Every stroke of his momentarily reminded me of my two previous uneventful lovers. I didn’t have to tell him what I wanted, how I liked to be caressed. Travelling upwards, he ran his callous fingers between my shoulder blades, down to the small of my back, up and down, light and rough.
He was right; I missed him already and I wouldn’t have been able to get ahold of him. From day one, he tested my resolve. I knew that his eyes swept over my body, appraising me.
I pursed my lips together and blew the strands of my hair that brushed against my face. “You are one arrogant son of a bitch!”
CHAPTER 8
Mateja moved his hands around my lower stomach. “Rebecca.” His thumbs pressed against the dimples in the small of my back. The rest of his fingers kept my hips from moving. “I am not arrogant. I am just right.” Laughing huskily, he resumed, “Most of my focus was off during my meeting. All I can think about was when I could taste you again.”
I pulled away from him, trying to get a handle on my emotions. “Life is about taking one mind-fuck at a time and knowing what to do with it. I chose to leave.”
“Rebecca, I wasn’t trying to be cryptic with you.”
“Yeah, right! Mateja. What is it that you’re trying to do here? Holding me like I am dear to you while being evasive just the same?”
“You’re saying that you didn’t want to see me again?”
“Are you going to keep answering a question with a question?” Frustrated, I threw my hands in the air. Despite my misgivings, I couldn’t leave him after he held me. Logically, my mind told me run out of the room, go home, talk with my brother, and pig out on something starchy, and preferably sweet. “I just upset someone who loves me, faults and all, a brother, who you recognize cares for me. I can’t stand to look myself in the mirror after the way he looked at me. I don’t know what you’re angle is, but I can’t cause him more stress by screwing you again and further disappointing him.”
“I am not trying to compromise the relationship you have with him. I shouldn’t have made it clear that I knew you’re name.” He paused, probably detecting the lightly pleading sound that came out of his mouth. “I brought you here because I’ve been thinking about you, especially after this morning.” The sincerity and torment on his face left me unsettled. He walked towards the table and took a seat.
“So it really bothers you that you’ve thought about me, huh?” I clapped my hands against my thighs and he licked his lips, making me forget what I was going to say to him.
He motioned me to sit across from him. I complied.
He reached over the table, his broad upper body looming over me with sinuous grace, kissing my forehead and then the tip of my nose. Caught aware, I leaned back. In response, he reached even closer and pulled me forward, until my nose came in contact with the smooth and firm tip of his nose. I don’t know how I forgot how long his body was.
“I am bothered, not because it’s you that consumes my thoughts, but because I know you want something from me too...maybe just—“he swirled dramatically over the side of his body and I cliqued my tongue against my teeth—“I didn’t know what I would do if I didn’t see you again. There’s no listing for Rebecca Salins.” I gulped, trying to alleviate the dryness in my throat. He shook his head at me, letting me know that I misunderstood him. “You tried to give the cashier your charge card. I called them to make sure your purchases went to my account when I didn’t see them posted online. They told me your last name”—Drifting his hand upward from my arm, he cupped my chin, grazing his fingernail against my lips. “Why didn’t you give them your address, Rebecca?” He knitted his eyebrows at me in uncertainty, a feeling I am sure that he was uncomfortable having. “Do you have stable housing?”
“Honestly, it slipped my mind.” I sighed, remembering that I was going to call the store when I returned home, but I forgot again. “Why do you care about my housing status?”
“Now, you’re answering my question with a question. It’s a yes or no question, Rebecca.”
“I live with Bray,” I immediately answered.
He exhaled, and he looked at me critically and with playful shrug of his shoulder, he appeared pleased with my living situation. “Good.” His tone became calmer. “Are there limitations to your stay with him?”
“I don’t think so.”
He reclined back into his seat, making me feel abandoned without his touch. “I don’t think so either. Anything in the apartment that needs to be fixed or improved?”
“None. The apartment is in great shape.”
“But if anything, take my number.” He placed his hand over mine on the marble table. “I really care.”
Bristling at his expressed concern, I brought my phone out from the small leather purse Sarah selected for me. Gesturing that I was ready to enter his number into my phone, he recoiled. I felt uncomfortable, wondered if he regretted embracing me, caressing my chin, and admitting that he I was apart of his consciousness.
“Your phone cover,” he screwed his face with displeasure. “It’s atrocious.”
“Yes, I know.” He gave me his phone number. “I’ll think about it.”
“That’s your problem. You keep making assumptions about me.” His eyes flashed to match the intensity of his flared nostrils. “I wasn’t asking.” I cleared my throat, transfixed by his dark brown eyes and his fervor. Finally, I believed that he cared about me—to some extent and I cared about him as well, but I wasn’t sure why. Momentarily, I thought about Toby. I liked him, but I never wanted to serve him intimately the way I wanted to serve Mateja, in any way he wanted.
“You need something. You’re in danger. You call me. I don’t want you to discount the value of your needs being met. Don’t discount my needs being met either.”
He stood up, took my hands in his, and brought me to sit on his lap. Any semblance of control and clarity that I held since the moment I entered the sitting room dissipated when I sat on his thigh. Placing his hands on the handles of his chair, I shifted onto the side, trying to find a way to sit where my groin wasn’t planted so deep onto his lap. But his glare never wavered, even while I struggled not to touch him or gawk at him. I tried to show him that I could mirror his stoicism.
“I’ll call you when I need you.”
“Or?”
“Or text.”
“You feeling alright…your pussy…your breasts?” He asked in a monotone.
I blushed and instinctively, I brought my head down. “My body is a little sore,” I admitted.
He frowned and brushed his knuckles under my chin. It was affectionate, but there was a mild threat in his touch, ensuring that I spoke with him honestly.
At his steady stare, I willed myself to ignore the flutter in my belly. “Was it too much for you?”
“No. I felt some pain, it felt more good than bad, though.” I clamped my eyes shut as his erection prodded against my thigh.
Refusing to acknowledge his rigid penis, he smiled at me. “Good. I need your honesty.”
“But-“
His grip on my hands tightened. “But what?”
“What I mean is, where is this headed?”
“We’ll schedule a date where we can become acquainted with each other.”
I told him that I agreed and at some point I began to gyrate. A murmur escaped my lips and I was soaking wet. Any other time, I would’ve been mortified and ashamed of myself, would have brought my lust to a close. I couldn’t let the sensations that developed through my body to end or the comfort I found in our contact.
As he brought his head to the crook of my neck, he dampened my neck from his panting. With the palm of hand, he feathered his fingers on the lips of my sex. The air in the room felt denser, like we were in a room without any circulation, without the window cracked open. He pinched my nub to the point that I wailed, not recognizing the sound of my voice. He delved inside me.
“There you go, Rebecca,” he encouraged. “You should always where a skirt…” he panted ha
rshly and licked a side of my neck. His warm breath tickled my shoulder. He sucked in a breath, “give me access to you; your pussy is screaming for my hand.”
As I rubbed against his hard cock, I came. He lubricated my cleft with one strong brush of his fingers. I eyed him. His piercing stare was another trigger to put me over the edge.
“Damn,” I moaned. “Your pants all are wet and you haven’t gotten off!” I said petulantly, causing him to laugh quietly. I parted my lips to breath but his warm mouth cut me off, invading me with his memorable tongue. Retreating from me, he brushed my lips with his. Lightly kissing the side of my face, he nibbled on my ear and my nipples strained through through my blouse. I increased my grinding.
Stilling my hips, he ruggedly ordered me to stop. The tips of his fingers cut into my sides.
“I will fuck you ‘till the lobby quiets. I am just holding you over. This room isn’t sound proof.” I pouted at his words, at the grave expression on his delectable face, at his manhood pressing forward against his pants even more. Obviously, not every part of him was in agreement.
Mateja pulled my head onto his chest and carried both of my legs in his arms. With his hands, he reached between my thighs, pulled down my wet panty and placed it inside the pocket of his blazer.
Quirking my eyebrow at Mateja, I knelt down before his reflexes enabled him to control me and I opened his legs wider, letting his body communicate for him. At his hesitance, I grounded my hands on his rigid thighs. I knew that he could easily over power me. Searching my face for a millisecond, he saw that I wasn’t going to change my mind. Dragging me out of the room or pulling me out, I wanted to feed him in my mouth again.
“You have no idea how much I want you to suck me off.” Mateja’s lips tightened and he closed his eyes. He opened them, examining me with ease. “And now you will.” The look of triumph on his face made me feel victorious, better than the image of euphoria my roommate achieved from her most potent carnal highs.
I opened his zipper. Mateja moved forward into the seat, granting me easier access to him. The vibe between us was more intense and his beautiful cock sprang straight out. He probably thought about me blowing him the minute we got into the sitting room, maybe even before then. He pushed his pants down to his ankles in lightning speed.
With his chin firmed, he tugged at my nape. Pushing my tongue at the roof of my mouth, I encircled the base and his grip became more demanding. Slowly licking the thick veins and suctioning his head, he soughed and patted the top of my head.
“Keep your eyes on me and don’t stop blowing me.” The order came out harsh while the small smile that graced his face revealed his warmth.
Nodding at him, I drew him in farther, and I swirled my tongue along the top of his groin, realizing that he was thicker and longer than earlier today. I pressed my nails into his thigh and he pinched the back of my neck.
Satisfied that he completely let go by the impatient look on his face, I readied myself. Mateja started to thrust inside my mouth. Just as I was bobbing my head faster and he pushed my head to take him in to the root, I touched his sack. Grabbing my hand away, he brought it back to his upper thigh. It didn’t interfere with my ministrations. I mewled at him twitching at the opening of my throat.
Between rubbing and scratching his thighs during my tongue fest, I felt a thin sheet of sweat on my face and neck. He lifted my hair, holding it at the base of my head. As if I was giving him a reprieve, I licked the tip of his penis, trailing underneath him to his perineum. At the same time, I lightly touched his shaft.
Mateja’s eyes widened in shock. “Urrrghhh …feels so fucking perfect.” He slapped my hands. And I returned to lubricating him with my mouth. He cried above me and no longer had eye contact with me. Unable to look at him anymore either, I devoured him. After giving his testicles some swift suckling, I sealed his rim with the pucker of my mouth.
“My unsuspecting temptress,” he said in an undertone and he wiped the moisture from my forehead and some semen came out. Pumping him, shivers of pleasure rippled through my body. Almost banging his head against his seat, he bit on his lower lip; the feral expression and vibrations coming from his throat were intoxicating. For a moment, I wanted to never see him calm, cool, or collected again. The friction of him flexing his hips as he pushed in and out of my hand, ejaculating rapidly was heady. Mateja was a passionately virile man and I got the best rush from it.
Taking handkerchiefs from the inside pocket of his blazer, his gaze returned to me. I slumped myself, feeling like I ran a marathon. I kissed his inner thighs and caressed his semi-erect cock. I enjoyed the feeling of his courser hair brushing my chin. I imagined his facial stubble would feel the same way.
“Do you feel good?”
Grinning at me, temporary laugh lines fanned out on the edges of his lips. He slapped his thighs, still trying to control his breathing. “I feel more than good, Rebecca.” He ran his fingers on the side of my face. I couldn’t help but shyly smirk at him. Me? A temptress. It was like I never had sex in my life and didn’t know how to act when I finally had sex.
Ignoring my aching vagina, I admitted, “I can’t get enough of you.” I cringed at the vulnerability of my own words. Mateja’s manner didn’t change, but I knew that he had many thoughts. I wondered if they were more positive than negative, and if his supposed willingness to meet my needs whenever I wanted was no longer on the table.
“Rebecca,” he said in a staccato and trailed back to my hands slowly. “You can be so sweet. You really cared about getting me off, didn’t you?”
“Of course I did Mateja.” I placed my hand on my hips, even though I should’ve kept my hands on the floor to steady myself.
A stretch of silence fell into the room. The flickering light seemed to bring a perplexed expression on his face. He put his boxers and slacks back on. I was surprised none of his semen stained them. And then I remembered that he was louder than me, much louder than he probably would have liked.
My skirt wasn’t wrinkled. A few buttons on my blouse were loose and I had to push my breast back into my bra. Other than that, I looked almost the same way I did when I came into the sitting room. Mateja went to the window and opened it wider, a shoosh of air came in, chilling my skin. I felt melancholy. My pleasure and satisfaction began to subside. Now Mateja was the one leaning his back against a wall, appearing to be cornered.
“Not every sexual participant truly cares about making the other person experience ecstasy.” He shook his head. “You don’t just give great sex, Rebecca.” He ran his hand over his forehead and he looked at his almost flawless marble floor, the only thing that stood out in the modest room. Fear skittered up my spine. My arousal was gone. “You’ll be a wonderful lover. You better make sure the guy deserves you.” He shot me a cursory glare. When he was in front of me again, he dampened one of his handkerchiefs with his water bottle, cleaned my face, my neck, and between my legs gently with his deft hands. He didn’t rush. It was sweet and I hated that I felt emotional about it. There was nothing sweet about the expression on his face, the absence of familiarity between us, this moment.
After a careful knock on the door, one of the guards popped his head in. If he was aware that anything physically intimate transpired, he showed no indication of it. However, I knew that he wasn’t a dummy.
“The lady’s brother demands to see her now.” My back faced the guard and I didn’t have the courage to look at him again, to know if I could read a look of pity on his face or apathy, like this was a run of the mill situation. Mateja walked ahead of me towards his bodyguard.
CHAPTER 9
On the train ride back to our apartment, Brayden didn’t speak to me, not so much as glanced in my direction. The silence grated on my nerves. Surely he was entitled to feel anyway he wanted to towards me. However, I felt like he was trying to punish me, more than he might have been ruminating about my decision-making.
Even worse, stress lines bracketed over his forehead and his cheekbones. Afte
r Mateja changed into a pair of the same pants, which was smoothly provided to him by one of his guards, he thanked Brayden for his patience. My brother wasn’t appeased by Mateja’s words. When I turned to look back as we exited, Mateja and his men were undetectable in the crowd once more.
What was it about him that made me lose the ability to think in black and white? Good sense would’ve led me to return every item of clothing he paid for, or made installments to pay him back. More so, good sense would have led me to permanently part ways with him today. When we got into the apartment, Brayden stood in front of the window in the kitchen, frozen, and he remained quiet.
I took a seat, waiting for him like he did for me many times since I started living with him. For twenty long minutes, he hadn’t noticeably moved an inch, or uttered a word.
