‘I love you, Grace. I want to spend the rest of my life with you so will you marry me?’
‘Yes.’
‘You really mean it?’ he exclaimed in amazement.
‘Yes. Oh, I suppose I could pretend to be reluctant and make you wait for my answer, but what’s the point when it’s what we both want?’ She took hold of his hand and led him to the door. ‘We’ve wasted enough time in the last ten years, Harry, and I don’t intend to waste another second, so why don’t we go inside and celebrate?’
‘A woman after my own heart,’ he said, laughing as she dragged him into the house.
Reaching up on tiptoe, Grace wound her arms around his neck. ‘That’s all I want from you, Harry. Your heart.’
‘It’s yours. For ever,’ he murmured, then stopped talking because he was far too busy kissing her.
