Georgia grabbed the cool box and filled it with fruit, sandwiches, water and some twizzlers. She checked herself in the mirror, making sure that the outfit was ok. Wearing a pair of denim shorts, her favourite pair of tom’s pumps, and a light blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up, she put her sunnies on and left, trying not to over think everything all over again.

Twenty minutes later, Georgia pulled into Erika’s driveway. She got out of the car and jogged up to the front door, hearing Dulcie excitably squealing inside. She knocked on the door and waited for them to answer.

“Hey,” Erika said, opening the door, checking Georgia out. “Wow, you look amazing. Sorry,” she said embarrassed. “That was lame.”

“No, it wasn’t, it was lovely. And same goes to you. Come on, I promise, no fear. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable, so if you need to back out, that’s fine.”

“No, don’t be silly, it’s fine,” she breathed in heavily.

Georgia looked her over. Erika was wearing linen shorts and an oversized vest, which gave an incredible view to her bikini top. “You really do look incredible,” she said.

Dulcie came running out in her little sun dress, “Hi, Georgia. Mommy said you’re taking us out. Where ya taking us?” she said excitably.

“Well that’s a surprise, but it’s kind of far, so we need to get moving soon. Also, I have something for you in the car for the journey.”

“You do?” she said wide eyed.

  “Yep.”

“Where’s your car keys? I’ll go put her car seat in the car,” Erika said.

Ten minutes later, they were all in the car with Georgia being tight-lipped about where they were going. “Ahhhh, I forgot, this is for you,” she said, handing Dulcie an iPod pre-loaded with the frozen album on it. “Put the headphones on,” she said, pressing play and watching Dulcie’s eyes widen as she listened intently.

“Wow, you thought of everything, huh? I’m really sorry your day got ruined, Georgia,” she said.

“I don’t really think I can call spending a day with one of the most beautiful women I’ve seen in my life, a ruined day. I think it’s actually worked out better.” She smiled sincerely, noticing Erika blush.

“Smooth! That’s kind. So, what are we doing?”

“It’s a surprise, for now. You have some time to kick back and relax.” She smiled again, turning the music up.

  “Ohhh, how very American.”

“I know, I just heard it on MTV.” She smiled, singing along to the music on the journey.

  “You nervous?” Erika asked seriously.

“Interestingly, not anymore. I was, I really was actually.” She stopped, looking into the rear-view to check Dulcie was listening to her music before continuing. “I was shitting myself, but now that Dulcie’s here I feel strangely calm,” she said, looking around to Erika smiling. “Why, are you?”

Erika looked out the window distantly. “Shitting myself,” she said.

“Really? I’m sorry. Shit, the Dulcie thing wasn’t an excuse, was it? I kind of railroaded you into this,” Georgia said concerned.

“No, God no, don’t be stupid. I’ll be fine. It’s just, well it’s just been a while. And honestly, I’d be fine if it was just you and I. We could drink, since I am better with booze as you know,” she smirked.

“You are, but that was why I was nervous. I don’t think I would have been able to stop myself from jumping on you,” she said seriously.

“And that’s so bad?” she smirked.

“Yes, now kick back and relax.” She smiled.

  ***

“You’ve brought us to the coast?” Erika said, smiling.

“If by that you mean have I brought you to the beach, then yes. But also, no.” She smiled with a glint in her eye.

“You really are a big kid at heart aren’t ya?”

  “Ohhh, you have no idea.”

Erika got Dulcie out of the car, listening to her excitably chatting about the beach that she was desperate to go to and build castles on.

“I can’t believe you brought us out to Galveston,” she said, bumping shoulders with her. “That’s sweet.”

“Get out of here, you’re making me sound like a right boring S H I T,” she said. “See, see what I did there? I remembered to not swear,” she gloated.

“Can we go there?” Dulcie was asking, as she pointed out a space on the beach.

“Hey, Dulcie, we will be going to the beach. But not just yet, okay? First we have something much cooler to do.”

“But I wanna go the beach first.”

“Baby, that’s rude. Now Georgia has organised something, and if she says we go here later, then we do that okay?”

  “Okay,” she said solemnly.

They arrived at the Baywatch tours desk. “You brought us dolphin and whale watching?” Erika said surprised.

  “I did.”

“Oh my gosh, Dulcie, we’re going to see whales and dolphins,” she said.

  “We are? Coooooool!”

“Woah, easy tigers. It isn’t guaranteed, okay? Hopefully we will, but it isn’t guaranteed,” she said seriously.

  ***

Georgia was thrilled that the day was going great so far. They hadn’t seen any whales, but saw many dolphins, which Dulcie seemed impressed with. Following that, they had gone down to build sandcastles, which again, thrilled Dulcie. Georgia had run back to the car and got the cool box with the picnic to Erika’s surprise. “You really shouldn’t have gone to all this trouble, I don’t think anybody has ever done something so thoughtful for me. For us. I’m stunned. Overwhelmed, really”

“Well, it isn’t over just yet,” she said, smiling widely.

  “Thanks, Georgia, seriously,” she said.

They finally finished the castle making. Dulcie was starting to wind down now. It was a long day and she didn’t know if she would be able to hold out. But they both seemed to enjoy the day so far, which was great. Georgia told them to wait so she could take the cool box back to the car. She was shattered herself and craving a large glass of wine. But she wanted to try and see the last part out, thinking that Erika would really like it. Georgia spotted a large smooth grey pebble in the sand as she walked back to the car. Picking it up, she ran her thumb over it softly and put it in the cool box, smiling to herself.

“So, last part of the day guys, you fancy going to the funfair?” she pointed to pleasure pier. A place she’d read about, but she was uncertain with Erika if it seemed pathetic. But now that Dulcie was here, it seemed quite fitting.

“Woah,” Dulcie squealed excitably. “Are we going up there?” she said, pointing to it.

“We sure are, kiddo, come on! I’ll race you!” Georgia said, running off and leaving them behind.

Erika watched Georgia as she became the most competitive person on the planet, in a bid to win Dulcie stuffed toys. She kept telling her it didn’t matter, but she wouldn’t give up. Not until she’d won her something. And when she finally did, she was happy to move on. “You wanna go on that ride, Dulcie?” Georgia asked her.

“I’m kinda tired,” she said sleepily. “Can we go home now?” she said, holding tightly on to the stuffed toys.

Erika looked to Georgia, who was looking concerned at her watch. “You ok? What’s up?”

  “Oh nothing,” she said disappointed.

“What’s up? Did you have something else planned?”

“No, it’s fine honestly.” She smiled.

“George talk to me? Please?” she turned to her pleadingly.

“It’s just, I thought it’d be nice to watch the sunset over the pier. But I guess it has been a long day. I didn’t think that through I guess,” she said sadly.

“Listen, you have given me…us the best day ever. Unfortunately, yeah, it’s a long and busy day for her. So, we do need to go home, otherwise she’ll be a terror tonight.”
She smiled bashfully. “But…I spoke to Dan’s folks earlier, and they will take Dulcie for the night. If you want to we could go back to yours? I’ll cook for you, maybe mom’s pasta recipe and have a ‘grown up’ night?” she said softly.

“I don’t want to make you feel you have to do that. I know how you felt about her going to her grandparents’.”

“No, they are lovely. They are loving, adoring and wonderful grandparents. I just didn’t want them to be babysitters, when her mom should be looking after her. I have no issue with her going there, they love seeing her and vice versa. Plus, I was kind of hoping you may have wanted to spend some alone time with me. Unless you’re done after today,” she said seriously.

“You sure?” Georgia said, trying to contain the slight smile starting to form. “I know you don’t believe this, but I don’t do this. So, I’m not so sure doing stuff on the first date is the right thing?”

Erika stopped and looked at her daughter, watching the ride go around. “You have no idea, how much that speech just reaffirmed exactly how sure I am,” she said, kissing her lips softly. “Come on, let’s get outta here,” she said, grabbing Dulcie and making their way back home.

  Chapter Seventy-Four

“Thank you for today, you have no idea how beautiful and thoughtful that all was. Seriously, it was the best date of my life,” Erika said, dropping the cool box on the kitchen floor.

Georgia laughed. “Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but thank you for saying it,” she said.

Erika turned around to face Georgia. “Please don’t disregard my comments, Georgia, I’m not exaggerating at all. I’m stating the facts,” she said seriously. “Now, how about you open a bottle and we go and enjoy the sunset in the yard?”

Georgia opened the bottle and put it in an ice bucket to take outside. She sat on the edge of the pool with her legs dangling in as she poured them both a drink, waiting for Erika to return. She put her hand in her jeans pocket, feeling the area and smiling softly. It had been a perfect day. And now what a perfect ending she thought, as she looked out to the sun setting before her, illuminating the sky with pinks and purples. It was the most perfect setting, and in this moment, she didn’t care about everything that was stacked against them.

“Hey you,” Erika said, coming to the pool to join her. She lifted her legs over one of Georgia’s so they were dangling in the water between hers. “How you doing?”

“Honestly? I couldn’t be better,” she said. “I’ve had the best date ever with an amazing and beautiful woman. I’m now sat in my back garden, watching an incredible sunset with said woman, realising just how incredibly lucky I am,” she said, leaning in and kissing her softly.

Georgia took her glass from her hand, continuing the kiss, before dropping herself into the pool.

  “Are you mad? Its freezing!”

She put her hands on either side of Erika and pulled herself up to be level with her. She was smirking a little as she kissed her lips briefly.

Erika was mesmerised by the woman’s toned arms, and she found them sexy as hell. “My God those arms,” she mumbled, leaning her head down to kiss Georgia again.

Georgia put her hands under her bottom, and lifted her in to the water, noticing the slight gasp from Erika. “I have a feeling you’ll warm up very quickly,” she said, kissing her deeply once more.

Georgia heard Erika groan into the kiss. She laced her fingers through her long hair, feeling the soft curls, as she pulled her closer into the kiss. Erika couldn’t feel the cold any longer. Georgia was right, she was getting warmer in this moment and she wanted more. Deepening the kiss, she found Georgia’s tongue with her own, moving together slowly. She could feel the heat and softness of her tongue, and taste the light remnants of the pink champagne they were drinking. God, she was sexy, even now as they were both fully clothed in the pool. She couldn’t remember a time she was more turned on.

Erika could feel her breathing increasing and was struggling to compose herself. This woman was too much, and for some reason she had complete control over Erika. Which was both terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time. She pulled away from the kiss and looked intently at Georgia, watching her. She stepped back an inch and pulled her top off over her head, feeling the chilly effects around her.

Georgia breathed in deeply, unable to take her eyes from Erika. She continued and removed her bikini top. Georgia gasped loudly as she was looking at her beautiful naked upper body. “Erika, you don’t…”

“Shhh. I’ve waited long enough for this. I can’t wait any longer. I’m ready if you are?” she asked nervously.

“You have no idea how incredible you are. It stuns me that you don’t realise this. I am desperate to show you how much,” Georgia said, pushing Erika against the side of the pool and kissing her soft and deep.

Erika kissed her deeper, adding more force and passion. She felt like she had waited forever for this. It had been forever since she had been intimate with someone, and she’d been desperate to be with Georgia since their celebratory night that they’d ended up kissing. She was desperate to feel her, caress her, enjoy every minute of being with her.

Georgia grabbed Erika’s hair and pulled her head backwards slightly. She was glad of the privacy in this moment, because the scene was perfect. The moment was perfect, and more importantly, the woman was perfect. She kissed her way down her jaw line, moving down her neck and making her way down to Erika’s erect nipple. They both gasped as her mouth met the sensitive area. She gently flicked it with her tongue, and bit ever so slightly, causing Erika to groan loudly again. God, she was turned on, and she didn’t know how long she would be able to last with this woman. Georgia could feel the night drawing in and the temperature lowering. She played a little more with Erika’s nipple, feeling the effects it was having on her. She knew she wouldn’t be able to wait. The temptation was too much for her. Georgia lowered her hands, gently scraping down her stomach until she reached the waistband of her shorts, undoing the button with one hand, and still using the other to pull her head back. Erika was gasping, knowing what was coming. She pushed Georgia’s head further into her breast, forcing her to be a little rougher. Georgia looked up and watched the woman basking in the fulfilment she was enduring. Georgia pushed her hand beneath the waistband and into her bikini bottoms, hearing Erika cry out. She pushed her finger inside her and lifted her leg up around her, allowing her better access. She pulled her closer to her, sliding her fingers deep inside, as she continued to bite and suck her nipple. Her arousal was off the charts. And although the water was getting cooler, she couldn’t be denied the unmistakable heat emanating from Erika, causing her to tighten around her fingers. Georgia was flicking her tongue over Erika’s nipple hard and fast now, and pushing her fingers deeper inside her. She could hear both of their breathing quickening as her pace increased. Erika was pulling her closer in and could feel she was on the edge. It had been a ridiculously long time since anyone had made love to her, and the fact she had been so desperate to be with Georgia last week, it was no surprise that she was on the cusp after so little time. Erika could feel her body tighten around Georgia, as she grabbed tightly onto Georgia’s back. Her leg tightly wrapped around her waist, she delighted in the impact the angle was having on her. Georgia continued to get faster and deeper, and in no time at all, her legs had buckled as she hit the highest state of euphoria. She wrapped her arms around Georgia, suddenly embarrassed in the moment and desperate not to look at her.

Georgia moved back, forcing Erika to look at her, attentive to her avoidance. “Hey, hey? What’s wrong? I’m sorry, did you not want to?” she said, looking scared.

  “Yes, yes. I’m fine.”

“No, Erika, you’re not. What have I done?”

“Georgia, you haven’t done anything I swear. It’s just me.”

“But why? I clearly have, you’re scaring me.”

“Seriously,” she urged, noticing the concern in Georgia’s eye
s. She hadn’t realised that she would make her feel this way. More importantly, she wasn’t used to that kind of consideration. “Sweetie, you haven’t done anything, it’s just been a while, like a real long time. And I guess I just felt a bit… I dunno, um, silly. Embarrassed, I guess.”

Georgia put her arms around her and held her tight, shaking her head. She pulled back and looked deeply into her eyes, “Erika,” she scoffed. “You…I don’t even know what to say,” she said sadly, feeling frustrated as her emotions were running high.

“Hey don’t, it’s just me being dumb. Come on, what’s up?” she said seriously.

“You have no idea. Honestly, you have no idea. Look at you. You are the most incredible woman I think I’ve ever met. You are beyond stunning, and you make me feel inferior to your beauty when I’m around you. You have no idea how wonderfully amazing you are, Erika Conte. I wish you could see what I see,” she said sadly. “You do things to me that nobody has ever done before, babe…” she paused, letting the term of endearment linger for a moment. “Please don’t feel embarrassed. I have dreamed about making love to you. For me, that couldn’t have been more perfect,” she said seriously.

Erika could see everything she needed in Georgia’s eyes. She wasn’t lying. Her eyes. Her face. Her expression. Everything was communicating to Erika exactly how she felt and how she saw her.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. I guess the mixture of emotions just took me by surprise,” she said sombrely. “Come on. It’s cold out. We need to get back on track with this mood. Let’s take the bottle up to bed please?”

Georgia looked at her seriously. “Of course, but how about we just relax, watch a movie together and enjoy some cuddling.”
