With a fleeting look above her head, she quickly realized why. Her wrists were loosely bound to the headboard, not too tight to hurt her but secure enough to keep her from getting free.

“Did you think I would allow you to continue to control me?” Joshua whispered huskily, the warmth of his breath against her moist sex heightening her arousal. “It is time I turned the tables back on you.” As he spoke, he slowly climbed the length of her body, raining kisses along her belly, the valley between her breasts, before settling his face against her neck.

“N-now that I have tasted power, I don’t think I can go back to being a true submissive.” She spoke the words in a low voice, almost afraid of his response.

“I know,” Joshua replied, his voice just as soft. “And I don’t want you to.” He lifted his head to meet her gaze. “There will be times when I will demand your submission, and there will be other times when you will demand it of me.” He winked then, a grin spreading across his face. “I am content with that. What I am not content with, however, is you returning to The Sanctuary, understood?”

Sonya smiled. She understood perfectly. Their sessions were officially over. She’d already figured that, just as she knew her time as an employee of The Sanctuary was now over as well. Sonya didn’t mind. She was ready to return to running The Red Velvet Rope, and now that she and Joshua had reconciled, she could do just that.

She started to tell him that, but before she could part her lips, he crushed his mouth to hers, stealing the air from her lungs. His kiss was possessive, demanding. And his every movement echoed the urgency of his mouth.

Hooking his arms beneath her legs, he lifted them over his shoulders, spreading her open wide. The moment he settled between her parted thighs, she felt the hot hardness of his cock prodding her wet hole. Before she could take her next breath he surged inside her, stretching her, stuffing her full of his cock.

Every thrust inside her body was urgent as he pounded her flesh, drawing hungry moans from her lips. Wetness pooled inside her core, her entire being vibrating with pleasure. She drenched his thrusting cock with her juices, taking him deeper inside her body as he fucked her harder, faster.

“Joshua,” she cried out on a tortured sigh when he began to swivel his hips in a corkscrew motion, his cock hitting every single sensitive spot inside her pussy.

She could barely breathe, could not even think as she clenched her eyes shut and her thighs tensed around him.

“Fuck, Sonya,” he groaned. “Fuck, baby, I’m about to come.”

His last words were barely out before she stiffened against him, every single inch of her tingling with pleasure as her climax erupted inside her.

She screamed his name, but his hoarse shout drowned her out when she felt his cock swell then pulse inside her. Seconds later he was trembling against her, a long, deep guttural groan forcing its way out of his chest as he came deep inside her, filling her with his hot, wet release.

Shudders rumbled through them, their panting breaths and racing hearts finding a joined rhythm. Eventually, Sonya’s body eased back into its normal rhythm, as did Joshua’s. When it did, he lifted off her just long enough to release her bound wrists before pulling her into his embrace.

“Marry me,” he whispered against her ear with her curled in his arms.

She nearly bumped his jaw with the top of her head when she looked up at him in surprise.

  “What?”

He grinned from ear to ear. “Will you marry me, Sonya?”

  “You’re serious.”

When he nodded, all she could do was stare at him in silence, too stunned to speak.

“It’s my fault that it has taken us so long to get to this place, and now that we’re here, I don’t want to waste another moment. Please say you’ll marry me.”

Unshed tears of happiness stained her eyes as her heart swelled with love for the man who still held her in his arms. She never imagined that night when she’d walked away from Joshua that they would ever heal the rift between them, but their relationship had emerged from the devastation of her heartbreak stronger, deeper, and they were now closer than they’d ever been before.

Cupping his face between her hands, she pulled him close as she smiled up at him. “I love you, Joshua Diaz. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

This was a new beginning for them, and Sonya looked forward to spending the rest of her life loving this man who’d been brave enough to heal her deepest scars, who’d loved her enough to heal her wounded soul.

As she stared at him, every emotion she’d longed to share with him for so many years she finally allowed him to see in her eyes, and she knew he glimpsed the depths of her love when he dipped his head to claim her lips, once again igniting the passion between them.

  Epilogue

Four of the most skillful Doms in the city stood at the front of the church, waiting for the music to cue.

Michelle was up front as well, but on the opposite side of the aisle. She stood near the altar, her attention focused on the man across from her. Her skin still burned from where Aaron had held her arm, tucked within his as he escorted her down the aisle.

She noticed his gaze remained fixed on her, drifting away for a second, sometimes two, but never long. She deftly kept her eyes averted, sneaking furtive glances whenever she could. Sometimes he caught her watching, and the times he didn’t, she was still convinced he knew her eyes were on him.

In turn, every time she felt his stare upon her, she shivered, her body seemingly possessed by a desire so strong it was foreign to her. Even now her nipples strained painfully against the silk bodice of her dress, and with each shifting movement of her body, wetness seeped from her pussy, staining the small thong between her legs.

Her response to him was embarrassing it was so fierce, but any woman with a pulse would understand, and at least sympathize. Aaron was strikingly handsome in his black tux with his close-cropped blond hair, the shadow of rough hair sprinkled across his jaw, and those piercing green eyes that promised all kinds of wicked things.

Erik stood beside him, Seth stood next to Erik, while Joshua waited impatiently for his bride to come down the aisle.

She smiled at Joshua’s fidgeting stance. Since Seth and Katherine had gotten married, Michelle had grown close to Sonya through her friendship with Katherine. She knew all about the long road Sonya and Joshua had traveled to this point, and she was happy for them. That was one of the reasons she found it so amusing that Joshua had been so adamant about the two of them getting married as soon as possible. He’d wanted them to get married within two weeks of proposing. Sonya had practically twisted his arm to get him to wait for two months because she’d wanted their families to be present.

Michelle shook her head when Joshua began to rock back and forth on his heels. The poor man. If the music didn’t cue soon, he was going to lose it.

As if bending to her will, the music began. Everyone looked up and turned to face the back of the church. Sonya appeared within the entryway moments later. Gasps and low murmurs drifted like wildfire through the church. She was a vision. Her dark hair spilled across her shoulders and fanned out over her strapless white gown. Sonya’s eyes sparkled and she smiled, her attention focused on one man—Joshua.

An earthquake could have struck the entire building and shaken it to its foundation and the couple would not have even noticed, they were so mesmerized with one another. And it was obvious to all how deeply in love they were.

Possessing a will of its own, her gaze returned to Aaron, to once again find him watching her. Michelle clutched the bouquet tighter within her grasp. The searching, almost feral look in his eyes was so intense she would have sworn he could unearth the secrets in her soul.

A grim thought struck her, and she tore her gaze away as Sonya passed by her. She wanted what Katherine and Seth, Joshua and Sonya, now shared. A solid lump settled in her throat and she had to swallow hard to force it down. Michelle knew she could want all she wished, but what her friends sh
ared, she could never have.

Aaron was attracted to her, she knew that, but he thought she was sweet and innocent, shy even. Seth, Joshua, even Erik, they all knew the truth, but they kept it from Aaron only because she’d begged them to.

Moving to Vegas three years ago, she’d put the life she’d once led long behind her, or so she’d thought. The urges, the longings, she’d ignored, then she’d denied them, hoping eventually what she felt would just go away. For Aaron’s sake she had hoped they would. They hadn’t. They’d only grown stronger.

She was nothing like Katherine, or even Sonya, though Sonya now at least understood the compulsions that drove Michelle.

Somehow she found the strength to look at him again, and she was met by a probing, jade-green stare. Aaron was convinced he wanted her, but he wouldn’t want her any longer, not if he knew the truth.
