Daddy's Precious Jewel

“Do you want this, baby?” he asked, closing his hand around his full, hard erection. Her eyes ran hungrily down his beautifully sculptured body, his manly arms, muscled chest, and flat stomach. He moved his hand so she could clearly see what he was offering.

“Yes, Daddy,” she said greedily. “I do want it. I do.”

  “No barlese?”

“No. I don’t want barlese. I want you. Please, Daddy.”

And she swung around so he could plunge into her, crying out as he filled her to capacity, arching her back as his hand reached around to squeeze her breasts and he bent to gently nip her shoulder. Then he leaned back, grasping her hips and plunging in and out until she was crying out with each new assault. He’d waited too long and suffered too much to take it slow. They had plenty of time for that later. Right now he needed to take her hard and stake his claim. He came with a roar, thrusting deep as his seed pumped out, and he could feel her bucking and contracting under him, crying and moaning with her own desperate need and ecstasy.

  Chapter 31

  Marcus and Pearl

Marcus walked to meet the bus as it pulled in, then waited by the door for Pearl to alight so he could take her briefcase and help her down the steps.

Once out of the way of the other passengers, he kissed her. “I’m glad you’re back,” he growled into her ear. “I missed you both.” He laid his hand on her gently swollen belly. “I think that will be the last time you go on your own. I don’t like it.”

“I was fine. Honestly. Look, there’s mine,” she said pointing as the driver removed her overnight bag from the luggage compartment. “Not that I wouldn’t rather go with you, but you couldn’t get away, and Ray met me at the bus. And to be honest I think it was good having time alone with your mum, just the two of us. I mean Alan and Ray and Tina and Nick were there last night for dinner as well, but Linda and I had lots of time during the day to do some mother-in-law, daughter-in-law bonding.”

“I’m still not certain I fully trust this new version of Mother,” Marcus said, collecting her bag and carrying it along with her briefcase to his car. As he opened the door for her and put her bags on the rear seat, he grinned, adding, “Perhaps she’s mellowing with age, or being a grandmother, or maybe Alan has talked some sense into her. Who knows? Whatever, I’m not complaining.”

“As hard and as prickly as she can be on the outside, she adores you,” Pearl said seriously as he got into the driver’s seat and started the car. “I think she got quite a fright when you left. I don’t think she ever believed you would go – and stay away – but when you did and she realised you were serious, I think it scared her to think she might really lose you. She would never say, but she regrets missing our wedding, as small and unpretentious as it was.” She smiled at him. “I don’t think she intends missing out on our baby too.”

“She’s stubborn, though,” Marcus said wryly. “I’m not convinced she would have relented without Alan’s intervention.”

Pearl giggled. “That’s true. Alan is so nice, and I think he’s good for her. Don’t bother coming in,” she said as Marcus pulled up outside Reg’s shop. “I’ll only be a minute. All I’ve got are the two gold chains I told you were going cheap. I’ll just pop them in the safe.”

A few minutes later they were headed for home. “So, how do you feel about your family coming for lunch next Sunday. Were you surprised they accepted?”

“Surprised is an understatement! I didn’t think Mother would ever come; I didn’t think she slummed it out of the city.”

Pearl patted his arm. “Alan accepted before she had time to refuse, but I think secretly she was dying for an invitation, but way too proud to ask. She’s very curious to see where you’re living and have a closer look at what you’re doing, and even if she doesn’t say so, she’s as proud as punch of you and your work. She’s seen the stories on TV and in the papers, about how so many people are interested and how well it’s going so far.”

Arriving at the farmhouse which Marcus had persuaded his landlord to sell to him, they went inside. Marcus put her bags down and looked contentedly around.

“I’m glad they’re coming. And Ray and Tina and Nick.” He placed his hands tenderly on her belly. “I know we go to the city quite often, but I want the cousins to spend as much time as possible together, so it’ll be good if they can come here sometimes too. I think we should build a guest bungalow. What do you think?”

“Oh, Daddy. That’s a wonderful idea! I’m glad they’re coming, too. And I’m going to invite my folks. And John and Debbie and Tom and Lily. It should be a lovely family day.”

“I hope you’re right, but you should be prepared for Mother to carry on as though she might catch something nasty from being so close to nature. That’s if she doesn’t literally faint when she sees the homely cottage her son, his wife and their unborn child live in.”

“It’s a lovely house,” Pearl protested putting her hands on top of his which he’d left resting protectively on her belly. “Besides, we have a trump card here. I reckon she will be trying her hardest to be on her best behaviour.”

Marcus grinned and nodded. “Hopefully. She dotes on her grandson, and she never had a girl of her own, just two rowdy boys, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s secretly over the moon at the prospect of a granddaughter. And soon I will have two little girls. You will still be my Little girl sometimes, won’t you, baby, even when you have to be really grown up most of the time?”

“Of course, Daddy,” Pearl responded immediately to his cue by wriggling up against him. “Your Little girl isn’t going anywhere, and she’s going to come and play with you whenever she can and you can read her stories in bed and all stuff like that. I want that too, with all my heart. And my mum is going to want to babysit, so we can have playtime then.”

“Come and see what I’ve done while you’ve been away,” he said, taking her hand and leading her out of the kitchen. “Shut your eyes,” he told her as they stood before the closed door bearing a sign saying “Office”. She scrunched her eyes tight as he opened the door and pulled her gently into the room. “Right, you can open them.”

“Oh!” she cried in enchanted wonder as she took it all in. The sign on the door in no way matched the décor of the room, which far from being just a serious, adult room with a desk, chair, computer and files, was also a child’s delight.

“Since we made the other room into a nursery, I thought I would make you your own playroom here, and the door can be locked and no one will be interested in seeing my office.”

“Oh, thank you, Daddy. It’s perfect. You’re so clever, and I didn’t even know you were doing it!” Pearl said as she opened the drawers and cupboards and found her favourite, Little girl clothes. The pink rug with the white horse standing beneath a giant full moon that they’d bought on their first shopping trip together was on the floor, and a small table held her stuffies and dolls, colouring books and crayons, and the other toys she’d collected or brought from home.

“I’ll get a couch to go in here, too, and then we’ll have somewhere to put your cushions and to sit and read and whatever.”

“I love you, Daddy. You’re so clever. I wondered what the others might say or think if they saw these things. But it’s our special secret, isn’t it, Daddy?”

He took her into his arms being careful not to squash her belly and kissed her. “It is, my precious jewel. It is.”

  Polly Carter

Polly Carter has been writing in one form or another most of her life. With more time on her hands after her children had left home, she was finally able to realise her long-held desire to write romance novels.

“I’ve always loved the idea of being a writer and taking my work with me wherever I go. I hate being stuck in an office, and being able to travel and work at the same time seems like the perfect life. And, of course, I love, love, and love writing about it.”

Polly has four children and fou
r grandchildren. She lives in Western Australia where she has spent most of her life. Her other passions include dogs, travel, reading (quantum physics, I know!) and occasionally painting.
