  Darlin!

“So, it’s all my fault then? As if it’s the first time a girl has had a crush on her teacher? My parents wouldn’t care so that’s a really dumb reason to avoid them.”

“That’s true, it’s not the first time a student has liked a teacher. But I don’t think they would appreciate your feelings being reciprocated and for some damn reason I don’t hide my emotions well around you, especially when you look at me like that all the damn time.” He put his hand on my thigh and my eyes darted down to look at it against my pale skin.

He was trying to get a rise out of me, and all I could do was clench my jaw to remain calm.

I bit my lip hard as his thumb made soft circles on the inside of my thigh.

“You make me angry and confused,” he said, and I finally looked up at him again. “And then last night...” He looked embarrassed as he looked down at his hand and pulled it away and avoided eye contact like he didn’t realize what he had been doing. “I have no idea why I’m doing the things I’m doing, but I need to stop.”

That was a confession of sorts and I’d take what I could get.

I leaned towards him in anticipation of his next words, but he used his pointer finger to push my face away.

“Hell no woman, you keep that pretty face away from mine. I never said I was going to act on anything, I’ve already made too many mistakes where you are concerned.” I stuck my bottom lip out in a pout before I thought about how childish I must look. “Don’t do that!” he exclaimed, as he stood up and backed away from me. “I’ll kick you out if you do stuff like that.”

Said the guy that had been stroking my thigh like it was no big thing.

“Okay so you’re a tease! You’re a grown man and what you did last night was a tease, because you're denying me the very next day.”

He pulled out the pizza and set out another plate in front of me. “You started it,” he said, as he transferred two big slices of pepperoni and olive pizza to my plate. “You told me to be a man and admit it, so I did. But I still have a chance to handle the situation better from here on out.”

“Oh, how mature of you,” I huffed, and then I stuffed my face with pizza once the offending olives were off. “Tossing me on your bed just to see how jealous I can get, and then pulling our legs together so you can fondle my thigh is handling it really well.”

“Hey, upstairs was all in good fun, as for the rest I wanted to enjoy one moment okay.” He reached over and grabbed the olives I had picked off my pizza and tossed them into his mouth. “For the record, Red and I have never been like that. She’s a good friend though.”

That was good news but then what kind of girls had he dated? Mature ones no doubt, maybe other teachers.

“Why are you telling me that?” I asked.

“I don’t know, I guess I just don’t want you to think I’m fucking her.”

“Well according to you, what you have going on is none of my business so it shouldn’t matter either way Mr. Tanaka,” I said.

My cheeks were warm, and I felt flustered over his language, to hear him talking about fucking someone, it just wasn’t something I was prepared for. Just like seeing him stroke himself. Suddenly my face felt like it was lit on fire, my cheeks were burning, and my stomach felt tight.

He smiled at me like he always did when I was frustrated and said, “Call me Sora when we aren’t at school.”

Back and forth, back, and forth, he pulled and pushed me.

He was so in denial it was annoying; he was making me work too damn hard. Especially when he had become increasingly more inappropriate with me while he still clung onto his belief that he wouldn’t give in completely.

“Are you making me leave after I finish this Mr. Tanaka?” I asked, in between bites, ignoring what he had just asked of me.

  “Yup.” He smiled.

My phone rang from inside my bra where I had shoved it since I was wearing a dress that had no pockets. I pulled it out and he pretended to find something interesting on his ceiling after he looked at my cleavage as I answered my call.

  “Hello dear.”

  “Tonight?”

“Yeah, I’m free, come pick me up.”

  “Okay see you soon.”

I hung up the call and finished my pizza in a hurry then I took my plate to his sink and washed it. “Thanks for the dinner date,” I said.

He reached around me and dropped his plate in the sink and didn’t step away before he said, “It wasn’t a date.”

“Semantics.” I tipped my head back to try and see him.

As if on cue he looked down at my mouth for the briefest moment and I smiled as I turned around to face him.

He reached out, caressed my cheek softly with his thumb as he stepped closer and his body pressed against mine. His eyelids lowered and I swear my heart stopped beating because I thought for sure that he would kiss me.

But he stopped just before his mouth touched mine and whispered against it. “It wasn’t a date, and this is as close as we get. Get used to it.”

After he issued his empty threat, he stepped away quickly and busied himself with throwing away our cans and cleaning his plate.

He really was a tease, but eventually he would take it too far because he was the one playing a dangerous game.

“You watched me undress and in turn stripped for me. You carried me to your bed in your underwear just to get a rise out of me, cooked me dinner and then attempted to control what’s happening but you’re a little too late don’t cha think? Not to mention every little thing that’s happened before the last twenty-four hours. And you wouldn’t have done those things if I was anyone else.” I threw up my fists and took a fighting stance. “Fight me boy.”

“First of all, I was going upstairs to put pants on since I didn’t have a chance when I realized it was you at my backdoor and I didn’t want you to be seen standing out there. But then you revealed your motives for coming here and I couldn’t help myself. As for the rest, I made mistakes Kyla. It happens all the time, the world is an imperfect place.”

“Whatever you say. I don’t have time for this I’m going out, thanks for dinner sexy.”

“You’re welcome brat, have fun with Amber.” He didn’t turn around from the sink, so I flipped his back off to make myself feel better.

“Thanks, but she’s not ready to go out yet.”

He turned around then and dried his hands off on a towel and leaned against the sink. “Who are you going out with?”

  “Philip,” I said.

His eyes flew down to my cleavage that had been meant to tempt him and then to my bared legs with a frown. I planned on changing but he didn’t need to know that. “Are you going on a date with him?”

“I’m not sure that’s any of your business Mr. Tanaka.” I watched his jaw clench and that tiny flare of anger light his eyes that I was growing to love. “How inappropriate,” I mumbled under my breath.

He smiled but it was strained and awkward as he walked over to his backdoor and opened it for me.

I walked through and didn’t stop to say anything more. He was mad and he could stew in it for the rest of the night for all I cared.

Because of how he had acted I decided not to change my clothes just to spite him, so I went directly to the sidewalk in front of my house.

I stood there while I waited for Philip to pick me up, and when I got in his truck, I didn’t spare one glance towards Sora’s house even though I had a feeling he had been watching me while I waited outside.

  Chapter 18

  Sora

I watched her as she waited outside for her ride to make sure she was okay because it was dark. I tried to pull away, but she brought out something in me, something predatory in nature, and it made me want to conquer her. I wanted to make her mine, worship her, and the fact that I couldn’t was driving me crazy.

I often allowed myself to wonder why I couldn’t, why couldn’t I just take her and say fuck the world?

  But then I’m
quickly reminded of one word: Ethics.

Even after she wasn’t in my class anymore it wouldn’t be allowed, but she was an adult and I really wasn’t much older than her.

So, it was ridiculous I reasoned, rules were worth breaking sometimes and I knew sooner rather than later I was going to break all of them for her anyways.

I had never been the jealous type before and it struck me that I was jealous over a girl that wasn’t even mine.

But that day she kissed that punk on the cheek I had been fuming inside, and naturally I took it out on her. I always blamed her in the end like she was some seductress trying to ruin me, when in truth she was a gorgeous woman that made my heart race by just being her.

She challenged who I thought I was, as I was doing and saying things, I thought were beyond me.

She meant something to me already.

I watched her fidget outside in her short dress and red fuck me pumps with an ache in my stomach. I didn’t want her to go with him dressed like that but even if we were dating, I wouldn’t stop her. I didn’t fall for that crap that suggested women were asking for it when they dressed like that, but I knew men and whether they should or not, they’d take one look at her and want to eat her up like I did. And for some reason that was reason enough for men to think they deserved a piece.

Ten minutes later she was picked up by a beat up, old blue truck that obviously belonged to Philip.

I tried to distract myself by cleaning up my living room, and afterwards I did my best not to count the hours she was gone but it didn’t work out well.

I paced my living room and checked outside obsessively until finally I stopped as I realized that I was acting foolishly.

She was a teenage girl out with her friend on a Saturday night, and I was her teacher that had no business waiting up for her. I didn’t need the assurance that she was home, I didn’t need to look at her and make sure she looked unharmed, because it wasn’t my business.

Instead, I did the sane thing, and I went to bed, granted I lied there and stared at my ceiling, but at least I didn’t act like a psycho, so it was a step up.

That’s until my phone rang at exactly 1:24 am in the morning.

I didn’t recognize the number and normally I wouldn’t have answered but it was late, and someone could have been in trouble.

“Hello?” I waited a moment and all I could hear was loud music and shouting people in the background. “Hello, who is this?”

“Okay so I was thinking, hold on- hey can you not step on my toe mouth breather- alright…So-”

  It was Kyla.

“How did you get my number?” I asked, I couldn’t give her a chance to go on with whatever nonsense was about to spill from her mouth.

“Huh, what? Asss if that matters right now you little nutball!” She slurred a few of her words as she spoke, and it sounded sort of adorable.

“Kyla…” I said, as I tried to sound as stern as I could, even though that never worked on her.

“Look here buddy I can’t give away all my secretsss, but listen I was thinking-”

She dropped her sentence and for a second, I thought the call had dropped so I looked at my screen but saw that we were still connected.

“Are you drunk? You’re slurring your words.”

“Oh my, do you ever shut up? Quit interrupting and let me speak stupid boy!” I said nothing and waited for her to continue. “Now. I was thinking you should be a doll and do me a favor. I figure you owe me since you humiliated me and kicked me out of your house earlier and simultaneously made me drink more than I usually do.”

“Do not blame me for your bad choices, you are in control of yourself,” I said.

“I was in control.” She snickered into the phone. “But not so much any longer. Just pick me up pretty please?”

I wanted to but I couldn’t. “Why can’t you call your parents like normal?”

“Look out your window pal, there’s probably a car in my driveway you don’t recognize. My parents had their friends over and they all got super drunk. And here's the thing, they thought I was with Amber and that I was going to her house but Amber didn’t answer my call and I don’t want to bug her since she’s having a hard time, so I texted her and let her know I’d be fine if she woke up and saw I called. And thennnn Mister Philip pants over here got drunk as a skunk and he can’t take me home.”

“Alright fair enough but I’d rather not get caught doing something like that so can’t you figure something else out?” I asked.

She sighed into the mic before she said, “Look it’s not a crime to give your neighbor a ride and a couch to crash on. You make things so much worse than they are.”

“Still, I can’t Kyla, please find another ride.”

She paused again and I waited impatiently because the way she was acting made me nervous.

“Hey, what? Another shot? Okay thank you, cheers!”

I heard two glasses clink together and sighed beside myself with frustration for her.

“Don’t you think you should stop drinking and focus on getting home?” I asked, my tone making it clear that I was not happy with her.

“Fine. You know what, Philip is going to crash in his truck, so I’ll suck it up and do the same.”

She was going to sleep next to Philip?

  Not bloody likely.

That was enough to make me forget all about my hesitation.

“No, I’ll pick you up. Where are you?” I asked.

“What the hell? Why did you change your mind so suddenly? Why are you always giving me whiplash? I’m suing.”

I smiled to myself but the irritation in my voice was still there. “Where are you?”

“All about the business I see. I am at the old barn by the lake, I’ll meet you down by the gate,” she said.

  “Okay be there in fifteen.”

It took me fifteen minutes to dress, get gas and get to her like I thought it would and that fifteen minutes was hell. A lot can happen when you are drunk in that time, I was genuinely worried because someone was still feeding her shots.

She didn’t sound too far gone as her sentences were still coherent, but she slurred her words here and there.

I pulled onto the long dirt driveway surrounded by trees that led to the old barn on the lake where the kids somehow got away with partying at every weekend.

It surprised me to see it going on and never getting busted. It must have been a tradition, the place where the youth of the town had partied for generations, so no one did anything about it. Small towns operated on a whole other level.

I was frustrated with myself for being back and forth with her, I told myself to keep the distance between us but then the second she suggested sleeping with Philip in his truck, and it was an instant no for me. Not happening.

I stopped down the road a bit from the gate because I didn’t want to be seen and put my car in park.

I stepped out and approached her slowly, she was sitting on the iron gate that blocked the entrance to the barn.

Her back was to me, she looked magical with her purple hair reaching down her back as it glowed in the pale moonlight.

She was staring up at the sky as she reached her hand towards the moon with her palm out like she could hold it in her hands.

I stopped just shy of her and she still didn’t notice me, so I watched her.

She sighed after a few moments and dropped her hand as she pulled out her phone with the other to check the time before she shoved it back into her purse.

“Stupid no good sexy man, of course he’s late,” she mumbled to herself, and her words were even more slurred than before which didn’t sit well with me.

I should have told her to wait up at the barn because it wasn’t safe no matter her level of intoxication.

  I was an idiot.

“But at least I’m sexy right?” I asked, which made her jump and start to slide backwards.

Her back slammed into my chest and I wrapped my arms around her to keep
her steady, as she tilted her head back against my chest until she was looking up into my face.

“I think I hate you Sora,” she said, with an adorable pout on her face before she pushed herself back up and hopped off the gate and almost fell again when her ankle rolled.

“Woah, slow down sweetheart before you eat shit.” I grabbed onto her arm and she swatted me away but when she tried to walk again it was clear she was getting nowhere, so I scooped her up and carried her to my car.

She took the opportunity to bury her nose in my shirt and I wasn’t surprised when she inhaled deeply. “You smell so delicious.”

“So do you,” I admitted, lilies and vodka was a lethal, intoxicating smell on her.

I tossed her into the back seat and got in the car and headed back towards town.

“You could be a little gentler you know,” she said, “at least while I’m drunk.”

“Does that mean I can be rough with you once you sober up?” I stopped at the end of the dirt road and flipped on the light in the back to find that her cheeks were pink with embarrassment and I couldn’t help but laugh at her. She was too cute.

“Fuck you,” she said, “don’t tease me if you don’t plan on following through.”

I decided it was best if I didn’t say anything, so I drove back to town in silence.

I went to a fast-food burger joint because I had heard her stomach growl before I had turned up the music.

When we got to my house, I pulled my car into the garage so no one would see her coming inside.

I ushered her in and once we were in my living room she immediately fell into a heap on my floor.

I set the food down and walked back over to her.

She had lost her jacket at some point during the night and her heart shaped tube top dress was doing little to cover her tits.

I felt like a monster for looking when she was drunk, but I couldn’t help it, her dress was also riding up so high I could almost see her underwear and her shapely thighs were on full display.

I took a deep breath and pulled her dress down before I pulled her into my arms and carried her to my room.
