The Dharma Manifesto

by Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya

It is now time for all concerned friends of Dharma to muster up the courage to get away from the hypnotic distractions of the controlled media delivered to them incessantly via the propaganda organs of television, portable communication devices, the Internet, and what is left of the print medium,[8] and to finally begin engaging in the open and determined political struggle necessary to save our people. We need more determined, positive and courageous political activists engaging in the work of awakening our people, and fewer faceless pessimists attempting to convince our people that we are already defeated. Anything less than actively and bravely working to save our people is nothing more than an infantile attempt to blow off steam by pontificating without actually acting. The difference between a pessimist versus a mature Dharma activist is that the latter understands that they are engaged in the serious work of political struggle — and then acts accordingly.

Amat Victoria Curam — victory favors the prepared. Dharma activists must be willing to perform the actual hard work necessary to create a living, breathing movement that can affect real-world political change. Such hard work involves investing one’s time, money, energy and reputation. It also requires risking unpopularity. The only road to transforming our world from the hellish realm it has become to the healthy civilization that we know it can be is through boots-on-the-ground activism, engaging our natural audience in every medium of persuasion available to us, and serious organizational development.

We will peacefully organize, educate, get the message out, expose the enemies of our people, begin running for office, vote for honest candidates, and lead our people by example. We will be paragons of nobility, selflessness, honesty, morality and intelligence. Then — and only then — will our people rally to our cause. Any other course of action is a waste of time.

Voting is only one aspect of an overall political strategy that includes the mobilization of newly empowered leaders, the education of our people, demonstrations, non-violent civil disobedience when necessary, the cultivation of thousands of Dharma communities and Dharma-centered businesses, the training of a new generation of activists, the formation of Dharma student organizations on every campus in America, and hundreds more vehicles of systematic political activities. Voting is just one of the activities that we must be involved in, in addition to all the rest of the above. We can enjoy success politically, but only if we ourselves, once and for all, act together as Dharma Nationalists, ceasing to blame the world around us for our own previous inadequacies, and learn how to be forcefully and intelligently engaged in the political scene.

  Embracing Empowerment

I believe that we have no choice but to embrace an optimistic outlook vis-à-vis the ultimate victory of Dharma. Throughout our history, it has been those great leaders who always remained positive and energized, and who never gave up even in the face of overwhelming opposition, who were responsible for our greatest victories. The dutiful Pandava princes of the great Mahabharata War and the 300 Spartans who gave their lives heroically at the Battle of Thermopylae are vivid examples of such victories in the face of overwhelming odds. Even when things seem to be at their darkest, those who have the will to win will always succeed in the end. I think optimistic tenacity is one of the greatest qualities of the eternal arya spirit.

Until we realize that the power over our people’s destiny is in our hands, and in our hands alone, we will continue to be doomed to failure. When, on the other hand, we finally realize that the enemies of the restoration of a healthy reality are nothing more than a paper tiger, and that every arya is capable of accomplishing anything he truly wills, then we will be empowered with the ability to save our people. I personally have complete faith that we will see a great awakening in our lifetimes. We will witness a Vedic Restoration. Of course, how quickly this comes about is up to us alone.

Whether we eventually form an actual political party or remain an outreach and pressure group (the former would get much more publicity, but the latter is much more influential and practically effective overall), the important thing is that we finally have a unified and very professionally-run organization in the form of the Dharma Nation Movement that is designed to win.

What is also crucial is that we need to always maintain as positive and optimistic a mindset as possible. When we look at the history of heroic Dharma leaders, they were always people who refused to give up or give in, regardless of the odds against them. Even when it was clear that they would ultimately lose the fight, still our heroic leaders preferred to give up their own lives than give up the fight.

It is only this type of undefeatable attitude that will assure our success. The moment we begin to feel that we are fighting a lost cause, then we are fighting a lost cause. It is that movement that can look at the long-term picture, positively and with faith in its cause, which will achieve victory. The Dharma Nation movement is that movement.

Rather than merely watching history after the fact, we all have a very real chance to help make history right now. Let us not lose that opportunity. Whether or not we achieve victory is not up to the tyrannical cabal of malevolent overlords who have self-servingly ruled over us for so long, or anyone else. It is up to us. We need to think positively. Of course we can win, but only if we do our part and work hard to make sure that winning becomes a reality. Our future is in our hands, not the hands of the unseen, nefarious forces hiding in the shadows. Our destiny is in our hands. We can win! The moment we begin thinking like this, then we will win.

  Our Audience

There is a non-violent sociopolitical revolution taking place in the United States the likes of which has not been seen since at least the Civil War of the 1860s. The mass awakening to the reality of our own survival has begun, and is proceeding toward the corrupt and inept career politicians in Washington like a massive tidal wave.

Millions of Americans are now coming together to protest against the rogue “President,” of whichever political party he belongs, with many holding some of the most assertive placards seen in mainstream protests in a long while.

  • Americans have been protesting on many separate occasions in hundreds of cities across the nation in the Tea Party protests.

  • Gun and ammunition sales are skyrocketing, with many weapons outlets running out of inventory, as a response to threats against the Second Amendment.

  • In a negative sense, there have been clear signs of a newly-emboldened and violently aggressive attitude in the American criminal undercurrent, with outbreaks of flash-mob violence by urban minority youth taking place in unprecedented proportions, which is only destined to increase in both frequency and ferocity against the innocent populace as time goes on.

  • Even many of the talk show hosts employed by the controlled media have been responding to the general mood in the air by openly talking about the need for systemic change in increasingly transparent terms.

  • The support of such populist leaders as Dr. Ron Paul has been a significant factor in recent politics, with Ron Paul getting live audiences often ranging from 5,000 to 9,000 passionate supporters everywhere he speaks.

The time has come to recognize and rapidly respond to the normal, everyday experiences of millions of innocent Americans who have had enough, who know that the system is broken, but who do not know that there is an answer to their frustration. We are that answer. Dharma Nationalism is that answer. If we can communicate intelligently and eloquently with our people, then there will be a natural resonance between our message and the people whom we are trying to reach. If we can learn how to tap into the consciousness of average, uninformed Americans, then our battle is won.

The Dharma Nation movement is not a populist mass movement. Our path to eventual governance in America will not be dependent upon winning over the majority of Americans to our ideas, or expecting the majority of individuals to possess within them the courage and dedication necessary to be committed activis
ts. Rather, our specific audience are those more special and rare individuals who represent the disaffected, intelligent, outsider idealists who are already open to our message to a large degree, and who are ready to act if they are only guided in which direction to head. Thus, a few of the constituents of our natural audience consists of:

  a) Followers of Dharma and yogaspirituality.

  b) Nationalists.

  c) Veterans.

  d) Ron Paul supporters.

  e) Sincere Tea Party activists.

  f) Straight Edge youth.

  g) The Patriot Movement.

  h) Paleoconservatives.

  i) The Truther movement.

  j) The Occupy Wall Street movement.

  k) Pagan reconstructionists.

  l) Paleo-Christians.

This is possibly the greatest opportunity in many decades for the Dharma Nation movement to make tremendous inroads into the consciousness of mainstream Americans, and, in fact, to lead them in this movement to take back America for a Natural Law-based culture of prosperity and sanity.

We have more reasons to be optimistic about the great awakening that is coming than we have had at any other point in our lifetimes. The time has come for us to take the lead of this movement and to reestablish a truly noble civilization in America. The time has now come for all Dharma Nationalists nationwide to help organize and lead this great endeavor.

  Defeating the Enemies of Dharma

“If you worship your enemy, you are defeated. If you adopt your enemy’s religion you are enslaved. If you breed with your enemy you are destroyed.”

  Polydoros

There are many very real enemies of the Natural Way. These enemies have waged a one-sided war of aggression against the Natural Way for the last four thousand years. Over the last two thousand years, they have enjoyed a virtually unmitigated history of success. Since the Enlightenment, these forces have incrementally seized almost every organ, medium of power and mode of communications that exists. Rather than waging their longer war in the name of the more overtly religious aspects of the Abrahmist worldview, however, that very same war is now conducted in the name of secularism, global governance, multicultural egalitarianism, the eradication of national borders, and the eventual establishment of a new world order. Indeed, I contend that most modern secular ideological developments are either direct or indirect facets of this distinctly Abrahamist project, with the incremental goal of establishing the core essence of the Abrahamic view of reality as the dominant and sole view of reality acceptable for all peoples. The very concept of “secularism” was non-existent previous to Abrahamism. Rather, secular Abrahamism arose in an artificially Abrahamized Europe as a schizophrenic rejection of the incontrovertible excesses of religious Abrahamism. In recent times, their “long march through the institutions,” to quote the late Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci (1891–1937), has led to their complete dominance over the institutions of academia, media, finance, government bureaucracy, the advertising industry, large charitable non-profits, religion and government. The greatest enemies of Natural Law, of liberty, and of healthy and meaningful civilization abide and thrive within our very borders.

As a result of their unbridled power, the opponents of Dharma can seem at first glance to be an almost omnipotent fortress of malevolence, immune to penetration and invincible. Nothing, however, can be further from the truth, for in their spiritual core, they are in a deeply weakened state as a direct result of their aberrant loathing of the Natural Way for so many untold generations. Their own moral and spiritual weakness has led to the deep hollowing-out of their once ostensibly unbeatable strength. To paraphrase one of their own ideological offspring, Mao Tse Tung, they are nothing more than “paper tigers,” without the vigor of their glory days and ripe for unbridled and ignominious defeat.

The first step toward defending ourselves against the encroachments of any such aggressor, and to then defeat them outright, is to first educate ourselves as much as possible about their true nature. Once we know the motivations of the perverse enemies of noble civilization, we also then understand their deepest weaknesses. Secondly, we then need to learn from their own battle-tested techniques and successes. Once we understand these, then we can adopt the least unethical of the enemy’s time-proven weapons to be used against them. We need to educate ourselves about the enemies of Dharma, not from the warped perspective of the “politically correct” propaganda that was created by these same enemies, but from a historically factual, philosophically discerning, and Dharmic perspective. Those who oppose Dharma will be defeated — swiftly, decisively, without violence, and in a manner that they could never imagine happening even in their most hopelessly warped fantasies.

Sanatana Dharma Jayate! Victory to the Dharma Nation!

I sometimes believe that our enemies know with even greater certainty than most supporters of Dharma presently do that the arising of a new Dharma Nation in the very near future is an inevitability that no one can stop. No one. It is as inevitable an occurrence as is the Sun rising from the east tomorrow morning.

“Whenever and wherever there is a decline in Dharma, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of that which is opposed to Dharma — at that time I descend Myself. To deliver the sages and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of Dharma, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium.”

  Bhagavad Gita (4:7–8)

Today, more than at any other time in recent history, we need to meditate deeply upon the meaning of Lord Krishna’s words in these two inspiring verses. The social-historical conditions that necessitate a direct intervention of the Divine are now here. May Bhagavan Sri Krishna directly empower His devotees with His divine grace to do the needful. May we be empowered such that we can revive Dharma in this world. May the Earth now be saved. Evam bhavatu — may it be so.

[8] John Swinton, the editor of the New-York Tribune in the 1880s, made the following prescient observation when addressing a banquet for newspaper editors: “Whoever controls the media controls the peoples’ minds. There is no such thing in America as an independent press, unless it is in the country towns. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write his honest opinions, and if you did you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid one hundred and fifty dollars a week for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with — others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things — and any of you who would be so foolish as to write his honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his race and his country for his daily bread. You know this and I know it, and what folly is this to be toasting an Independent Press. We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the
property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.” In the 130 years since Swinton openly acknowledged the media’s purely propagandistic nature, the media’s corruptness has only gotten more invasive, cunning in its methodology and criminally implicated.

  Potential Allies of Dharma Nationalism

We favor the forming of beneficial strategic alliances — but with zero philosophical compromise. This principle is one of the keys to our absolute success. The Dharma Nation movement warmly welcomes alliances with other movements throughout the globe that have similar goals. But we neither vigorously seek, nor require, such alliances. Several of the movements which we view as potential allies of the Dharma Nation Movement include:

  • The Eurasia Movement

  • The European New Right

  • The National-Anarchist Movement

  • The Natural Law Party

  • Radical Traditionalists

Dharma Nationalist Thinkers — Historical and Contemporary

There have been many thinkers throughout history who have expressed Dharma Nationalist ideas, either fully or partially. The inclusion of any particular thinker on this list does not in any manner infer that we wholly support the totality of that particular thinker’s opinions, political or otherwise.
