  'You'll see,' he said tauntingly.

He opened one of the several doors in the corridor and switched on a light which cast a soft glow over a large room, an enormous velvet-draped bed at its centre. Gently he deposited her on it. His tone still mocking, but his eyes ablaze, he said, 'Got you where I want you at last. And I'm going to keep, you here—for good. And love you—all of you.'

With a feather-light touch he kindled her body into flame, and then, his lips against hers, wooing her, crushing her, challenging her into a passion to meet his, he undressed her slowly. Jennie could feel the sea beating in her ears, her body melting into pure sensation, as she ran her fingers over his satin flesh, the firmness of his now bare thighs.

'Oh yes, my darling,' he moaned huskily into her ear, pressing her so fervently to his hardness that his words were like the echo of her own yearning body. And then, suddenly, he lay deathly still. Confusion rose to Jennie's eyes as she caught the glimmer of mockery on his face.

'You haven't said you'd have me yet, haven't agreed…' His breath was ragged on her cheek.

'Fool!' She pulled him to her, giving him her mouth, taking in his in a kiss which engulfed them in a single wave. It swept them into a whirlpool of sensuality, a passionate mingling of pleasure and pain, so vibrant with sense and sound that Jennie would never know whether it was her own voice or the throbbing of her blood which had whispered her love.
