Falling In Maths Page 26

When I got to my place, Mia was already there. Laying on the couch in a pair of sweats and her hair tied back. Study books scattered across the table in front of her as she wrote, read and then wrote some more.

“Hey you, hungry?” I asked, sitting my bag on the kitchen table.

I heard her walking into the room, when we were alone she wasn’t so nervous anymore. “Yeah I actually brought you some food over, since that’s what girlfriends do for their boyfriends who can’t cook,” she giggled as her arms wrapped around me from behind.

I smiled, “I think I have the best girlfriend ever then,” I said, turned around and grabbing her by the tops of her thighs as I lifted her up so she was wrapped around me.

“You do, because I just so happen to be an excellent cook,” she said, smiling big at me.

I nodded, she was right there. “Well, let’s go for a walk and see what you’ve put in my fridge.”

I carried her into the kitchen, sitting her on the countertop and then headed for the fridge freezer, I opened both doors and burst out laughing hard. She was freaking adorable.

“Mia,” I said, shaking my head in amusement.

She grinned big at me, “You love them, so it’s only right you have some.”

I nodded, “True, but there has to be thirty of those savoury pies in my freezer, you trying to tell me that I eat too many of them?”

“No, I made a heap of them at work yesterday and plus pizza’s and other things so you can have them at work, or eat them at home,” She slid down off the counter and nudged me with her hips as she stood beside me, “You also have heaps of food and won’t starve.”

“What would I do without you, you’re so good to me,” I smiled, pulling her close.

“Starve, or spend a fortune on food,” she said laughing. “Do you have to go play out of town this weekend?”

I nodded, seeing her interested in football was pretty great. She was cute sitting at the footy grounds, all rugged up and quietly watching. “I do, but it’s a five hour drive down the other end of the state, you want to make it a weekend away?” I asked her.

We’d spent nights together but a full weekend was going to be something new, I watched her for a reaction. Her eyes looking around nervously as she thought about it. After what felt like hours, she finally answered me. “Umm, well Dad is working this weekend on nightshift. I will ask him, but he may want to talk to you about it.”

I didn’t have a problem with that. “Ok beautiful. So what are we having to eat? I have pies,” I teased her.

She laughed, tilting her head to the side as she spun and skipped over to the oven, “Oh I have that already organised, it just needs to heat up,” she said and pulled the oven door down.

I looked in, laughing again. “Well sausage rolls and party pies sound awesome baby.”

We sat up at the table, eating and talking about our day. Even though we were in the same area during the day, our days were both so different. I liked hearing how she did in class, she got extremely excited when talking about English and reading, but I knew Maths was her favourite class.

“Noah,” Mia said, dragging out my name as she stood up pulling on my hand. She had that look in her eye and I knew I was in trouble.

I followed to she led me, my room. Nervously she sat on the bed and looked up, “Kiss me?”

I groaned, damn this woman was something else. I wanted to kiss her, hold her and most importantly, love her. She was the one for me, I knew that the moment I laid eyes on her. I was definitely going to marry her someday.

“How could I refuse that,” I grinned, sliding over her body and pushing her down into the bed.

Mia was the type of girl you wanted to go slow with, we made out a lot. Almost had sex once thanks to the alcohol we’d both consumed and I couldn’t have felt more shit about it the next day. I wouldn’t ever put her in a situation like that again, when she walked out and left me I thought I’d lost her for good.

Kissing her the way she deserved to be kissed, with nothing but a loving, deep, passion that she made me feel and I definitely made sure she felt it back.

“I love you so much Mia,” I groaned over her mouth as I rolled us, rolling a little too far and rolling us off the bed.

Both of us laying on the floor and laughing, “God I love you,” Mia just grinned, her laugh dying down as she kept running her fingers through my hair. “Noah Wade, my perfect and hot boyfriend, you make me so happy,” and with that she lifted her head and kissed me again.

  Yeah, she’s definitely a keeper.
