Beware of Me
Page 8
“Jax, I have something to tell you.”
He folded the newspaper and put it down. “Do you need something, Dylan?”
I stared into his brown eyes with my hands entangled. I couldn't find the words. Jax waited patiently but I had to say something. “I thought I'd give you a couple weeks off?” I cursed to myself. I didn't mean to say it in the form of a question.
But I was committed now. I cleared my throat. “You deserve some time off after everything you do around here.”
Jax cocked his head to the side. “Are you sure, Dylan?”
I shooed him away. “Go on and have fun. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine.”
Jax shrugged and left.
I wanted to fall to the ground and cry. Why was I such a coward. How could I go on stage in front of thousands and sing my heart out but when it came to Jax, I couldn't say what was in my heart.
I resigned myself back to my bedroom and hid under my covers. The longer I waited to tell him how I felt, the harder it would be. I certainly couldn't tell him after his vacation. Then it would seem like I was forced to tell him.
I had to do it before he left. No matter what.
A squeaky voice came from behind me. “I'm glad we can have some alone time, Dylan.”
I lifted my head from my pillow as I saw my white closet doors open. The man from that night came out.
My “biggest fan.”
I went to scream but he put his hand over my mouth. His other hand was on my back, pushing me into the bed and preventing me from getting up. He was a heavy motherfucker and I was in a weird position
“You didn't treat me very well the last time we saw each other.”
Fear seized me, my pulse was pounding like a hammer in my head. My attacker wouldn't take his hand off my mouth for me to respond.
The look in his eyes told me everything I needed to know. If I didn't come up with something quick, things were going to get really bad really fast.
I stop squirming and started mumbling in his hand. There was only one desperate card I could play.
“If I take my hand off, are you going to yell?” he asked.
I shook my head. Tears were streaming down my cheek.
“I've been wanting to hear how much you loved me for a very long time.” He took his hand off my mouth and put his ear to me.
The smell that came off him was like a dead raccoon and it took all the willpower in the world to keep myself from gagging.
“I have a boyfriend,” I said.
The man recoiled back in horror. “That's not possible. I haven't seen you with another man. I'm your boyfriend.”
“Please, you have to let me go.”
“You're a whore. A stupid little whore. And you need to be beaten like a whore.” The man raised his hand.
I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the impact.
But it never came.
I opened my eyes to see Jax holding the man's arm. The look on Jax's face was pure evil. He was going to kill this man. He flung the attacker across the room like he was a feather and chased after him.
Jax was on him in seconds. His boot connected with the man's stomach and his fist soared through the air and belted against the attacker's face, breaking his glasses.
If I didn't move fast, Jax was going to do something he would regret for the rest of his life. And it was all my fault.
I jumped off the bed and sprinted to him. “Jax, stop!”
He didn't hear me. Nothing would stop this man from taking his revenge.
Chapter Five
I tried pulling on his big arms but nothing was working. He was too strong for me.
One last ditch effort. “Jax, I love you!”
His fists stopped in the air. He turned to face me. His expression of anger slowly faded away. “What?” he asked.
“I love you,” I repeated.
Jax held my hands in his, ignoring the man on the ground. I could feel the blood on his broken knuckles. “Is that how you truly feel?”
I smiled with joy. “100 percent. You're the man for me, Jax.”
He kissed me and all those feelings from the dressing room night came flooding back. It almost made me forget what had just happened. “What do we do about him?”
“He's knocked out. Won't be giving us anymore trouble. I'll call the police and take care of it.” Are you okay?” His hand reached out for me.
“Don't worry about me, Jax. I'm perfectly fine. Just got a little scared is all. I'm glad that you were still here. I thought maybe you had already left.”
“I never left. Every day around you feels like a day off already. There was no reason for me to go.”
“You know just what to say and what to do. I love that about you.”
Jax smiled and took out his cellphone, dialing the police.
I loved Jax.
And he felt the same way about me.
–
After hours of talking to the police, we were finally done with it. My new stalker was going to go away for a very long time. But that man was far from my mind. With Jax around, I had no reason to feel afraid.
My protector was always there for me.
We ended up back in my room. A nightstand and lamp had been knocked over in the scuffle. Jax put it all back together while I watched.
“We're not going to be able to hide from this anymore,” he said, making sure the lamp turned on and off.
“I don't want to hide anymore. I want to be with you and I don't give a fuck who knows.”
Jax took me in his strong arms, the place I felt the most safe. “I love you, Dylan. I'd do anything for you.”
A rush of happiness came over me. “I love you too, Jax.”
We were undressed in a flash and under the covers in my bed. His lips found mine in the darkness, his tongue feeling me out.
I reached down and grabbed his erection, stroking him from tip all the way down to his base. My fingers could barely wrap around him he was so thick. I don't know how I ever fit him inside me before. He seemed even bigger than last time if that was even possible.
“These past few months have been hell for me,” he whispered. “Being so close to you and not being able to touch this soft skin.” His finger trailed down the side of stomach and over my hips. “Not being able feel how much you want me.”
Jax found my hard dick and my body reacted instantly, convulsing from the sudden surge of pleasure. He rubbed me, watching me enjoy myself. “You're ready for me.”
I couldn't be more turned on. “I'm always ready for you,” I breathed.
Jax whipped the covers off us and our naked bodies were exposed now. He got up off the bed and brought my body to the edge. He was so strong he could pick me up with just one hand. He put me on my stomach and then gripped my hips, bringing my fine ass to him.
I was on my hands and knees, his pulsing member sitting nicely between my cheeks. I rocked my hips up and down against him.
Jax swung his head back and moaned. “You have no idea what you do to me, Dylan.”
His blunt tip teased my tight opening, driving me wild. “If you don't fuck me right this second, Jax, I'm going to go insane.”
Jax took that as an order and buried his cock deep into me. My ass expanded to the limit, taking in his entire length. I clenched around him as Jax crashed against me, his hardness reaching even further depths.
I came over and over again, each orgasm bigger than the next. Jax showed me what true love really was.
When he was finished with me, we both lay on the bed, our naked bodies wrapped together. I never wanted to leave.
“So are we together now?” Jax asked, holding me in his arms.
“I don't see how we can't be now.”
Jax held me closer and kissed me.
I was Jax's now and he was mine.

Description
Charlie spent a forbidden summer with the man he's been obsessed with for years.
He knew it could never last.
Matthew wasn't ready for a man like him. He thought he had everything figured out.
Chapter One
For this summer from college, my parents thought it would be a great idea for me to spend some months with my stepbrother, Matthew.
There were two problems with this.
One: Matthew lived in the middle of nowhere in a cabin. That meant no electricity and no internet. Trying to survive without that for the whole summer was going to be brutal.
The second problem: I had the biggest obsession with Matthew.
I thought that when he moved away that these forbidden feelings would go away.
They didn't.
I thought that once I went away to college and met other men that Matthew would fade away into the background.
He didn't.
Matthew had always been at the forefront of my mind. No other man stacked up to him. His intelligence, his body, his kindness. How could I ever be expected to find another man like that.
I can tell you that college was definitely not that place.
The road trip through the woods was spooky and beautiful at the same time. The sun was setting but the tree canopy kept most of the light out. I had to turn on my headlights to keep from driving off the road.
I checked my gps on my phone to figure out where I was and the map was taking forever to load. I looked at reception and saw that I was getting zero bars.
I pulled the car over the side of the road and cursed. No phone for months would be the worst possible kind of torture.
What did my parents expect me to do the entire time? I didn't even bring a book with me.
I pulled out the handwritten directions from my pocket that my mom had done for me.
Make your first right at the bridge covered in graffiti. I would've remembered if I came across that.
I turned the car on and began driving again. I rolled down the window and took in the mountain air. Being in the city most of my life, I never got to experience fresh air.
The graffiti bridge showed up on the horizon. Vines had overgrown around the stone structure. A wide riverbed was underneath that barely carried any water. My car probably could've made it through that without the bridge.
I looked for any signs to indicate where I was supposed to turn and realized that there wouldn't be. Matthew's place wasn't on a main road.
There was a dirt path off to the side that looked like I could drive down it. “I hope this is it,” I said out loud.
My car bounced around and the steering wheel vibrated in my hands. Every rock and bump could be felt. I was getting closer to the mountain and the elevation was increasing.
I coasted through the forest at a slow speed and checked the directions again:
Go four miles and watch out for the fallen tree log that blocks the path. Make a left here and the cabin will be a mile ahead.
I drove a little slower once I realized there would be a tree log coming up. I'm glad I read that sooner rather than later.
When I came to the massive rotten tree, I realized that there was no way I could miss it unless I was driving without my headlights on.
I turned right and I could see the cabin up head in the distance. Smoke was coming out of a stack. Two large windows flanked the front door. Light was coming from the windows.
Maybe he had electricity?
I hadn't been here in four years since he used to sleep in a tent. He always said he was going to build a house for himself and I couldn't believe he did it.
But if anyone could, it would be Matthew.
The closer I got, the more impressive the wooden cabin was. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It was all one story but had a wraparound deck. The green roof came to a point. It was kinda cute.
The trees gave way and the sun peeked through the clouds
I pulled up and parked next to my stepbrother's old Toyota Camry from 1995. It was the one piece of technology that he couldn't get rid of when he went off the grid.
“You can do this, Charlie. It will only be a couple months. You've lived with him before and resisted him. You can do it again.”
I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car.
Matthew walked out of the front door. “You made it, Charlie.”
I lost all my breath instantly. My memory had done him a disservice. Matthew was a giant mountain man with a red flannel shirt that couldn't hide his shredded muscles. His dark beard was long and his short jet black hair was combed backwards.
I couldn't get a word out. I didn't have a voice anymore.
Matthew came up to me and hugged me hard. My heart began to race. “It's so good to see you.”
This was going to be a lot harder than I thought.
Chapter Two
“Let me help you with your bags. Just pop the trunk,” he said.
I gave him a smile that was way too goofy and opened the driver's side door to open the trunk. I tried to breathe to calm myself down.
Matthew took my two heavy suitcases out of the trunk. “How was the drive?”
I gulped. “I made it thanks to mom's directions.”
Matthew started towards the cabin, lifting the suitcases like they were only gallons of milk. “You haven't seen the place right?”
I followed him and closed my jacket more. I expected it to be hotter in the summer but it was only forty-five degrees out. I climbed the steps behind Matthew and admired the welcome mat on the ground. It said: Fuck off.
That was classic Matthew. Hated everything but if he cared about you, he was a soft teddy bear.
I entered the cabin and was amazed at how spacious it was. The living room had a couch, chair and a fireplace with a fire going. The wood floors creaked as I walked underneath it.
“Wow this place looks incredible,” I said.
Matthew smiled and set down the suitcases. “Thanks. I've been wanting to show it to you for years.”
I felt guilty that I hadn't come earlier. “I'm sorry. I wish I would've visited you sooner.”
Matthew waved me off with his hand. “You were busy with school. It's what you should be doing. Not visiting your crazy stepbrother.”
I playfully slapped him on the arm. It was hard as a rock. “You're not crazy just because you live miles from any other human being. Or maybe all this time in the forest alone has actually made you crazy.”
Matthew shrugged. “I guess you'll find out soon enough.”
Silence followed and I couldn't hold back a laugh anymore. Matthew joined in. He hadn't lost his sense of humor.
“I'll give you the tour and I'll show you to your room,” he said.
“I would love that.”
Matthew opened his arms wide. “This is the living room.”
I walked to the fire and let it warm my backside. A lit lantern stood on a table next to a couch. My hopes sank that there was electricity. I looked up at the ceiling and didn't see any lights. “It's very cozy.”
“That's the word you'll be saying throughout the tour.”
I shook my head. “I meant cozy like friendly and inviting. It's not small at all. A lot bigger than my dorm.”
Matthew pointed behind him. “This is the dining room.” A long rectangular wooden table with four chairs looked like it was handmade.
I ran my fingers over the rough wood. “Did you make this?”
Matthew nodded. “Not very hard to build a table and chairs when you can build a cabin.”
“Well of course,” I replied.
The kitchen was just off the dining room. It was a galley style with a pantry, open shelves for plates and glasses. “Do you not have a fridge?”
Matthew laughed. “Yeah if you d
idn't notice already, there isn't any electricity. I don't even have a generator. So that means no fridge.”
