Tangled Games (Dating Games)

by T. K. Leigh

I started this journey with this group of woman back in 2018. That was the year I’d published both my Inferno Series and the Redemption Duet, both angst-filled, emotionally-driven stories. Whenever I write a lot of heavy books, I feel the need to write something lighter, which was when I got the idea to finally write one of my favorite tropes to read - a fake relationship romance.

When I sat down to write Dating Games, which was actually titled Dear Gracie at the time, I never could have imagined it would turn into this series. It was just supposed to be a standalone romantic comedy before I switched gears to write my first interracial romance in Possession. A pallet cleanser, more or less.

But this group of women had different plans for me. And I’m so glad they did. In the past 2 1/2 years, they’ve become close friends. I know I probably sound crazy, since they’re all products of my imagination. But they’ve been with me these past several years. Hell, writing Anderson and Nora’s journey together on Route 66 helped me through quarantine, being able to travel vicariously through them.

So it’s with a very heavy heart that I say goodbye to this incredible group of women so I can focus on other stories that need to be told… Like Esme and Creed’s story! (Stay tuned! It’s coming next year!)

With that being said, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who help me behind the scenes.

First and foremost, a huge thanks to my husband, who’s supported me in this author world since day one. And big thanks for helping me come up with the angle of Nora’s mother’s interview. It really turned the book around for me when I’d hit a wall, so to speak. On that same note, a big thanks to little miss Harper Leigh who makes me laugh and smile every day.

To my wonderful PA, Melissa Crump — I couldn’t do any of this without your unwavering love and support. Thanks for keeping this train on the tracks.

To my fantastic beta readers — Melissa, Stacy, and Vicky — thanks for reading and offering your feedback on this story. Sorry about all the angst. Actually, I’m not. You should be used to this by now.

To my amazing editor — Kim Young. Thanks for always treating my manuscripts with care. You’re the only one I trust to work on my babies!

To my girl, A.D. Justice. This author world would suck without you in it. Thanks for always being there for me.

To my review team. Thanks for always taking the time to read and review my work. Your support means the world to me.

To my reader group. Thanks for giving me a place to go when I need a break from writing and the real world.

And last but not least, a big thank you to YOU! My amazing readers. Whether this is your first T.K. book or you’ve read all of them, I’m so grateful you took a chance on my stories. I still can’t believe this is my life, but I’m eternally grateful you’ve all made it possible for me to write stories for a living.

And I have lots more stories planned, so stay tuned!

  Love & Peace,

  ~ T.K.
