Kisses and Warfare: A Enemies to Lovers Standalone Romance.
Page 11
Slowly, ever so slowly, I lower myself until I can feel him at my entrance. Blaze grips me to stop me from going any farther down, but he can’t stop me, my body wants what it wants, and right now it wants him, badly.
Blaze doesn’t break our kiss, I’ll give him that. Even when his tip enters me, and I pause my fingers, digging into his face and our kiss, he doesn’t stop. His lips become harsher, more instant, and his tongue relentless.
Sitting even lower, until I can take as much as I can, I pause. Loving the feel of him inside of me, he stops our kiss and pulls away. Blaze’s hands don’t leave me, though.
I have to move.
My body is dying to move.
But right now, Blaze is stock-still.
Fuck it! My mouth opens, and my head hangs back as I lean backward, my hands gripping his legs as I move myself, my tits press forward as I arch my chest forward with my eyes now looking up at the dark sky.
“Fuck, you’re beautiful.” After those words, he takes control. His hands shift and position me so he can move me as he pleases. Soon I’m not moving slow, I’m gripped and moving at his pleasure.
My hips move up and down, then sliding forward and backward. His hands guiding me and shifting me with each breath. I sit up straight, lean forward, and wrap my hands around his neck. He bites my shoulder, but never once does he stop our rhythm. Sweat drips down my back and the fresh, brisk air assaults it, sending a shiver through me as he fucks me and I fuck him.
Blaze doesn’t have the full power in this situation, it’s shared, and I could stop this at any moment, but I don’t want to. And I would never choose to.
My breathing picks up, and my hands grip his hair, messing his perfectly slicked back locks, and I grip on as I feel the orgasm building.
Blaze loves it.
I can tell.
Somehow, he manages to stand with himself still inside of me. My legs wrap around his back, my body clinging to him as he slams me back down on his cock, my body rubbing along his as we’re impossibly close right now.
“Heaven,” he says as I cling to him, my body coming undone as he never stops moving. Not once, even when I almost let go, my body becoming so lethargic that he just keeps his strong hold on me and never stops.
When Blaze is done, he holds me with him still inside me.
I manage to unwrap myself from around him and finally stand on the grass, my heels still on as I look up to him. “That was fun.”
He grabs at my chin with his hand. “We should do that again.” He smiles. I like this side of him, the playful side. It suits him.
“Maybe another time,” I say, patting his chest. Turning, I look around to find my discarded dress. When I can’t find it, I spin and see it dangling by one of his long, talented fingers.
“Tell me you’ll see me again?” he asks.
I look to the dress, then back to him. “Do you plan on keeping my dress hostage if I say no?”
“Yes. The possibility is there.”
I place my hands on my naked hips, his eyes assessing every part of my body, then he licks his lips in approval. I watch as his cock hardens again while he incessantly stares at me.
“Tell that bad boy no. I have to go back to my daughter.” I snatch my dress from his hands and smile. “I’ll think about it. I mean, if you make me come like that again, the possibility is there,” I say while sliding my dress back on with a grin.
He tucks himself back into his jeans, then reaches for his shirt and pulls it on.
“I’ll do better. Next time I will fucking be eating that pussy before I fuck it.”
Oh God! I clench my legs together at the thought.
“I need a wipe,” I say as I feel him between my legs, his cum sliding down.
Fuck, I didn’t use protection!
Luckily for me I’m protected against pregnancy, but still that was stupid.
“I’m clean,” he says, guessing what I am thinking. Blaze takes his white shirt off and walks toward me, then he leans down, lifts my dress, and wipes between my legs with his shirt. It’s such a weird gesture that I pause, my hand on his back as he takes his time, making sure I’m clean. He’s gentle before he stands, now shirtless, and I see the marks on his neck from where I gripped onto him too hard.
“It’s only a shirt,” he says.
Walking to the bike, which he slides onto, he tucks the shirt into his back pocket and pats the back for me to get on.
“This could be really, really bad,” I mutter to myself, but he hears me.
“Or, really, really, fucking fun.” Blaze laughs as I throw my leg over and cling myself to his back. He passes me the helmet, and as soon as it’s on, he starts the bike, and we’re off.
I look back at the grass, which holds so many mixed memories for him, and smile.
Chapter Nineteen
Blaze
I don’t think I will ever get enough of her. This is true. The way she feels is pure bliss. I’ve never been with a woman who made me feel even the slightest way she makes me feel.
We come to a stop out the front of my brother’s home, and Marcus is already there, his arms crossed over his chest as he watches me.
Katarina gets off and passes me the helmet, the smile not leaving her face. The smile I like knowing I’ve put there.
“You have grass in your hair,” I tell her.
She goes to wipe at it and shakes her head, walking past Marcus to go back inside. I watch her ass until she’s no longer visible, and sigh.
“What’s this?” Marcus asks.
He isn’t one to ask questions, so I raise an eyebrow at him.
“Rochelle made me come ask. So give me an answer before I fucking act like I care.”
“It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it,” I tell him with a smile.
“You’re smiling,” he points out. “Fuck! That’s trouble right there.” He turns to go back in the house, and I grab the discarded helmet, ready to put it on, when she steps out, holding a white shirt in her hand.
Walking over, she holds it out to me. “It’s Marcus’s shirt. Figured you may need one for the ride home.” I take it from her hands, and she stands tall. She doesn’t go shy like most other girls I know who are unsure of what to say.
She smiles, and I return it. “Stop looking at me like that,” she mutters while shaking her head.
“Like what?” I ask her, the smile not leaving.
“Like you’re picturing me naked again.”
My eyes roam over her from top to bottom.
“You are.”
“I am,” I confirm. “I mean, if you wish to lift that dress a bit, it would be very helpful.”
“Fuck off.” She turns to head back inside but stops at the door. “Goodnight, Blaze.”
“Goodnight, Katarina.”
“You haven’t answered any calls,” Snow says the minute I get back to the clubhouse. They’re all on their bikes.
“What’s wrong?” I ask, pulling my vest from my bike bag and putting it on. I don’t always ride with it on, especially when I’m by myself, as it can cause trouble.
“They have Andy.” One of our prospects.
“Fuck!”
Snow hands me my gun and gets back on his bike. “I was about to come find you,” he says, eyeing me up and down.
“When did it happen?”
“We heard a few hours ago. It’s all we know because he was late back, and he’s never late. It was his turn to do the alcohol,” Snow says, referring to our parties. Each prospect has jobs, and tonight’s party was Andy’s to collect and set us all up.
“Okay, let’s go.” Sliding my helmet back on, we ride. The roads are empty. We pass the strip club, which is closed due to how late it is, and as soon as we enter their side of town, I know tonight is going to go straight to hell. It started off well, and I figured I would pass out with the taste of her on my lips, but no such damn luck.
Lights flash brightly as we near their compound. A few of them are ready for us and are standi
ng out the front, barring us from gaining entry.
“Where’s Cane?” I ask the gatekeeper. He looks at me and doesn’t say a word. “Last chance, where’s Cane?”
“Blaze,” Snow warns, he knows this could be a blood bath. This could end so very badly. But he’s been fucking with me for way too long.
“Tell him to meet me in an hour at the strip club, and to bring my prospect, or I will rain fucking bullets through your heads.” I put my helmet back on and ride off. We don’t go as far as the club. Instead, we find a spot that’s covered in darkness, no street lights to penetrate the gloom, and pull the bikes off to the side. Reaching into my bike bag, I pull out a black hoody and pull it on. Snow does the same as do a few others, Marley included.
I turn to address the rest of the group. “If they come near, don’t ask questions, just shoot.”
They all nod as we start our trek back to their compound. It takes a total of fifteen minutes walking through bushland, and that’s when we see them. The two guards are still out the front, and music is blaring from the inside. We manage to bypass the guards while they talk and have a cigarette.
Snow goes to the left with one of the guys, and Marley and I go right. Walking around their building, the music is loud, and I see they have no interest in meeting with us at all. Looking through the first window, I see a guy’s ass as he has a woman bent over, slamming inside of her with a beer in one hand, which he brings to his lips while he continues to fuck her. Stepping away, I go to the front, slowly creeping along the wall, making sure no one is there to see me as I reach the door that leads inside the building. Grabbing a chair, I put it under the handle and continue farther along.
Shouts are heard and I freeze on the spot, looking back to Marley, who shrugs and points to another small shed. We make our way toward it. It has no windows, and the shouts don’t stop, even when we reach the front of it. I put my ear to it to make sure no one is inside, but we won’t really know until we open the door. It’s a risk, but if our prospect’s in there, I need to get him out.
“Go,” Marley says, holding up his gun while looking around. I manage to fling the door open quietly, but it is dark inside.
Damn! There’s no one in here.
Then, very softly, I hear a whimper. I grab my phone, turning on the flashlight, and I see him tied to a chair, his mouth’s bound, and his eyes are wide as he stares at us.
“Andy,” I say, stepping in.
Marley follows and shuts the door, making the room go dark apart from my light.
Reaching for my knife, I untie him, and Andy barely manages to stand. “What did they do?” He lifts his shirt, and I see the slashes marring his body. My body tightens at the thought. The same thing happened to Marcus—scars now line his body from the wounds he suffered—but his were from our mother. I remember cleaning them when he slept to keep the pain at a minimum.
“They know you own that club. They think it’s you encroaching on their territory,” he says.
He isn’t wrong, but it wasn’t him I wanted to keep an eye on it was her, she fascinates me even when she shouldn’t. But Cane is a piece of shit and he can keep thinking what he wants. Fucker.
“Marley, get him out.”
“Not without you.”
“Take him out,” I growl.
He nods and takes the prospect, who winces as he’s carried out. I reach for my phone and see Snow hasn’t messaged me. Sending him a quick message that we have Andy and to meet me out the front, I go back the same way we came in. The guy who was fucking that woman is now banging on the door, clearly pissed that he’s been locked in there with his two-minute penis.
“I knew you would come,” a voice says from behind me. I hear the click of a gun’s safety and know it’s close. I look up to Marley, who’s a fair distance away, hoping they haven’t spotted him, and he keeps going.
Turning around, I raise my hands with my gun in one.
“Of course I came. You tried to take what’s mine.”
He has a beer in one hand, a gun in the other. There are no women anywhere, just his crew, and they all have guns. I could shoot my way out. It might work that way. But the odds of me not getting shot or killed are low.
“You are nothing but trouble, Blaze,” Cane says, shaking his head.
“As my mother used to say,” I mock him.
He steps forward with his gun raised as his lips turn into a flat line, and his eyebrows pinch together. “I will take your women, and fuck your sweet manager, after I bury you.”
“That may not happen,” Snow’s voice comes from the side as he walks through with a woman in his hands, and a gun to her head.
Cane looks to her, his eyes going wide, his weapon moving from me to Snow. “Let her go. Now.”
“What? Like you let my man go?” I ask him, my head dropping to the side.
The woman, or better yet the girl in Snow’s arms, cries louder.
“Daughter, I’m guessing?” I walk over to Snow and touch the girl’s hair, lifting a dark strand and smirking. “Tell me, girl, what’s your name?”
Her eyes flick to Cane, and Snow grips her tighter. “Jean,” she whispers.
“Jean,” I say while taking a look back at Cane, whose gun is still raised. “Is this bad man your daddy?” She nods fast. “Lower your gun, Cane, if you want her to live.” I lift my own gun and place it to her head.
She cries harder and sobs loudly.
Cane’s inner turmoil is evident as his eyes flick from mine to hers.
“Tell me, should I keep your daughter the way you kept my man?”
“No,” he replies.
“Okay, so I should maybe fuck her the way you threatened one of mine?” I bite back, thinking of his threat toward Katarina.
“I’ll end you,” he says.
Marley comes up behind us with his gun also raised. “I’m taking her.”
I nod to Marley and Snow passes her to him. All of our guns are raised, and they could still win if they started shooting, as they outnumber us. But they would risk killing his daughter. She is at least eighteen at a guess.
“No, you ain’t,” he spits, looking at his daughter.
“I’ll drop her at the club. Maybe…” I reach for another piece of her hair, smelling it and licking her cheek. “If you’re good.”
“Daddy,” she whimpers.
“You can call me Daddy if you wish,” I say with an evil grin.
“Drop your guns,” Cane says to his men. “What do you want?”
“I want you to stay away from my club. Stay in your area. Because if you don’t, Cane… well, put it this way, I now know what means the most to you, and I know how to play games as well.”
The girl continues to cry.
“I won’t enter again,” he says through gritted teeth.
I pull the girl toward me. “I’m still taking her. You could change your mind easily.” I start backing away, keeping her with me.
Cane watches me with anger evident in his eyes. He doesn’t move as we make our way out, and when we get to the bikes, I put her in front of me and ride to the clubhouse, stopping out the front.
Her tears have dried now.
“Give me your phone,” I say, holding out my hand as I let her off the bike. She hands it to me, and I pass it to Marley, who pockets it. “Is your mother alive?”
“No, just Dad.” I’ll know if she is lying soon enough—you can learn almost everything about someone from their device. We are going to pull everything from her social media, and soon, we will know where she goes and what she does. Even if he doesn’t come after us straight away, when he does, at least we will know all there is to know about his daughter. And if it were me, I wouldn’t be happy about that, or the risk to her.
Let’s hope he’s the same, and not stupid.
Chapter Twenty
Kat
Mitchell stands at the entrance. I haven’t let him in yet. Over the last two weeks, he’s been buying things for Annabelle and calling every day to
see if we need anything. He’s been persistent, and today he wants to meet my family and apologize. I’m nervous about him doing so, but this will be the test to see if he really does stay. Mitchell could leave, and my daughter will be none the wiser because I haven’t let him in her life yet. And that’s a big yet.
“Should I be worried?” he asks.
“You’ve never met my family.”
He scrubs his face. “I know, one-night stands tend to make that happen.”
“True.” I look back to see my family gathered at the table, waiting for us to join them. We decided to meet at a restaurant. It’s the safer bet because that way there will be no yelling. Hopefully. I choose to wait outside for him, instead of throwing him to the wolves.
“They have raised Annabelle with me, or should I say have been a major part of her life. My family is small, but we stick together.”
“My family only cares about money. You’re lucky,” he says, and I feel a pang of regret from him.
“Do they know about Annabelle?” I ask.
“I’ve mentioned her, but honestly, I don’t want them to know her just yet.”
I nod. That’s his choice.
“Okay, let’s do this.” I turn, and he stops me by touching my arm, so I look back at him.
“Annabelle isn’t in there, is she?” he asks nervously.
“No, she’s with a sitter.”
Mitchell nods, letting me go, and I turn back and walk inside. My mother watches us as I take my seat while he nods to everyone and smiles.
“Hi, I’m Mitchell.”
My father makes the introductions, including Rochelle, who stays seated next to me.
“Mitchell, why don’t you tell us why you’re back after a year of knowing Kat had Annabelle, and you took no interest in her.”
At the time, I wrote to Mitchell and told him he had a daughter, because he had a right to know he had a kid in this world, but I never heard from him.
Mitchell looks to me and drops his head. “I was on a power bender, partying every night, and working all hours to please my parents,” he says, shaking his head. “It’s no excuse, but one night I almost died. And that’s when I realized that isn’t the life I want. Who would care if I died? Possibly my parents, but they would see it more of a burden that I’m not there to take over the company than anything.”
