On the ground a few feet away, Jake and Millie had switched positions, with the young woman now on top. Her urgent movements up and down his cock surprised and thrilled Jake. He had one hand on her left boob and the other on her right butt cheek, in a vain attempt to keep her from bouncing off. During each bounce, she gave a small, “Ugh” sound, and each one was getting louder and louder. Millie finally stopped with an exceptionally loud “Ugh!” and collapsed on Jake‘s chest. Jake came right with her, almost in self-defense, and continued to hold onto Millie as she trembled in his arms. When she calmed down, Millie raised her head off Jake’s chest and smiled at him.
“Thanks for the adventure, Jake,” she said, and kissed him on the lips.
“My pleasure, Miss Millie!”
Millie sat up, with Jake’s cock still inside, “No, sir. That was my pleasure. But it is now time to get back home.” She stood up, letting Jake slip out of her with a sad sigh. She slipped back into her chemise and wrapped her corset around herself.
Penelope was slower to get up, as the realization of what just happened came to her. “What am I going to tell my father? He will disown me!”
Tom stayed on the boulder, looking at the scared woman who seemed completely different from the snobby brat he had taken from the barn dance. “Penelope, you will be fine. Once we explain what happened, your father will be glad you are all right. Jake and I have coats in the wagon, and you can wear them until we get you to the Inn.”
“Are you sure?” Penelope asked, searching for comfort from the man who had taken her virginity.
Tom stood in front of her, still naked, and said, “Yes.”
An hour later, both young women were back at the Inn, with their parents making a fuss over them. They had tried to pay Jake and Tom for saving their daughters, but neither man took the money, saying it was their duty. Millie gave Jake a naughty little wink as her father whisked her away. Penelope was a little more forward, kissing Tom’s cheek and thanking him once again.
As the men walked outside, Jake turned to Tom and said, “Too bad they can’t all be that good, right?”
Tom clapped him on the shoulder, “You’re right boss, but sometimes I like more of a challenge.”
Those words would come back to bite him very soon.
As the stagecoach took the families of Penelope and Millie out of Spur, another wagon brought Elizabeth Mission into the small town. Elizabeth sat confidently at the front of the wagon, directing the horses herself. She stopped right outside Miller’s General Store and walked inside.
Augustus Miller met her at the front counter, “How can I help you today, young miss?”
“My name is Elizabeth Mission, and unless I miss my guess, you are Augustus Miller,” she said with a touch of authority that did not fit her age or size.
Augustus could not hold back his surprise, “You are Miss Mission? I must say I expected someone a bit older.” He looked up and down the small woman, taking in her thin waist, deep black hair, and blue eyes. “You cannot be old enough to teach.”
Elizabeth had heard this before and was prepared, “I assure you I am, Mr. Miller,” she said, handing him a large envelope full of papers, “If you will look at these papers, you will find my teaching certificate, my diploma, and letters of recommendation from the last school I taught at.”
Augustus flipped through the papers quickly, marveling at the degree from Baylor University. The letters of recommendation were filled with flowery phrases of praise, including one that warned not to underestimate Ms. Mission just because she looked so young. The last piece of paper in the envelope was the letter Augustus sent to Elizabeth Mission himself, offering her the job.
“Well, Miss Mission,” Augustus said, handing the envelope back to her, “I must apologize. You are the person I hired, and I am sorry to have doubted you. How was your trip?”
Elizabeth and Augustus spoke for quite some time about the school and the children she would teach. Augustus took her to the school, which included an apartment where Elizabeth would live.
“Mr. Miller, you have constructed a wonderful school and home,” she said while looking around. “I cannot imagine why anyone would want to leave.”
Augustus coughed into his hand and turned a little red, “Well, Ms. Mission, we don’t rightly know why Ms. Williams left. The children came to the school one Monday morning, and her belongings were gone. She left behind a note that only said she felt it prudent for her to leave before real trouble started.”
“That is quite odd. Are there any suspicions as to what happened?”
Augustus became redder, “I am sorry Ms. Mission, but I do not feel comfortable discussing the gossip surrounding Ms. Williams. I will only say that you would do well to watch out for some of the more silver tongued sons of ranchers in Spur.”
That cleared everything up for Elizabeth. She had seen the same thing happen to her own teacher in Waco. Poor Ms. London became enamored with the son of a rancher, who just used her and got her pregnant. The power these ranchers wielded over smaller towns almost made them kings, and their sons often ran wild with no consequences. Elizabeth had vowed long ago not become a victim like Ms. London.
“Thank you for the warning, Mr. Miller. I will take it very seriously,” she said, “but right now, I will need to take my leave so I can get my classroom in order. I will start classes tomorrow morning. Can you get the word out?”
Augustus clapped his hands twice, “I applaud your desire to get started so quickly. I will let the entire town know you are here and ready to further the education of our children. My daughter Constance will be one of your older students, but please do not show her any favoritism. She is smart and a hard worker.”
Elizabeth shook his hand, “You have my word, Constance will be treated just like everyone else.”
True to his word, Augustus Miller told the entire town that the new school teacher had arrived and was ready to begin classes once again. Even Tom and Jake heard about it in the Horseshoe Saloon. Their fathers had pulled them out of school at the age of 14, so they could learn more about ranching and less about the capitals of countries they would never visit. Still, both young men had been back to the school, for other reasons.
“So Ms. Williams’ replacement is here?” Tom mused, “I miss her sometimes.”
Jake laughed, “Me, too. Especially the way she would blush when we would walk into the school house naked.”
“Or how she would blush when we would strip her naked,” Tom added.
Jake said, “Or when she blushed when we would make her cum.”
“Yep,” Tom said, “I miss all of that. Too bad you had to ruin it and get her pregnant.”
Jake punched Tom in the arm, “How do you know it was mine?”
“Because if it had been mine, she would have asked to stay,” Tom said, “but since she left, it is obvious she was ashamed and didn’t want anyone to know she was carrying your bastard.”
Jake punched Tom again, but both men were laughing. “So are we going to pay Ms. Mission a visit?” Jake asked.
Tom pondered the idea for a moment and then spoke, “I have a better idea. Do you want to hold a contest over the new teacher?”
“What do you mean?”
Tom finished his beer, and motioned for another one, “I mean we compete for her hand. We give her a week to get to know our pleasant little town, and then we have a week to get under her skirts. What do you say?”
Jake drained his beer just as the bartender set down two more. He picked up the new one and said, “I like it. A toast then, to completing Miss Mission!”
Tom raised his mug, “To completing Miss Mission!” While they drank and laughed, down at the end of the bar, little Tim Hollow listened in as he mopped up the vomit from another saloon patron. Tim had been sweet on Ms. Williams, because she had tried to help him learn to read, even though the letters always got jumbled in his head. Right then and there, he vowed to warn the new teacher.
Elizabeth considered
her first day of teaching in Spur a complete success. She had set the ground rules and expectations quickly for her students, and they had responded splendidly. As they walked out at the end of the day, most bid her a good day, and she strolled out into the sun with them. Elizabeth quickly noticed a small boy walking towards her.
“Good afternoon, young man,” she greeted him, “if you are coming to class, you are a more than a little late.”
Mary Plunkett was standing next to Elizabeth and spoke up, “Oh Miss Mission, he isn’t a student. That is Tim Hollow. Book learning doesn’t work for him.”
“Pish Tosh, Mary. Education is for everyone, you just have to find the right method,” Elizabeth said.
Tim stopped in front of Elizabeth and said, “No, Ma’am, Mary’s right. I can’t learn nothing. The letters and words don’t behave none for me. I am here though to warn you about something.”
“Really, Mr. Hollow? And what warning is that.”
Tim looked at Mary and said, “I’d rather not say in front of her.”
Mary became shocked, “What? Why not? What is wrong with me?”
“Nothing! I’m sorry, Mary,” Tim said backing away from the girl, “it’s just it has to do with your brother’s friends.”
“Oh, let me guess,” Mary said, “Tom Harper and Jake Terrance have set eyes on Miss Manners, here.”
It was now Elizabeth’s turn to be shocked, “Who are Tom Harper and Jake Terrance? I have not met either of them?”
Tim was feeling way out of his depth with this conversation, but he continued on, “I overheard them last night, talking about Miss Williams, and what they done to her.”
“I knew it was their fault she left!” Mary said, stamping her right foot on the ground.
“Quiet please, Mary,” Elizabeth admonished her, “Tim, please continue.”
Tim swallowed, his eyes shifting between the women, “They…Tom and Jake…decided to …uh…have…a competition…of sorts.”
“What do you mean, Mr. Hollow? What kind of competition?” Elizabeth asked.
“Well, they plan to wait a week while you get settled in, and then they are going to compete to see who can get under your…” Tim paused, realizing what he was about to say, “I mean try to…uh…”
Mary interrupted, “They are going to seduce you, Miss Mission. Right, Tim?”
Tim nodded his head, thankful for Mary’s help. Elizabeth thought about what Mary and Tim had told her, and smiled. “Tim, Mary, thank you for letting me know about this little plan. Forewarned is forearmed as they say. Now I can formulate my defense against them.”
“You are welcome, Ma’am,” Tim said as he turned to walk away. Mary nodded at Elizabeth and also walked away, catching up with Tim quickly.
“Tim, Mary,” Elizabeth called after them, “please do not say anything about this to anyone. I have the element of surprise, and I plan on keeping it.” Both youngsters nodded and kept walking.
“So, I have a couple of would-be-seducers,” Elizabeth said to herself, “that is nice. I will have to come up with something extremely naughty for them.”
Elizabeth spent the rest of the week teaching her new students during the day, and planning her counter attack at night. Growing up in Waco, she knew how to handle herself. Her father taught her how to hunt, track, and skin animals. Her mother had taught her the importance of lulling men into thinking they are in charge, so she can truly run things. She refused to underestimate these two rancher sons, but Elizabeth felt confident about her chances to best them.
On Monday, class started and ended on time. The children all seemed to be settling into the class routine. When the day ended, they all left in a hurry, but Elizabeth stayed inside to give the chalkboard a good scrubbing. When she heard heavy footsteps on the old wooden plank floor, Elizabeth slowly turned around. Just as she expected, it was a young, well-dressed man, with a bunch of flowers in his hand.
“Good afternoon, sir,” Elizabeth said, “how can I help you?”
Jake smiled at the young woman, happy to see her beauty, “Good afternoon to you Miss Mission, I am here to welcome you to Spur with these flowers. I am Jake Terrance, and I hope I am not the first to say hello.”
Elizabeth accepted the flowers and asked, “Thank you Mr. Terrance, these are lovely. No, I have already had a few people welcome me.”
“Glad to hear it,” Jake said, “but please call me Jake. May I call you Elizabeth? Spur is a small town and not very formal.”
Elizabeth sadly shook her head, “I am sorry Mr. Terrance, but I must say no. I have been warned by Mr. Miller that the last school teacher left to avoid some kind of controversy, and that if I am to remain here in Spur, my behavior must remain above reproach. With that in mind, I must remain Ms. Mission to you.”
This news threw Jake a little, unsure of how to respond. So Elizabeth took advantage of the moment, and appeared to throw him a bone.
“If you would like,” she said with a wide smile on her lips, “you can join me for dinner and Bible study at the church this evening. That way we can learn more about each other and God at the same time.”
Jake didn’t know what to say. Bible study was not his speed, but if it got him closer to her, he may have to make the sacrifice.
“That would be wonderful. Would you like me to pick you up, here?” Jake asked.
“No, that won’t be necessary. We can meet there.”
During dinner, Jake tried everything to find a weak spot in Elizabeth’s armor. Instead, he found himself becoming more interested in her as a person. She had an amazing mind, a quick wit, and even made Bible study seem worthwhile. At the end of the evening, he tried to walk her home or kiss her cheek, but again Elizabeth said no. As she walked away, Jake stood mesmerized by her personality as much as her figure. He made his way to the Horseshoe Saloon, where Tom was waiting for an update. After hearing about the whole evening, Tom laughed so hard he almost started to cry.
“She’s about ready to brand you, boy!” Tom yelled, smacking his friend on the back. “In just a few hours Miss Mission has turned a bull into a steer!”
Jake shoved Tom so hard he almost fell off his stool, “Shut up, Tom! Miss Mission is a nice lady, but I will get her to open up, all the way.”
Tom just laughed some more and said, “We’ll see, but tomorrow I have a plan to make her icy, proper exterior melt like butter in a hot pan. Just you watch.”
“What are you going to do?” Jake asked.
Tom said, “I know for a fact that tomorrow Miss Mission must come in town for supplies. When she does, I will be there to save her from a runaway horse.”
Jake scowled at his friend, realizing that idea had merit. Neither of them saw Tim at the end of the bar, also smiling.
After school on Tuesday, Elizabeth walked into town with a list of items she needed. She also had the knowledge of Tom’s plan, thanks to Tim. As she walked, she casually looked around for the set up, keeping a smile on her face. She had asked Mary to describe Tom, and when Elizabeth finally saw him, she realized Mary had not exaggerated. Tom was very handsome and put together with strength. Elizabeth made sure not to let her eyes linger on him, because he was staring back, as if to see inside her soul. Now that she knew his position, leaning on a wooden post outside the barber shop, she searched for the trap. She found a nervous, chubby fellow, about 500 feet down the street from her, holding the reins of a horse. He kept glancing at Tom, obviously waiting for a signal. That must be Arnold, Mary’s brother. They had similar hair, but it was obvious Mary got all the brains. All of a sudden, Arnold let go of the horse, which started running towards her. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Tom running towards her. Elizabeth looked to her right, saw the entrance to the Sheriff’s Office, and quickly walked inside.
“Good afternoon, Miss,” said an older man sitting behind a big desk, “what can I do for you?”
Elizabeth quickly gathered her wits, “Good afternoon to you. Do I have the pleasure of speaking to Sheriff Michael Be
tters?”
“That’s me, but most people don’t think it is a pleasure to see me.”
Elizabeth smiled, “That must be their conscience talking. I am Elizabeth Mission, the new school teacher.”
Sheriff Betters stood up and shook her hand, “Yes ma’am, I know. How are you liking our town so far?”
Before Elizabeth could answer, Tom burst into the room, breathing hard. Elizabeth turned to him, all smiles, while the sheriff looked annoyed.
“Boy! What are you doing in here, huffing and puffing?”
Tom felt confused for a moment, looking at Elizabeth and then the sheriff, “Sorry, Sheriff, I just…I … uh..just wanted to let you know that Arnold lost control of his horse and I took care of it.”
“What do you want? A medal?” Betters asked, clearly exasperated with Tom.
“No, sir, just wanted to update you,” Tom said, quickly backing out of the office.
Elizabeth decided to have a little fun, “Sheriff Betters, is this one of your deputies?”
Betters laughed, “This one? No, this is Thomas Harper, son of rancher Patrick Harper. He doesn’t keep the law, he thinks he’s above it.”
Tom frowned, “Sheriff Betters, that is not true. We have had differences of opinions, but I know the law applies to everyone,” he looked at Elizabeth, hoping to salvage something, “and might I ask for your name, Miss? Or is it Missus?”
“I am the new school teacher, Elizabeth Mission. And it is Miss,” she said, “now if you are a rancher, you must know Mr. Terrance?”
Tom’s smile faded, worried that Jake already had the advantage, “Yes, I know Jake Terrance very well. He is almost a brother to me…a smaller, weaker brother.”
Elizabeth smiled, “That is what I love about small towns. Everyone knows everything about their neighbors,” she turned to the sheriff, “Sheriff Betters, I hope that answers your question about my impression of Spur. I originally came in here to ask if you could make some time this week to stop by the school and talk to my students about being a lawman.”
