Next, we switch and I submit to him again. I get on all fours and bend over, sticking my ass far up into the air for him to take. He gives it a few smacks before grabbing it, but once he does, he plows it into my wet pussy, fucking me from behind faster and more aggressively than he has with our previous positions.

Every so often, I feel like I can feel his fingers lightly grazing my asshole while he drills into me from behind. I’m not sure, but I feel something. And I like it.

By the end of the night, he has come for me twice, and I’ve come for him so many times that I lost count. Each orgasm is more powerful and subduing than the one immediately preceding it. We just don’t want it to end.

We fall asleep together in the dark. He is facing away from me when he finally passes out, so I’m not able to take advantage of my sleeping arrangements and snuggle up into him like I want. I consider wrapping my arms around him from behind, but I don’t want to cross some sort of boundary.

The more that we have sex together, the less I feel we even have boundaries. After all, everything this man is telling me and doing to me only serves as evidence to suggest we have no boundaries at all. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen, so I choose to just sleep facing toward him, staring deep into his back, hoping that maybe he will turn over in his sleep before I pass out.

  Aiden

I sleep through my phone’s alarm, and neither of us has set an alarm by clock or any other device. Kate had properly exhausted me the night before and nothing else mattered to me while we share her bed together.

I check the time on my phone, three minutes until nine. Shit.

I woke up really late. I know that I should leap from bed and rush to get dressed, but I don’t care. Still, nothing else matters because the most beautiful woman in New York is sleeping right next to me.

I realize that I fell asleep at Kate’s apartment. Sleeping over at anyone else’s home is already abnormal for me, so doing it with a woman that I’m sleeping with makes it even more extraordinary. Usually, I either get a hotel room for my sexual trysts or take the woman back to my place. None of my general tactics matter anymore, though, because I finally have an extraordinary girl in my life.

Extraordinary or not, I also realize that I’m not going to be able to lay in bed forever. I’m already missing my first meeting of the day, which is set to take place in two minutes, when I’m still in bed. I know I’m also likely going to miss my second meeting because that is set for 9:30, and I know I can’t get to the office in early morning New York traffic before then. So, I fucked up there, too.

I have ten missed calls from Adam. I have several missed calls from many people. I’m still in “tired brain” mode, having only been awake for a few minutes. I still keep my process slow, not wanting to leave this bed.

My tired, foggy brain finally snaps back to reality and gets me moving when I get a text from Adam that reads:

  “Dude, turn on Channel 8.”

I don’t want to just use Kate’s stuff without her permission, so I turn to the phone. I go to Channel 8’s social media presence, and my heart sinks when I see one of the headlines.

“MARX BEDS ANOTHER PR HEAD; SEE SCANDALOUS FOOTAGE”

I lightly shake Kate, waking her up quickly. She rubs the sleep from her eyes, ensuring the blankets still cover her body, despite me seeing all of it up close and personal just hours before.

  “What’s up?” she asks sleepily.

“Turn on your TV and put it on Channel 8,” I say. “We’re in trouble.”

She sits up perplexed, turning it to Channel 8. They aren’t doing a story on us right at the moment, but I know that one is right around the corner.

“Aiden, what’s going on?” she asks fearfully, wondering what it is we’re waiting for.

I want to answer her, but I can’t find the words. I’m petrified.

Before she can pull up the answers on her phone, we sees it right there on TV.

There we are, Kate and me, the two of us having sex in my office the week before. It’s office security footage, with multiple angles of the building showing Kate and I while we had our way with each other. There are people talking over the footage, but neither of us hear anybody’s words. We are too busy processing it all to catch anything else.

The security footage angles are not ideal for their purposes, but they show quite enough. So much is shown in it that they have to blur out some of the images. Even with about two full minutes of footage, which felt like ten minutes, they manage to replay it all at least three times during one news cycle.

  “Oh my God,” Kate utters.

We freak out immediately, unable to form logical thought.

“How?” Kate asks. “How? That is our office’s security footage!”

  “No kidding.”

“Oh my God,” she says. “How? How is this footage even released? I thought you said—you said there weren’t any cameras pointed at your office!”

“Check out the footage. None of the cameras are pointed directly at—”

“If I had known there were cameras even that close, I wouldn’t have gone through with it. Oh my God. Holy fuck. We’re so screwed.”

“How was this released?” I now ask. “Who could’ve done this?”

People on Channel 8 continue discussing the scandalous tape and what a horny animal I am. They too are debating who they think put the tape out there and why. Most of their words keep going in one ear and out the other. Kate and I are still too transfixed on the footage itself, horrified to know that the entire world could see it. Our sex life is no longer a secret and it is now at the forefront of the news cycle.

Channel 8 suspects that I put out the security tape myself. Their logic behind that theory is that I’m trying to show the world that I don’t discriminate who I have sex with. I fuck often and fuck many, and Sarah is obviously lying.

“That’s not true,” I say to myself.

Continuing to discuss the tape, another Channel 8 correspondent suspects that someone in the media discovered that the footage exists and wanted to release it to stir the pot of controversy that’s been boiling at Tech Wreck for many days now. Somehow, I know that isn’t the case, either.

We check a different news outlet, and while it isn’t the top story, we soon see the dreaded footage come back and the words of judgment from the anchors and journalists (and even the people writing on social media) flooding our ears. They talk about how Sarah is probably one of many employees that took my sexual harassment and I likely always conduct business this way.

“You’re clearly not forcing me or coercing,” Kate says aloud. “They keep playing the goddamn footage on repeat. Can’t they tell I’m enjoying myself?”

I agree with everyone’s assessment that I’m a horny animal that likes to have sex often, but I hate the implications and straight accusations that the media is stapling onto the footage without even reaching out to Kate or myself. I’m not sure if anyone has reached out to my office for a comment, but I’m pretty sure they haven’t. They love being able to repeatedly say they “reached out for a comment” and received none.

We change the channel to another news show, and I’m slightly relieved to see one media personality get it right.

“It’s pretty obvious what’s happening here,” the guy says. “It doesn’t take a genius to know that the stories that have come out lately about Sarah’s behavior with other men have originated from Aiden Marx’s camp. This is a duel going on right now between Tech Wreck and one of their former employees. They released stuff on Sarah Blackburn, so Sarah Blackburn is releasing stuff on them.”

I’m already starting to suspect Sarah, and now that I hear the same suspicion on national TV, I don’t feel as paranoid anymore. I know just how much of a liar she is, and I look at all of this the same way as that guy on TV does: a duel, a battle to win, no matter how much it costs everyone on both sides.

“I might be going out on a limb here,” says Kate. “
Do you think it’s possible that anyone still working for you at Tech Wreck—in that office—could’ve leaked this? Are there any disgruntled employees, or other staffers wanting to get revenge?”

“I don’t know.” I shrug. “Maybe. I don’t think so, though. This has Sarah written all over it.”

“She doesn’t work for the company anymore,” says Kate. “How would she have had access to the footage? Oh my God, this is terrible.”

“Yeah, it is,” I agree. “We can’t exactly pretend the video isn’t real. I mean, we could, but I don’t think anyone would buy it.”

“I can’t believe she could pull this off,” Kate says. “I mean, she worked at your office for a while. Maybe she made some friends who were willing to help her out. She had to have help getting the tape, if she’s even the one responsible.”

“It is definitely her,” I say with assurance. “I know it’s her.”

“This is a fucking disaster,” Kate says, freaking out even more. She leaps from her bed and begins getting dressed frantically while I continue to stare in disbelief at the TV. I can’t move.

I check my phone and see another text from Adam saying, “Get your ass over here now bro. I moved all your morning meetings but you gotta get here right away.”

“This is going to destroy my career,” Kate says while she puts her outfit on. “This has undoubtedly ruined our case. I’m probably going to get fired from my agency.”

“You’re not going to get fired, and your career is far from over,” I say.

“How can you know that?” she asks in desperation. “Aiden, many have gotten fired for much less. Their careers never recover, and their reputations become stained for life. If I don’t get fired from the agency, I’ll probably have to go somewhere else anyway. Or maybe I should start applying for jobs at the Times Square Mall.”

“Kate,” I say, reaching out and grabbing onto her hand. “I’ll make sure your job is protected and that you have security. I’m not going anywhere. There is no Tech Wreck without me, and Tech Wreck is only getting bigger. As long as I’m here, you’ll have job security, I promise.”

“You can’t put everything all on the line for me,” says Kate. “Honestly, it almost doesn’t matter what you’re doing in the video. You can play it off easily, but me? This makes me look like a whore that sleeps around to get ahead or something.”

  “That’s not the case.”

“I’m fully aware of that, Aiden, but you and I both know it doesn’t matter what the truth is,” she snaps. “Look at the tape and tell me we aren’t in deep shit.”

“We’re definitely in deep shit, but nothing we can’t overcome,” I say as reassuringly as I can. “We just have to figure out what we’re going to do.”

“Why are you not freaking out?” Kate asks.

“I’m absolutely freaking out,” I say shamelessly. “I’ve just gotten good at not showing it.”

“You’ll have to teach me how to do that,” she says. “But Aiden, if it gets to the point where you have to, like, lie for me or something—”

“I will protect you, regardless of the cost,” I say. “And there’s nothing you can do about it. We’re in this together, Kate. Don’t lose sight of the partner you have.”

She takes my other hand, hugging it against her face adoringly.

“I’m just so upset,” says Kate. “We finally got out of the storm, and now we’re right back in the middle of another one. We need to catch a fucking break already.”

“Amen.” I chuckle. “Bu, you just said it. We got out of the storm. Didn’t it seem impossible to make me look like a decent person after everything Sarah did and said? Well, this is no different. We’re going to figure out how to get through this, we’ll find out who released the tape, and we’ll decide what to do next. We’ll find ourselves an opportunity somewhere in this mess, and we’ll do the best that we can.”

I leave Kate’s apartment alone, wearing a hat and sunglasses to try and conceal my identity from people passing by. I don’t see any people or cameras around the building, and so I think I’m going to be okay.

I’m wrong. As I approach the front entrance to her apartment complex, I can hear mumbling and loud chatter on the other side, with sounds of cameras going off randomly. There is a crowd waiting for me, anxious to ambush and prepared to add fuel to the developing fire in my life.

I’ve handled cameras and reporters before, so I’m not worried, but I do wonder if I should try exiting her apartment complex from another way. I asked Kate before I left which exit I should take to leave, and she said it didn’t matter. There are many exits, but I suspect that there will be cameras and people waiting at every point. I just decide to grin and take it.

I step out of the complex and am hounded by tons of paparazzi, flashing their cameras and shouting out their questions. It’s all inaudible yelling and nonsense to me, so I just push through the crowd, weakly waving and smiling as I head to my limo.

I know that this is going to hurt. The paparazzi is catching the walk of shame, seeing my disheveled hair and unkempt clothes, and surely reporting it to whatever source is paying them. It’s even worse that I’m not leaving my home, but Kate’s. They are lucky that I’ve just had some of the best sex of my life the night before. Otherwise, I might have gotten confrontational with someone.

It’s much worse outside my house. The paparazzi is practically an army outside my property, waiting to get any shot of me. The windows are tinted on my limo, but that doesn’t stop them from taking pictures of the car as we pull into my estate and close the gate behind us. I’m grateful that I don’t have to walk through that chaos.

I get in the house and go straight into the shower. I considered just changing and getting to the office right away, but I want to wash away whatever stress I can and try to feel a sense of clarity while cleansing.

As I stand there in the shower, letting the hot water hit my back while I lean against the wall, I contemplate everything. All that has happened, all that is waiting for me outside my house, and all the options at my disposal. I have to figure out the best way to handle all of this, playing calm and collected when I’m really in emotional turmoil will only last for so long.

In weighing my options, many come to mind, but most of them don’t satisfy me, and the ones that do are all crazy and probably won’t work.

Then, I get an idea. It’s simple, yet I can’t shake it. We will just fake being together.

After I get settled in my office at Tech Wreck, I call Kate and tell her to meet me here. She says she won’t have long since she has an angry boss waiting for her at the ad agency she works for. I consider calling her boss, but I know that will only worsen things for her.

I really don’t think the idea I’m toying with is a bad one. If we just fake being boyfriend and girlfriend for a while, it will make it seem like we are just fooling around as two people that really care about each other. It seems like somewhat of a stretch, but how will anyone know we are lying? If Kate goes along with it for a little while, then the scandalous footage will just morph into an embarrassing sex tape between a fledgling couple.

I’m still not looking forward to proposing the idea to Kate. I know it won’t be something she can’t handle, but it certainly is unorthodox and will probably dictate how she lives her life for a few weeks. I think I’ll be ready by the time she gets to my office, but I’m not.

When she arrives, I wait for her by my office doorway so that I can usher her in immediately and close up. My blinds are already drawn, and I’m doing my damndest to avoid all the eyes of my curious employees as they stare at me.

She gets in my office. I take her coat, close the door, and lock it.

“How much paparazzi did you run into out there?” I ask her.

“In front of this building or my apartment building?”

  “Both.”

“Well, I think I’m going to have to move,” she huffs. “There were so many people blocking my way out of the garage that I a
lmost ran some people over.”

“Yeah, it was nuts when I left, too,” I say.

“I could barely make it into the building here,” she continues. “When I got here, I had to fight my way through at least forty people—no joke—taking pictures and shoving microphones in my face. They were asking so many questions that I honestly couldn’t tell you what they were asking. It is all just about what my relationship is with you.”

I realize that I have an opening right there, and I can take it.

“I don’t think I can afford to leave here unless I know we have a plan,” says Kate. “That hungry press needs to be given something soon, or they’ll gnaw our legs off. We can’t keep getting hounded by hordes of people everywhere we go and where we live.”

“I agree.” I nod. “We’ll hold a press conference tomorrow. We’re not giving this thing more than twenty-four hours to fester. Tomorrow morning, we’ll fix this mess.”

“Do you have anything in mind of what we should say?” she asks.

“I’ve got some ideas,” I cryptically reply.

  Kate

When I get to the ad agency, I’m informed that Todd, my boss, isn’t currently in. So, in a mad rush, I do what I have to do there, finish my tasks, and make my way out—where I will then stay at Tech Wreck until Aiden and I have made a decision on how to handle our press conference tomorrow. I feel safer near Aiden anyway.

I’m out of my office and nearing my escape, and then he appears. Todd is there from out of nowhere. He tends to do that when you want to avoid him.
