Chapter Fifteen
Krista
I wake up to Declan lightly stroking my arm.
I smile when I open my eyes.
“Hey baby, you’re awake. Do you need anything?” he asks.
“Just water. Where’s Blake?” I ask, a little disappointed that he wasn’t here when I woke up, but I know he was sleeping with us through the night.
“He went to get you some pain killers and water,” he says.
“I sure hope that he brings coffee too.”
I hear a chuckle from the doorway, and I bring my eyes towards it.
Blake is looking at me with amusement. “Babe, I don’t know how you could call that stuff you drink coffee but, yeah, I brought you some.”
“Thank you,” I say with a shy smile.
I wince as I try to sit up, and the men look like they are barely holding their anger in.
“I’m okay,” I say softly, but I know that they don’t believe me.
“Derek wants all the women downstairs to tell their story when the rest of the clubs get here. He said it would be better if you all only have to tell it once and not relive it over and over again,” he tells me.
I nod my head since that makes sense.
“How’s Camilla? Do you know?” I ask hesitantly.
His eyes soften. “She’s sleeping. They had to give her something to help her sleep, but Torch is with her. He could barely let her hand go before she was crying from a nightmare. Fucking terrible what she had to go through,” he says softly.
“That woman is so strong. They tried to break her but couldn’t. We need to go see her later,” I say. They nod their heads like they were expecting me to say that.
“Let’s drink this coffee and then we can head downstairs,” Declan says.
The room is packed. I’m glad that they have a big clubhouse since there are so many people here. They said it was going to be a big meeting, but this is bigger than I could even imagine.
I give Ella, Danielle, and Katy a big hug when I see them.
It’s only moments later that Starla is walking in with her father, and I give her a hug too.
We all sit on one side of the room. Blake and Declan are on either side of me. Damien is next to us holding Ella in his lap.
I tell them everything that happened from the moment I left the coffee shop, and everyone goes down the line telling their story.
Ella’s story is about the same as mine. Cutter had enough time to trick her like he did with me before they realized that I was missing.
I look at the men in the room and see a man from the Twisted Eagles MC. When I see him staring hard at Danielle, I begin to wonder if she’s his daughter.
I spend lots of time looking back and forth between them and I don’t know for sure if I’m starting to notice a resemblance or if my mind’s just making it up in my head.
This is a very emotional meeting. Once all our stories are out there, the women leave the room so that the men can discuss the next course of action because none of us need to know that. We just need to be kept safe.
We head outside of church and see that Lily has made us a big meal. She smiles when she sees us. “Olivia, Sophie, and Sasha are taking care of the little ones right now. I know that you guys need to be fed and I’m sure you ladies want to check on your girl.”
“Yeah, I heard she’s resting, but I would like to see with my own eyes that she’s okay,” I say softly.
“I owe that woman big time. What she did for dad…” Ella says trailing off.
Lily’s eyes fill up with tears. “Yeah, that woman risked her life to save my man and I’m forever grateful.”
“She’s definitely been through hell,” Danielle murmurs.
Lily’s eyes soften. “You all have been through your own hell. We will make sure that she gets the help she needs. You all focus on healing yourselves. Let’s get you fed. They should be in there for awhile. Once the meeting is over, we can take you to her. I’d do it myself, but there is no way that you ladies are going to leave a brother’s sight for a long time,” he says gesturing to the door. I look and see Shield standing there watching us. He’s trying to give us as much privacy as possible, but it’s still kind of creepy how he is just staring.
Everyone eats in silence and we wait while the men finish up their meeting.
It isn’t over yet.
Not until Cutter is caught.
Chapter Sixteen
Bullet
Sitting down and listening to the women describe everything that they had been through with this sick fuck has rage building inside of me.
I could see anger from every single man in church when they all heard what this Charles guy did to our girls.
Once we hear their stories, the women are sent outside. They don’t need to know anything else.
“That fucker thinks he can mess with us!” one of the other presidents says angrily.
“Don’t worry. We have him in the basement along with two of his men. We can all have our fun once this is over,” Derek says.
A bunch of evil smiles take over each and every one of the presidents’ faces.
I’d love to get in on that action, but this is somehow personal, resulting from something that happened in their past.
“Who is this Danielle that spoke up? She looks familiar,” the president of Twisted Eagles asks.
Derek looks at his old friend. “She is a friend of one of our Old Ladies. She lives across the street with their other friend. She and Katy thought that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but the women seem to think that she might be connected to someone in one of the clubs because he called her a club princess too.”
The guys face pales. “Y-you mean?” he asks hesitantly.
Derek nods his head slowly. “We think so.”
“What’s her mothers name?” he asks.
“Go get Danielle. We have a question to ask her,” Derek asks Trigger who nods his head.
Danielle comes in seconds later, visibly shaking.
“You wanted to ask me something?” she says softly.
Derek nods his head giving her a small smile. “Yeah sweetheart. What’s your mother’s name?”
“I-It’s Robyn West,” she says, looking at the Twisted Eagles president who turns even more pale than he was before.
“Fuck,” he curses.
“I’m guessing that makes you my father, right?” she asks.
He nods slowly, his eyes closing. “Yeah, why didn’t she tell me?” he looks at her like she might have all the answers.
Danielle shakes her head. “I’m not sure. She just told me that she needed to keep me safe.”
He gets a look of anger on his face. “Why would you need to be safe from me? I’m your father, I would have kept you safe.”
“I-I don’t know, you would have to ask her,” she says softly.
“Call her. I want her here now,” he growls out.
She nods her head and grabs her phone.
“Hey mom… No, I’m fine…I need you to come and visit me…because I have something I need to tell you… why can’t I come there?... Oh well I can’t afford a plane ticket and I want to show you my new home…. Okay I will see you in a couple days… Bye… I love you too.”
When she hangs up, she looks at her father who nods his head.
“We will talk later. Go back out with your girls.”
She nods her head and tears well in her eyes before she turns around.
Wow, that’s one mess that I don’t want to be in.
We talk about making a plan on how to catch our traitor. Since he wasn’t at the warehouse, we need all eyes on him.
His picture is shown to every single person so that they know who to look for. After a couple days, everyone is going to go back home and act like we don’t think that there is a threat anymore.
It’s just a trick to get them to try and come at us again.
No one can completely rest until these guys are all caught.
>
It was a stupid move on their part going after club royalty, and now they are going to pay.
We aren’t going to stop until we catch every last fucker who was involved in the kidnappings.
Pyro
We take Krista to the hospital after the meeting is over.
She has been anxious to see Camilla. When Krista told us that she had made a promise to herself that she would protect Camilla no matter what, I knew that Camilla was already going to be protected by the entire club and our allies.
She saved the president of our club, so everyone will forever be grateful to her.
The other women are going to wait their turn since we didn’t want to overwhelm her with too many people.
I walk behind Krista into the room. Camilla smiles when she sees Krista.
“You crazy, brave woman,” Krista says with her eyes welling with tears. She carefully hugs Camilla .
“I did what I needed to do, and I would do it again,” she says softly.
Torch stands up from his seat looking completely exhausted. “I’m just going to get some fresh air. Visit your friends,” he says to Camilla, looking completely broken.
I sit down while Krista starts getting lost in conversation.
“What’s going on with Torch?” she asks softly.
Camilla gives her a sad smile.
“It’s really nothing. When I was shot, I passed out as soon as I heard Derek saying that he would be taking me to the hospital. I kept waking up in the car with Derek and Torch. They were trying to stop the bleeding, but I wasn’t that hopeful that I was going to make it,” she says with a soft cry.
“You’re so strong, I never doubted that you would make it,” Krista says reassuring her.
“That night in that room, I wasn’t sure if I would live or even if I wanted to. I’d been in that hell for months and I didn’t see a way out. You women came in with so much hope and loyalty towards your clubs, I knew that I had to save him; even if it meant taking my own my life. I tried to get Torch to leave but, when he walked away while I was sleeping, the nightmares came back. I can tell that it’s painful for whatever reason for him to stay, but he had said that he couldn’t stand hearing me scream when he made it to the door,” she says with tears falling from her eyes.
Krista moves to lay beside her and puts an arm around her waist. “You’re safe here. You have me and every woman in that room to talk to. You also have the Vicious Snakes at your back. You saved their president; do you know how much that means to them?” Krista asks softly.
Krista
Camilla shakes her head softly at me. “It has been so long since anyone has had my back. I don’t remember what it feels like,” she sniffles.
“Well, you have us and you will get used to it. I’ll make sure that you get a phone with my and the girls’ numbers in it so that you can call or text us if you need anything at all. Even if it’s just to vent and cry,” I tell her, and she releases another sob.
I don’t get to talk to her about much more since she falls asleep crying.
I lay there until Torch comes back in the room.
“I’ve got it. You can go now,” he says lowly, not looking at me.
“It’s okay to be there if she needs you,” I tell him softly.
I watch as his jaw tightens.
“I’m only helping because she saved my dad’s life. Nothing more,” he says in a calm voice and, when I look into his eyes, I see a storm brewing in there.
I nod my head. “I’m here if you need me too,” I say as I slip out of the room with my men at my side.
I go home and get some much needed rest.
It’s going to take awhile before I’m feeling normal, and I know not to push myself.
My men seem content to take care of me for the next couple days. I think me being taken had shaken them more than they let on.
Hopefully this can all be over soon.
Chapter Seventeen
Bullet
I wake up startled. My eyes automatically take in the room.
It has been days since we have got Krista back by our side. There still isn’t any word on Cutter yet, or any other Devil’s Souls for that matter. They know how to fucking hide from us and, being that the Vicious Snakes were betrayed by their own, clearly had the intel to know where exactly to hide from us too.
Pyro is on the other side of Krista at his room in the club. The whole club was put on lockdown. The remaining clubs that were here went home and were told to act normal, but it would be suspicious if we didn’t put the Wicked Dragons and Vicious Snakes clubhouse on lockdown considering everything that had happened.
Krista has spent most of her time sleeping. She said that she didn’t sleep much when she was kidnapped because she was trying to find a way out and had to stay alert. I think she felt that it was her responsibility to watch over all those women.
It’s no wonder that once she got home all she wanted to do was sleep and make sure that everyone was okay.
I knew that Ella was shaken up pretty badly, and that Danielle and Katy were staying in a room on the other side of the club with brothers watching over them.
Krista is getting pretty restless; that must have been what had woken me.
I settle beside her again and she mumbles in her sleep, “Don’t! Let her go!”
Her arms start moving in the air as if she’s trying to reach someone.
“Shhh… baby, you’re okay. It’s Blake…Krista….” I murmur softly to her.
“They’re hurting her!” she says louder, startling Pyro out of his sleep.
He tries to soothe her too.
She starts whimpering before her eyes open slowly, tears already filling them.
“Krista, baby, you’re okay,” I say softly.
“They kept taking her and there was nothing I could do,” she lets out with a sob.
We hold her close in between us as she cries.
I don’t have to guess to know that she’s talking about Camilla. She was the one they called their “toy.” There are so many things that she went through; I don’t know how she will learn to cope.
We soothe Krista until she falls back asleep. I lay there unable to fall back asleep.
I guess Pyro doesn’t fall back asleep either because it’s not long before he speaks. “I can’t wait until we find that fucking coward, Cutter, and show him what we do to traitors,” he says angrily.
I grunt out an agreement.
There is no doubt that Cutter is going to pay when we find him.
“I’m going to head out to the main room. I can’t sleep. You okay here with our woman?” I ask.
“Yeah man. You do your thing,” he says.
I put my clothes back on since I was down to my boxers and make my way to the main room.
When I enter, I seen Ella sitting on the couch with the newest baby. She had him a couple months before this started. Luke Damien Evans.
He is a pretty cute baby and, every time I look at him, I picture Krista pregnant with my or Pyro’s child. It wouldn’t matter to me who was the biological father; all I knew was that Krista was it for us and that, when she was ready, she would be having as many babies as she would give us.
I sit on a chair next to the couch as Ella feeds her boy from a bottle.
“Can’t sleep?” she asks
I shake my head. “No. Krista had a nightmare so I couldn’t fall back asleep.”
She nods her head. “Yeah, I have been getting them too. I didn’t for the first couple nights but maybe it’s because whatever Doc and Olivia gave me was strong enough that I didn’t dream. Now that most of the bruises are starting to fade and the pain lessens, I don’t take the pills as much. That’s probably what’s happening to Krista,” she says softly with her voice full of understanding.
I nod my head because I don’t know what else to say. Damien is crazy about Ella and is really possessive of her.
I look over my shoulder to see him come into the room when Ella looks like she
’s ready to fall back asleep. He ushers her to their room, and I get up to make some coffee.
It’s only four in the morning, but once I wake up I find it impossible to fall back asleep.
I decide to have some coffee and see if there’s any way that I can help find Cutter.
I also need to talk to Prez because there’s no way that I’m leaving Krista or Pyro.
I have finally made my decision and plan on talking to my Prez and Derek, my hopefully soon to be Prez.
Wicked Dragons are leaving by noon, so we are having a meeting this morning.
Church starts at nine, so I start searching with Tech who pretty much never sleeps because of insomnia.
Pyro
Krista is alert enough to leave the room today. She said that she feels better and would like to have breakfast with everyone.
When we get to the kitchen, Bullet is sitting there with a coffee, and Lily and Sasha are cooking up breakfast.
Lily and Sasha are both smiling widely and laughing, and Bullet looks uncomfortable, so I have to wonder what they were talking about.
“What’s going on here?” Krista asks with a smile.
“Nothing at all,” Bullet answers quickly, a little too quickly if you ask me.
“We were just asking Bullet here if he and Pyro ever crossed swords in the bedroom,” Sasha says with curiosity in her eyes.
I cough out and look at them with horror.
“What?” I croak out.
Lily puts a hand on her hip as Krista is clearly trying to hold back laughter.
“Well, has one of you ever let a hand slip from Krista and accidentally caressed one another? Because that’s cool if you did, but no need to hide it.”
Krista loses all fight and bends over laughing.
“No, no, I can’t say that has ever happened,” I answer seriously. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just never looked at Bullet that way. Sure, it’s hot seeing him fuck Krista, but watching Krista get lost in pleasure is hot as fuck.
