The Institute: A Dark Anthology Page 28

“Have you ever tried this before?” Dr. Manning asked curiously.

“No, but I mean, I’ve heard cases of people being taken advantage of and…”

“Molly, if you aren’t comfortable doing this, we don’t have to. I know it seems outdated and a bit brutish, but the reason your sister wanted me to treat you is because I’m the best at what I do and that’s thinking out of the box.”

Molly blushed deeply and whispered, “I just…I want to get better.”

Dr. Manning approached her and placed his strong hands on her shoulder. “And that’s all I want. I’m no pervert, Molly. I’m not a sick psycho. I’m your doctor and I’m just trying to heal you.”

“Okay,” Molly said after a pause. “Okay, I’m trusting you. Lizzie said I can trust you.”

“And you can,” Dr. Manning assured her, “Take your time, we can take this as quickly or as slowly as you like.”

She nodded and sat in the bay window area; she focused on her breathing at first, trying to keep it steady. Dr. Manning sat back down with his pen and paper and waited patiently.

Molly looked away from him, ashamed, as she spread her legs wide and reached a hand down to play with herself. She shut her eyes tightly and imagined she wasn’t there, that she wasn’t doing this as part of a therapy, that Dr. Manning - that James was the one touching her. She bit her lip as she imagined his fingers touching her softly, massaging her in ways she wanted. She was getting wet, she could feel it, so she slipped a finger inside of herself.

“Tell me what you’re thinking,” Dr. Manning said quietly, and Molly had to stop biting her lip.

She moved her fingers slowly as she spoke, “I’m imagining…a guy touching me…he likes to touch me,” she murmured.

“What else is he doing to you that you like?”

“I…I don’t know…” Molly admitted, stopping what she was doing and closing her legs. “I’m sorry, I just feel like this is really weird. Can we just stop?”

“Let’s stop there for today,” Dr. Manning nodded, “Small steps, Molly, you’re making progress.”

Molly nodded and got up, dressing quickly. “Can I go?” she asked.

Dr. Manning nodded, and Molly walked to the door, opening it and finding an orderly waiting for her. She smiled at him and said, “I’d like to go take a shower now, if that’s okay?”

“Sure,” he said, “Let’s grab your things along the way.”

They paused at her room so she could retrieve her shower kit before he led her to the shower where he waited outside. Molly walked in to find the shower room pleasantly empty; she wasn’t sure if she was happy Riley and Jana were not there or if she was sad. What she did know was that she wanted to finish what she started, now she was alone. She started the shower up and adjusted the water until it was running the perfect temperature. She stepped underneath the stream of water and groaned softly, enjoying the feeling of the hot water against her skin. Showers always made her feel better.

She slipped a hand down between her legs and touched herself again, playing with herself gently as she did so. She moaned softly and wondered what she would do if an orderly looked in to check on her. The words sexual deviancy came to mind and she wondered if having sex with one of them would help, if it would cure her. From what Dr. Manning said, that was what she needed, to release the pent-up sexual frustration from her body and mind so that she could live a normal life.

She slowly got to her knees and getting comfortable on all fours, she called out to the orderly she knew was outside the door. The door opened and the orderly saw her on all fours in the shower, one hand between her legs playing with herself. She gave a soft moan and whimpered, “I’ve fallen over and can’t get back up.”

“Molly, get up,” the orderly instructed her. “This is inappropriate.”

Molly blushed crimson and slowly got to her feet, looking down at the water hitting the floor. The orderly watched her for a moment before turning to leave.

“Wait,” Molly said suddenly, “Please don’t tell anyone else…”

“I won’t but don’t do it again,” the orderly said before shutting the door behind him and going to wait outside.

Molly wanted to cry from embarrassment; she had thought he would be excited to see her naked but instead, he had scolded her. She felt ugly and dejected and started to wash herself without another sexual thought in mind.

As she finished showering the door opened and Riley and Jana walked in with big smiles. “Hey, Molly,” Riley said, “I hope you’re not getting out now?”

“I’m not feeling well,” Molly said quietly before walking past them without another word and going to the orderly who was waiting for her. She followed him back to her room and when he didn’t leave straight away, Molly said, “It’s okay, I’m going to stay here for now.”

“Okay, Molly,” the orderly said before shutting the door and leaving.

Molly fell back into her bed and started to sob, thinking about what she had just tried to do and feeling ashamed. She knew she should tell Dr. Manning, but she would be mortified if he knew that she had tried to seduce an orderly.

Her door opened again, and Lizzie came in, pushing her little trolley.

“It’s not time for medicine yet,” Molly said.

“You looked upset, I came to console you,” Lizzie admitted, moving to sit next to Molly on the bed and wrapping her arms around the weeping girl. Molly sobbed her tears into her sister’s shoulder but didn’t say what had caused them. Lizzie tried to sooth her, but every time Molly thought she was done crying, a fresh sob came up and she started all over again.

Eventually Lizzie pried herself out of Molly’s grip and went to prepare a sedative injection for her sister. “This will help you sleep,” she softly. “You should feel better when you wake.”

Molly nodded, trying to wipe away her tears.

“Turn around,” Lizzie told her, and Molly turned onto her stomach. Lizzie pulled her pants down and stuck the needle into her bare cheek. It burned but Molly hardly noticed, bereft as she was. She pulled her pants back up and immediately felt drowsy. She laid down and closed her eyes; she could feel Lizzie stroking her hair before she dozed off contently.

“The night is dark, you must be scared,” the shadow whispered, tugging at her hand.

“No,” Molly said. “No, I don’t want to, please. Lizzie?” she called, “Lizzie, help me.”

“Leave Lizzie, I only want you,” the shadow said, his voice becoming a low growl, “I want you to come with me now. I will protect you.”

“You can’t, I won’t…” Molly pulled her hand away hard and she fell backwards.

Waking up, she was on the floor of her room, her clothes sticking to her body from the sweat that covered her. She felt sickly and gross and screamed for her sister. Instead, two orderlies came in and told her to calm down, but Molly was beside herself and kicked at them, screaming for Lizzie to come save her. She saw the shadow demon standing in the doorway and started to freak out, scratching and punching the orderlies as they tried to hold her down. It had red eyes that watched her closely as she tried to get away from the orderlies, as far away from the demon as she could.

Someone walked through the demon and suddenly James Manning was there with a syringe and needle, trying to stick the needle into her arm. She tried to tell him about the demon, but she couldn’t form the words. The world slowly grew darker and she found she couldn’t keep her eyes open.

“Can you tell me what happened just before? Why were you upset?” James asked her as they sat in his office. “Was it because of the therapy?”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Molly said, trying to shift to get comfortable. She was in a straightjacket and hated the feeling of being confined, but it was for her own safety and for those around her.

“I want out of this stupid thing,” Molly said, feeling angry and on edge, very unlike her usual self.

“Then you need to tell me why you were upset,” James said, i
nterlocking his fingers and resting them on his lap.

“Because I didn’t get what I wanted,” Molly said angrily. “And because no one believes me.”

“Believing you comes after we understand why you were upset; why were you upset? What did you want that you couldn’t get?” he asked patiently.

“I wanted that cute orderly to fuck me,” she snapped. “And instead he rejected me. Happy?”

“You wanted the orderly to have intercourse with you?” James asked, surprised. “That’s unlike you.”

  “I’m a deviant, aren’t I?” Molly asked.

“Yes, but it seems that we have unlocked something within you that is changing your views and reactions to the world; that could mean we’re closer to starting you on the path of healing, Molly.”

“There is no path of healing,” Molly spat at him. “I’m fucked in the head and there’s nothing to be done about it.”

James frowned at her and shook his head. “That’s not true, Molly; by unlocking some of your personal demons, we are getting to the root cause of your problems. It’s only been a few days; you need to give it time.”

“Time to pleasure myself?” Molly asked angrily. “Because I’m sure you’ll enjoy that.”

“Molly, you need to remain calm or we will have to sedate you again,” he warned her.

Molly felt the hot sting of tears in her eyes again; she’d lost count of how much she had cried over the last few days. “I just want to go back to how I was. I don’t want to be this on edge, this anxious, horrible, angry person. It isn’t who I am.”

“I know, I know,” Dr. Manning said, setting his notebook aside and kneeling in front of her, placing his hands on her legs. “And all I want is for you to get better, Molly. Can’t you see that? Molly,” he looked away and sighed, “I shouldn’t be telling you this, but I need you to get better.”

“Why do you need me to get better? Do you get a fancy award or something? Oh, look at me I cured the fucking crazy girl.” Molly was being sarcastic and bitter, but she no longer cared.

“No, because I’m developing feelings for you,” James said quietly, and Molly’s eyes widened as he continued, “I’m going to take your jacket off, but if you attack me, I will sedate you, okay?”

  “Okay,” Molly said softly.

James stood up and started to undo the straps of her straightjacket. She couldn’t even begin to describe the relief she felt as she was able to stretch her arms out. James stood in front of her and smiled gently. “Better?” he asked.

  “Much,” Molly admitted.

“Do you trust me now?” he wondered out loud.

“I…I don’t know but…but I do have feelings for you too.”

“Oh Molly, that makes my heart so happy,” he gushed, bending down to wrap his arms around her in a tight hug. “Nothing in this world would make me happier than you getting better so we can be together. Will you trust me to make that happen?”

“Yes,” Molly said, slightly choked up. “Yes, I will.” She breathed in his scent, he smelt of musk and aftershave. It was delightful to inhale. She tilted her head to the side and brushed her lips against his before he kissed her deeply, taking her breath away.

James pulled away from her and looked down into her eyes. “Our session is over for now, but I’ll see you soon, okay?”

“Okay,” Molly said, smiling brightly before bouncing out of the room to the orderly who was surprised to see her out of her straightjacket.

“I’m ready to go sleep,” Molly exclaimed before leading the way back to her room where Lizzie was already waiting for her.

“I have your medicine and your sedation ready,” Lizzie said as she walked in.

Molly sat on her bed. “I don’t need the sedation tonight, Lizzie; I actually feel like I’m going to have some good dreams.”

Lizzie frowned and shook her head. “That’s not how medication works, Molly, and you know it. You need to take your medicine.”

“I’ll take my medicine, but I don’t need to be sedated, Lizzie,” Molly argued, and Lizzie looked taken aback. Molly couldn’t think of a single time she had ever spoken back to Lizzie and it showed now.

Lizzie put away the needle and said, “I’ll be addressing this with Dr. Manning tomorrow,” and the way she said it made Molly feel uncomfortable, as though she had done something terribly wrong.

Molly took her medicine from Lizzie and chased it down with the bit of water she got, and before she could even wish Lizzie a goodnight, her sister had walked out with her trolley. Sighing, but still somewhat upbeat about her prospects, Molly laid back in bed and stared at the ceiling, thoughts of James Manning on her mind before she drifted off.

A male nurse brought Molly her medication in the morning and was rather grumpy as Molly tried to find out where her sister was; she was simply ignored and told to go about her own business. Molly frowned and went to breakfast with the male orderly waiting outside. It was oats today, which was definitely not her favorite, and she took her bowl of steamy gunk to sit with Riley and Jana, both of whom looked at her curiously.

“I’m feeling much better,” she said quietly. “Can I sit with you guys?”

“Yeah, okay,” Riley said, pushing a chair out for Molly using her foot, “But don’t lose your shit with us again.”

“I’ll try not to,” Molly said with a smile, sitting down and starting to force down the mushy mess that was her breakfast.

“So, we’ll meet in the gardens then,” Jana said to Riley, steering her friend back to the conversation they were having.

“Yeah, we’ll meet behind the rose bushes. As long as Michael can watch he won’t mind,” Riley said with a giggle. “I set it up with him already.”

“Excellent,” Jana said. “I’ve been wanting a romp in the bushes with you for a while already.”

“Can I join?” Molly asked suddenly.

“You sure you want to?” Jana asked, looking at her through narrowed eyes. “You’re not just asking to make us happy, are you?”

Riley smiled at Molly encouragingly and Molly shook her head. “No, I’m asking because I want to make us all happy.” She blushed, surprised at her own words as they tumbled out of her mouth.

“Straight after breakfast,” Riley whispered as some of the nurses passed them by. They all suddenly became very interested in their oats and didn’t say another word while they ate. Once they were done, they stood up together and took their dishes to the designated area before going to Michael, the dark toned orderly standing nearest the door. Molly couldn’t quite look him in the eye as Riley said, “Michael, since we all want to go to the garden, doesn’t it make sense for all three of us to go with one orderly?”

“I don’t know, Mike,” the orderly to his right said, “You going to handle all three of these nuts?”

“I’m not a nut,” Jana snapped at him before falling silent again, looking away.

“It’s fine, I can handle them. I’ll call for help if I need any,” Michael’s smooth deep voice washed over the three of them and they had to stop from giggling.

Michael led them out of the cafeteria and down the corridor towards the main back doors that led into the beautiful gardens. There weren’t many patients out yet as most were still busy being fed, and some had lost outdoors privileges.

“I thought you said it was just you and Jana,” Michael said quietly to Riley.

“I thought you said you wanted a show,” Riley shot back, and Michael nodded.

“Yeah, I do, but I don’t want to get fired if she loses her marbles.”

“She’s fine, she’s just horny, her doctor said so,” Riley insisted with a big smile, and Michael shrugged.

“If need be, I’ll claim complete ignorance. I’ll pretend to faint and say you knocked me out, and they’ll believe me, Riley.”

“I know, I know,” Riley said, falling back to walk with Jana and Molly so she could speak to them. “As awesome as this is going to be, we can’t make too much noise and attract a
ttention to ourselves, okay?’

“Okay,” both of the women agreed.

They reached the more secluded rose bushes and Michael went to sit on a bench where he had a clear view of the girls. The girls snuck behind the bushes so Michael could see them, but anyone walking up the pathway would only see Michael and he’d have time to warn them. It was all going according to Riley’s perfect plan.

The three of them sat in a small group in front of the dense bushes and giggled softly before Riley leaned forward and started to kiss Jana. The girls moaned softly as they kissed and Molly started to feel aroused just watching them, remembering the deep kiss that James had given her the day before. Riley broke the kiss with Jana, and Jana leaned over to Molly and kissed her. Molly moaned softly as their tongues slid over each other. She paused only when she felt fingers sliding into the waist of her pants and rubbing over her panties, the offending hand belonging to Riley. “Keep kissing,” Riley whispered as she slowly massaged Molly through her panties.

Time passed in a blur and before Molly could say anything, each of them had fingers buried in each other. Riley was moving her fingers in Molly who was teasing Jana’s clitoris while Jana was busy going down on Riley.

When Molly glanced at Michael, he had his hand down his pants and the definitive movements were clear as day; he had a hard on and he was getting his money’s worth of a show.

Molly groaned as Riley pinched her clit lightly before pushing her fingers back into Molly, moving them deftly. Molly wanted to taste Jana so badly, wanted to do to Jana what she was doing to Riley. She imagined it was James’ fingers buried deep in her pussy. Suddenly she was lifted and put on her knees, Riley’s hand now missing notably from her pants. Michael was behind her, and she wasn’t sure when that had happened; had she blanked out? He was pushing into her with his thick cock and groaning deeply. Molly didn’t know where Jana was, but Riley was suddenly in front of her, legs splayed open and waiting. Molly lowered her mouth to taste Riley, she tasted tart, but it was a nice taste; Molly liked it.

When did Molly lose her shirt? Michael was fondling her bare breasts and her nipples were hard from the cool air and arousal. She was now moving her fingers in and out of Riley quickly, the older woman chasing an orgasm she was so close to.
