All of them laugh.
“Okay,” I say. “Life is pretty damned perfect. But maybe next time we close the curtains?”
They laugh again.
“Whatever you want,” Aiden finally says.
“Good,” I tell them softly. “Because what I want is you.”
We’re all smiling, and as embarrassing as it is that our new neighbors might have just seen that, life still seems pretty good. This is, after all, our happily ever after.
Even if we are all a little different, we are perfect together.
