“Oh, please, Knight.” Bish rolled his eyes. “You’ve done practically nothing but since he got here. And he still thinks you’re an amazing stud.”

Rook chuckled. “That’s because Knight is an amazing stud. Who knows what he likes.”

“I don’t know why there has to be so much worry.” Jason shook his head. “I don’t think badly of any of you.”

  “It’s just you took off…”

“I… I don’t want to do that. Ever.”

Rook patted Jason’s hand. He had a feeling Jason would eventually change his mind, but there was no point in trying to get there tonight. “We’ll just watch.”

“You can go be with them. I’ll watch. It’s cool.”

Rook watched as Knight and Bish got rid of the coffee table and set up blankets and pillows in front of the couch they were sitting on.

“I’m not sure they need me. Guys? You want me to do anything?”

Bish grinned wolfishly. “I have lube and a well-cleaned-out sexpot.”

“No wonder Knight is in such a good mood!” He laughed and cuddled in with Jason. “We can both watch, honey.”

Jason nodded but hid his face. Rook kissed the top of Jason’s head and turned to watch his lovers.

Bish laid out the big jar of lube and settled next to Knight. He’d placed Knight so that Jason and Rook had a great view. They were going to blow their sweet baby boy’s mind. Knight’s too. That was as much thought as he spared for anyone else, though. All his focus would be on Knight now.

Knight was watching him, eyes serious, quiet. He rested for a moment, his hands on Knight’s splayed knees, meeting Knight’s gaze.

  “You want this, Mouse?”

Bish smiled, the nickname warming him all the way through. “You know I do.”

  “Yeah. Yeah, I know.”

“I don’t even have to ask if you want this, I know you do.”

  “Maybe.” Little tease.

He chuckled, tickled the insides of Knight’s thighs. Knight spread for him, the heavy, bare balls drawing up. All of Knight was joining in, offering that hole to him. He touched the tiny hole, traced it. So fucking pretty. Humming, he rubbed the wrinkled flesh.

  “Talk to me, Bish.”

“You want me to tell you what I’m about to do? How I’m going to start small. With my pinky finger and slowly add fingers.”

“I want you to talk to me, to be here with me.”

“Always, babe. You know that. You’re always on my mind and in my heart.” He lubed up his hand, pushing his little finger into that tight hole.

Knight reached up, cupped his jaw. He nuzzled into the touch, fucking Knight with one little finger. Knight moved lazily, dancing to the music from the radio.

“You are so fucking stunning, Knight.” He slipped a second finger in.

  Knight chuckled, body gripping him.

  “It’s no joke, man.”

  “No, it’s not,” murmured Rookie.

“I’m the artist. I get to say who’s stunning.”

“Okay, then, who’s stunning?” Rook asked.

Bish slipped in a third finger, nice and easy.

“You three. Studs, all of you.”

That had Rook laughing softly. “Well, Bish and Jason for sure. I’m a little too lean to be called a stud.”

Knight looked at Rookie. “I love you, dork. You’re perfect.”

Rook bounced up and kissed Knight. “You’re so good to me.” Then he settled back on the couch with Jason and waved his hand. “Carry on.”

Bish chuckled. “I am.” He nudged Knight’s gland to prove it.

Knight’s lips parted and his beautiful man groaned. Rook made a happy little noise and Bish did it again, fingers nudging that bit of flesh hard.

“Oh, fuck. Bish. Bish, right there.”

“I know, baby.” Bish tagged that spot a few more times, sending Knight flying, opening him up and getting him ready for the next finger.

Bishop heard Jason and Rook both moan.

He slid out of Knight and lubed up all his fingers, curling them slightly as he put them back at Knight’s hole. Four first, and then he’d tuck his thumb against his palm and push his whole hand into Knight’s body, connecting them in that very special, very intimate way.

Knight groaned, his body fighting him. “I don’t know…”

“You know, Knight. You know you want my hand. You want me to feel your pulse in my palm, in my own body. You holding me tight as I hold you.”

Knight shook his head, eyes rolling. “You keep saying things.”

Knight didn’t want Jason to see him vulnerable—Bish knew it.

“You asked me to talk to you, so I’m talking. I’m telling you how stunning you are, how brave and strong. How you let me make you fly.” He slowly pushed four fingers into Knight’s body.

“Only you.” The words were soft, barely given breath.

“I know. You’re something special, Knight.” He kept pushing until his fingers touched Knight’s gland, moving over the little bit of flesh.

Knight keened softly, cheeks flushed, and all Bishop knew was his lover, this perfect man, and his need.

“So fucking tight, babe. So perfect. God.”

“Full.” Knight’s hips rolled up, body taking him just the barest bit deeper.

“Not completely full, though. You’ll take my whole hand. You’ll hold me tight inside you.”

“Full of you.” Knight’s body rippled around his fingers, muscles fluttering.

“Mmm. Oh, yes.” He moved his fingers in and out then stretched them a little, loosening Knight up, getting his body ready.

He added lube, slicking the way, slowly shifting deeper and deeper. Next, he curled his thumb into his palm and kept pushing, Knight’s body slowly but surely stretching to accommodate him.

“Can you feel it? Feel how I’m filling you up.”

“How could I not? You’re everywhere.” Knight was panting now, fingers opening and closing.

“I am. Filling you up. Holding you in my hand. I can feel your heart beating.”

  “Mouse…”

He heard Jason’s soft whisper, Rook’s answer, but he ignored them. His world was Knight.

“I’m right here. Inside you.” His hand pushed completely into Knight’s body and he moaned. “Oh, fuck, yes.”

“Mouse…” Knight arched, body fighting to make room for him.

He moved with Knight, careful not to stretch the man any more than he already was. “I have you. I goddamn fucking have you.” In the palm of his fucking hand. God fucking damn. “Forever.”

  He could feel each heartbeat.

He met Knight’s gaze and held it, breathing with his lover, the connection between them so strong, so palpable, he was sure it was visible. He took a deep breath, encouraging Knight to do the same. Then he took another breath and began to move his hand inside Knight’s body. He slowly closed his fingers into a fist, then moved it in a circle, then forward and back in little increments.

“You’re mine, Knight. My heartbeat.” He couldn’t think of a better way to say I love you. He moved his hand some more, the tightness holding him in, demanding he stay.

Knight nodded, his breathing beginning to hitch.

“You need to come for me.” Release some of the pressure.

“I can’t. It’s too big.” Knight always said that.

“You can. You will.” He wrapped his free hand around Knight’s prick, thumb and forefinger squeezing the tip, moving the ring buried there.

“No…” Knight’s shoulders left the sofa. “Oh, fuck. Mouse. Just like that.”

“Like this?” He stroked up and down once, moved his hand inside so his knuckles brushed Knight’s gland. Then he did it again.

Knight convulsed, spunk spraying up on that flat, perfect belly. Two moans joined his, Rook and Jason noisy in their appreciation.

  “Good boy, Knight.”

Knight whimpered softly, cock not flagging a bit. He continued to m
ove his hand inside Knight’s body and leaned forward to tongue the slit.

“My hot motherfucking boy.” He whispered the words against Knight’s cock. Then he took it in, tongue playing with the slit and moving the ring back and forth

“Your boy!” Knight’s toes curled, fingers tangling in his hair.

He hummed around Knight’s prick and sucked harder. Wild sounds poured down over him, desperate and needy. He took Knight in all the way, swallowing around the tip. His hand wasn’t still, easing slowly but rhythmically inside Knight’s body. He could feel those muscles jerking and bumping around him.

His own prick was hard as a diamond, the trust and intimacy between them more arousing than the physical.

Knight blinked at him, lips parted, hungry.

He swallowed around Knight’s prick again, then pulled back far enough to press his tongue into the slit. His sweet pain-slut loved that burn—the sting, the ache. His hand was beginning to ache, but he’d see Knight come again before letting go of this heartbeat.

Knight reached down, fingers touching his arm where it disappeared into his body. That was right, they were joined together…right there.

Rook cried out, the sound deep and wild.

Bish let his teeth just graze Knight’s skin. Spunk filled his mouth, Knight sobbing for him. He swallowed it down, pulling his hand out while he did.

Knight was crying hard, undone, needing him more than ever. He cleaned them both up, then drew Knight into his lap, rocking him, focusing only on his lover. A bottle of water was pressed into his hand, a blanket wrapped around them.

“Thanks, Rookie.” He made Knight drink, kissing the man’s face, catching each tear.

Rook rubbed his shoulders. “Call out if you need anything.”

“We will. You love on the kid. I’m keeping my K with me.”

“Thank you for sharing. Love you both.”

One last squeeze and he and his Knight were alone.

“So big, Mouse. That’s so big.”

“It’s the biggest thing ever. And you are so brave, so beautiful.”

“Tell me we can stay like this forever.”

“We can stay like this forever.” It was true enough for right this moment.

  “Okay. I believe you.”

  “Good boy.” His boy.

“Love you, Mouse. Rookie needs to be careful—the kid’s in love with him.”

  “You don’t think it’s mutual?”

“I think Rook loves him, yeah, but Jase… Jason is in love.”

“And you think Rookie’s going to hurt him?” Bish thought it made everything easier, the love they all shared.

“Not on purpose, ever. But… You know what it’s like, that first man you’re in love with. When Jason realizes that Rookie’s not going to commit like that…”

“Hey, he committed to us, babe. Full on.”

Knight nodded. “Maybe I’m just paranoid. You know how I get.”

“The truth is you’re a softie inside and you worry about the people you care about.” Knight hid a lot behind his crazy artist persona.

  “Bullshit.” Knight flipped him off.

He kissed Knight’s forehead. “Don’t worry. I won’t spill your secret.”

  “You’d better not.”

“You know I wouldn’t.” He kissed Knight’s nose and then his lips. “Now weren’t we supposed to be after-glowing?”

“Uh-huh. Cuddling and staying warm.” Knight laughed, looking young.

  “You got it, babe.”

Knight kissed his jaw. “Love you, asshole.”

“And I love all of you, even your asshole.”

Knight’s laughter was the neatest thing he’d ever heard. Ever.

Jason wasn’t the only one in love and Bish knew it. He also believed it was a good thing.

He held on to Knight, settling in for the long haul.

  Chapter Ten

Jason worked out an hour earlier than normal, then left a note saying he was going for a walk. He didn’t want to do this anymore. He just had to figure out how to tell them. It had been one thing when they’d just been fucking, but now… Now he was in love and stupid over a man who was in love with two other men.

His cell phone started ringing about an hour into his walk. He looked at the screen, not sure if he could talk to anyone right now. It was Rook.

He sighed, thought about just letting it ring, then answered, “Hey.”

  “Hey, honey! It’s Rook.”

  “Good morning, Rook. How’re you?”

“I’m good. Missing you, though. Where are you, honey?”

  “I needed a walk.”

“I hope you dressed warmly. I don’t want you getting a cold.”

“I’m okay, I have my coat on.”

“Are you going to be home soon?”

“I thought I’d take myself to breakfast, maybe to the library.”

“And I take it you don’t want company?” He thought he could hear a pout in Rook’s voice.

“I…I was having a think, Rook.” He always wanted Rook’s company.

“So do you want to talk about it? I could meet you somewhere for breakfast…”

“Okay. Okay, yeah.” He’d just tell Rook he was giving notice. Moving out. Finding a life where he wasn’t making a huge mistake with his heart.

“How about Zva’? In twenty minutes?”

“Okay.” Okay. Yeah. He could do that.

“Awesome!” Rook sounded so happy at his agreement. “See you then, honey.”

He swore he heard a kiss blown at him, then the line went dead.

Jason sighed, stopped and looked out over the water. What was he going to do? How could he let go of Rook? Could he walk away from the only person he’d ever loved?

He didn’t know, but he was pretty sure he needed to try. He just really didn’t want to.

  * * * *

Rook was already there when he got to the coffee house, chatting and laughing with the owners behind the counter. Jason almost just walked away. Rook turned before he could decide, though, his smile getting wider when he caught sight of him.

  “Hey.” Oh, God.

Rook came right over and kissed him. “Morning, honey. That’ll be a real kiss when we get home. What do you want for breakfast?”

“Just coffee, I think.” His stomach was in knots.

“Not hungry?” Rook frowned at him. “Are you okay, honey?”

“I… I think… No, Rook. I’m not. Can we sit down?”

“Of course we can.” Rook waved at the guys at the counter. “Just two coffees, boys.” Then Rook led him to the comfy seats in the corner of the nearly empty coffee house.

“I’m sorry.” He sat and folded his hands together. You can do this, Jason. You can. It’s best for everyone just to walk away.

Rook reached over, wrapped a hand around both of his and squeezed. “You’re scaring me. What’s wrong?”

“I think… I’m going to have to move out, Rook. I have to go.” He let himself hold on to Rook a second, his heart breaking.

Rook’s face fell—he looked devastated. “What?” There was barely any sound behind the word.

“I can’t… I can’t do this. I-I’m not the right guy to do this and not fuck everything up at the end, I’m sorry.”

“No. No. No. You’re the perfect guy. Absolutely perfect. Is this because of the fisting? Honey, we’d never hurt you, never push you to do something you don’t want to. You have to know that. I promise.”

“No. No, it’s not that. It’s…” It was because Rook’s perfect life was two other men and then him and he wanted to be…special.

“It’s what? Please, honey, you have to tell me so I can fix it because I don’t want to even think of life without you. I love you, honey.”

“But I’m in love with you, Rook. I didn’t try to, but I fell. I’m sorry.”

“Oh. Oh, Jason.” Rook smiled at him, looking so happy. “Don’t be sorry. That’s so wonderful!”

p; “It’s not. I… I just can’t live there, knowing that I’m in love with you. I need to go.”

“I don’t understand how loving me means you have to leave.”

His cheeks burned and he couldn’t meet Rook’s eyes. “I… When we were playing Truth or Dare…that’s when I knew. You don’t feel the same about me. It’s okay. I get it, but… I want to be something more.” Was he even making sense?

“Jason. I love you. This isn’t the first time I’ve said it. I don’t understand.”

“You love me, but you’re not in love with me, huh? I love Bish and Knight, sure, but I’m in love with you.”

Rook leaned in. “Then how come you don’t want to stay with me?”

He shook his head. “Because I want to be special.”

“But you are special. No one else is my honey—no one else is you.”

“I’m not. I wish I was.” He looked up when his coffee arrived. “Thank you.”

“What do you mean you’re not? You are! I love you! I… I don’t understand.” Rook kept saying that.

“I’m sorry.” He was a bad person, but… He didn’t know how to make himself clear.

“I can’t let you go, honey. Please, it would break my heart.”

“I…” How could he do that? Hurt the man he loved?

“Come back home with me. Please.” Rook’s fingers stroked his wrist, and all he wanted was to go with Rook—to go home. To touch.

Rook stood, reaching a hand out to him.

He stood, taking Rook’s fingers. “This is a mistake, Rook.” He couldn’t deny Rook, though.

Rook shook his head. “No. No, it isn’t. I swear it isn’t. Oh, please, honey, come on home.”

“I’m stupid in love with you.” Didn’t Rook understand?

Rook smiled. “And I’m in love with you, honey.”

They were moving, somehow—walking toward the door then out into the snow. Rook shivered and hunched into his coat but didn’t let go of Jason’s hand.

“I’m sorry.” He was. He didn’t want to hurt anyone.

  “Hush.” Rook hurried along.

“I am. I didn’t intend to…” He wrapped around Rook, protecting the man from the cold. Rook leaned into him. “I have you.” He did, stupid or not.

  “Thank you, honey.”

It didn’t take long to get home, the two of them pushing through the door and out of the cold. The house was quiet, still—Knight and Bishop still hidden away.
