“Kay!”
I sat up. That was Alex’s voice.
“Kay, where are you?”
“I’m over here.” I stood up and saw Alex, now fully human again, striding towards me. His face was tense with worry, and as we met he wrapped his arms around me, panting with relief.
“I thought you’d gone.” We said this at almost the same moment.
“Why did you wander off?” he asked, stroking my hair from my damp face.
“Why did I? Why did you? When I woke up I was completely alone, I didn’t have a clue where I was. I thought you’d left me. Where did you go?”
“I just went back to the pool to get the rest of our clothes.” He gestured and I saw he was carrying my bag. “I found my trousers and brought you this.”
He held out his shirt from the day before and helped me into it, tenderly fastening the buttons down the front for me. It was far too big for me and hung almost to my knees, completely enclosing my torn dress.
“I left you asleep, you looked so peaceful I couldn’t bear to wake you up. I put your dress over you to keep you warm. I thought I’d be back before you woke up, but when I got back to the clearing, you’d gone. I’ve been searching for you for twenty minutes.”
I laughed ruefully. “Meanwhile, I assumed you’d done another disappearing act. You know, having got what you wanted.”
“Got what I wanted? I want you.” Alex stroked down my arms, gazing wonderingly at my face. “When I came back and you weren’t there, I wondered if I’d dreamed you.”
He leaned forward and kissed me, fiercely and desperately. When we broke apart, he said, “Please stay. Please stay tonight and forever.”
“I will.” My life in London seemed impossibly far away. Alex, the forest, and this sunlit morning were the only things that were real.
“Brilliant. Now that’s settled, let’s go back to the house and have some breakfast. I need to give you a hot bath and take care of all your cuts and bruises.” He gently stroked my face. “I’m so sorry I hurt you.”
“You don’t have to be sorry. I told you that you were perfect; the loving gentleman by day, the wild beast by night. Just what I always wanted.”
He laughed, and suddenly noticed my bare feet.
“I can’t have you wandering around without any shoes on. Come here.” And he swept me up into his arms and, holding me across his chest, carried me out of the forest.
THE END
Eternal Menage
Damp air flowed through the dark bedroom. A cool breeze from the open window hit Julie’s backside as she slept snuggled against her boyfriend, Kyle’s, back. With a small shiver, she moved closer to him. He made a low moan and ran his hand over her ample bottom, pulling the blanket up to cover her.
Sheer curtains blew into the room as something moved outside the window. Like nails on a chalk board, a shrill sound woke the couple, and they sat up. Julie screamed as she saw a dark shadow looming just outside the open window.
Kyle jumped up and ran to slam the window shut. A shriek filled the air, and the shadow disappeared. Julie pulled the blanket to cover her bare chest as she stammered, “What the Hell was that, Kyle?”
Seemingly unshaken, he answered, “Probably an owl, Julie.” He walked back to the bed and climbed back in, pulling her to lie on his chest. “Come on, go back to sleep. You should be used to the crazy animal sounds of this place by now. We’ve lived out here in the swamp outside of New Orleans for almost two years.”
Julie’s eyes were wide and her heart was pounding as she clung to Kyle. “How are you so damn cool about that? Whether it was an owl or not that was scary.”
A low chuckle he made, then he kissed her forehead. “Sleep, scaredy cat. Morning will be here before you know it and we’ll have to get to work.”
The sun’s rays fell through the sheer curtains covering the window, waking Julie. She rubbed her eyes and pushed at Kyle. “Wake up, we have to go to work.”
She moved at the speed of a turtle as she made her way to the bathroom to get ready to go. After a cool shower she was finally awake and ready to get the day started. Kyle laughed at her as he came into the bathroom. “Did you have sweet dreams, baby?”
She shot him a glare and said, “No I did not.”
His dark brown eyes rolled as he ran his hand through his dark curls. “I didn’t realize I was in love with a chicken.”
As she wiped the toothpaste from her mouth she turned to him and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Well you are, so hurry up and get ready cause this chicken needs a vanilla latte in order to deal with the animals at the park today. I don’t want to be off my game and end up as alligator food.” A quick ponytail she pulled her long, blonde hair up in then walked passed him.
He slapped her ample ass as she left the room. “Get dressed and make me a bowl of cereal, wench.”
Julie pulled a bowl from the cupboard and filled it with a fruity cereal. A noise behind her made her jump as Kyle walked into the kitchen. “Shit! You’re one stealthy man,” she said, clutching her chest.
After breakfast they walked out into the already bright sunshine. Kyle stopped and grabbed Julie’s arm. “Look.”
Julie looked as he pointed to the driveway next to theirs. “Hey, someone must’ve moved in.” Julie said as she walked towards the black BMW which was parked in the drive. “Look, there’s curtains on the windows and a bird bath on the front lawn. That’s crazy we didn’t see anyone moving in yesterday, don’t you think that’s odd?”
Kyle nodded and said, “The curtains are black. That’s weird.”
Julie gave his arm a light punch. “It’s classy. I hope it’s a nice family, or a woman near my age so I can have a friend to hang with when you’re watching football.”
“Ummm, me too!” he said as he got into the driver’s side of their car. “A hot little number who can help you cook while I drink beer and watch football. Then the two of you can serve me.”
A swift punch, not so gentle, she left on his arm. “Stop it!”
As the couple drove away, one of the black curtains was pulled back as the new neighbor peeked out at them.
The last rays of sun were leaving the sky as they pulled into the driveway after work. Movement in front of the neighboring house caught Julie’s eyes, and she found herself looking at the most handsome man she’d ever seen. “Oh man! Would you look what we have here?”
Kyle followed her gaze and his eyebrows lifted in surprise, “Damn it! Not a woman.”
“No he is not,” Julie said as the car pulled to a stop near the man. She turned to Kyle. “How awful do I look? Damn it, I wish there were showers at work.”
Kyle gave her a frown. “Julie! What the hell!”
She got out of the car and smiled at the new neighbor. As her hand extended to the gorgeous man, she said, “Hi, I’m Julie Sinclair, and you must be our new neighbor.”
The tall man with deep green eyes and black as night, shoulder length, straight hair took her hand in his and placed his lips on top of it. A chill ran through Julie and she shivered. “It’s a pleasure to meet you,” the man said with a French accent, charming Julie even more. “I am Christophe LaFleur. Tu es très belle.”
A giggle erupted out of her. “Tell me what that means, please, Christophe.”
Kyle had been silently standing by. He put his arm around Julie, drawing her attention. “He told you, you’re very beautiful,” Kyle said. “I took two years of French in high school. That’s one of the most basic phrases.” Kyle extended his hand to the man. “I’m Kyle Bouchard. Mr. LaFleur.”
The man shook Kyle’s hand. “Please call me Christophe, we’re close in age, what are you, about twenty-five or so?”
“I am,” Julie said and pointed at Kyle. “He’s twenty-six. And you are?”
Her left hand he reached out and took in his as he looked at it. “I’m your age, Julie. I could not help but notice the two of you have different last names and you wear no ring. Are you not married?”
Kyle’s male instincts rose up, and he barked. “That’s none of your business, dude!”
Julie turned red with embarrassment. “Kyle!” She moved away from his side and took Christophe’s arm, leading him to their house. “No, we’re not married. You must come inside with us and let us show you some of the southern hospitality all of us southerners are known for. I have a bottle of red wine and I was just about to make some spaghetti for dinner. Please tell me you’ll stay and have dinner with us.”
Christophe glanced back at Kyle. “Only if it’s okay with you, Kyle.”
Julie pulled him along. “It’s fine with him. Don’t worry.”
Kyle kicked at a rock as he followed them in. A frown covering his face.
After she poured them all some wine she said, “I hope you’ll forgive me, but I have to take a quick shower. We work with animals and I’m afraid I smell like one.”
“Your scent is lovely, but I understand. How about I give you both some time to clean up and I come back in say an hour?” Christophe asked.
With a smile she nodded and took his arm again as she walked him to the door. “Okay, be back in one hour, promise me.”
He gave her a nod and kissed her hand before leaving. Julie closed the door and turned back to see a scowling Kyle. “Really, Julie?”
While sashaying to the bathroom she said, “Really what, Kyle? I’m going to be in the shower for a few minutes. Drink your wine and simmer down, Mr. Jealous.”
Kyle muttered to himself, “French! Why does he have to be French?” After taking a long drink, he smiled and started unbuttoning his shirt. “She didn’t say I couldn’t join her.”
He stripped off his clothes as he made his way to the shower which he heard running as he opened the bathroom door. Quiet as a mouse he moved until just outside the shower curtain. In a quick motion he yanked it back to find Julie running soapy hands over her full breasts. “Caught ya!” he shouted.
She screamed and threw the bar of soap at him. “Kyle! Damn it, stop sneaking up on me!”
His laugh was deep as he stepped into the shower. Taking the soap he’d caught, he lathered up his hands and said, “Why don’t you let me take care of those dirty boobs for you?”
With a smile she slid her soapy body against his. “Clean me up, baby.”
Her hand ran over his broad chest then down to his tight abs. Handling the monster alligators had his body in tip top condition, and hers as well. As his lips touched hers, his hands grabbed her ample ass, and he pinned her to the wall. She wrapped her tone and tight legs around his waist as he plunged into her, making a moan escape her pink lips.
He rammed into her with a steady motion and her hands twisted in his dark curls. As the warm water spilled over his back, Julie put her mouth on his neck and nipped it with her teeth then sucked hard. A dark purple mark she left on him as he groaned and plowed into her harder and faster.
He pulled out of her. “Turn around and bend over. I’m about to make you scream for mercy, wench.”
She did as he said with a groan of anticipation. Barely getting her hands to the side of the tub to steady herself as he entered her from behind and slapped her ass. “Ah!” The deep penetration made her knees weak and after only a few hard, deep strokes, she said, “I’m about to lose it, Kyle!”
A hard smack she felt on her ass, sending her over the edge, but Kyle was not yet finished with her. He moved faster and harder into her as she pulsed around his long, hard cock, the intensity making him orgasm, spilling himself inside her.
He turned her back to him and kissed her softly, running his hands gently over her ass where a red handprint glowed.
Dressed in a strapless summer dress, Julie stirred sauce while the spaghetti noodles boiled in a large pot. Kyle came up behind her and put his arms around her, kissing her neck and making her giggle. “Did I fix you up, doll?”
Julie turned in his arms and kissed him. “You sure did, if we didn’t have company coming for dinner. I’d have drug you straight to bed and made you fuck me all night. There’s no work tomorrow, so we can sleep in.”
Kyle gave her a smile. “We’ll get rid of him as soon as we can, then I’ll do just that.”
Her eyes lit up, and she stroked his cheek. “I look forward to it, but don’t be rude to him or rush him, please, baby.”
“For you, I’ll behave myself,” he said then placed his hand behind her neck and kissed her hard.
The doorbell rang and interrupted their kiss. “I’ll get it,” Julie offered, but Kyle held up his hand, stopping her.
“I can get the door, you finish getting dinner ready.”
Christophe came in as Kyle opened the door and gestured for him to. He handed Kyle a bottle of wine and said, “I brought over a bottle I brought from France. I thought you might like to have a taste of some real wine.”
Kyle took the bottle and went to the kitchen to open it. “Thanks, dude, that’s cool of you.”
Christophe followed him and made his way to Julie’s side as she stirred the sauce. “Can I help you do anything, Julie?”
She turned to him and just about lost her breath at how hot he was in a creamy linen suit. “I see you got more comfortable too.”
He took her hand and rubbed it on the front of his loose fitting shirt. “Feel how soft the material is, Julie.”
She felt that and the tight pecs which hid beneath it. “It’s very nice, Christophe. And you can strain the spaghetti noodles if you’d like. The pot holders are on the counter and the strainer is in the sink.”
Kyle poured them all glasses of the wine Christophe brought and placed them as well as plates on the table. The way the man was moving around the kitchen and his girlfriend was unnerving. In an attempt to get the man to focus more on him and less on Julie, he said, “So, Christophe what is it you do for a living?”
To Kyle’s disappointment the man stopped and leaned back against the counter next to Julie. “I travel around, buying things and shipping them back to shops I have in New York, Paris, and London.”
“So what brought you to us?” Julie asked.
Kyle’s eyes went wide as the man stroked Julie’s cheek and he said, “What brought me to you is a new shop I’m opening in New Orleans.”
Kyle picked up the bowl of noodles and took them to the table. “I assume you’ll get it open and go on about your world travels then?”
He turned back just in time to see Christophe looking into Julie’s eyes as his hand ran through her long, blonde hair. “One never knows what the future holds, does one?”
Julie looked back at him and ran her tongue over her bottom lip before biting it, she asked, “The sauce is ready, are you?”
“Umm hmm,” he answered as he took the bowl on the counter behind him, and moved in front of her to ladle the sauce into it. “Please, allow me, dear Julie.”
Julie felt a tug on her arm as she gazed at Christophe. “Come on, baby. Let me take you to your seat,” Kyle said as he pulled her to him, wrapping his arm around her waist. His lips touched her ear. “I can’t wait to get you in bed. I’m going to rock your world in just a little while.”
A grin spread over her face and her eyes lit up. “Oh, yeah?” His lips grazed hers as he patted her ass before sliding the chair out for her. She looked up at him and gave him a wink. “I can’t wait.”
Christophe brought the bowl of sauce and took the chair across from Kyle’s, Julie sitting in between them. He lifted his glass of wine and said, “A toast to new friends, may we never part.”
Julie and Kyle lifted their glasses and touched them to his. “May we never part,” Julie echoed, but Kyle merely smiled slightly.
They all took a drink and Julie’s nose wrinkled. “It’s kind of salty, isn’t it?”
Christophe leaned close to her. “The grapes were grown using special mineral water. It’s healthy for you, keeps you young, you know?” He urged her to drink more as his hand pushed gently at the glass. “Take another drink, this time let it linger in y
our mouth for a moment before you swallow it. Savor the individual flavors it contains.”
Kyle studied Julie as she took another drink. Her lips red as the glass left her mouth, and she held the liquid in it for a moment before she swallowed. “Does it taste any better?” Kyle asked.
She nodded at him. “It really does, try it, Kyle.”
He took a drink and closed his eyes as he moved the liquid around his mouth. “Mmm. It is better.”
Christophe smiled. “I knew you two would enjoy it. Drink as much as you wish. I have more at home.”
As they ate and drank a couple of glasses of the wine each, Christophe told them about his travels and how they should join him the next time he flew back to France. Even Kyle was getting excited about hanging out with the guy. Sure he kept touching his girlfriend and starring into her eyes way too much, but the guy was cool. Other worldly in a way he’d never encountered before.
With dinner over, Julie glanced at the clock on the wall. “My, we’ve been talking for two hours.” Her hand touched the top of Christophe’s. “We’ve been keeping you, Christophe. I’m so sorry. I’m sure you have things you need to do, what with just moving in and all. Don’t let us keep you from anything.”
“I assure you, you’re not.” He said as he rose and carried his plate to the sink. “Allow me to clean the kitchen, you cooked after all.”
Julie jumped up and grabbed her plate and Kyle’s as she made her way into the kitchen. “You’ll do no such thing, Christophe. We never let company do chores in the south. I tell you what. Run over to your house and grab another bottle of wine while I clean this up real quick then we can all watch a movie together. Do you like scary ones? There’s a new werewolf movie out.”
