In Her Words (A St. Skin Novel): a bad boy new adult romance novel Page 24

by London Casey

He stayed right there with me, kissing me, holding me, loving me. When he did move, he rolled to his back and pulled me on top of him.

“Fuck, I love you,” he said.

I could feel his heart thumping hard.

“I love you,” I said. I put my chin to his chest and looked up at him. “I can’t believe the house sold that fast.”

“What are you going to do with all the money?”

“It’s going to Paisley,” I said. “Simple. I want her to explore the world. Not have a care. Find love. Be happy.”

  “You’re a great mother.”

“You’re a great father.” I kissed his chest and put my head down.

Ten minutes later I felt Cass gently shake me. He asked me if I was awake. I was then. And it was for good cause. His hands started to travel down my body, over the curve of my ass. Moving between my legs, finding me, touching me, bringing my desires right back to life. Not that it took much to do so.

I started to kiss his chest and wanted to surprise him, so I started to inch down. I didn’t stop until I was able to take him into my mouth. I loved my long nights with Cass.

He was full of ink, muscles, and a bad attitude.

But he was also full of heart … and that’s all I could ever ask for.

  Cass

  LATER THAT SAME DAY

I never missed a day at St. Skin but today was very different. A quick text to Tate cleared out my day, which wasn’t all that big of a deal to begin with. I had nobody penciled in for the day. An urge shot through me after I was finished enjoying the company of Diem’s perfect body. I left the house and went to the barn. It took me some time but I managed to get it cleaned up, set up, and looking like a real recording studio. My intentions? I had none at that point. I thought about maybe helping local bands get some studio time. Or maybe put a band together on my own. Or just have a really expensive recording studio.

I sat down and grabbed a guitar.

This was a thing now, too.

Throwing some riffs into the computer before mixing them together and writing lyrics. To me, it was all garbage. My days of standing in the limelight were long over. I was a family man now. My artistry was given to those through the needle and an image in my mind. Anything musical was going to be just for me.

It took me an hour to get something that resembled a song put together.

That’s when the door opened and in came Diem, holding Paisley.

“There’s the two most beautiful girls in the world,” I said.

“Your daughter wants to show you something,” Diem said.

  “Oh?”

Diem crouched down and put Paisley on her feet. Paisley held a finger of Diem’s in each hand. She looked right at me. Those blue eyes were burning bright. I crouched down.

“Are you going to walk to me?” I asked.

She had taken a few steps but never walked yet.

Diem wiggled her fingers out of Paisley’s grip. My daughter stood there, unaware of the feat she was completing. Then she took a step. Followed by another. And another.

Paisley walked right into my open arms, leaving me in a state of shock.

I picked her up and smiled, kissing her cheek. “Oh, we’re in big trouble now.”

“Yes we are,” Diem said. “I need to go baby proof the entire house.”

We then stood there, the three of us, a family.

“I have something for you,” Diem said.

  “Besides a walking child?”

Diem took Paisley from me. She replaced the baby with a notebook.

  “What’s this?” I asked.

  “For you. From me.”

  Diem kissed my cheek.

She pulled away and I grabbed her. There was no way she’d ever leave me without a kiss. A real kiss. Our lips touching, the fire burning, forever just off in the distance.

She gave me my daughter, my family, and for that I would give her my life.

  (What was in the notebook?)

The hero, so bold, alive, a mystery.

An outlaw, written on his skin, showing deep within his heart.

Loving, a kind so real, I’m nervous.

The beginning, touching a soul, giving what has never been known.

  Together, moving, searching to stay.

A family, beating to a pulse, of what time has given.

  THE END.

  From the authors:

Thank you so much for joining us in the world of St. Skin! This novel – this series – means the world to both of us (London and Jaxson). We came up an idea to create a small town romance series but take it one step more… to bring in the rough and toughness of the bad boys you love while keep the romance real. Not to mention stories that are deep with passion and a raw vibe that pours through the pages. This has been an amazing journey so far with St. Skin. And we promise you this – we are not done in the small town of Hundred Falls Valley. The readers have embraced us and embraced this series, and for that we can never thank you enough. We hope that you not only enjoyed the novel but will also leave a review to help spread the word about the book and series.
