Scourge of the Siren Page 3

  “What? You hurt her, though?”

Rechavia smiled at the innocent girl. “Don’t you worry about Kally, the Dom in me sure brought out the sub in her. We’re going to have a lot of fun, I can see that.”

“But you can’t hit her.” Amaranda was horrified.

“It’s not what you think, sweetheart,” Eban explained, putting an arm around her. “Some people like it a bit rough, it turns them on.”

“You’re right there, brother,” Rechavia said, grinning.

Amaranda shook her head. The looks on the men’s faces told her she was obviously missing something, but it didn’t seem to be anything to worry about so she shrugged and took her belongings down below as they cast off. She was halfway back up the wooden steps when she heard the men talking. Curiosity got the better of her and she stopped to listen. She could just see Rechavia and Aitan through the opening to the deck.

“So how many whacks did she get? I thought you were going to explode when she opened her big mouth yesterday,” Aitan called over as they sailed away from the island.

“Enough to make her scream.” Rechavia had a salacious expression as he went on. “I thought I’d better go easy on her as it was her first time, so she had ten whacks for seducing Eban and another ten for talking about it in front of Amaranda. I figured that would be enough, but she went mad when I stopped. She was totally creaming and begged for more.”

“Let me guess, you just had to oblige?” Aitan was grinning.

“Well, it seemed a pity not to,” Rechavia replied smugly. “Especially as she was trembling with the anticipation of more. I could feel her heat through my pants as she lay over my knee. I was surprised how quickly she went from horrified and stiff to aroused and compliant. That girl likes it rough, I promise you. By the time I’d given her another ten whacks she was slithering on my knee, rubbing against my cock with that gorgeous body of hers.”

“I bet your cock wasn’t complaining.” Aitan didn’t seem at all surprised at his friend’s antics, having known Rechavia for several years.

“Not at all, brother. I could’ve come right there on the spot but that would’ve been too easy. She was on her knees in seconds, that big mouth of hers wide open ready to swallow me whole!”

  “And did you last out?”

“Yeah, long enough. God, you should’ve felt those satin lips of hers, man, she sucked and lapped me up as if I was her last meal. She’s obviously had a lot of practice, she knew exactly what she was doing. Once a Siren, always a Siren! Fuck, what’re the chances of actually getting yourself a real-life Siren?”

“So did you come in her mouth?”

“Nearly. No, I managed to save myself ‘til I got between those other lips of hers. Her pussy was even wetter than her mouth, and you should’ve heard her beg! She was so ready for it, I thought the whole island would’ve heard her howl when she peaked. I came like a geyser at the same time, it was like boiling lava exploding out of my cock! She loved it, man, couldn’t get enough. I thought I’d never stop coming. She was thrashing about and screaming her head off like a banshee. I’ve had some women in my time, but she was absolutely wild! I told her I can’t wait to get her tied up to one of those rocks out there and take her from behind. You should’ve seen her face, she can’t wait either!”

They laughed and Eban, having coiled all the ropes and tidied the deck, came over to join them.

“You’re one lucky guy, Rech, but I’d take Amaranda over her any day,” he said, having obviously overheard their conversation.

“Good job, man.” Rechavia laughed. He stood, tall and muscular, at the ship’s wheel, commanding all he surveyed. “Your maid’s beautiful. You look right together.”

Amaranda flushed at the gorgeous guy’s seal of approval, though his comment was still ringing in her ears, once a Siren, always a Siren. She cleared her throat to warn them of her presence as she made her way onto the deck. She looked over at Rech, whose handsome face glowed with satisfaction. Eban walked straight over to her and put a possessive arm around her shoulder.

“I thought you’d be getting some sleep, sweetheart.”

“Oh, Eban, that would hardly be fair when the rest of you are working.”

“Don’t mind us, pretty maid,” Rechavia called over to her. “Although that sunrise is looking beautiful if you want to stay and watch awhile.”

Amaranda looked over to the beautiful coral and pink sky on the horizon. The sun was a ball of bright-orange flames, rising majestically, bringing the new day in its wake.

“It’s gorgeous.” She gave Eban a quick kiss on the cheek and made her way toward the bow to watch.

She let the cool, morning breeze blow into her face as she looked up and watched the dawn emerge. The scene was beautiful but her thoughts were dark. Is Eban disappointed that I’m not more experienced? I’m the daughter of a Siren, after all. And what if he wants to hit me the way Rechavia hit Kalliope? Her mind continued to wander as they made their way across the sea to Eastland. She could hear the men laughing and muttering to each other, but didn’t even try to listen to what they were saying. Her mood was sinking fast as she realized that she was so unused to having men around. It had only been a few weeks since they had arrived on the island, and she didn’t understand most of the things they spoke about. It wasn’t just the things related to their jobs or life on the mainland, but also all the “men stuff.” A knot formed in her stomach. Pallas had told her that men were very different from women, but how would she ever understand them?

The sun was high in the sky by the time they neared the mainland. Eastland had a large harbor and there were several other ships, many much bigger than theirs, moving to and from the shore. Amaranda recognized her surroundings from the couple of visits she had made to the mainland, but was still completely in awe of the size and noises of the large town.

Rechavia had the ship’s wheel when they stopped and weighed anchor. Amaranda went below and fetched their belongings. On the quay stood a man near a large truck. He ventured toward the ship and waved to Rechavia. They all helped to unload their cargo and place the plants onto the buyer’s truck. He seemed very pleased with his purchase and shook Rechavia’s hand after giving him a large wad of paper notes.

“Well this is good-bye, brother,” Rechavia said as he handed the money to Eban. They hugged before he turned to her. Although a hug from the gorgeous hunk was usually rather enjoyable for her, Amaranda winced as he took her in his arms. She tried to forget what he had been doing to Kalliope, but couldn’t. Hugging Aitan was much easier, he always was the more easygoing of the two.

“I’ll miss you,” she whispered to him.

“We’ll Super-Skype so we won’t lose touch,” he promised, squeezing her tighter.

Eban and Amaranda left the quayside and made their way into the town itself. She thought she would never get used to the sheer number of people who flocked the area, bumping and nudging her as they rushed passed. The air felt thicker somehow, and she felt herself starting to sweat a little as she made her way slowly down the widening streets. She had dressed in an old shirt of Eban’s, which sufficed as a dress, with a pretty shawl wrapped around the middle as a belt. The other ladies on the mainland looked very different, in pretty dresses, some that skimmed their slender bodies, others that flared out. She even saw a couple of women wearing trousers, though they looked nothing like the ones Eban and the other sailors wore. Amaranda was horrified to see so many people scowling at her. Several looked her up and down with nasty expressions. She knew she looked a little odd compared to them. It didn’t help her glum mood at all.

“First I think we should get you some new clothes and some shoes,” Eban said kindly, evidently reading her thoughts.

The ground beneath her bare feet felt sharp and sore. She had tried to borrow some of the sailors’ boots, but they all had much larger feet than her, and she couldn’t walk in them.

A shop with rails of clothes outside took Eban’s eye and he led her inside. Ama
randa had seen shops on her previous trips to Eastland, but only the ones that sold souvenirs and ice cream near the quay. She hadn’t ventured this far into the town before. The shops here were much bigger and sold everything you could possibly want. On Refrainia, they only wore bikinis, as it was so hot, and they spent a lot of the time swimming around the island. They had shawls in case it became chilly, which was mainly at night, but as they had no artificial light they were usually at home before nightfall and in bed once it became too dark to see. Most of the islanders didn’t have coats either, as it only rained at night. The Elders kept the few outer garments salvaged from the shipwrecks, as there was no need for the others to have them. She was amazed at the different kinds of clothes there were here.

“What about this dress?” Eban held up a green floral frock.

It was very simple in style with a little shaping at the hips. The color suited Amaranda’s dark hair beautifully. He picked up a few for her to try on and a very nice lady in a dark-blue skirt with a white blouse showed her into a changing cubicle. Amaranda was thankful that she had kept her bikini on under the shirt, and tried on one of the dresses. It was very tight. She gasped as she tried to get her little round body into it, and then realized it wasn’t going to fit. Beginning to panic slightly, she pulled at the garment to try to remove it but it was stuck. She stared at her reflection in the large mirror, which covered one wall. Rolls of her skin poked out from the edges of the material. She looked fat!

“Oh no,” she heard herself saying aloud.

“Can I help you, dear?” The lady in the skirt and blouse suddenly opened the curtain and walked in behind her.

Tears were rolling down Amaranda’s face. She felt ugly and uncomfortable and completely out of her depth. She sniffed as an overwhelming feeling of misery engulfed her. The lady, who must have been in her forties, smiled kindly at her.

“Here, let’s get you out of that,” she said warmly. “Arms above your head.”

The lady pulled the dress off the poor girl and then handed her a tissue from a pretty pink box that stood on a corner shelf next to a funny-looking bottle.

“Thank you,” Amaranda said as she wiped her face, “I felt a bit…”

“It’s all right, dear. That dress was the wrong size for you, that’s all. Here, why don’t you use this to cool you down a little?”

She handed the young girl the bottle from the shelf, and Amaranda stared at it.

“It’s OK. Hold your arms up,” the lady coaxed.

Amaranda was a little surprised but did as she was told. She gave a little squeal as a cold blast of—something—suddenly shot into her armpit. The lady giggled and Amaranda smiled. That felt good! The lady sprayed the other arm and then down the front of Amaranda’s hot body. A lovely, floral smell filled the air.

“I’ll bet that feels better.” The lady smiled as she replaced the bottle on the shelf, “Now let’s see…”

She rummaged through the dresses and picked one out.

“This looks more like it,” she said, and helped Amaranda into it.

The fabric was beautifully soft against her skin and the garment glided on effortlessly. There was a sort of hole in one side with a cold metal thing that the lady pulled up and it fastened the dress. Amaranda remembered seeing those fastenings on the men’s trousers.

“There, what do you think?” The lady smiled proudly as she urged Amaranda to look in the mirror. She was stunned at her own reflection. She looked pretty.

“But I looked so…” Amaranda gaped. Her hands went to her hips.

“No one looks good in clothes which are the wrong size,” the lady assured her. “You look lovely in that.”

  “Thank you,” said Amaranda.

“Do you want to wear it now?” the woman asked kindly as Amaranda picked up the shirt and scarf.

  She nodded.

“I’ll get you a bag for those.” She turned back just before she opened the curtain. “How about some shoes to go with it?”

  “Yes please.”

“Come through and you can try some on,” the lady said, smiling to her.

Eban met them with a broad smile across his handsome face.

“You look so beautiful,” he told her.

“Thank you.” Amaranda felt her mood lifting.

“I was just going to show the young lady some shoes to go with it, sir,” the lady told him as she went to hang up the other dresses.

  “Great.” Eban nodded.

The lady led them to the several racks of shoes that stood toward the back of the shop. There was a vast array of colors and styles, more than Amaranda had ever seen before. Bare feet were the norm on Refrainia.

“I suggest something flat and comfortable,” the lady said and picked out a couple of pairs for Amaranda to try.

Amaranda stared. She had never worn shoes before. The lady urged her to sit on a soft padded chair and took some wet wipes to her feet.

“This should cool you down a little,” she said as she soothed her grubby toes.

“That feels lovely,” Amaranda said, smiling. The relief on her sore feet was exquisite and their coolness made her feel much more comfortable.

Then the lady took one of the shoes and tried it onto the young girl’s foot.

“Hmm, a bit loose, I think,” she said, examining it, and tried another.

This one felt very soft against the fragile skin of her feet, and Amaranda smiled. She tried on the other and walked around the shop looking at herself in the mirror. The shoes were a neutral, beige color, flat with a rounded toe. They looked very dainty with her pretty dress. She walked back to Eban and the lady who were now at the till. Eban had paid the lady and took the bag from her with the shirt and scarf inside.

“Thank you so much,” Amaranda said, beaming at the kind lady.

“You’re most welcome, dear,” she said, smiling back.

“Thank you,” Amaranda said to Eban when they’d left the shop and stopped to give him a big hug.

“That’s OK, sweetheart.” Eban smiled at her. “You look so gorgeous. When we get settled on Westland I’m going to buy you a whole wardrobe full of pretty dresses.”

Amaranda felt much more confident walking through the crowds to get to the train station in the middle of the town. She wasn’t aware of any more odd looks from passersby, and she felt much happier. Her earlier mood had lifted and she looked around at the shops and houses with renewed delight. It was still very strange to her to see cars and trucks on the roads, and Eban showed her the safest places to cross, and the sidewalks to walk on to keep away from vehicles.

By the time they reached the station, her mood was much brighter. They walked into the massive brick building and Eban bought their tickets from a machine. Other machines had pre-packed food and bottles of clear and colored liquid for sale. Eban put some money in a slot and selected some sandwiches, crisps, and bottles of water for their journey. They had already packed some fruit and griddle scones but it would be a long time until they had a proper meal.

The large platform they had to wait on was narrow and there was another opposite, with a gap in the middle, which fell away sharply. Eban explained that it was dangerous to step into the gap, as there were electrified tracks on the ground that could kill a person. There were electrical cables high above the tracks, too. Amaranda had been told a little about electricity and didn’t like the sound of it. Suddenly a long train whizzed down the line and pulled to an abrupt halt in front of them. A loud whooshing noise followed by the screech of brakes made her jump. The doors opened and lots of people stepped out onto the platform. Amaranda grabbed hold of Eban’s arm and buried her face in his shoulder. This was a lot more frightening than she had expected.

  Chapter 4

Eban practically peeled Amaranda from his body and helped her onto the train. The carriages were filling up fast, so he grabbed the first couple of seats he could find and sat her down. He placed their shopper into the hessian bag and stowed it on a shelf above them
before sitting next to her.

Her eyes were wide, staring out of the window. He knew she would be nervous about the number of people walking past them to find seats in the various carriages, so she was obviously trying to take her mind off them. He put a comforting arm around her shoulder and held her hand in his other. She was shaking. They knew it would all be very daunting for the young girl, having spent her whole life on a small island with no technology, and he had tried to prepare her for it. He had failed. She was terrified.

“There might be a little jerk when the train starts up,” he told her as he stroked her glossy, dark-brown curls over her shoulders.

“OK.” She nodded nervously and he felt her body tense up even more as she braced herself.

“You’ll be able to see all sorts of sights whizzing by,” he said, trying to make it sound like fun. “You’ll be amazed at how fast we go. We’ll be at the other side of the mainland tomorrow, and then we can take a ship over to Westland. Depending on the tide we could reach home tomorrow night.”

The train jerked slightly as they set off. The engine was much quieter from inside and they were just aware of the pitch getting higher and higher as they sped up, before it settled into a comfortable background hum.

Eban felt Amaranda physically relax in his arms. She was watching the buildings and trees fly by them as they sped through towns and out into open fields. He guessed that she would be relieved to see the countryside, as it was more like the island she was used to.

“I live in a small village with fields all around,” he assured her, “the town isn’t too far away but you can’t hear any of the noises from our house.”

  She nodded gratefully.

“How long will we live with your parents?”

He had been thinking about this ever since he had fallen in love with her. Amaranda had her own little hut on the island and wasn’t used to having people around all the time. Along with all the other changes she was going to have to contend with, living with his parents might prove very difficult for her. Besides, he would rather have her all to himself.
