Nibiru Returns

‘Are they dangerous’ Gagan whispered.

‘They are not usually interested in anything they wander the wastes and other desolate places where there is little or no water and crave mainly solitude. They abhor the living and will generally stay away from them.’

  ‘Generally?’ Aiden exclaimed.

‘Well sometimes they attack and kill the living but this is very rare’ Aya said.

‘And you say there is one of them out there’ Gagan said pointing out at the sand dunes.

‘Don’t worry I have cast a charm that makes us invisible to them, as far as they are concerned we look just like the desert, come lets go’ Aya ordered and they set off once more on their journey.

‘But can they grant wishes?’ Gagan continued the conversation.

‘Only whether you live or die I think’ Aya laughed quietly.

‘So what do they look like?’ Gagan asked his curiosity insatiable.

‘They can look like whatever they want as they do not have bodies. But they tend to prefer looking like a whirling column of fire or sand . They like to terrify their victims before draining them of their life essence’ Aya added.

‘Nice’ Aiden said with a shiver.

‘How can things like that be created?’ Gagan frowned.

‘All the pets that we created were made for defence or attack but you are right Gagan why the Demos or anyone would want to create things like that is beyond reason.’ Aya said sadly.

‘Can they be killed?’ Aiden asked.

‘Yes very easily actually water kills them on touch’ Aya answered.

As they travelled on Aya stopped twice more indicating that a Jinni was nearby.

‘How many of those things are there?’ Aiden asked

‘In a place like this, hundreds I would guess’ Aya replied. ‘Ah we are near to our destination’ and she pointed to a small set of hills that rose up like an island in the desert before them. When they reached the hills a short while later Aya lead the group into a small valley that cut its way into the the island of rock at the end of which was a large Oasis surrounded by trees and plants.

‘We will need to ask permission before we touch anything’ Aya warned them all as they drew near the water’s edge.

‘Who would have guessed that a place like this would exist in all this emptiness?’ Seth whistled.

They all looked round at the many trees and smelt the sweet fragrance of the blossoms that surrounded them.

‘This is so beautiful’ Bridget exclaimed.

They then felt the the wind stir. The leaves of the palm trees began to rustle in the wind as it got stronger. Then not far from them a small whirl wind appeared flames of fire flickering within its core as it grew in size.

‘It’s one of those Jinni’ Faith cried in panic.

‘This is the sacred ground of the Jinni be gone from here’ the Jinni said in a rich female voice.

‘What would the Jinn want with a place such as this?’ Aya replied calmly.

The Jinni seemed to pause then growing visibly larger with more flickering fire in its depth the voice said again this time more loudly and with more menace ‘This is the sacred ground of the Jinni be gone or meet thy doom’ and the Jinni began to advance towards the group.

‘Have the Jinni a new found a liking for water?’ Aya asked unperturbed.

‘Leave this place’ the Jinni said not quite as confidently as before coming to a halt again, ‘NOW!’ it added as an afterthought.

‘Is that any way to treat your guests!‘ Aya now scolded the Jinni.

The Jinni actually seemed to move back at Aya’s rebuke.

‘Aya is that you?’ said a man’s voice from somewhere in the gloom behind the Jinni.

‘Yes Toth, now can you stop these silly games!’ Aya answered.

The jinn grew smaller and vanished then out of the shadows a man emerged dressed in white flowing robes. He was a tall man with a gaunt face and mischievous grin framed by a silvery head of hair and beard.

Toth his arms raised in greeting went straight to Aya and placing his hands on her shoulders he took a good long look at her, ‘It is you! You look even younger than when I last saw you! And he kissed her on each cheek in welcome, ‘and even more beautiful.’

‘And you ‘ Aya looked at Toth critically ‘You look a bit weary, have your muses been tiring you out too much?’ Aya said with a wicked smile.

‘The great Toth, never!’ Toth replied indignantly. ‘Now why is the beautiful Aya visiting old Toth I wonder’ Toth said casting a look at the group behind her.

‘You were on our way, why are you not happy to see me!’ Aya said feigning anger.

‘Of course I am pleased to see you, you make my miserable life worth living!’ Toth declared bowing before her.

‘I doubt that very much’ Aya laughed.

‘But it is true you are my light! You should forget your wanderings and come stay with me here’ Toth waved his arms at valley surrounding them.

‘Well my friends and I would like to stay with you for one night at least’ Aya smiled sweetly.

‘Of course yes’ Toth said quickly looking back through the trees as if he had remembered something. ‘Please come let’s get inside, follow me.’

Toth quickly led them to the far wall of the valley where he showed them a hidden stairway cut into the rock that led half way up the valley wall. At the top of the stairs there was a door that led to home much like the Neteru home they had stayed in before but on a much grander scale.

Toth led them to a large room whose floor was covered with the deepest softest carpet that Aiden had ever seen or felt and around the edge of the room numerous cushions and rugs were strewn much as the Neteru hall had had around its fireplace, the only difference being that this room did not have any fireplace.

‘Please sit’ Toth said and threw himself down on some cushions with the others arranging themselves about each side of him.

‘So introduce me to your friends Aya’ Toth ordered.

Aya did as she was asked and Toth smiled and looked at each of the travellers in turn as if seeing something only he could see.

‘Where are my manners’ Toth said suddenly breaking the silence and clapping his hands twice. ‘You must be thirsty after your journey. Ah here they are!’ he said with a simile ‘these are my muses.’ As he spoke a parade of beautiful women all barely dressed in soft silk garments entered the room looking like they had all come straight from a beauty pagent. Each one carried a tray of drinks and dates, which they gracefully placed in front of the travellers and with a giggle they turned and left the room.

‘My muses’ Toth said proudly ‘Are they not beautiful!’

‘I thought there were only three muses’ Aiden said quietly to Gagan.

‘Well some think there are nine of them’ Gagan answered.

‘In Toth’s case there can never be enough!’ Aya laughed interrupting their conversation and looking at their host.

‘But Aya you know that I would send them all away in place of you’ Toth said earnestly.

‘I would not keep you as amused Toth’ Aya said. ‘How many do you have now anyway?’

’Twelve’ Toth said proudly ‘Two just arrived in the last few days!’

‘My you are getting popular’ Aya congratulated him.

‘It is not me I fear’ Toth admitted ‘with all the troubles that are coming I think they feel this is the safest place for them to be’

‘I hope it will’ Aya said doubtfully.

‘Oh but it will! I have created a spell to hide my home so no one will find us. The harder that anyone looks for this place the less chance they will have of finding it’ Toth grinned at his own cleverness. ‘The battles can rage all they like out there, in here we will remain safe and in peace.’ Toth paused and looked at Aya ‘but of course that is why you and your friends are here you wish to live here with me of course!’

‘No Toth we are just passing through’ Aya shook her head.

  ‘But there is so
mething more that you want from me I think’ Toth guessed.

‘Yes’ Aya admitted. ‘I think it is time that my friends learnt some more about who they really are and who better to explain this to them than the wise Toth’ Aya bowed respectfully.

Toth looked around carefully at the group once more his gaze eventually coming to rest on Aiden . ‘May I look at your bow’ he said to Aiden holding out his hand.

Aiden as requested handed the bow over to Toth who examined it for several minutes then handed it back without a word.

‘Yes I will do this thing you ask’ Toth said looking at Aya, ‘but in return you must do something for me. I need help with a little problem that has been plaguing me. Will you agree to this?’

‘What is this problem?’ Aya said looking at Toth warily.

‘Each night now we have an unwelcome visitor that comes to my valley and I fear that soon it will think to make its home here. I want you to rid me of this problem.’ Toth said now looking directly at Aiden.

‘But we are not warriors Toth!’ Aya exclaimed.

‘But you have weapons and I only need one of you for this task’ Toth said again looking directly at Aiden.

‘What task? And why are you looking at Aiden?’ Aya said not liking where the conversation was leading.

‘He carries the bow Adar Alal, I will show him how to use it and it will be an easy task after that!’ Toth said as if it was a just small matter that he required Aiden to do.

‘You are as cunning as an old fox Toth now tell me what this task is’ Aya insisted.

‘I told you I have an unwelcome visitor but an arrow fired from Adar Alal will soon send him on his way’ Toth said.

‘I cannot allow this’ Aya refused flatly.

‘I will do it’ Aiden said contradicting Aya who looked at him in shock.

‘Aiden you’ Aya was about to say.

‘I want to do it’ Aiden persisted ignoring Aya and looking at Toth.

Toth looked back and forth between Aya and Aiden a smile playing on his lips.

‘What can I say he wants do it’ Toth apologised to Aya ‘and I can think of no better way for him to learn. You did say did you not that you wanted me to teach them! ‘ Toth continued before Aya could object.

Aya looked at Toth and then at Aiden still clearly angry.

‘So it is agreed yes’ Toth said smoothly to which Aiden nodded. ‘Good then let me start by teaching your friends a little bit about who they are’ Toth smiled at the group sitting round him. ‘I will start from the beginning as that is always the best place.’

So it was that Toth began to tell them about Nibiru and the Anunnaki, much as Aya had already told them before but adding much more detail. Toth then told them how he believed that the Neteru were the natural evolution for the Anunnaki race and he told them how the Anunnaki had attacked and persecuted the Neteru, whom they saw as being inferior for their beliefs. Toth then described how the Neteru had fled from the Anunnaki and after a long time of wandering the wastelands they eventually built a hidden city, a place of refuge that they called the Kurnugi ‘The Neitherworld’. here it was here that the Neteru remained hidden from the Anunnaki who in turn soon forgot about them. Toth went on to tell them much of what Aya had already told. Toth described how despite now having their own city, the Neteru still remained prisoners on their own world. So it was the Neteru grew restless in their confinement and the elders realised that something must be done or all would be lost. Then one of the elders named Kia looking at earth realised that there lay their salvation. Kia told the Neteru that the Earth would sustain them and there they could flourish and grow without fear from the Anunnaki. All the Neteru agreed with Kia and throughout the next turn of their world the Neteru built great machines to transport them to Earth. Then on the day the Neteru called Elu Asu, the Neteru left Nibiru and headed for Earth.

Toth described how the Neteru arrived on Earth and discovered humans and how the Neteru looked closely at then in wonder. For unlike the Anunnaki, humankind lived in peace with this world. The Neteru, Toth told them could see that man lived in harmony with this world. Which was how they, the Neteru wished to live. Had it been the Anunnaki that had come to Earth instead of the Neteru they would have enslaved man and used them as play things. But the Neteru had turned their backs on such ways, they did agree that humans would always be master of this planet and the Neteru would live in peace beside them.

Toth went on to describe how the Neteru built a great city that they called Atu Lamadu, whose crystal spires nearly reached the clouds and where the Neteru lived in peace and gained in knowledge. However some Neteru felt it was their duty to help man and after much discussion it was agreed that they could go out amongst the humans to help them prosper. Toth then explained how some Neteru became corrupted by the power and worship they received from humans and in turn how they corrupted the humans. For their crimes these Neteru were cast out and called the Demos. Toth described the ensuing war between the Neteru and the Demos. How the Neteru created giant monsters they called Titans. Frightening beyond measure were these creatures that could crush entire armies with a single blow and the Neteru set these monsters free to battle the Demos. It was by these means that the Neteru did prevail in the war and the age of Edis Etuti was begun where the world was at peace for a hundred years. This age came to an end when the Neteru, Demos and their pets fell asleep.

The next age Elu Negeltu began with the return of the planet Nibiru and the waking of the Neteru and Demos together with their pets. It was in this age that the Anunnaki attacked the Neteru destroying thier city Atu Lamadu and killing many of their number. But the Anunnaki did not succeed in killing all the Neteru many of whom managed to escape by secret ways and they took themselves away to gather their strength and to fight back against the Anunnaki. These Neteru, with the help of mankind did wage war on the Anunnaki who in their arrogance had believed that defeating the Neteru would take little effort. But unkown to the Anunnaki the Neteru had one among their number known as the Burning Sword. It was with his aid that the Anunnaki were completely destroyed in the great battle the Neteru call Shuhadaku Thazu. However with the Neteru almost destroyed and their city gone they agreed that they would spread out upon the Earth living secretly beside humans, protecting them from the remaining Demos. The Neteru further swore an oath that they would no longer interfere in the affairs of humans. So it remained throughout that age until it was time for the next sleep.

'That was the last age' Toth told the group. 'The next age is now upon us!'

Everyone was silent thinking over what Toth had just told them.

‘Will the Anunnaki return?’ Faith asked.

‘It is foretold that they will return' Toth replied.

‘If they do come will the destruction be that bad?’ Faith asked looking around at the others nervously.

‘Destruction is in the Anunnaki nature I am afraid’ Toth said sadly.

‘But can you be sure that they will come?’ Faith persisted.

‘It has been prophesised that is all I know! So maybe they will not come, but I believe that they will come. I feel it, we all feel it’ he said looking at Aya who nodded. The conversation continued but the stifled yawns of the travellers got more frequent and Toth stopped all further conversation and insisted they all rest.

The next day after they had all woken up Toth showed the travellers around his impressive home. There seemed to be an endless number of rooms whose walls were decorated in beautiful scenes depicting ancient Egypt as well as numerous ancient statues again of Egyptian origin. But of all the rooms by far the largest and most impressive room was the one they were now all standing in. It was more like a hall than a room, at least thirty feet high and twice as wide and three times as long and every inch of wall space was covered by row upon row of scrolls. In the room itself there were more bookcases that again held scrolls and books as well as displays that contained some extraordinary looking devices whose uses could only be guessed at. In the ver
y middle of the room were a number of tables with chairs around which you could sit and read just like a library, which in fact it was!

‘Here is my life’s work’ Toth said proudly ‘this is what I saved from the great library at Alexandria’ on hearing this Gagan nearly fainted.

‘Please feel free to look around’ Toth said with a certain amount of smugness. Gagan needed no second invitation and with the rest of the group began looking around the library.

‘Of course this is not as magnificent as the original library, but it is adequate none the less’ Toth said casually picking up a scroll and examining it.

‘Toth’ Aiden said, ‘you mentioned something about a problem visitor last night can you tell me a bit more of what you want me to do?’

‘Oh yes of course but I think it will be easiest to show tonight’

‘You also said that you would show me how to use the bow’ Aiden reminded him.

‘The bow yes! An exceptional weapon if you like that sort of thing. It has the power to defeat most things you know, now where was that’ Toth paused in thought, ‘ah yes follow me’ and he strode off down the library. Finding the bookshelf he was looking for Toth spent a few minutes searching the scrolls until he found the one he wanted. ‘Here it is’ he said reading the scroll.

‘The Ardar Alal, yes I am sure that is your bow it was once used by one of the most powerful of the Neteru to vanquish the Anunnaki in the great war of the Shuhadaku Thazu. Its arrows can pierce the strongest of armour, you are very lucky to have it’ Toth said still reading the scroll.

‘So how do I use this bow properly?’ Aiden asked.

‘By saying the right words of course’ Toth said finishing reading the scroll which he rolled back up.

‘The right words?’ Aiden said with raised eyebrows.

‘Yes and I now know what those words are’ Toth said tapping the scroll in his hand.

That night Toth took Aiden and Aya to a vantage point high above the valley where they had a clear view of the oasis and the surrounding trees in the bright moon light. Looking up Aiden could see that Nibiru shone even more brightly than before. Aiden wondered what was happening on that world if, even as he was now looking at the planet there weren't fleets of Anunnaki spaceships heading towards Earth.
