  Mackenzie had long ago earned the right to wear his own chastity key, a constant reminder of the trust he had slowly but surely earned from his Mistress. Of course, she didn’t always keep him in chastity, but when she did, she wanted him to have the power to free himself as an ever-present temptation. It was a steady foil to the power he held to reject that temptation, no matter how tantalizing, as a sign of devotion to her. And in their year as Mistress and slave, though he had been far from a perfect subject, his devotion to her had never wavered.

  Rebecca hadn’t lied to him – there had been moments of incredible intensity, with his limits stretched far beyond any once-recognizable contours. She had broken him down to sobs on multiple occasions, only to comfort him in her arms and slowly begin rebuilding him as she saw fit. The result sat before her now, content, healthy, and handsome as ever. He still retained the same mischievous twinkle in his eye, but something was different about it now. It belonged to her.

  “Anyway,” Mackenzie began, that same twinkle beginning to spark in his stare, “I haven’t forgotten what day it is, or that one year ago today, you turned my life around and showed me what true contentedness can feel like. Happy anniversary, Mistress.”

  He opened his satchel, pulling out a manuscript for her. She was delighted at first – for the past year, she had helped incentivize a strict and rigorous writing schedule for him, with amazingly fruitful results. But as she took it in her hands, her face changed to a look of confusion.

  “What is this?” she asked. “It’s too thin to be a screenplay…”

  “Just open it and start reading,” he said. “I wrote it for you and nobody else.”

  Rebecca smirked, impressed and somewhat taken aback by the gesture. “Chapter One,” she said, reading aloud as she flipped to the beginning of his story. “It was 7:00 PM, and Rebecca Carlyle was supposed to be naked…”
