“Motion approved.” The judge replied in Japanese while wrapping the gavel, “A warrant for the arrest of Miss Margret Anne Cooper and Miss Jacqueline Marie Shunokoi for suspicion of intentional homicide shall be henceforth entered into the record as active until executed, next case please.”

  Ep 28, Chapter 7

“Yes, I sent those intentionally Robert,” Janice replied over her com, staring out over the Tokyo skyline, “Please try to pick out the voice frequencies best matching the known patterns of one Elaine Richutti from all known files on the cloud.

“Yes, I know,” she said, glad he could not see her blushing, “I know, yes, I know...Okay Robert, I get your point, yes it was dangerous, but some times, you just have to make a few sacrifices to get to the truth okay?”

“Janice,” the studio sound engineer reminded her, “I know her reputation, she's a stone cold killer.”

“And that my friend,” Janice replied, “Is why we are doing this.” and she closed the com.

  Ep 28, Chapter 8

“Mrs. Shunokoi-san,” a guard hurried in and bowed deeply, “There are police at the gate.”

“Why are there police at the Shunokoi's residence?” Grandmother Shunokoi's voice showed alarm, irritation and surprise.

“They say they have a warrant for the arrest of Jaqi-chan and her Sobame Mrs. Shunokoi-san.” the guard bowed again,

“What in the name of the nine levels of hell...?” she rose from her seated position, “YUIIIIIIII!!!!”

  Ep 28, Chapter 9

“Lady Shunokoi! Lady Shunokoi!” came a worried call in Japanese, accompanied by a frantic knocking on their door, “We just saw the news and you need to hear it now!”

“Come in,” Jacqueline replied sleepily, also in Japanese, “what is the problem?” she said not fully awake.

“Lady Shunokoi!” She stepped in three steps, stopped and bowed deeply, “Please excuse the intrusion!” the head nurse looked frantic, “They have announced over the emergency network radio a warrant for yours and your Sobame's arrest!”

“They WHAT?” she squeaked, almost in fury rather than alarm, “How COULD they? We were the VICTIMS!”

Changing to English realizing that Margret was now awake from all of the commotion, “Margie-pargie we have a problem.”

“It sounds like it,” she said groggily as the pain pills were clouding her mind, “I heard a few words I recognized, and it came to me that we're in a lot of trouble...” her head rolled around as she struggled to find wakefulness and balance, the drugs not stifling the sense of impending doom, but rather enhancing it because of the overwhelming sensation of utter immobility and helplessness in the midst of a real crisis.

“We're safe here for a while,” Jacqueline said, “But you won't be able to stay now because that will give us away.”

“But nobody knows we are here,” the head nurse protested, “and we really want to remain here to make sure that your wife and child are protected to the best of our medical skills.”

“I'm honored, but -” she began before Margret interrupted.

“She's right Bunny-Pumpkins,” trying to prop herself up on her elbows, but failing, only to have Jacqueline make a pressing motion lightly on her chest and making a shushing noise, “As you see,” she continued, “I'm in no condition to move, let alone be manhandled by police.”

As Margret concluded her case, while Jacqueline was busy trying to keep her laying flat, the young heiress had no choice but to hear the truth and the reason in this matter, but she had to think of a way around the obvious fact they would be missed at work if they stayed.

“What if you all got food poisoning?” Jacqueline suggested with a mischievous grin on her otherwise placid face.

  Episode 29

  “Wanted For Murder”

“And in the morning news,” the television reporter said in broken English, “Two famous musicians are being sought in connection with a homicide which happened late last night off of the Hitachiminamiota interchange off the Joban Expressway.

  Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

They were allegedly here as part of the performing group Bleeding Cyanide who headlined the Kintoka Center to a sold out show.

There were rumors of strange activities going on at the center moments before they unexpectedly leapt from their escort limousine and sped away in another, unidentified vehicle.

“NO FUCKING WAY!” Julie cried, “No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-NO!!!” she grabbed the nearest object and threw it at the television.

Thankfully for her and the hotel, it was only a pillow.

She got on her com and tried calling Margret but when a strange voice picked it up, speaking in Japanese no less, she realized that Margret was out there all alone.

  Ep 29, Chapter 2

“I never really believed she was capable of killing!” Julie cried, trembling all over, “I just thought she was talking all tough!” she leaned into Tammy's bosom and sobbed.

“Well I would assume that it was a cop who has her com, just from the apparently official manner in which he was speaking, probably in the evidence room.” Rachel calmly deduced.

“Should we try to get it back?” Lily asked.

“Hell no you idiot!” Rachel punched her arm, but then handed her the big bottle of sake she was just drinking from, “Then WE'LL be in jail as accomplices!”

“Oh.” Lily tilted her head, shrugged and drank a swig of the sake, making a grimace, “This shit tastes nasty.”

“Its free.” Rachel said, “If you want something better, there is a bar in the lobby.”

Lily sighed with a despondent look, “No thank you, I don't want to be seen by anybody right now, this will work.”

“So then other than commiserating, what are we going to do?” Tammy asked.

“You got me,” Rachel shrugged, “Our leader is the one whose missing!”

  Ep 29, Chapter 3

The Shunokoi family was in an uproar.

They were on every com to every government official in the country of Japan, even the deputy DA who filed the charges.

They breathed fire down on every neck at every level of the government.

The same reply came from everybody's lips: “The charge has been filed and it has gone public, so to withdraw the charges now would cause a loss of face.”

“These arrogant bastards!” Yui burned, “ 'The charge has been filed and it has gone public, so to withdraw the charges now would cause a loss of face.' ”

Grandmother Shunokoi responded, “I'll show THEM what 'loss of face' means!” the sixty three year old woman declared with eyes flashing wildly and gritted teeth, trembling with anger, “Accuse my little Ja-chan of MURDER?”

Yan sat with a sour look on his face when suddenly a call came across his com from a familiar voice, “Mr. Shunokoi!” the voice came about robustly and in a quite jovial tone, “I say you seem to behaving a bit of trouble back home there.”

“So to are your constituents Mr. Bodenheimer,” Yan came back sourly, not willing to be toyed with, “Why are you calling me? What is your angle in all of this?”

“Let me make you a deal of a lifetime....”

  Ep 29, Chapter 4

“We can't stay here forever,” Jacqueline said, and Margret nodded in consensus, “Eventually they will find us out if only because some guest will figure something is up and make a deduction.”

“Well we can't rule out that possibility either,” the head nurse said, and besides, 'food poisoning' is not going to go very far either.”

“We need a way to escape.” Margret said, “A clean way off the island of Japan and back to the US.”

“We could get you aboard a fishing vessel,” another nurse offered, “But in your condition, that would not be good either.”

“What about a private flight out of the country?” another nurse offered.

“Noooooo...” Margret groaned, “No more airplanes!”

“We could sedate you baby-doll,” Jacqueline
offered, stroking Margret's hair, “then you would sleep the whole way there.”

“I've been asleep too much as it is lately!” she protested weakly.

“But in your situation, you need a lot of sleep!” the head nurse remarked, “You and the baby need it!”

“I'll get plenty of sleep in prison,” Marge groaned, “Which is what will happen if we stay here and get discovered.”

“We can go with your first idea, send somebody to the Shunokoi's residence with the receipt,”said the head nurse, “But we would have to do it in steps, instead of directly.”

“I know just the person!” one of the other nurses suddenly brightened.

  Ep 29, Chapter 5

“How does it feel to be the next in line to lead the gang?” the female rendition of Japanese was thickly accented.

“I should be the leader already!” the anxious Japanese man on the other end replied, “Why are you holding me back now?”

“Because you are too impatient,” came the answer, “and besides,” the woman continued, “you haven't finished the mission yet.”

“This is as good as in the bag mistress.” the man promised.

“You say that as if they were already in custody.”

“Well,” came a hesitant reply, “Not that I am aware of at this moment...”

“As I expected.” came an arrogant response, “Are you sure they are still even IN Japan?” Elaine Richutti asked the deputy DA.

“We can't prove it of course my mistress,” came a subservient voice, “but the probabilities are pretty high.”

“If you catch them,” she warned, “the little one comes DIRECTLY to ME. What happens to the big one is of no concern to me, so long as she never comes back.”

“Your wish is my command mistress!” was his last words before she closed the com.

“Such pathetic fools,” she purred, stroking the exposed abdomen of her twelve year old daughter as they lay in bed together.

  Ep 29, Chapter 6

The nurses said a sad goodbye to the girls and left for home, and all hopes were that they could get the message safely to the Shunokoi household without it being intercepted.

In the mean time, Jacqueline spent a lot of time caressing Margret and cuddling with her.

“What will you do if I get caught?”

“I'll fight to get you back.” Jacqueline replied, “My family will tear this nation apart to find justice.”

“Are you sure they can do that?” Marge asked, feeling defeated, “Whoever this Elaine person is, she is really powerful.”

“She can be a god for all I care,” Jacqueline replied in a resentful tone, “I'll send her to hell if I have to lead her by the hand.”

  Ep 29, Chapter 7

The people who had been asked to 'dispose of' the stolen motor cycle had instead of driving it off into the sea, re-painted it and changed its VIN putting another plate on it.

“You did WHAT?” Margret asked in surprise, starting to sit upright, while Jacqueline then went to pushing down on her to make her lay flat like she was instructed to.

“You never said how you wanted it to disappear Mrs. Shunokoi-san,” the man replied apologetically, bowing.

“Never mind, its okay,” she replied, relaxing back, letting Jacqueline resume stroking her hair, “We may need it anyhow.”

“You're going to injure yourself Margie-Pargie,” Jacqueline said, “I never specified they destroy the thing, I simply said 'make it disappear,' and that is exactly what they did for us!”

“You powerful people some times throw me completely off, you know that Bunny-Pumpkins?” looking up with a wistful smile.

“You'll get used to us.” she replied, leaning over and kissing her deeply.

  Episode 30

  “Surrender”

Three nights later, while the hot springs was in its slowest point, when everybody was asleep except for the night crew, there came some uniformed police men into the lobby.

As they came in, a detective came up along with them and asked the questions, had they seen the two women, were they aware that harboring wanted fugitives is a crime, and the list.

The lady at the desk reported that they had no guests by those names registered, and the man produced a warrant for their guest register.

Sure enough, most of the registered guest transactions had no names.

While she was busy talking to the police, she had repeatedly stepped on a small pad on the floor which sent an electronic signal to other people on the facility, and they went immediately into action.

They woke the Shunokois got them dressed in some personally lent clothing, a couple of wigs from a Halloween cosplay party several years before, and some celebrity style sunglasses for daytime use.

Then, along with the motorcycle, quietly walked down a bumpy, root filled winding path away from the road, and deeper into the mountains.

“We must not be long gone from work Lady Shunokoi, so here, use this light and this trail leads to the service exit of the park which is closed but the motorcycle will fit around the gate no problem!

“The old clothing,” Jacqueline began to say.

“We will make it disappear Lady Shunokoi,” the lead gardener replied, “But not same as bike!”

“Thank you.” she smiled, “Bill my card whatsoever you like on this.”

The gardener bowed deeply, “You are most gracious Lady Shunokoi! You honor our humble establishment!” and he and the others scurried back to the establishment.

They carefully walked by the dim moonlight through the trees managing the heavy motorcycle up over an occasional tall root, but for most of the path, it was a case of holding the brakes to keep it from rolling away from them.

They finally found the closed park, walked to the entrance past a guardhouse, through a foot path that thankfully was wide enough for the motorcycle and out onto the paved highway.

They climbed on and Margret walk/rode it down the hill and around another curve before popping the clutch and letting it rumble to life in the darkness and speed them away from the police in the night.

  Ep 30, Chapter 2

They had topped off the fuel tank while disguising the bike, so it was good for a long while before it needed more fuel, but to get fuel where people would recognize them would be very bad.

They had borrowed not only clothing but some lost identification documents which were never claimed, which, although expired, were reasonably passable if one did not look too closely.

They rode down the toll roads, which were wide open and empty, paying with cash, which left no digital paper trail.

They reached the edge of the city around sunrise and found a seedy love hotel with cheap but poorly maintained rooms and rented it for a week.

They found a thrift store and bought some more clothing, especially since Jacqueline was so short and buxom, beginning with some platform shoes and a muumuu to stand in for the fat suit she used to wear.

They got some garish makeup and carefully crafted her face to look as much less like her natural self as they could.

They even found a trinket store which sold colored eye contacts.

Margret bought brown ones, and with a long straight wig and some makeup, almost looked Asian.

By the time they settled down for their first night in the smelly hotel room, they had completely changed their appearances.

The additional clothes they bought were shoved in the saddle bags of the old Harley and they were there 'just in case.'

“How does it feel to be a fugitive from the law my love?” Margret sighed as she lay back on the less than optimal futon.

“It stinks!” she wrinkled her nose, “But I could get used to it...”

“Lets hope you never have to.” Margret sighed, “Lets hope this all ends soon and we can go back to our normal boring lives as wife and wife, raise our kids and be upper class muckety-mucks like we were meant to.”
