Vengeance (Out For Blood Book 2)

“And your brother is ok with this?” I ask disgusted.
“No, he’s been in a pissy mood all day, but there's nothing he can do about it. If he disagrees publicly, he will risk outing his involvement with you.”
“Great. What a fucking mess,” I say, plopping onto my bed. I’ll be damned if I let O’Donnell think he’s going to whore me out for the night.
“He’s worrying for nothing. I doubt O’Donnell even sells you tonight. He’ll want to build you up to his clientele, holding on to you as long as possible to drive up the price. Plus I overheard him in his office when I was cleaning it. He hopes to sell you to this bigwig supernatural, to help pacify the beef he started by taking you.”
“What are you talking about?”
“The humans who know about us, and the supernaturals are on the verge of war right now, because of what O’Donnell did when he killed your mother, and took you and your brother,” she answers.
“They didn’t care twenty-one years ago when it happened, so why do they care now?”
“No one did anything before because it couldn’t be proven. Now it can. Plus it doesn’t hurt you have the Valentine family backing you and your dads. O'Donnell’s only solution is to sell you to get you off his hands, and what better person is there than an influential supernatural.”
“I am so confused right now. Who the fuck is the Valentine family, and what war? I’m not important enough to go to war over. Fuck, I’m just now finding out that I’m a supernatural myself,” I say, picking at my comforter.
“That is where you’re wrong. The summer prince has gone public with your relationship. We all know he’s your soul bound mate, so that makes you a princess. Your dads are also high up on the supernatural food chain, which also makes you important, and the Valentine family is like royalty to the supernaturals on this side of the veil, and one of them is mated to your brother.”
“What? Who?” I ask shocked.
“Oreo. Your brother is really lucky. He’s super hot,” she says, fanning herself in a dramatic manner.
“What the hell? That rat bastard and his secrets. I swear to god when I get my hands on him---,” I stop mid rant at Natalie’s amused face. This was all a little too much. I’m in information overload.
“How old are you?” I ask, changing the subject.
“Sixteen,” she answers proudly.
“Wow, you look way younger than that,” I respond, giving her another glance over.
“Supernaturals don’t age like humans,” she explains. That bit of info I already knew from Cody.
“Let’s see what horrors awaits me in this wardrobe bag shall we,” I say reaching over and pulling the zipper down. As soon as I see what’s inside I see red. “There's no way in hell I’m wearing this,” I shout, starling Natalie.
I don’t even know why O’Donnell even bothered to have these scraps for clothing placed in a bag. The so called outfit is nothing more than a black lace unitard with a v strip in the front all the way to my belly button. The lace is mostly sheer with a few strategic designs to cover my nipples and other private parts. The black skirt is leather, and probably hits right below my asscheeks if I’m lucky. The outfit also comes with a red cape that’s only a little bit longer than the skirt, clueing me in that my theme is Little Red Riding Hood. “Fucking ironic,” I mutter under my breath. Apparently O’Donnell also has a sick sense of humor.
“You don’t have a choice, you have to wear it,” Nat says wrinkling her nose at my outfit. “Look on the bright side. At least you’ll look hot in it,” she adds, and I glare at her. This is my life now. To be some kind of cosplay pinup doll for O’Donnell’s sick friends.
I know she’s right, and I hate it. If I refuse to wear the outfit, I will only be making things worse for me. Loudly blowing out my breath, I resign myself to my fate.
“Well, I might as well get this over with,” I say, grabbing the offending outfit. O’Donnell will want me ready soon, and I did tell Silas I will try not to annoy him. “Can you do me a favor, and get me a box of hair dye in a dark brown color?”
“Sure. Be back in a jiffy,” she answers, skipping out the room.
While she’s gone, I step in the bathroom and take a long hot shower, careful to not get my hair wet. When I’m done I see that Nat was even nice enough to find me some cream to help strip the color from my hair before I dye it. I have no clue where she got any of this from so quickly. Maybe O’Donnell has a beauty salon hidden in this place somewhere. I wouldn't put it past him. He is that fucking vain.
For the rest of the time, I work on dying and fixing my hair. I waited until the last minute before putting the disgusting outfit on. Once done, I stand in front of the full length mirror in my room and cringe. The outfit is worst than I originally thought. It barely covers anything, leaving me more exposed than I was comfortable with. Making an executive decision I leave my hair down to give myself as much coverage as possible. My hair has grown longer, and the newly dyed brown locks fall well past my ass now. It’s also fuller, and took a bit of time to blow dry.
“O’Donnell isn’t going to like that your hair is down,” Natalie says, looking me over with a critical eye. “I can fix it for you if you like.”
“I don’t give two shites what he thinks. I have the outfit on. He should be happy I did even that,” I tell her.
Shaking her head she says, “come on,” before opening the door, and leading me out the room.
We walk down a narrow hall, and my eyes grow wide as I take everything in. Silas wasn’t joking. It will be almost impossible to escape my jail cell. So far I’ve counted ten guards lined up right next to each other, and we’re still walking down the same hall. They're all heavily armed with semi automatic rifles held out in front of them, and 9mils strapped to their sides. They also have on a kevlar vest, and gods know what else under their clothes.
We turn right down another fully guarded hall, and walk up a set of stairs, stopping in front of a set of polished double doors with two guards standing in front. Both guards leer at me, running their eyes up and down my body. One of them lingering a little too long on my exposed cleavage. I couldn’t wear a bra in this get up, and the lace barely covered my breasts. Paying no mind to the men in front of us, Nat opens the double doors without knocking, and I step inside the posh office, leaving her outside with the guards.
The room is huge, and expensively decorated in a medieval theme. The walls are painted a rich cream. The ceiling high with a domed skylight. One side of the room showcases a library of expensive thick leather bound books placed in a beautifully crafted built in bookshelf. A sitting area with rich brown leather couches and a small table is placed in front of the shelves with a comfy fur throw laying over one of the chairs. The windows in the room are all covered with a heavy curtain of gold blocking any outside light from coming in, and the carpet under my feet is plush in a dark brown color.
Across the room sits the devil himself behind a huge mahogany desk, like he’s some kind of king holding court.
“Father,” I say dryly, as I close the distance between us.
He doesn’t acknowledge me when I speak. His head is tilted back, and his eyes are closed. I’m about to speak again when I hear a sucking noise coming from below. Lowering my gaze, I notice a pair of legs sticking out from under his desk, and I almost gag, disgusted when I realise what is going on. How the hell did I miss the fact that O’Donnell is currently getting a blowjob when I first walked in? I didn’t even hear shite until I was right on top of his desk. Not only were my powers nulled, but so is my supernatural senses.
“Do you want me to come back?” I ask, glaring hatefully at the man in front of me.
Cracking one eye open and then the other O’Donnell slowly takes in my outfit with a critical eye.
“I see the outfit fits,” he says dryly. I don’t miss that one of his hands is under his desk probably on top of the head of the poor girl currently sucking him off.
“You call this fitting
?” I inquire, waving my hands up and down my body.
Before he can answer the doors opens, and Silas strolls inside, his sister nowhere in sight.
“You’re right,” O’Donnell says raising his brow. "It would do you some good to lose a couple of pounds. I’m going to have to talk to the chef about changing your diet,” he sneers, drawing my attention off my handsome mage, and onto his smug face.
A ping of hurt and embarrassment hits my chest. O’Donnell has always grouped me in the fat girl category, because I was more than a size four. At 5’9 I weighed 130 lbs, and I’m a safe and healthy size 6. Thanks to O’Donnell I’ve always had body issues, and now Silas is here to bare witness to the source.
“My body isn’t the issue, it’s the outfit,” I grit out through clenched teeth. Of course I’m ignored, as he groans loudly, and a girl who appears to be no older than Natalie crawls from up under the desk, and wipes her hand over her mouth.
She’s beautiful with light blonde hair, and dazzling ocean blue eyes. Her skin is very pale, and she’s stick thin, which contrasted to her overly endowed chest. She has to be a double D, just the kind of girl that O’Donnell likes. I want to feed the poor girl a cheeseburger or something with how skinny she is. The short tight blue dress she’s wearing barely covers her body, and her stilettos are so tall, I thought combined with her bust size she will tip over. Clearly she’s defying the laws of gravity right now.
“Hi, I’m Alice,” she says giggling, and holding out her hand.
“No offence but I’m not shaking that,” I tell her, curling my lip in disgust. No way in hell am I letting O’Donnell’s cock germs anywhere near me.
“Ok,” she says frowning, before she lightnes backs up and turns to O’Donnell with a look full of adoration. Where the fuck did he find this delusional barbie doll?
“I guess the outfit will have to do for tonight. Maybe with your performance no one will notice what a porker you are,” O’Donnell states hatefully.
Biting my lip, I turn away from the arsehole before I say something that will get me in trouble. Until what he said hits me. “What performance?” I ask annoyed.
“Gabriel told me about what a good singer you are, so you’ll be performing at my club from now on until I can find someone suitable to take you off my hands,” he answers.
“The hell I am,” I shout outranged. I’ll be damned if I go through being showcased like some dog and pony show, and a performing monkey.
“What did you say, girl?” O’Donnell growls, making Alice tense up beside him.
“I said the - hell - I - am,” I repeat slowly, making sure he heard each and every syllable.
Grinning wickedly, he steps from behind his desk faster than I thought possible for a human, and grabs me by the neck flinging me onto the wall, and holding me there. My anger takes over, and for a brief second, I feel my wolf deep inside me as I growl, and kick out hard with both my feet tossing him clear across the room. His nails scratches across my neck as he goes flying, and I barely feel the pain as I drop to the floor. Rising to my feet I stalk after O’Donnell, intending on killing him right here and now. Fuck the consequences.
A fierce gust of wind slams into my body, and pushes me hard against the wall, holding me there. My head snaps in Silas’s direction confirming he’s the culprit as his arms are held out in front of him as he keeps me pinned against the wall. O’Donnell, having recovered, stalks over to me with his whole face contorted in anger. How quickly he forgets that I am every bit the dangerous monster he raised me to be.
Holding nothing back he punches me, connecting with the side of my face, hard enough that I taste blood from biting my tongue.
“Silas, why don’t you show my daughter what it’s like to have the wind knocked out of ye?” He says menacingly.
What the hell does that mean? Before I can put any more thought into it, I fall to the floor unceremoniously as Silas releases his grip on his power, and then suddenly I gasp in pure agony. Clawing at my throat, I try frantically to draw in breath as Silas pulls the air straight from my lungs. Fuck, I didn’t even know he could do that. This shite is ten times worse than anything O’Donnell has ever done to me. The betrayal even more painful. Lightheaded, I’m not able to hold on any longer and I start to feel the signs that I’m about to pass out when O’Donnell suddenly yells, “enough,” and Silas releases his hold on me. Immediately I gasp, inhaling all the precious air I can gather.
Pulling something from his pocket O’Donnell bends over and kneels in front of me, and snaps the heavy band around my neck.
“This is a shock collar. Any time tonight when ye feein defiant, I will not hesitate to use it and shock ye to high hell, and if that’s not enough for you, Silas here will make what ye just went through seem like a walk-in the park compared to what else he can unleash. Do ye understand?”
I nod at the devil hatefully, wishing I could reach out and choke him. Let him see how it feels to not be able to breathe.
“Go get the healer,” O’Donnell snaps at Silas as he walks back to his seat, grabbing Alice by the waist, and forcing her onto his lap.
When the healer, a dark haired guy with honey brown eyes comes in, O’Donnell hands him the key he keeps around his neck so that he can unlock the nullifying band from around my arm, and he heals me enough to function tonight. When it’s done the healer gives O’Donnell back the key, after putting that awful band back on my arm, and O’Donnell orders Silas to take me back to my room. We barely make it out the door before O’Donnell bends Alice over his desk intent on fucking her if we’re still in the office or not. Apparently the sick bastard got all hot and bothered off my pain.
Silas doesn’t say anything to me the whole way back to my room, intent on dragging me back in silence. Once we step through the door he’s on me in seconds showering me with light kisses all over my face.
“You stupid, stupid girl. What the fuck were you thinking?” He asks when he pulls back. Normally I would be pissed by anyone calling me stupid, but the anguish in his voice keeps me from going off the handle on him.
“I’m sorry, love. I’m so fucking sorry,” he apologises over and over, sounding so tortured.
“You didn’t have any other choice,” I whisper into the crook of his neck. I understood his decision. As much as I hate it, he has a part to play. We both do.
“What happened to you not aggravating O’Donnell?” He chastises, once he pulls himself together.
“I tried, and failed,” I answer shrugging.
“And look where that got you. Now he has you collared like a dog,” he growls. "That collar is controlled remotely. He can hurt you anytime he wants now. You don’t even have to do anything wrong. He can activate it just to get his jollies off.”
“We’ll figure it out,” I say, trying to comfort him. I don’t want him to know I feel bad about making things worse. If only I would have swallowed my pride and not reacted, but then I wouldn’t have the small glimmer of hope when I felt my wolf reacting to my anger. She is still here with me, and that gives me more hope than I had when I first woke up.
“Come on. O’Donnell will be done fucking Alice by now, and we’ll be leaving soon. I’m sure he’ll want you in the same car as him, so he can keep a close eye on you.”
Silas doesn’t say anything else as he leads me out of the building, and into O'Donnell's waiting town car. The devil himself is already sequestered inside with a happy Alice practically on his lap. That was fast. I guess O’Donnell doesn’t have lasting power. Ignoring them both, I choose a seat as far away from them as possible. Silas sits next to me across from O’Donnell, and just like me, he ignores the annoying couple, with his mask of indifference firmly in place. Seconds later the car door opens and Maddie slips inside and takes the other empty seat beside me. I’m both surprised and happy to see him.
“Where’s the suit I sent to your room, boi?” O’Donnell questions, curling his lip in disgust. I personally thought Maddie looked hot, with his dark ripped jeans, heavy
combat boots, and black T-shirt that fits snug on his lean frame. An all black baseball cap that he wears backwards finishes off the look, and his dark guy liner makes him look sexy and menacing all at the same time.
“I burned it,” Maddies answers, making me crack a smile.
Glaring at Maddie, O’Donnell reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small black device. Not a second later I’m screaming in pure agony, realizing the arsehole has activated the shock collar.
“What the hell?” Maddie shouts, trying to pull the collar from my neck to only succeed in getting himself shocked.
“I’m tired of your insolence, boi. I will no longer take anymore of your defiance. If you continue to act out, then she will pay the price. Do I make myself clear?” O’Donnell growls.
“Yeah, man. All clear,” Maddie croaks, and O’Donnell releases the button to the shock device. I sag bonelessly in Maddie’s arms, almost blacking out from the pain, listening to the rhythm of his heart beat as it lulls me in a false sense of security.
After that, the ride to the club is sullen and quiet. Neither Maddie or Silas having anything to say after O’Donnell’s demonstration of power he held over us. I rest my head on the cool window as I rack my brain and try to figure a way out of this nightmare.

Wicked Fairytale
Remy
As soon as we pull up to the club, Maddie is practically pulling my arm out the socket so he can distance us from O’Donnell. Too bad his mission is put to a halt when O’Donnell yells out, “where do you think you’re going, boi?”
Slowly turning, Maddie faces the devil.
“I’m going to take Remy on a tour of this place, if you plan on making her work here,” Maddie answers.
“She doesn't need a damn tour. She only needs to know her place and where the stage is. Leave her, and go do your rounds,” O’Donnell orders, leaving Maddie with no other choice but to do what he says.
