Cal turned the phone toward him so he could read the end of the message.
Why didn’t you tell me Owen had a hot single friend?
“Is she talking about Mario?”
“This should be fun.” Cal chuckled. “Ready?”
It was such a simple question for a major turning point, but Owen had an equally simple answer. “Yes. Some things you can’t predict, but when that happens—”
