“Quit yelling in my muthafuckin ear. I’ll see yo’ ass when I see you. But the more you hit my line, the less likely the shit is gon’ happen. I told you I need my fucking space occasionally.”

“Okay. Just don’t forget about me.”

  “I won’t, baby.”

  “I love you, Seem.”

“I know.” I nodded before quickly hanging up.

“Sorry. I just ran out of some things, so I came here to make breakfast. Hope it’s okay.” Kasslyn avoided eye contact as she began preparing her meal.

Standing, I slipped my phone into my pocket and made my way closer to her. Snaking my arms around her body from behind, I kissed on her neck, but she used her shoulder to nudge me.

“You mad or some shit?” I still had my arms wrapped around her shapely frame.

  “Not mad.”

“Yeah you are.” I turned her to face me, hemming her up against the counter she was cooking on.

“Where did you go… last night?”

“Came back over here. You wanted me to spend the night?” I smiled as she rolled her eyes.

“No, forget it.” She turned her face, but I went with her, pecking her soft ass lips deeply. She let me, and also let my hands grope her ass while doing so. “Stop. Isn’t Jamal still here?”

“Yeah, but you ain’t think about his ass last night when I was inside yo’ fine ass.”

“Kaseem, stop.” She pushed me away lightly and then added, “I think I’m going to go back to Jane’s. I came here to be Jamal’s wife, and shit just isn’t going the way I intended.”

“You not going back.” I took her hands into mine and intertwined our fingers. I ain’t know why I didn’t want her ass to go back, but she wasn’t, and that shit was final.

“Yes I am. It’s best. Jamal deserves better and—”

“What about me?” I let my teeth sink down into my bottom lip as I admired her face, which appeared to be free of makeup.

  “You have a girlfriend—”

  “Nah, I don’t.”

“Who did you just call ‘baby’ on the phone?”

  “My sister.”

“You don’t have a fucking sister, Kaseem.” She laughed, flashing her wide smile.

I kissed her lips then backed away some to free her from being up against the counter.

“You can’t leave, because we need you down at Opulence. Be ready in an hour so we can go.”

I didn’t give Kasslyn a chance to respond before I left the kitchen and walked through the foyer before jogging up the stairs.

As I walked down the hall to my bedroom, I passed Jamal on his way out and gave him a head nod.

“Gonna go talk to her now,” he let me know.

“Don’t take long. She has to come down to Opulence, and I’m driving her.”

Pausing, Jamal turned to me. “Well I’m on my way now, so I can just drive her.”

  “Nah, she’s not ready yet.”

Again, Jamal stared at me suspiciously.

  “I can wait.”

“No, you can’t. You start work in thirty minutes, and I expect you to be on time. Alexis will let me know if you’re late.”

Jamal swallowed hard before nodding his head and briskly walking off down the stairs.

I proceeded to my room to get dressed, and about forty-five minutes later, I was ready to go. I went straight to the back house to look for Kasslyn, and as soon as I rang the doorbell, she opened the door, ready to go as I instructed. She was more dressed up than the last time she came down to Opulence, wearing a tight skirt, some top that went around her neck, and heels that showed her pretty ass toes. Her hair was hanging down messily, but her edges weren’t crunchy like a lot of these females.

  “You trying to impress me?”

“No.” She half smiled, walking out and locking the door. “I just want to look the part. I hope this top is appropriate. I don’t really have professional shirts.”

“Long as I like it, you good.” I licked my lips at the sight. It was unintentional.

Kasslyn rolled her eyes and walked past me, hitting me with her perfume yet again. I eyed her ass the whole way to the car, adjusting myself because I was sure as fuck getting hard as a brick.

  Kasslyn

When Kaseem and I reached his loud yellow Lamborghini, he opened the weird door for me, and I slipped inside. I’d dated a lot of rich clients, but they kept their vehicles simple—Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, and a few Rolls-Royces here and there. This shit was dope though and only one of Kaseem’s many cars.

“I’m guessing you like this.” He got in on the driver’s side and started the car.

  “Yeah, I do.”

“I might let you push it one day. It depends.” He sped off.

  “Depends on…?”

“How good you suck my dick.”

“Excuse me? I don’t do that.”

  “Yeah you do.”

He glanced away from the road to look me over for a second. He was so fucking handsome that it made me not like him because of how much I enjoyed staring at him. Additionally, the more I spent time with him, the more I was feeling him, which wasn’t a good thing.

I knew Kaseem would never even entertain the idea of being with me, for more reasons than one. I was his brother’s fiancée, and he also wasn’t the type to lock himself down, clearly. Somehow, even though I knew that, I slept with him, and now I found myself with another version of Elliot.

“No, I don’t. I’ve never in my life had a dick in my mouth.”

“But you about to start. Tonight.”

“No, I’m not fucking you again. That was a mistake. I was in the moment, and Jamal had me upset.”

“Right. Well like I said,” he made a left turn, “tonight you getting fucked, and you gon’ be sucking dick too.”

His words brought on a tingle below the waist, and I didn’t know why, because I didn’t approve of how he was talking to me.

  “Sure, negro.”

For the rest of the ride, Kaseem played his music, singing along as if he sounded good. He was nobody’s Miguel, but it did make for a good comedy, especially when he called himself trying to sing to me.

We made it to Opulence, and coming into the building with its CEO was a totally different experience than coming alone. Everyone here treated Kaseem like he was royalty. I was a bit surprised by how nice he was to everyone, even the old man cleaning the hallways.

“Good morning, Mr. Banks.” Alexis the secretary smiled up at him, completely ignoring me.

“Morning. Handle this list.” He pulled a piece of paper from his suit jacket.

“Yes, sir. Would you like me to bring some lunch and stuff to you later?” Alexis batted her eyelashes. She was pretty, but I could tell she was ghetto, mainly because of how unprofessional she was being right now and back when I first met her.

“No. Just handle the list, and make sure any phone calls that come in for the next hour leave a detailed message, and legible ones.”

Alexis’s mouth hung open slightly, I guess because that wasn’t the answer she was expecting.

“Ri-right, of course, Mr. Banks.” She stammered then darted her eyes to me as if this were my fault. To fuck with her, I gave her a grin and finger wave, before following behind Kaseem.

I felt her eyes on my back, but I neglected to turn around and acknowledge it.

“Is there a woman that works here who you aren’t sleeping with?” I asked as soon as we entered his office.

I admit I was bothered. I hadn’t been jealous since I’d dated Elliot, so I didn’t like this feeling. And a friendly dick having nigga like Kaseem was the wrong type of man to have a jealousy issues over because it would never be put at ease.

“Plenty.” He flipped through a folder at his desk as I set my things down. Just then, a knock could be heard. “Come in!” Kaseem shouted, still looking over the papers in the beige folder.

“Oh… good morning. Nice to see you again, Keisha.” Everly fake smiled, holding the
doorknob as she shut the door.

“It’s Kasslyn,” I corrected her, sitting down on the comfy leather couch.

“Right. I’m sorry. I can’t remember every little person.”

“Everly, what?” Kaseem interjected, sitting behind his desk, bearing a sexy frown.

“I was just, umm… I wanted to know when you wanted to do the commercial?” Everly fidgeted like she was nervous or something.

“What? I told yo’ ass next month. Focus on getting the billboards in the cities I told you to.” Kaseem’s brows were still dipped between his eyes.

“Okay. I just wanted to be sure next month was still the plan.” Exhaling heavily, she asked, “Did you two ride here together?”

“Everly, we’ll have a talk later, aight?”

“Kaseem, it was just a question.”

“And mine was just a statement. Tomorrow morning, be in my office so we can chat.”

Even though Kaseem was calm, his words still seemed to scare Everly. He kept his eyes on her as she nodded before hurrying out.

“Is this gonna happen every time?” I leaned back against the couch, enjoying how soft it was.

“Nah.” He grabbed a few more files then came to sit next to me. “I’ll get her ass straight.”

I nodded before he and I began going over what he needed from me as far as the final logos.

A few hours later, we decided to take a break, and like last time, he offered food. He had Alexis order it for us, which she wasn’t too pleased about, and by the time we were finished, it was a little after 6 p.m.

“So when do you find time for your other business?” I asked, watching him loosen the top buttons to his business shirt. Just the sight had me hot.

  “At night.”

  “Like tonight?”

“Why? You wanna put in some work?”

“Sure.” I shrugged. I was actually intrigued. “I wouldn’t mind going with you.”

Kaseem stared at me for a little bit before a cute ass smile spread across his face. He licked his lips, shaking his head and drinking some of his Hennessy.

“I thought you’d be more into niggas like my brother.”

“I am into your brother; I’m marrying him.” I waved my ring and giggled. I had a glass of Hennessy and was already a little lit.

“You’re marrying him, but you fucking me.” Kaseem yanked me over into his lap so that I was straddling him, and we began kissing hungrily.

“Wait, tell me something about you.”

  “I wanna fuck you.”

“Kaseem, seriously. I told you about my mother, now you have to tell me something.”

He glanced off, with his hands still rubbing up and down my sides.

“I don’t have no interesting ass backstory like you.”

“Why are you and Jamal worlds apart? Didn’t you grow up together?” I played with his facial hair.

“We did. And I don’t know. We may be brothers, but we’re two different people. Shit, I’m even dark skinned like my mama, and he’s a light bright like my pops.

My parents were strict, but I hate being controlled and told what to do, so growing up, I purposely did the opposite of what they wanted. Jamal, I guess didn’t mind, so he let them run his life.

I got into selling drugs because I knew it was something they’d wanna kill me for. Then when I saw how good the money was, I kept the shit going, moved up the ladder. The bread I make from Opulence is heavenly, but nothing is like illegal money. It’s quicker.”

I nodded. I liked listening to him talk.

“See, you are interesting.” I smirked, making him do the same.

Our eyes moved around one another’s faces for a bit before we resumed kissing. We were so into it, that we didn’t hear anyone knock or enter Kaseem’s office.

“I knew it.” Everly’s voice boomed. “Jamal’s fiancée my ass!” She darted toward us, so I quickly hopped up.

Before she could swing on me, Kaseem shot up then gripped her tiny wrists in his hands.

“Take yo’ ignorant ass home. You going on leave for the next two days.”

“How could you do this!” Everly cried loudly, dropping down to the floor while Kaseem still held her wrists. I didn’t like her ass, but I did feel bad seeing her so broken up.

“Pull it together, Everly.” Kaseem walked away from her and to his desk phone, before calling security.

Moments later, a big man showed up to escort a sobbing Everly out of the office and building.

“You watch your back, bitch!” Everly growled through tears as she glared at me.

“You think she’s gonna tell?” I quizzed Kaseem as soon as he shut the door behind his security and angry ass Everly.

“Nah.” He shook his head before roughly picking his phone back up to make another phone call.

All that had been happening made me want to return to Jane's more and more. Also, the fact that she constantly called and texted, trying to convince me didn’t help either. My old life seemed so much more appealing than this new fraud one I was building with Jamal. The only plus I’d experienced was messing around with Kaseem, but it was just my luck that it was something I shouldn’t have been doing.

  “I—”

“I apologize for that shit, Kass.” Kaseem interrupted and surprised me.

  “Really?”

“Yes, really.” He chuckled very subtly before plopping down onto the couch and rubbing his large hands down his beautiful mug. “You a cool ass girl and don’t deserve to be in the middle of all this shit.” For a moment, Kaseem looked off, his strong jaw twitching and turning me on. “Including fucking around with me.” He finally made eye contact with me.

I came back to sit next to him, inhaling his cologne yet again.

“Even though being around you hasn’t been the best choice, it’s the only time I feel okay.” I spoke honestly.

He snickered, but not as if he were actually laughing.

“You belong to my fucking brother.” Again, he ran his hands down his face. His statement seemed like it was directed more toward himself than me.

Without saying anything, I moved closer to him, kissing the corner of his mouth. That was all it took for Kaseem to turn and kiss me, reaching up my skirt to yank on my panties. Once off, he brought me into his lap, where I assisted him in unbuckling his slacks. Lifting me slightly, he forced his way inside of me, bringing me down slowly as we let out throaty moans.

“Mmm.” I whined, hugging his neck tightly as we kissed hungrily.

He used his hands to guide my hips, moving them up and down his shaft. It felt so good that I rained down on him in under two minutes.

“Fuck,” he groaned, cupping my ass roughly and pounding upward in my middle.

“Ahh!” I tossed my head back, enjoying the feeling of him being so deeply inside of me.

I was completely drenched down below, and it seemed like I was cumming constantly as he hammered me, holding my ass with more grip than a little bit.

“This shit is mine, Kass, you understand?” Kaseem sucked on my neck as he continued fucking me mercilessly.

“Ye-yes,” I stuttered, releasing on him just as his strong arms circled my body, bear hugging me into his chest as he came not too long after.

We sat there panting, kissing, rubbing, and everything else right there in his office.

“Ain’t nobody ever been in this but me, right?” he inquired, broad chest heaving as he stared up into my eyes.

My lie had gone too far to admit the truth now, so I simply nodded before pressing my lips against his.

  Jamal

  Three days later…

I was in my office studying a few contracts that Kaseem wanted me to read through, when I heard someone knocking at my door. No one really came to my office unannounced unless it was my brother, and he wasn’t here at the moment.

Minimizing the screen and closing my laptop, I yelled, “Yes?”

Everly entered, carrying a case of donuts. She frequently brough
t treats to the building, so this was nothing new.

“Thanks.” I smiled, looking over the array of donuts before picking one up.

“You’re welcome.” She closed the box but was still standing there.

“I hope you’re feeling better. I heard about you having to be escorted from the building.”

“Yeah, I am. Kaseem just makes me a little crazy sometimes is all. So when I saw him and your fiancée in his office, I jumped to conclusions.”

I nodded, wondering why she put emphasis on the word fiancée.

“So they work together a lot?” I queried.

“Yeah. They’re usually attached at the hip when they come in. I mean, I thought she would be working more closely with me since I’m in marketing, but you know Kaseem is a damn control freak, so I guess he wants to take over this.”

As I listened to Everly talk about this as if it were nothing, I felt myself getting angry. The past few days, Kaseem had been giving me a vibe, almost like he was interested in Kasslyn. Not to mention, I’d been working for the company for years, and Kaseem never wasted his time working closely with people who held Kasslyn’s job title. He’d walk them through what he wanted, and after that, it was everyone else’s job to make sure it happened.

  “Yeah, I guess so.”

“Kasslyn seems sweet, so good pick. I would keep my eye on her though, because we all know my man makes the ladies act out.”

Everly and I laughed together, even though I didn’t find her joke funny in the slightest.

After she left, I sat thinking for a little bit before getting back to work. About five hours and some change later, I was off, so I went straight home, in the mood to see my soon-to-be wife. Everly’s comments had me afraid that my brother was possibly pushing up on Kasslyn.

Kaseem had always been the nigga to get any and every girl he wanted. I didn’t recall a time where a woman didn’t fall for him or respond well to his advances. Even though I knew Kasslyn was a good and loyal girl, my brother’s charm was strong. I prayed he wouldn’t betray me in such a way, but then again, I’d been sleeping with Rhea behind his back for years. He had Everly though, so in my eyes, him doing me dirty would be way worse.
