Love, Lies and Lemon Cake

‘It wouldn’t be complete without you,’ I say, inhaling the zest of birthday lemon cake.
I blow out my candles, making a secret wish.
‘Shall we?’ He holds out his hand, I take it and there among the stardust and candlelight we dance under the stars on a rooftop in New York.
A NOTE FROM SUE
A quick hello to all those ‘Fayes’ out there!
Thank you so much for reading ‘Love, Lies and Lemon Cake,’ I hope you enjoyed Faye’s journey and it’s inspired you to start a Living List of your own, however long, short or crazy it may be.
I reckon there’s a little bit of that ‘cliff diving girl’ in all of us, and since writing this have an uncontrollable urge to visit every deli I pass, just in case Dan’s in there. He’ll be slicing ham with those firm arms, and as I walk in he’ll smile with those eyes and ... I have to stop now or I will go all hot.
Anyway, if you enjoyed the book I would love it if you have a minute or so (in between deli stake-outs and cliff-diving) to write a quick review and tell your friends – it would mean such a lot to me – and Faye!
I’m now writing my next book and missing Faye, Dan and the salon girls already, but if you’d like to know when my next book is released you can sign up by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. I promise I won’t share your email address with anyone, and I’ll only send you an email when I have a new book out.
I would love for you to follow me on Facebook and please join me for a chat on Twitter... I’d really love to know what’s on your Living List and we can celebrate with cyber cake as you tick them all off one by one.
In the meantime, thanks again for reading, and... if you happen to bump into a gorgeous blond Australian guy in a deli anywhere, would you please give him my number?
For research purposes only of course...
