“I think I saw her before. Her and yo’ brother was at the mall a couple months ago.” Roderick nodded, taking down some of the Gin straight from the bottle. “She’s bad as hell.” He laughed loudly, looking to Warren to join him.
“Yeah, she is. She mine though, so make sure you remember that. I would hate to have to fuck yo’ rock head ass up over a female you’ll never get the chance to fuck with.”
It was pure silence in the living room, before Warren quickly changed the subject. He hated for me and bitch made ass Roderick to get into it, because he knew it was nothing for me to throw these fucking hands and then possibly pop his ass.
I wasn’t like these new aged ass thug muthafuckas that were all bark and no bite, only doing shit for social media, but wouldn’t throw a biscuit in a food fight behind closed doors. Beating the brakes off a nigga was normal for me.
We shot the shit for another hour or so, before I took my ass home. I quickly showered then brushed my teeth, before going to the guesthouse to see Kasslyn.
“It’s so late.” She giggled as I crawled into her bed, kissing her supple mocha thighs. She had on these little silk shorts, probably on purpose.
“You missed me?” I got under the covers with her, wedging myself between her warm thighs as we kissed.
“I did.”
“I wanna take you out tomorrow. On some fly shit. You gotta get a dress or something though; whatever the fuck you wanna wear.”
“You sure it’s okay? Jamal—”
“You mine now. He knows that shit, and it ain’t no issue. Just make sure you’re ready tomorrow, aight?”
“Okay.” Kasslyn’s perfect smile made me return the gesture before we started kissing hungrily again. “Wait, I’ll be right back.” She nudged me off, hopping from the bed, so I took that time to undress.
As I did so, my phone rang, and I saw it was Rhea. I hit ignore, but her foolish ass called right back. I decided to answer because I knew she’d blow me the fuck up all night if I didn’t.
“Fuck you want? And make the shit quick, Rhea.”
“Damn, that’s how you answer? You should be begging me to forgive you by now, but instead, you’ve been ignoring me.”
“You got ten seconds before you hear the dial tone.”
“Can you come over so we can talk?”
“Nope.”
“Fine. I guess I will say it over the phone. I’m pregnant, nigga, and I’m keeping it.”
Click.
“I’m back.” Kasslyn returned to the bedroom, completely stripped down, before I could process what the fuck Rhea had just told me.
Not saying a word, I welcomed Kasslyn into my lap and fucked her ass to clear the news from my mind.
Kasslyn
Today, I was going back to see that stylist Rhea so she could fix me up. I couldn’t wait to get my hair done again, because I knew whatever style she had in mind would make me look perfect.
Life had been going quite well now that Jamal pretty much knew about Kaseem and I. He even paid to have my necklace fixed, according to Kassem.
We didn’t make out on Kaseem’s kitchen table in front of him or anything, but we could actually spend time together without me worrying that Jamal would pop up and say something.
Although it felt nice to be so free with my feelings for Kaseem, I couldn’t help but feel badly for how things went down between Jamal and me. When I was still working for Jane, I remembered looking forward to seeing him and how sweet I thought he was. It was just crazy to me how fast things between us collapsed.
As soon as I parked Kaseem’s Range Rover, my phone buzzed, so I looked down to see it was him.
Seem: Got a surprise for you when you get back.
Smiling to myself, I replied.
Me: Can’t wait.
I locked my phone and then headed inside to get my hair done. No one was there but the front desk girl, so she greeted me like last time and then took me to Rhea’s station. I noticed Rhea didn’t look as full of life as she did the last time I saw her, but maybe she always looked as down as she did today, and the day I saw her was a rarity.
“Hey.” I smiled at her, and she gave me a weak one back before gesturing that I sit down. It was quiet since we didn’t have the other ladies in the shop to give us some background noise, making things extremely awkward. “So, are you okay?”
“I’m as okay as I can be.” She began putting something that felt like a serum on my scalp. It was nice.
“If you’re not in the mood to do hair today, I can come back later.”
I wasn’t one of those women who were a lost cause if they couldn’t get into a salon chair. I knew how to work my own shit. Hell, I rarely came to get it professionally done. This was probably the fifth time in all my adult years.
“No, boo. Doing hair is the only thing that keeps my mind off of things. Am I bringing you down? If so, I’m sorry.”
“No, no, not at all.” I ran my palms down my thighs. I felt so bad for her because she looked like a homeless puppy or something. “Did you want to talk about it? If not, it’s okay. I just find it helpful to get things out to people you don’t know sometimes.”
Rhea was silent, so I assumed she didn’t agree with my statement.
“I’m pregnant, and this just isn’t a good time for that.”
“Oh, why not? You have a great business.”
“Yeah, money is not the issue; it’s my personal life. I’m pretty sure my boyfriend isn’t happy about it. He won’t think it’s his either.”
“What kind of asshole is he?”
We both laughed.
“A big one sometimes, but I love him. He’s a great guy, hardworking, handsome, and he takes care of the people he loves.”
“So then he’ll take care of you and you guys’ baby.”
Again, Rhea was silent.
“I can only hope so. For now, I’m just wondering if I should get an abortion or not.”
“Don’t kill your baby over him.” I shook my head. “Sorry, didn’t mean to move.”
“It’s okay, girl.” She chuckled. “You’re right though. Thank you.”
For the next few hours, Rhea did my hair, and I changed the subject so she wouldn’t have to talk about her trash ass man.
As she fixed my edges, I admired my hair in the mirror, more impressed than the last time she’d fixed me up.
“Hey, so my friend Leila and I are going out tonight. Did you maybe want to come and get your mind off of things?” I rose up, paying Rhea in cash, including her tip.
“I think I’d like that. I haven’t hit the club in over a month.”
“Great. Put your number in my phone, and I will text you in a little bit.”
Rhea did as I asked, then I called her so she’d have my information. We hugged and then I left her shop to head back home to my man… I guess he was my man. We hadn’t really discussed it, but it surely felt like he was mine. Plus, I saw no sign of other women anymore.
Hell, he was always with me, even at work. He did his shit alone at night, but I knew he was working his other job and not dabbling in anything suspicious.
That was something I loved—liked about Kaseem. He was transparent in the good way. I never felt like he was acting one way but feeling like or thinking another.
I pulled into the driveway of Kaseem’s mansion, and when I got out, I spotted a beautiful Range Rover with a bow on the hood. I swear I drooled at how beautiful it was. Before I could even say anything, Kaseem emerged from the side of the house, looking as gorgeous as ever, wearing a big smile on his face.
“Who is that for?” I pointed to the pristine vehicle.
“Who you think?”
“No, no. I told you I was gonna buy a Honda.”
“And you still can. Honda got some nice shit, but I wanted to get you something too.” He neared me, slipping his strong arms around my body.
We kissed a few times, then he backed away and gestured toward the truck. As badly as I wanted to get my own
first car, I’d be a fool to give this back.
I rushed over to it and began inspecting the inside and all around it. Everything was pretty and expensive looking, right down to the super shiny rims.
“Thank you so much, Kaseem.” I felt my tear ducts activate. I reached for his hand, and then made him hug my body as I tilted my head back for a peck.
After kissing hungrily for a few, he pulled the keys from his pocket and put them into my hand. He pecked me once more then went back into the house as I stayed outside, rubbing my hands across the white paint of my car. I snapped a few photos then sent them to Leila so she could see, before turning to walk inside of the house. I ran right into Jamal, making me jump back slightly.
“Hey, Jamal.”
He said nothing, just stared down at me with his hands in his pockets.
“Enjoying your new life, Kass?”
“Jamal, it’s not like that. Kaseem and I just happened, and if we’re being honest, you don’t love me.”
“You know nothing about me. You don’t know who I love, and furthermore, you’re very unaware of what I’m capable of.” Inhaling sharply, he added, “Nice car.”
I watched him walk off, thinking about what he said.
Pulling myself together, I went inside the main house to thank my man again, before going to the guesthouse to get ready for tonight.
Spending every dollar, it ain't no problem, I don't give a fuck…
“Type of Way” by Eric Bellinger had everyone in the club dancing and grinding on one another. Leila and I had had a couple drinks, while Rhea sipped on her juice. She seemed to be in much better spirits here, which I was thankful for.
“See, ain’t nothing a little clubbing can’t fix, even when it’s about an ain’t shit nigga!” Leila raised her glass, swaying to Chris Brown’s verse as Rhea and I laughed.
We both got up to join her, even allowing a few other people to flood our area. Once Rhea and Leila started dancing with two guys, I excused myself to go to the bathroom. I could usually hold my liquor well, but I guess tonight, my bladder wasn’t having it.
After letting the girls know where I was going, I went down and to the back where the bathroom was. Thankfully, there wasn’t that usual long line you found at the clubs, so I was able to relieve myself fairly quickly. I gussied up in the mirror, then tread out so I could get back to my section.
“Damn, baby.” A male voice called out over the Meek Mill track, gripping my wrist in his hand.
“Excuse me!” I turned to bark just as he yanked me into him. “Elliot?” I frowned, staring up at the knucklehead ass nigga who played me the day my mama killed herself.
“Yep. And damn have you grown.”
“Let me go.”
“I’ve missed you. Had I known you’d turn out like this, I would’ve come back to you sooner.”
“Well it’s too late. I’ve been over you for years.” I was still trying to pry his fingers from my body.
“I don’t believe it. We were soul mates.”
“You need to let me go before I knee the fuck out of your balls and turn you into the same sex as me.” I was dead serious, even tapping his nuts with my kneecap to let him know I wasn’t joking and had easy access.
“Everything good?” Rhea’s voice called out, just as Elliot loosened his grip on me. I threw his hands off because he wasn’t moving fast enough.
“Yep, fine. Did you have to pee?” I grinned at Rhea, trying not to be weird since Elliot hadn’t moved. I felt his eyes on me as I faced Rhea.
“Yeah, I do.”
“Okay, come on.” I reached for her hand, and she slipped it into mine before we switched off to the bathroom, leaving Elliot where he was.
“So who was that?” Rhea yelled since she was behind the stall.
“Just an ex from very long ago.”
“He looked like he was still in love with you. Y’all were standing pretty closely.” She came from the stall. “Are the feelings mutual?”
“Girl, hell no! He dogged me out on the worst day ever, and I haven’t looked back since.”
“Why the worst day?” She dried her hands after washing them.
“Just had some family issues. But Elliot is old news. I have a new man now, and he couldn’t even begin to compare to him.”
“I hear that!”
We slapped hands.
“Well let’s go back because I don’t want Leila going home with some loser ass nigga.”
We burst into laughter before heading back up to our area, and thankfully, Elliot was nowhere to be found along the way.
Everly Jones
Today was the first day in a while that that bitch Kasslyn wasn’t here at the office. I wanted to click my damn heels when I saw Kaseem walk in alone.
He’d been ignoring me ever since I made a fool of myself in his office when I caught him with Kasslyn. The sight still haunted me ’til this day. Kaseem had never cheated on me, and the fact that he chose to with the likes of Kasslyn baffled me.
Yes, she was a pretty girl, but I was prettier. Not to mention, I had a degree and made my own money. Kassem didn’t have to adopt me from off the street and throw me a bone like he’d done Kasslyn, yet somehow, he favored her over me. That shit was about to be over, however.
I’d put a lot of time into being with Kaseem, and at the end of this all, I would be meeting him at the end of the aisle. I’d met his family, gone to family events, and the whole nine. Kaseem was my man, and Kasslyn was simply something distracting him at the moment.
Making sure I looked good in the mirror, I made my way to Kaseem’s office, knocking lightly. I was sure to wear the perfume he loved to smell on me, Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs, and my cutest skirt suit. It was a beautiful pink color that went well with my supple brown skin.
Whipping my fresh press, I placed one hand on my hip since I heard his footsteps. He usually yelled for the person to come in, but I guess today, he was on a different tip.
I wanted to smile seeing his eyes drift down my frame once he answered the door.
“Good morning, Mr. Banks. May I come in?” I inquired politely.
He nodded for me to enter, saying, “Feeling better?”
“I am, thank you. I want you to know that the new commercial is performing well. I have the charts here to prove that an hour after its showing, sales spiked in nearing stores.”
“Damn.” Kaseem took the paper I’d handed him to review it. “I guess you were right about the fucking color change.”
“Yep. I do know what’s best. That’s why we’ve been such a great team.”
He said nothing as he handed me the paper back, then rounded his desk to sit down. His Burberry cologne was prevalent, and he looked like a sexy ass Greek god in his button up and slacks. I watched as he stroked his perfectly lined facial hair that only brought out his sexy features embedded in his deep chocolate face.
“Anything else?”
“Well,” I sat down, “I think we should maybe talk. Our relationship has been in a weird space.”
“Yeah, because you were acting a fucking fool in my office.”
“Kaseem, I caught you kissing your brother’s fiancée. What did you expect me to do? What if you caught me kissing another man?”
“I think maybe we should leave shit how it is at the moment.”
“Meaning?”
“We go our separate ways, and if we want to pick shit up down the line, then that’ll happen. But for now, I need to focus.”
I stood up, coming around to his side because I didn’t like what I was hearing.
“Kaseem, when have you not been able to focus while with me? Don’t I make you better?”
He was silent, leaning back in his chair sexily.
Knowing I was gonna have to do more than pleading my case, I dropped down to my knees and unbuckled his slacks. He was still quiet as I began to massage it, getting it hard enough to take into my mouth. I started sucking his dick with all of my might, letting my saliva overflow as I d
id. He stayed quiet the whole time until we got toward the end, where he grabbed my hair roughly before exploding into my mouth. I took it down with ease, and then looked up at him with a half-smile.
“So—”
BRNNGGG!
His phone rang, cutting me off, and I was baffled when he answered it, putting his dick away. Like I wasn’t even there, he began talking before shooing me out. I did as I was non-verbally told, feeling worse than when I initially came in.
I speed walked down the hall, head down because I was still in a bit of shock.
“Oh, sorry!” I exclaimed when I bumped into someone. When I saw it was Kasslyn, I wished I hadn’t said anything.
“It’s fine.” She floated past me, carrying bags that appeared to have food in them.
“Did you bring Kaseem lunch?” I had to ask. She paused and turned to look at me.
“Why?”
“Because if you work for the company, it’s a bit inappropriate for you to be bringing the boss lunch.”
“I don’t work for the company any longer, Everly. I provided a service that I have now been paid for. You, on the other hand, do work for Mr. Banks, and surely should not be this worried about who brings him lunch.”
I didn’t know who this little bitch thought she was, but she was fucking with the wrong one!
Walking closer to her, I replied, “Bitch, I don’t know what you think this is, but quit the games. You know damn well Kaseem is my man and that I’m fucking him. So yes, I worry about sluts that I catch in his lap bringing him lunch.”
“I don’t think he’s your man anymore.”
“You can believe whatever he is telling you to get between your legs, but honey, trust and believe you’re not the first pretty girl to pull his attention away temporarily,” I lied. I didn’t want her thinking she was special. And hell, she wasn’t! Adding more to my fib, I said, “Kaseem does this all the time. He finds a pretty airhead to fuck on when we’re on the outs, but then as soon as we make up, she’s history. So enjoy him while you can, but don’t invest too much.” I winked and then turned around to switch off to my office so I could brush my teeth.
