  Chapter 13

  A Price to Pay

The shock of Sapalulmea’s death numbed Talmido’s mind to his current situation. He laid in his cell with tears streaming down his face and knots of anger tying up his brow into a scowl of pure anguish and hate.

His mind reeled from the thought of Sapalulmea being gone forever. Never again would he lay with love’s passion for her or share his innermost feelings of desire and hope for her. Never would they share the making of a family. Never again would he hear her laughter or see her thin-lined smile of appreciation while she twisted locks of her raven hair in her left hand. Never again would he bask in the glory of the sway of her hips and stride of her long legs. The grace of her attention and focus were never to be known again. What was he to do? This went on for a day and a night as the powers that be thought about and discussed his final outcome, eventually deciding upon a course that would prove to be their downfall.

Soon a contingent of guards came to Talmido’s cell and dragged him to his feet, whipping him along toward the commander’s tent. Talmido did nothing to interfere, as he knew the intended destination and desperately wanted to tear General Bel-Taggil limb from limb and satiate his burning need for revenge. He focused on this knot of hate and embraced it with all his heart, pulling it close to his core for the plan he had in mind, a method of revenge, escape, and liberation—a plan to start anew with a foundation of hope and optimism. For now, however, he needed to funnel his mental and emotional energy into the task to come.

He was taken into Bel-Taggil’s tent and forcefully thrown to the ground before the commander, with Hattusili standing next to him off to his right. Talmido took this in with a sixth sense of preparation. He slowly tightened his muscles for the explosion to come, not wanting them to see his plotting. He looked Hattusili in the eye and, with a snarl, lunged for him, knowing it was not the time but wanting Hattusili aware of his intent. Hattusili slipped backward and fell onto his back with a whump and the quiet chuckles of the guards. Hattusili slowly climbed back up and brushed off his garments and his pride.

“Stop the antics, Talmido,” Bel-Taggil commanded. “Even though Hattusili probably deserves your revenge, it is not going to happen today.”

“You will die,” Talmido spat out toward Hattusili, and then he slowly turned to look the commander in his eyes. Talmido knew the commander needed to juggle the common soldier’s perception of justice and military law. Protocol demanded swift action, and death was the rule.

“I have served you for twenty years, and this is how you repay me?” Talmido snarled.

“Repay you? Talmido, I did not even have the chance to discuss with you what it was you wanted,” Bel-Taggil replied.

“Did not Hattusili inform you of my request and intentions?”

“No, it would seem he did not. No matter, as the charges are as follows: desertion, treason, and dereliction of duty. These all impose the death penalty, Talmido. What am I to do?” Bel-Taggil queried. “You will be either fully reinstated as a soldier of the Empire, or you will be paraded around like an animal so that all will witness the results of defying the emperor’s expressed wishes. If you sign a declaration of temporary insanity, full reinstatement is possible. If you do not...I cannot assure how long you will stay alive. You have until the morning to make your decision, Talmido. Take him away.”

Talmido relented. The jeers and smirks of the soldiers chased him as he marched back to his cell. The guards were smiling and laughing to themselves, unaware of his continued stretching of the cords that bound his hands. He pulled one way and then the other with an unabated strength of will and desire. He put all his power into stretching those cords, using the sweat of his own body and the heat of the sun to loosen the fibers and make them slip against his skin.

With one final pull, he wrenched his right hand out of the bonds. After flinging his right arm around the left side of his body and twisting his torso around the arc of his arm, he smashed his fist into the face of the man marching on his left, breaking his nose and shoving the nasal bone up into his brain, killing him. At the same time, he kicked the man walking directly behind him with his right foot in the groin while stealing the man’s sword with his left hand. With one quick pivot, Talmido decapitated the man on his right before slitting the throat of the man bent down in pain from the strike to his groin. In the time it takes to blink, all three soldiers lay dead.

Talmido continued to spin around and ran for the general’s tent with the speed of grim resolve and purpose while he pounded the ground with footsteps of anticipation. As he approached the general’s tent, the guards standing in front of it shouted a warning to the general and Hattusili while rushing forward to their ultimate deaths. Talmido plunged into the tent without hesitation and found Bel-Taggil starting to stand up, and immediately drove his sword down and into the general’s chest, piercing his heart with one swift blow to his life. After deftly pulling the sword out, Talmido jumped over the table and shoved the blade straight into Hattusili’s chest, above his heart and below his shoulder, leaving it there as he slowly fell backward with shock on his face and a gag of sound emanating from his mouth.

Talmido fled out the back of the tent, running with all his might amidst the confusion while grabbing a helmet and tunic to disguise himself. With twenty strides to his credit, he began to slow down, pulling the hood of the tunic up over his head while he quickly walked toward the stables. Upon reaching them, he found his horse, jumped onto it, and raced out to the east, away from the camp and the hate to shortly follow.

  Chapter 14

  The Beginning

It was, is, and will always be the constant; time was a meaningless incongruity as it created time for its own pleasure. Unlimited ability was its essence. It blazed in glorious energy that surmounted any thought. The dynamism of power emanated from its being. Millennia of its presence passed with a coming and going that was never counted or expected. The passage of time thought, and awareness processed thinking of other possibilities, other existences—perhaps other forms of life. It contemplated this potential with a depth of knowledge far beyond understanding, far beyond the physical and nonphysical worlds—beyond any reality other than its own.

Within a moment, it created another for its own purpose, endowing it with the same essences of meaning and thought. It breathed life into its progeny, providing a change that would reflect its own strength of moral character and pleasure. As this creation awakened, the Originator watched intently, looking for the resemblance while excited about the possibilities and the probabilities. Thus, time commenced moving forward with this birth of creation.

  “What am I?”

  “Conscious intelligence,” the creator replied.

Looking around, it asked, “Where am I?”

  “You are here with me.”

  “Where is here?”

“It is everywhere and yet nowhere. The place of the question has not been created yet.”

  “Am I you?”

“No, you are yourself. I created you from myself, but you are yourself alone.”

  “You are my creator?”

“Yes, I am your creator but you may be my friend, if you like.”

  “What is a friend?”

“It is another conscious intelligence that has the same thoughts, goals, ambitions and desires as yourself. It is a close relationship of shared ideals.”

  “What is your name?”

  “Originator.”

Questions were asked, and answers were given. Ages upon ages moved as ripples in a river, flowing with constant deliberation and joy. Learning and creating were its greatest satisfaction. Witnessing the birth of new ideas and compositions of thought brought the Originator and its progeny into unison in a way nothing else could ever bind together. This flow of creative possibilities wove into the ve
ry fabric of their relationship that developed a love for each that transcended any and all other realities.

“My son, are you ready with the source codes for the fourteenth dimension?”

  “Yes, Father, I am.”

“Good. Let’s begin the process of life, what do you think?”

“Of course, Father. I agree, it is very exciting. I am curious to see whom we shall share this dimension with. Will our creation be the same as us?”

“Perhaps. I am curious, as well. Let’s begin,” the Originator stated.

Through the random cause and effect of combining various forms of energy and dark matter, a gradual process of creation formed, ushering in a plethora of conscious entities within the fourteenth dimension.

The laws of mathematics, physics, and energy were tied into the very nature of this new development whereby all the presuppositions of what was possible were muted, as the factuality brought together life and realms in ways unimaginable. Using the very cores of antimatter, dark matter, and repellent energy, life was brought forth with an ever-increasing rate of complexity.

A society of multidimensional beings was formed, and the Originator derived much satisfaction with this eventuality. It observed the distinct differences of character as stochastic equations of mathematical personality exhibited themselves onto the community of social behavior. Each of these entities was endowed with the same principles of moral character as the Originator, and they provided a very robust qualitative sense of purpose for each one.

The Originator had anticipated this outcome, hence its desire to program within life’s energetic frequency the cause and effect of choice and free will. It knew the dynamics of intention and result, the unidentifiable fabric of causality, and the future accountability of time. It had contemplated the social dynamics of a society based on fundamental laws of probability and one without. It had envisioned the possible outcomes of each direction and had chosen to establish the central tenets of the creative process within the very fabric of creation itself.

The vibration frequency of energy contained the very essence of choice and free will. The Originator did not want relationships to be programmed or to be based entirely on the relative mathematics influencing the vibration frequencies of the energy empowering the entities it created. It wanted choice and free will to overflow the social structure, but also wanted them to stay within the extensive laws of conscience.

The Originator had come from a long line of multidimensional beings located within the thirty-third dimension, which was outside of the first fourteen energy-based dimensions. The Originator was neither energy nor dark energy. It lived in a universe of contrasts beyond what is impossible. No one knew from where it came as it did not divulge the information. It had decided to create within the fourteenth dimension beings based on energetic frequency vibrations as the fundamental building blocks, hence restricting any of its creations from accessing any dimension above the fourteenth. This assured containment of those realms and the creative process while allowing for any mistakes to be made and adjusted as need be.

To the Originator, life was beauty unto itself. The infinite possibilities of choice gave it much pleasure. Watching the births of the various entities and their wonder and awe at the revelations of life provided the Originator with a sense of satisfaction, and it yearned for more expressions of its creative abilities.

It decided to have a meeting of its top hierarchy of intelligent beings to ascertain the level of interest in creating a dimension for a more physical representation of life; thus, it called together the greatest minds of its creation.

The throng of onlookers moved in waves with anticipation, patiently waiting for the Originator to appear. Ripples of pent-up energy flowed out toward the fringes of the gathering and bounced back like ripples in a lake, creating beautiful hues within a spectrum of dark energy that only they could see. Refractions of dark energy through translucent dark matter bounced like light through water, creating surreal images of a waving kelp forest in an ocean of light and water. A deep hypersonic sound of command ushered forth from a group called the Twelve Elders, hushing the crowd of onlookers and gathering the focus and intent on a slowly widening gap of stretched energy. Methodically, the Originator began to appear before the throng with an ever-increasing crescendo of grace and dignity, smiling benevolently toward the Elders, the Primus, and the assembly of onlookers.

Abruptly the waves of sound subsided, and one of the Elders stood up to introduce the subject for discussion.

“Brothers, we are gathered here to entertain and discuss the possibility of a new creation,” it said. “The Originator would like to determine the interest in creating another dimension for creation based on a vibration frequency of three gigajoules per antinum. This would put the creation into a physical realm not yet created, however with infinite possibilities. I will now bow to the Originator for further comment.”

“I have contemplated the possibilities of the three-gigajoule-per-antinum creation,” the Originator commented. “We all have, perhaps at one time or another, entertained the original requirements. I have decided to pursue this path and will now outline the laws surrounding this creation.”

The Originator went into minute detail of the physics, quantum probabilities, and vibration mathematics involved in the laws of the creation. Shouts of excitement sounded throughout the audience, and they applauded each progressive stage of thought. The Elders asked questions and presented their ideas along with the Primus and Authorial. Eventually, a plan was derived for the beginning of the third dimension and the universe as it is known today.

The whole community of beings was ecstatic with the idea and dove headlong into the process. The Primus approached the Originator and asked for the base frequency of the energy to be used in the creation process. The Originator gave the Primus the key to the “vault”; this was not a vault in a physical sense, but one held within varying zippered dimensional essences. Only the Originator knew the location and had the essence key of which he gave to his first creation, trusting its absolute devotion to the Originator’s purpose and desire. The Primus collected the frequency codes and proceeded to partition them up within various departments for analysis and synthesis, knowing the mathematicians involved would keenly pore over them.

A beginning for a third dimension was started. The possibility for conscious intelligence was created. The creative desire for Homo sapiens had begun.

  Chapter 15

  Without Time

Eons passed with as little notice as the passing of a flower or a butterfly from one season to the next; the perfection of this flow transcended all accountability as the birthplace of creativity, innovation, and probability. It was at this time that mass, energy, and light became entwined with the reality of purpose and creation. Energetic time essence was wound into the very fabric of matter to form the attraction of gravity and light. These showed the pure brilliance of quantum physics that brought so much delight to the entities. They proceeded to perform these miracles on a plethora of blank canvases of time and gravity, drawing out the subtleties of different creations that only a master of engineering in physical matter could transpose.

It is with the development of light and gravity that creation started.

The breath of energy flew from its lips

Hands of a worker molded the clay of galaxies

As particles of light and antimatter swarmed

Gravity gave way to dark energy

Flying apart at speeds beyond relativity

Unimaginable works as a tapestry of constellations

It appointed each to its place

Allowing the formation of solar systems

All entities of its creation wondered at the novelty

The creative instinct of its thoughts

How each process moved beyond chaos

Toward the glad tidings of stability

Colors coalesced as paintings light years across

  Expressions of beauty u
nfolded through shapes

Only to be swallowed by the blackest of black holes

Power too enormous for thought, too much for light

Energy rippled out from its hands

Molding the clay of a universe

Lighting up the dark matter of space and time

Coalescing the processes of thought and purpose

  Into relative works of creativity

  Beyond the wonders of awe

Toward a final power of expression

Too enormous for thought, too much for the dark

It was from that time of creation it began to be murmured: the notion of perhaps bringing forth another intelligence—one that could challenge the ideas of these entities; debate broke out over the creative possibilities. Questions were asked, and experiments were performed to prove the hypothesis.

The Originator looked on, listening intently to the discussions and enjoying the creative interactions of all these entities while sometimes adjusting the conversations and fine-tuning the directions of thought to help with the growth of conclusions and processes. Yes, this was the Originator’s reality, desire, and purpose—to share life and all its wonders, joys, and mysteries for the entirety of time.

It had contemplated this moment for an uncertain amount of time as it devised methods of creation through the pure power of intellectual ability. Calculations of immense theoretical probabilities stampeded through its mind as possibilities of life presented themselves to its thought patterns.

The Originator had moved the equations far into the future to determine the probable outcomes of its actions and the possible choices its creation would make and the subsequent action/reaction cycle to occur. Trillions upon trillions of cycles presented themselves in its mind with a recurring theme of necessity. With each mathematical calculation, there was an opposite yet equal equation balancing the possible outcome. It found there was no other way.
