Never Be the Same

Zander rolled his eyes playfully, “Why did Jameson have to marry someone so smart? I liked the dumb bimbos he used to hang around more.”
“Well I’m sorry, but I am here to stay,” I explained.
We shared a brief hug before the news casters said that they wanted to get the men mic’d up for their interview. I gave Peter an encouraging hug and gave Jameson one last kiss before I made my way upstairs. The second that my flipflops hit the landing, memories of the night that I met Jameson flooded back. I had thought that he was such a cocky asshole, and while he did have moments such as those, he also showed me a far different side.
For the first few minutes of the interview, I watched from the railing that lined the VIP area. Jameson was smiling brightly, looking as comfortable as ever in front of the cameras and so did his friends. I had caught Jameson looking up at me a couple of times, so I moved away from the railing and laid on the couch that I had personally dubbed as Jameson’s. Whenever I came to visit him up here when I was in Los Angeles that week with my friends, this was where he sat. This was where I staked my claim on him to Michelle when she tried to make a move.
Curling over onto my side, I rested my hands under my head. My eyes closed easily, my mind still assuming that I was in Greece and had stayed up all night. The last sounds that I heard before I finally gave into my dreamworld were the laughter of Jameson and his friends. Finally, they were back on track.
I vaguely remembered getting back from Club Roma this afternoon after Jameson’s interview. Jameson had come to wake me up following his interview and a few candid shots and I almost didn’t want to wake up. Wherever the guys got those couches from was amazing because I could’ve slept all day on them.
When we got back to the amazing house that Jameson owned, we ate a little lunch before crashing in bed again. As much as I wanted to say that some bedroom antics took place, they didn’t. Within a few minutes of lying down in bed together, we were both passed out. By the time I had finally woken up, Jameson had left me a note on his side of the bed that he was heading to the club and to meet him there when I got up and ready.
Tonight, was a big night for Club Roma because more than a few celebrities were going to show up for the evening. It was also a big night because many magazines and publicity websites were going to be there as well so that they could write articles about the atmosphere of the club. Knowing that I had to look my best for the evening, I slid out of bed and made my way into the bathroom. After a quick shower, I dried my hair as best I could and began to dig through my luggage that we had taken with us to Greece. Most of my ‘going out’ clothes were back in Chicago, but I knew that Jameson liked everything in this suitcase. When I came upon a black slip dress with a deep v-cut neckline and a slit up the side, I knew I had found the dress that I was going to wear. It reminded me of the dress that I had worn the night that I met Jameson. What better time to relive the moment we met than the night after we returned from our honeymoon?
Slipping the dress over my head after putting on a black lace push up bra and matching panties, I took a quick glance at myself in the mirror that sat inside of Jameson’s walk-in closet. The slit went up to my upper thigh and exposed just enough skin while the deep v-cut neckline showed plenty of cleavage thanks to the push up bra. I quickly dug out some black heels while I ordered an Uber to pick me up at Jameson’s place. I knew that he had driven down to the club, the man had missed his Lamborghini very much over the last few months.
By the time the Uber had pulled up to Club Roma, the line was already down and around the block and paparazzi were on standby with their large cameras. I stepped out of the car and walked right up to the bouncer whom I had become well acquainted with during my weeklong visit to Los Angeles.
“Well, well, well, Briella. It’s been a long time, lady!” Devon, Club Roma’s bouncer, announced loudly.
“Hello to you too, Devon,” I smiled and gave him a fierce hug.
“Rumor has it, you married one of the bosses.” He winked as he chuckled.
I nodded, my smile getting even bigger, “The rumors are true. Jameson Barnes is officially off the market for good.”
Devon held up his hand and I happily high fived him, “Good job, girl. Have fun in there.”
He opened the velvet rope for me and I strode in like I owned the place. If you really thought about it, in a way…I really did. I nodded to the VIP lounge’s bouncer who easily opened the next velvet rope for me when I finally got there. The place was more packed than the last time I had been here, and that was a very good sign. I climbed up the steps and was immediately greeted by massive amounts of people up in the VIP lounge. Usually, it was a select few groups of people but they were everywhere now.
Maneuvering my way through the massive amounts of people, I came up to the couch that I had been napping on this morning. Of course, Jameson was sitting on the couch like he always had, but he wasn’t alone. My archnemesis, Michelle, was practically sitting on his lap, her hand a little too high up on his thigh for my liking. I could see Jameson trying to pry off her claw-like grip as Zander and Peter talked to what looked like a reporter. Michelle switched Jameson’s grip from her hand up to her breast and I immediately was seeing red.
In a few steps I was standing in front of the two of them with my hands on my hips. Jameson’s attention immediately shot up to me as he removed his hand from where Michelle had placed it.
“Baby, I swear, it’s not what it looks like,” Jameson explained.
“No, Jay, I got it. I saw the whole thing happen and I know it’s not on you. Her on the other hand? She’s going to have to watch herself,” I snarled at Michelle.
“Not this girl again. Jamie, I thought you moved on from her,” Michelle insisted.
I let out a short laugh and held up my left hand in her face, “Think again, bitch. We got married last week.”
Her mouth fell open as she looked between the two of us. Jameson showed her his hand that she had moved to her breast, his wedding band catching a small amount of strobe light from the DJ down below. I took a small step towards her and before I could stop myself, slapped her hard against the cheek.
“You ever come near my husband again, I will personally see to it that you are banned from ever stepping foot in this club ever again. Do I make myself clear?”
Michelle’s hand covered her cheek as she nodded and scurried away. Jameson stood up and took the hand that I hit her with, examining it closely. I pulled my hand gently away from him and turned to face him.
“I’m fine, Jameson. Just fucking kiss me already.”
His face lit up as he brought his lips down to mine. My mouth opened for him, his tongue immediately seizing the opportunity to caress mine. I groaned into our kiss, loving the feeling that I got when we kissed. I had loved it on top of the Observation Deck on what was technically our first date, and it still made my toes curl. Jameson’s hands rested on my hips as he tugged me closer, his fingers gripping onto the satin-like material of my dress.
“Don’t make me get the hose on you two,” Zander’s voice called out from beside us.
I pulled my mouth away from Jameson’s and looked over at Zander, ready to give him a piece of my mind for interrupting us. That was until I saw a man standing next to him that I did not recognize, one with a notebook in his hand. I heard Jameson clearing his throat, knowing that he was trying to turn himself off a little bit. I could feel the beginning of his erection against my body.
“Jameson, this is Edward. He works for the LA Times. He wanted to ask us a couple of questions about the club for his article,” Zander said loud enough over the blasting music from downstairs.
Jameson nodded and extended a hand out to the reporter, “Pleasure to meet you, Edward. You’ll have to forgive me for the public display of affection, we’re newlyweds.”
Edward chuckled and shook Jameson’s hand, “I understand that. I was the same way with my wife right after we got married.”
“If only that we
re the case, Edward. These two have been affectionate like that since their first date,” Zander pointed out.
I rolled my eyes at him even though he was telling the truth. Once Jameson and I had kissed, there was no turning down the amount of affection we showed one another.
“How long have you two been together?” Edward questioned.
“Four months. We just got married last week,” Jameson answered as he moved the hand that remained on my hip to the small of my back, “This is my wife, Briella.”
I smiled shyly at the reporter. Any time that Jameson called me his wife still made me blush and feel shy. He had been calling me that nonstop since we got married but the effect was all the same. To be honest, I didn’t think that I would ever tire of it.
“Nice to meet you, Briella. Would you mind if I stole your husband away for a few quick questions?”
“I don’t mind at all,” I smiled politely before looking up at Jameson who was watching me with a large smile on his face, “I’m calling dibs on your couch, Jay.”
“Better save a spot for me to join you when I’m finished,” he said quietly, his hand discreetly beginning to slide down to my ass.
“Only if you ask nicely,” I teased.
Jameson gave me an innocent kiss before trailing his lips down to the sensitive spot just below my ear, “Maybe I should take my sassy wife to the office here. We’ve already christened my office at the Chicago club several times.”
Now that sounded like a great idea, “Stop making promises you can’t keep.”
His teeth gently tugged on my earlobe and I practically melted into his arms, “Oh, baby, I’m definitely keeping that one.”
In the blink of an eye, he was gone. Literally, one second his teeth were nipping at my skin and the next it was like he wasn’t there at all. When I looked over my shoulder to see where the hell he had gone so quickly, he was being pulled off by Zander. Leave it to his friend to constantly cockblock us.
I think it was safe to say that all of the girls in the VIP lounge of the club, except for Peter’s girlfriend Cameron, avoided me while the guys were away. There was no reason for them to act that way unless they were all over my husband before I got there. Cameron and I had a drink and chatted about mine and Jameson’s honeymoon. She was trying to think of a place to go on a vacation with Peter because he had been rather stressed lately with the upkeep of the club since Jameson was basing himself out of Chicago for the last few months for The Green Room, and Zander had been traveling back and forth to keep an eye on the New York club that was being worked on.
The conversation kept getting sidetracked every time a new celebrity would make their way up into the lounge. When actress Cora Carlson stepped up onto the landing, I had to force myself to act professional and not scream like the fangirl that I totally was. She had been in a myriad of television shows that I was addicted to and she was bursting into the movie world like she owned it. I watched as she walked over to the set of three couches where Cameron and I were sitting and I had to force my mouth to stay shut when she pointed to the one where Zander usually sat.
“Is it okay if I sit here? You two look like some of the more normal people in the club,” she smiled sweetly.
Cameron simply nodded and I forced myself to hold back on squealing like a little kid, “Of course, go right ahead.”
Cora took a seat and crossed one leg over the other as she said something to a tough looking man in a completely black suit who took off towards the bar. When she turned her attention back to us, I was mesmerized by how gorgeous she was both on and off screen. Now, if there was anyone that I would be worried about losing Jameson to, it would be that woman who sat kitty corner from me.
“So, how did you two make it up into the VIP lounge? I’ve heard this one is pretty exclusive. It’s been months that my assistant has been trying to get me on the list.”
Wow, this place really was popular if it took someone like Cora Carlson months to get up to where I had been sitting the first night that I had ever come here. Then again, Club Roma had just opened pretty recently before my friends and I came to visit that night.
Cameron answered for us because, apparently, I couldn’t find my voice, “I’m dating one of the owners and my friend here is married to one of them.”
Her eyes got wide as she nodded at Cameron’s answer, “Then that explains it! By the looks of that rock on your finger, your husband must really love you.”
I laughed as I set my drink down on the glass table in front of us, “I’d like to think so. We just got back from our honeymoon.”
“Aren’t you dating that guy, Drew…Drew something?” Cameron asked, leaning forward into the conversation.
“Ah, yes. We haven’t let it leak to the press yet, but we broke up a few days ago. I’d like to say that it was creative differences and amicable, but if I’m being honest, he was sort of a dick.”
The guy in the full black suit came back with a drink for Cora and she thanked him before he disappeared into the shadows. I could see that he was lurking just a little bit and I had a feeling that he was her security. You couldn’t be Cora Carlson and just go anywhere, not when your name was on every other billboard on the sunset strip.
“Not that it’s any of my business, but he did seem like a little bit of a douchebag,” I replied.
“Honey, douchebag is the understatement of the year when it comes to that man,” Cora laughed and took a drink of her cocktail, “I’m Cora by the way, but obviously you two knew that.”
Cameron introduced herself and shook Cora’s hand before she turned to me.
“I’m Briella,” I smiled and took her extended hand to shake it.
“That is such a unique name. How did your parents come up with that one?” Cora placed her drink down on the table.
“My mother had a tough time deciding between Brianna and Ella for my name. She said that when I came out, I looked like a combination of the two, so she put them together.”
“Well, I love it. So, what is it that you two do when you aren’t supporting your significant others at the club?” She smiled sweetly, honestly looking interested in our lives.
Cameron took a sip of her drink and answered, “I actually work with a PR firm that was helping the club do some endorsements when they began to make it big. That’s how I met my boyfriend, Peter.”
Cora’s mouth formed an O before replying, “I might need the name of your firm. My PR agent is really getting sloppy nowadays.”
Cameron grinned and said that she would get her card for her. Then it was my turn to answer Cora’s question.
“I actually work as a surgical assistant at a hospital in Chicago. Jameson and I are usually over there because him, Peter, and Zander own another club in downtown Chicago and I love my job.”
“So, is that how you met your husband? At his club in Chicago?”
“Actually, no. We met up here when I was on vacation with my friends several months ago. The guys do this thing where you can send your pictures to the large screen down there and a group of girls gets chosen to come up here. My friends and I got chosen, and Jameson struck up a conversation with me when I was ordering water at the bar instead of alcohol. I guess you can say that the rest is history.”
I felt a strong pair of hands on my shoulders and I looked back. Jameson stood behind the couch, smiling down at me. I laughed and turned back to Cora, “Speak of the devil. This is my husband, Jameson.”
Cora waved at him and Jameson nodded his head in acknowledgement. He leaned down and his lips pressed up against my ear, “Time to keep my promise, sexy.”
My face flushed and I stood up from the couch, smoothing down my dress, “If you ladies will excuse me, my husband would like to dance. And Cora, if you have any problems ever getting up here again…just tell them that you know Bri and Cameron, they’ll immediately let you up.”
“I will remember to do that next time!” She grinned.
I walked around the couch and took Jameson’s
hand, letting him lead me through the VIP lounge to a door that I had never seen before. It opened to a secret staircase and the sound of my heels echoing off the walls was the only sound thanks to the door shutting out the noise from the club. As soon as we were on the first level, Jameson pulled me down a long hallway similar to the one in his club in Chicago. My heart skipped a beat when we came upon a door that said it was the office. J. Barnes was labeled underneath and I knew that it was his own private office whereas the one in Chicago was for all three men.
Jameson unlocked the door and dragged me into the room, flicking on the light as an afterthought. Closing the door behind us, he pushed me up against the back of it and his lips crashing against mine. I could feel his hands bringing my dress up and I held my hands over my head as Jameson took a small step back to pull it off. It landed on the floor with a soft thud and his hands immediately went to my breasts that were pushed up by my bra.
“Fuck, you have the most beautiful breasts,” Jameson confessed as he reached behind me and unhooked my bra.
I let it fall to the floor and his mouth dipped down to catch one of my nipples between his lips. A loud moan escaped as I tangled my fingers into the back of his hair, holding him against my breast. As I eased on the pressure of my hands, he switched to my other breast, my nipples hardening into little peaks. His hands slid down my body and took off my panties. When he stood up and looked back down at me, the only thing left that I had put on before I came out were the high heels that complimented my dress.
Jameson licked his lips and flung off his suitcoat, tossing it over onto a couch. I loosened his tie and unbuttoned his shirt as he took care of his pants and boxers. All of his clothes ended up somewhere on the floor, even his shoes and socks disappeared. I bent down to start unfastening my heels, but Jameson stood me back up and pinned me back against the door.
“Leave them on,” he demanded.
“O—Okay,” I stuttered.
A sexy smile spread across his lips and Jameson grabbed one of my legs, hooking it around his waist. I felt his cock rub up against my entrance before sinking into me. Jameson’s breath hissed through his teeth as my mouth fell open. My arms rested on his shoulders as he spread my leg out just a little more and sunk in deeper.
