Pool of Lies: All Lies Have Consequences...

Ava let her head fall back against the wall as her climax took control of her and consumed her entire being. A strangled cry escaped from her throat and it felt like all the nerves in her body were exposed and on fire, but she didn’t want to put it out. She wanted the fire to continue to burn until there was nothing left of her. As her orgasm began to subside and she became aware of her surroundings Ava mumbled, “No.”
Kacey brushed a wayward strand of blond hair out of Ava’s face with her free hand and smirked. “What?”
Ava stared into the captivating brown eyes that usually irritated her. These eyes had seen her, and on some level, they understood her. Ava cleared her throat, then repeated herself, “No. She doesn’t.”
Kacey gave Ava a brief kiss then withdrew the hand that was still inside of her. She licked off the come that coated her fingers, giving Ava a grin once she was done. Ava was stunned by the display, but she knew that she shouldn’t have been. Kacey was a bold woman who was determined to fulfill the desire that she had for Ava. She wanted her, and Ava couldn’t deny that she wanted Kacey just as bad. Kacey grasped her hand and winked at her. “Come on, Sunshine. I ain’t finished yet.”

Ava woke just as the sunlight began to filter into Kacey’s apartment. She stretched under the thin sheet that covered her lower half. Her body ached in ways that she didn’t think were possible, which was surprising given her vigorous workouts at the gym. Kacey had worshipped her body, but at the same time she had thoroughly used her. Ava had also done her fair share of using and worshipping, but she was certain that Kacey had been trying to destroy her last night. Ava was fine with that. She would let the woman destroy her over and over again if it meant that she would experience the same pleasure. As memories of what she and Kacey had done the previous night crept into her consciousness, Ava’s arousal began to stir. She relaxed her body, and Ava winced as a sharp pain emanated from her back.
Things had definitely gotten out of hand last night. Ava thought she knew what it meant to be thoroughly fucked, but it was obvious that she was going to have to change the definition of that thanks to Kacey. She rolled her head to the right and looked at the pillow next to her. Kacey was sleeping on her stomach and her wild brown hair covered her face.
Last night had been such a blur. She recalled them getting to the five story brick building and she remembered her and Kacey taking the freight elevator up to the floor that she lived on, but the rest of it escaped her. Ava closed her eyes as she tried to bring up the memories of what happened. Then, in a sudden rush, she remembered the palpable sexual tension that had been between them in the elevator, and them eventually giving into it in the hallway.
Ava opened her eyes as she slowly exhaled. She stared at Kacey’s back as their conversation in the hallway made its way to the front of her mind. What Kacey had asked as she took her against the wall, and Ava’s eventual answer, caused a tremendous amount of shame to come over her. Ava covered her face with her hands and let out a quiet sigh. What the hell had she done? Robin didn’t deserve this. She was a loving and supportive wife. Of course the two of them had their arguments, but that happened in a marriage. Robin didn’t deserve to be lied to or cheated on. Ava lowered her hands from her face and stared at the ceiling. She had no idea what to do. She glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand. It was almost seven in the morning and she needed to get home.
Moving carefully, Ava began to get out of the low-sitting bed. As she scooted to the edge of it, she pulled the sheet off of Kacey. After a quick glance to see if she was still sleeping, Ava waited for a couple of seconds, and she was about to continue her quick escape when a long, faint scar on Kacey’s lower back caught her attention. No longer caring about her walk of shame, Ava slid closer to the woman to get a better look at the scar in the dim light.
Her head tilted as her curiosity took over. She had felt something on Kacey’s back while they were having sex, but she assumed it was a tattoo. Ava continued to scrutinize the long, faded, pink scar, wondering how Kacey had gotten it. She could tell that it was a surgical scar, and the fact that it was a little messy told her that whoever had done the sutures hadn’t been too experienced. Ava reached out and ran her fingers over it, just grazing the scar with a light touch, but it was enough to wake Kacey. The woman grabbed her wrist in a tight hold and demanded, “What the hell are you doing?”
Kacey suddenly waking up and manhandling her stunned Ava, but it was the lethal look in Kacey’s eyes that frightened her more. Ava jerked her hand away. “I was going to wake you up. I have to go.”
Kacey stared at her for a moment, studying Ava’s face, then she dropped her head back onto her pillow. “No you don’t. You can stay right here with me.”
Ava visibly relaxed when Kacey lay back down. She was almost certain that the woman was going to go off on her for scaring her awake. Ava got out of the bed and the sheet fell away from her body. The cool morning air hit her naked skin and she shivered. “I have to go home, Kacey.”
Ava got her sweatpants off of the floor and Kacey asked, “To your roommate?”
Ava turned to look at the woman that was lounging on the bed. Kacey was holding her head up with one hand as she lay on her side and watched her. As she pulled on her sweatpants, Ava stated, “Here’s a rule, we don’t talk about her. Ever.”
Kacey sat up and the sheet that was covering her dropped down. Her upper body was on display and Ava’s eyes automatically flicked down to her bare breasts. She recovered quickly and looked up at Kacey’s face, but it was too late. There was a wide, cheeky grin on it. “Like the view?” Ava scowled at her. She couldn’t deal with Kacey’s arrogance first thing in the morning. She had no caffeine in her system, and would most likely end up slapping her. “We have rules now?” Kacey asked, smirking. “Does this mean you’ll be doing this again, or was it just a momentary lapse in judgment?”
Ava rolled her eyes then walked down the two stairs of the elevated platform that Kacey’s bed sat on. She walked out of the room, and as she grabbed her shirt off the back of the couch she called out, “What’s your scar from?”
Kacey didn’t reply, and Ava shifted back to look into the room to see if she was still awake. Kacey was glaring at her and Ava’s eyebrows scrunched together. She opened her mouth to say something, but Kacey held up her hand. “If you know what’s good for you, don’t bring that up again.”
“I was only curious Kac-”
“Don’t fucking ask, Ava!” Kacey cut in, her voice rising as she got angry.
Ava didn’t understand why it was such a big deal, but she didn’t care. She was done being treated like shit. She grabbed her jacket off of the living room floor, and as she put it on, Ava looked into Kacey’s sleeping area. “To answer your question, it was a lapse in judgment.”
Without another word, Ava turned around and headed for the door. She unlocked it, and her hand was on the door handle when she heard Kacey’s footsteps behind her. A gentle hand was placed on her shoulder, and despite herself, Ava closed her eyes. “I’m sorry. It’s just a hard subject for me to talk to about.”
Ava drew in a deep breath through her nose. She was stupid for doing this and the feeling only got worse as the vulnerability in Kacey’s voice broke through her anger. Ava sighed as she turned to look at the other woman. “Okay.”
Kacey lips quirked up in a half-smile, and there was a hopeful twinkle in her eyes. “So you’ll stay?”
Ava shook her head. “You know I can’t stay. I have to go Kacey.”
The smile and twinkle vanished as soon as Ava answered the question. Kacey scoffed. “Of course you do.”
Ava sighed. She wasn’t going to argue with her again, and she didn’t have time to deal with Kacey’s mood swings and her annoying ability to talk in circles. She had to go, but for some reason she was having a hard time doing so. The two of them stood in the entryway of Kacey’s apartment silently staring at each other, then Ava told her, “I’m not going to be at the club toni
ght.”
Kacey blew out a deep breath then gave her a small smile. “Me neither.” Ava tilted her head and her eyebrow went up. Kacey chuckled. “Why would I go there when the one person I want to see won’t be there?”
Ava tried not to blush, but she knew it was pointless to fight it. She smirked and taunted, “Careful, Kacey, I think that smartass exterior is about to crack.”
Kacey gave her a nonchalant shrug while a smug grin came to her face. “Nah it’s okay. As long as I can still piss you off, I think we’ll be okay.” Ava rolled her eyes then turned to leave. She pulled the door open and Kacey said, “Wait a second. Let me get dressed so I can walk you out.” Exasperated, Ava glared at her. She didn’t have time for this. It was morning; she didn’t need an escort in broad daylight. Kacey must have seen the aggravation on her face because she added, “I know the sun is out and shit, but this isn’t the best place for you to be wandering around by yourself.” Ava scowled, and Kacey gave her a pointed look. “Trust me on this, Ava.”
She blew out a breath and closed the door. “Fine, have it your way. Go ahead.” Ava leaned against the door and watched as Kacey rushed back into her sleeping area to put on a pair of jeans that were lying on the floor then she pulled on a black hoodie that had been hanging over the rail at the end of the platform. She slipped on a pair of shoes, then walked triumphantly back over to Ava. “See? Quick.”
Ava rolled her eyes as the two of them left the apartment. They went down to the small parking lot that was behind Kacey’s building, and walked over to Ava’s car. As they stood next to it, Kacey reached out and put her hand on Ava’s cheek, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips. Ava closed her eyes as she returned it. The kiss lasted a few seconds then Kacey pulled back and whispered, “You deserve to be happy, Sunshine.”
Ava drew in a deep breath then opened her eyes. She stared into Kacey’s brown eyes, which were full of care and emotion. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to dwell on what those emotions meant. There was no possibility for them. Ava moved away from Kacey then got into her car, and the woman closed the door gently behind her. She watched as Kacey kissed her first two fingers then she pressed them to the window. Starting the car, Ava continued to look at the woman that had managed to get under her skin, and not in a bad way. Kacey had woken something up inside of her, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Ava stared at Kacey as she pulled away, and she continued to look at her in the rearview mirror. She drove down the street, and other than following the signs that would take her to the highway, she didn’t register anything else. Her vision blurred as tears formed in her eyes. What had happened between her and Kacey was something that would never occur again, and she vowed never to see her again, either. She was going to call the club’s manager and tell him that she quit, then Ava was going to focus on her marriage and silently repent for all the sins that she had committed against it.
Ava bit her bottom lip and wiped away an errant tear that fell from her eye. There was a pain deep inside of her as she thought about what she would need to do to cut Kacey out of her life, but she disregarded it. This was something Ava had to do for her marriage and for Robin. She still felt love and care for her, along with some remnants of the emotional connection that used to be so strong between them. She was going to repair it, and use what love she had for Robin to keep her marriage going, while ignoring what she really wanted.

As soon as she was home, Ava rushed to the stairs, and went up to second floor then headed for her and Robin’s room. Ava walked quickly into the en suite bathroom, then closed and locked the door behind her. She hadn’t checked to see if Robin was sleeping in bed, or if she was even home. She wasn’t ready to look at her wife, let alone talk to her. Ava knew that if she talked to Robin while she was in an emotionally vulnerable state, and feeling a tremendous amount of guilt, she would tell her about Kacey and their night together. That wasn’t something that she wanted to do.
Ava started the shower and began to undress. She took off the jacket that she was wearing, then pulled off her t-shirt, wincing at the slight stinging sensation that came from her back. She turned around and looked at it in the mirror. Looking over her shoulder, Ava saw the long, angry scratch marks that ran down the middle of her back. Her breath caught as a rush of arousal flooded her system, her mind transporting her back to Kacey’s bed.
Kacey’s fingers were deep inside of her, and Ava’s muscles clenched tighter as she rode them. Her head was thrown back and low moans were coming from her as pleasure consumed every inch of her body. Ava brought her head down and met Kacey’s lips for a searing kiss. She had preoccupied the woman for a reason. Her hand reached between them, and she pushed two fingers into Kacey in one sudden thrust. The woman broke their kiss and cried out, “Oh fuck, Ava!” Her short, blunt nails dug their way into Ava’s skin as she raked them down her back.
“Ava!”
Ava was startled from the memory as she heard Robin banging on the door, yelling her name again. Ava took a towel off the rack and wrapped it around her body to cover the numerous scratches, bruises, and bites that she had gotten from her night with Kacey. Robin’s fist pounded on the door again, and Ava swore under her breath before she unlocked and opened it. “Hi honey. Did I wake you up?” Ava asked, sounding more exhausted than she really felt.
Robin glared at her. “Are you just getting home?”
Ava didn’t miss the anger and irritation in her voice. She ignored the guilt that tried to make its way to the front of her mind, urging her to tell Robin that she had cheated on her. Ava yawned and nodded. “Yeah, I got pulled into an emergency.”
Robin’s hard gaze stayed fixed on her for another second, then she turned away. “I’m going for a run.”
Ava nodded again and told her okay, staring at her retreating back for a brief moment. She went back into the bathroom, and after she closed and locked the door, she fell against it. Ava shut her eyes. Robin was pissed, and she had just made it worse. She drew in a deep breath, then slowly let it out. Ava reminded herself that she was going to fix this, and that Robin’s anger was only temporary. She removed the towel from around her body, then stepped into the scalding hot shower. Ava hoped the hot water would not only rid her of the physical evidence of her night with Kacey but also the memories of it. She got her sponge and began to scrub every inch of her body then she repeated the process. Ava was washing her left leg and she saw the bite mark on her inner thigh. No longer was she in the shower. She was in Kacey’s bed, and the woman was lying between her legs.
Kacey was torturing her. The woman had spent the last fifteen giving her the most incredible pleasure, but she had suddenly stopped. Kacey, who was situated between her thighs, looked up at Ava and her eyes twinkled with mischief. “Tell me you want to come Ava.”
Ava only glared at the ceiling above her. She opened her mouth to let out a string of expletives to express her disapproval, but before she was able to, Kacey’s mouth was on her hypersensitive clit again. Ava let out an agonized moan as the sudden oral assault on the receptive organ took her by surprise. Kacey gave her clit a final suck, then she bit the inside of her thigh. “Tell me you want to come, Sunshine, or we’ll be here all day.”
Ava could almost taste her orgasm. Her body was taut with tension, ready for the eventual release. Ava couldn’t take Kacey’s teasing anymore and she lifted her head. “Fuck me Kacey. Taste me. Please let me come. Please?”
Kacey’s mouth turned up in a sadistic grin and she asked, “Was that so hard, Ava?”
Cold water streaming onto Ava’s naked body brought her back to reality. She shook her head and moved to turn off the now cold shower. She had created her own personal hell, where she would constantly face reminders of the one night where she had been uninhibited in her desires with another. She ignored the dull throb that was coming from between her legs as she got out of the shower. Her arousal was another reminder of Kacey, and she was done with her. There was no re
ason for her to keep memories of the woman fresh in her mind. In time they would fade.
Ava dried off then wrapped the towel around her, walking over to the sink to grab her toothbrush. She was standing in front of the mirror brushing her teeth, an innocuous task that had no sexual connotation associated with it, when another graphic memory surfaced and took hold of her.
Ava’s head was between Kacey’s thighs and her tongue was deep inside of her. Kacey’s hand was planted on the back of her head, and her fingers pressing hard into Ava’s scalp, but she didn’t care. She had no intention of moving from her current position. Ava was addicted to the taste of Kacey, and she was trying to consume as much of her as possible. She heard a small whimper then Kacey moaned. “Ava, don’t stop. Don’t.”
Ava slid her tongue up and around Kacey’s firm clit, then sucked on it, before she drove her tongue back inside of her. Kacey pulled on Ava’s hair, and an outpouring of swears came from her mouth. The tight muscles that surrounded her tongue tightened even more, and Ava held on to Kacey’s thighs as she started to come. She didn’t want to waste any of the delicious liquor that flowed from her.
Ava snapped back to reality as the toothbrush fell from her mouth. She shook her head again then rinsed out her mouth. She wasn’t going to be able to forget. Her body still yearned for Kacey and her mind was tormenting her with vivid memories. Ava spat out the water that was in her mouth, then she gripped the edge of the bathroom counter and dropped her head down, squeezing her eyes shut. “I can do this. I can do this,” Ava muttered to herself. “Don’t think about Kacey at all. There is no Kacey. Don’t…think…about…Kacey.”
She drew a breath in through her nose, then released it through her mouth and repeated the process. When Ava was centered and focused, and had her was resolve firmly in place, she left the bathroom. As she got dressed, Ava decided that she was going to cook Robin breakfast while she continued to solidify her determination of getting her marriage back on track. Ava pulled on a pair of form-fitting jeans then looked at herself in the mirror that was over their dresser. She could do this. In a matter of days Kacey would be a figment of her imagination, and her marriage would be on its way to being repaired.
