“Don’t you love me, Fay?”
“Yes! I … I love you, Viper. That’s why I did all that.”
“Don’t ever think that I would hate or love you less, for anything.”
“But you said that you hated me … That you could never forgive me.”
“Fay, that was a lie. I was bitter and disappointed that you had left me, and I have tried to convince myself that I did hate you … but I could do nothing else but love you. I never stopped loving you. I hated MYSELF. I hated myself because I could not stop loving you.”
“What … what are we going to do now?” she asked, her voice shaking.
I took her face with both hands.
“You come back to me, Fay. We can live in my house here in L.A. or we can buy one in New York. We get married. We are going to be a family. And we will give our kids all the love we never got.”
“Marry?”
“Yes, Fay. Marry me! Do you want to?”
I waited for her answer, holding my breath. My heart was beating hard against my chest.
Fay
I could not believe my ears. Did he just ask me if I wanted to marry him? I stared at him.
“Marry?” I asked with a thin voice.
“Yes, Fay. Marry me! Do you want to?”
My heart was beating like crazy. This must be a dream. I never had any luck in my life. Why should it be different now? Viper was the best man a woman could ask for. Viper was the man that I loved.
“Fay?”
“I … You really want to marry me?” I asked again.
“Yes. Yes, that’s what I want. I love you! Say yes. Become my wife, Fay!”
“Yes” I finally whispered.
Vipers mouth pressed hard against mine. I wrapped my arms around him and sobbed softly as his tongue took possession of my mouth. He kissed me hard, but I did not mind. I had missed him so much. At some point his kiss became softer. My heart was overflowing with love. I could not believe how perfect my life all of a sudden was. Viper loved me despite my past, wanted to marry me and we were having a baby. At some point I would have to tell him that I had been pregnant before, with Martin’s child … and that I had lost it. But not now. I did not want to destroy this wonderful moment by bringing up such a bad topic. He released himself from me and looked straight into the eyes.
“Let me call your friend and tell her that you are coming back with me. Then we will pack your stuff. I want to make love to you. I am dying of desire for you … but I want you in my bed. In our bed!”

Fay
Five years later
Viper hit the last nail and looked up with a smile.
“Done!” he announced proudly. “How do you like it?”
“Pink?” I asked and raised an eyebrow. “What, if it is a boy?” He patted my slightly round belly, in which our fourth child was growing. We had three sons. Trevor, our oldest and the twins Ian and James, who were now two years old.
“I just know it.” Viper said stubbornly. “This time it is a little Celine.”
I smiled. We had agreed that if we should have a girl, we would name her after his sister.
“Well … so be it.” I said. I had had an ultrasound today and knew with a high probability, that it would really be a girl this time.
“You still have not said how you like the crib.” he said offended.
“It is wonderful.” I said honestly.
I got on my knees and moved between Viper’s thighs. He put his arms around me and buried his face in my hair.
“Thank you.” he whispered.
“What for? For praising the bed?” I asked amused.
“No! For making me the happiest man on the planet. For the love that you give me and our wonderful children.”
“I thank you as well.” I said into his shoulder. “Because you are the best man I could ever imagine. I love you, Vincent Viper Mahony.”
“Then show your appreciation.” he whispered into my ear.
“How should I do that my darling?”
“Don’t you have any ideas, sweetheart?”
He took my hand and put it onto his hard-as-steel erection.
“I think I can improvise a bit.” I whispered back and rubbed over his cock. He moaned softly.
“I was hoping you would.” he said softly.
