Five Night Stand (Fox Brothers Book 2)

Max watched as her swollen nipples moved with every breath she took. She had a heartbeat. Weird.
“We both survived.”
“Max.”
“Yes.”
“Let me taste you.”
“What?”
“Just one taste before we go inside the restaurant.”
“No fucking way.”
Scar’s face turned to pure anguish. She started to cry. Fuck! Max was too stunned to move. She was crying, real tears, a vampire crying.
“Scar, please don’t do that.” He asked but she ignored him. He couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she looked naked, sitting in front of him crying like she was human. Then his chest got tight and he thought for a moment her tears would make him cry. No, he couldn’t have that.
“Scar, okay, no stop. What do you want to do to me?” Max leaned forward and grabbed both of her hands. He waited as she tried to muzzle her whimpers. “Tell me what you want.”
“I, want, a little taste.”
“Blood?”
“Yes. I promise I won’t hurt you.”
“Jesus you don’t just want to punch me in the face instead.”
“I want to taste your blood. I won’t take too much.”
He was actually thinking about granting her request. He was a rebel. He was fearless but this was fucking crazy.
While he was thinking about it Scar took the opportunity to straddle him. She sat faced toward him on his lap. He moved to place his back against the seat instead of the door.
Scar brushed her nipple across his lips. He sucked her entire breast into his mouth as his hands glided around her waist.
“Max.” Scar called and he moved off her breast to look up at her. Scar’s fangs discharged as Max watched. He got knots in his stomach as he watched in awe. Scarlet licked the sharpened tips of her fangs. “Trust me.”
Scar bent and lipped Max’s lips with only her tongue. She wouldn’t dare kiss me but she licked his chin. She trailed down his neck to his collarbone and back to his neck. She licked the area that enticed her.
Max closed his eyes and waited for death. Scar brushed the pointed tips of her fangs over his warm skin. She could smell the blood underneath the surface. She willed herself not to go too far. If she ever hurt Max she would fall on a silver blade.
Max held on to her waist. He knew that wouldn’t do any good but something willed him to not be a chicken shit. He was Max Fox. This was a fucked up situation but a request he had to fulfill. He owed her. His chest caved as the fangs scratched at his skin. What ever she was doing was making his cock stir.
“UGH!!!” He cried out as the fangs pierced his skin. Pain. He had a long list of expletives but his cock jumped to attention. It arched like he hadn’t just cum hard moments ago. He couldn’t feel her fangs anymore but he could feel the aching pulsating cry of his cock. She lowered down on his pole and quivered when she covered him wholly. She was on his neck drinking his blood, maybe draining him but all he could think of was stuffing her from underneath. He started ramming her from underneath and he pushed in so deep she dislodged from his neck.
She lifted her face and he looked up to see her bloody fangs. His blood was trickling down her lips on to her chin and dripping to her bouncing tits.
“What the fuck!” He said it out loud when he thought it was only in his brain. Scar bounced on his thickening pole as he slammed his meat deep inside her lubed walls. Scar grabbed his neck with one hand and covered his neck wound.
“AHHH!!!” She screamed out loud enough to shatter the windows. Max reached up and grabbed her one bloody tit and smeared the blood all over it. He pumped into her three times hard and watched as she convulsed around his cock. The sight took him to the edge. He filled her with cum and collapsed into the leather. He was dizzy. His vision was blurry. But he knew he was still very much alive. His overworked cock was still jumping inside of Scar.
He tried to catch his breath. He knew he was a sick twisted son-of-a-bitch but it was too late now. He crossed the line and the line after that and the line that hid from the other lines. Shit! Scar was amazing. He had never come harder than that. He actually saw stars, colorful stars and a few yellow diamonds and green clovers.
“There’s blood everywhere.”
“You made a mess. You’ve been a vamp long enough to know how to stay clean.”
“I’m always clean.”
“Really.”
“I don’t know why I was so messy. It was because you were moving inside me.”
“Was I supposed to play dead?”
“No.” Scar frowned.
Max decided to stop with the wisecracks. “There are napkins up front in the middle.”
Scar lifted herself off of Max’s cock. He was soft but not yet flaccid. She turned and reached over the seat. Max stared at her ass and all the icing that decorated her round rear.
She turned to him and handed him two napkins. “I have to clean up in the bathroom.”
“Me too.” Max wiped the blood from her chin. “Let’s just throw our shit on and go in.” They both went to various corners of the car to retrieve their clothing.
CHAPTER 13
The ride back to the hotel was fairly quiet. When they pulled into the lot of the Harvester Motel things seemed to lighten up. Max turned off the car as Scar grabbed the paper bags of fast food.
“Scar, I don’t want to let you go.”
“Don’t let me go.” Scar pleaded.
“Things between us have changed in a way that I can’t even wrap my mind around.”
“I’m happy to hear you say that because I don’t know what the hell is going on.”
Max smiled and Scar returned it. She sure seemed like old Scar. He could almost forget that she fanged him. No he couldn’t really ever forget that.
They got out the truck and walked up the stairs to room 224. They entered and Ryan was sitting up in one of the beds with Cyan tucked under his arm.
“What took you guys so long?”
“Line, long line.” Max lied.
Ryan’s forehead creased. “Cyan’s really tired and hungry. She talked to me. Oh my god Max, every little thing she does is magic. She showed me how she makes fire.
“Black demon magic.” Max says. Scar shoots him the evil eye as she removes food from the bags and places it on the one lone desk.
“When she touches me she can communicate. It’s like some psychic ability or something.” Ryan gets off the bed and walks over to the bags of food.
“That’s how she talks to me.” Scar adds.
“How can she do that? You’re not possessed anymore so how can she send images to you.” Max asked concerned by all this magical crap.
“I don’t know, maybe because I’m her dad. I told her not to kill any more people.
Max’s twisted his lips. “I’m sure that’s going to work.”
“Cyan said Scar told her the same thing and she promised me she won’t start any fires or kill any humans.”
Scar crawled into bed with Cyan and handed her some chicken nuggets and cold fries. Ryan looks back and sees that Scar is feeding his kid and he doesn’t have to. He sits at the desk and eats a burger while Max sits on the vacant twin bed with a double meat burger of his own. Max watches as Scar shares fries with Cyan. They all eat in silence. The television plays as background noise.
“So what, you believe her?” Max asked Ryan in a whisper. “You believe she won’t kill anyone else.”
“Yeah Max I do.” Ryan whispered back.
“Why?”
“I don’t know. She said Scar said not to. She likes Scar and wants to keep her.”
Ryan and Max looked over at the other bed. Scar was cuddling Cyan. The little girl had fallen asleep in her arms.
Ryan tilted his head toward the door. “Let’s step outside.”
Some conversations were meant to be private. Sure Scar’s eyes were closed but she had that vampire hearing. The Fox’s both stepped outside the motel room door.r />
Ryan spoke first. “I think I should let Scar take Cyan with her.”
“You got to be fucking kidding me.”
“No, Max.”
“She is not some lone killer vamp. She is one of Drack’s followers. Remember him. He’s the big game.”
“I know who he is.”
“He’s the guy the locked your ass away only to let you leave to be possessed by him.”
“I know all that but he didn’t kill me. He let me go. He even jumped my body with me still being intact.”
“That’s what you call it.”
“I’m still alive Max. Drack could have killed me and he didn’t.”
“Are you seriously considering letting a vampire and a hybrid raise your daughter? Ryan, bro you are off your meds.”
“I mean do we have any other options. Everyone in our family is dead.”
“Yeah but—”
“Who Max? Uncle Donny is a heavy drinker and a hunter.”
“Cyan has an aunt, Patricia.”
“Patricia is clueless. She would have to move and get another identity. You want to tell her about vampires and demons? Can she even control a kid that can shoot fireballs or whatever other supernatural powers she has?”
“Well no but—”
“Cyan is my daughter. We’re connected. She’s in my heart. I love her. I felt it the first time I saw her. We can’t take a two-year-old hunting with us.”
“No butt—”
“She knows her mother is dead. Scar explained it to her. She has no one. I love this kid but I’m not a mother.”
“And a vampire is a good mother.”
“Maybe not for a human kid but we know Cyan is more than human.”
“Fuck dude.”
“Cyan wants to be with Scar.”
“Do you hear yourself? You want Scar the newbie vampire to raise your half demon kid. I remember you when you were possessed. Ryan man, you should not have been walking the streets.”
“Cyan will not be like me. I won’t let that happen.”
“There is no guarantee that you won’t have to put her down.”
“Like you put Scar down?” Ryan sneered.
“Wh-what?” Max stammered.
“Dude you fucked a vampire but you want to question my decisions.”
“No way. What are you talking about?”
“What took so long for you two to come back with the food?”
“The place was crowded.”
“What happened at the barn when she kidnapped you?”
“Nothing.”
“Bullshit! Your neck is bleeding. You fed her your blood.”
Max reached up a squatted the small droplet of blood that had rose to the surface. Max slapped his hand away.
“Ryan look.”
“Just shut up. I hear your argument but one day Vampir, McIlroy or some other vampire, demon or white wolf will come for my daughter. Scar is powerful. Powerful enough that she has a direct line to the most powerful hybrid ever. Scar may be the only one able to protect Cyan. If she has to do it through that hybrid asshole then so be it.”
“This stinks to high heaven.”
“She’s my daughter. It’s my decision.”
Max shook his head in disbelief. He had a bad feeling about this. Giving Cyan to Drack by way of Scar was a terrible idea. He would probably use Cyan as a weapon, a weapon against them one day. Was he being a hypocrite? Of course he was. He had slept with Scar twice, well three times now that she was a vamp and he had even let her drink his blood. He wasn’t proud of it but Scar still had a major piece of his heart, the piece that he wasn’t willing to let go.
He never really thought Scar would hurt a child but it was Drack he was concerned with. Why would their enemy, the hybrid they hunt, offer their family member any protection? It just didn’t sit right with him but he knew Ryan had made up his mind. Short of kidnapping Cyan he really didn’t have any choice but to let her go with Scar.
***
Scar was a vampire and daylight was her biggest foe. She would have to leave a few hours before daybreak to get to a secure location, an underground location. Cyan was still asleep. Ryan placed her sleeping in Scar’s Jeep.
Sure he was leery but Ryan felt like this was the best decision he could make. When he talked to her daughter he had this feeling that she would be better cared for with Scar. Cyan was able to touch him and convey all the things Scar had shared. He was surprised by the images she gave him.
Scar wanted to be a mother. She promised Cyan she would keep her safe and teach her things. It felt like Scar loved his daughter even though that seemed impossible. Could it had been that Cyan made people and monsters love her? He wasn’t sure.
Ryan kissed his sleeping daughter on the forehead. He secured her in the seatbelt and closed the door.
“Scar.”
“Ryan just call. We can FaceTime. I will always be available to answer your calls. This is not a trick.”
“Yeah I’m just—”
“Worried. You’re supposed to be. You’re a father. I had one of those once upon a time.”
“Yeah right, me too.” Ryan forged a smile.
“Stay with her. I’m going to say goodbye to your brother.”
“Good luck with that.”
Scar walked away from the Jeep. She landed a few parking spaces down where Max was leaning on his truck pouting.
“Hey you.” She greeted him as he looked up into her eyes.
“I never got to say goodbye to you the last time.”
“Is this goodbye?” Scar asked.
“It sure seems like it to me.”
“It’s see you later.”
“Later but under what circumstances?”
“What is it about me that you don’t trust?”
Max chuckled. “You are not the problem.”
“What is so funny?”
“I don’t trust myself. I see you and it’s like everything I was ever taught means nothing. You are not the same Scar I used to know but for some reason I don’t even seem to care. I don’t trust myself.”
Scar took Max’s hand in hers. “For a long time I wondered why me? I mean seriously. My parents were murdered. My brother is a vamp. I am a vamp. What are the odds? I, lose, you. I lose my chance at happiness and why? What did I do? I questioned God. Then I realized do I even have the right to talk to him anymore. I’m a vampire. Do we believe in God? Is that allowed?”
“I don’t have the answers. I’m just as confused as you. I want to stop caring about you.”
“Max I feel the same way. I want to stop having feelings for you to but I can’t. I try to forget about you and I just can’t do it.”
“Seeing you again was the best.” Max cracked a boyish grin.
“Yes but it was bad too, right?”
“Yes.” He agreed.
“The more I tried to forget about you the harder it got.”
“I don’t want to forget about you.” Max shook his head no.
“I don’t want to forget about you but we’re on the opposite ends of the world. I’m a bad girl now. I’ve done bad things.”
“We all do bad things. I cannot believe I let you drink my blood.” Max smiled thinking of it. He was really hardcore now.
“Yeah you let me do it. Your blood taste so hunter rich and delicious.”
Max watched as Scar’s eyes rolled to the back of her head. “I’m already freaked I let you fang me so please don’t enjoy it so much.”
Scar chuckled. “Please be safe.” Scar pulled Max into a hug. He held her tight and she kissed his cheek.”
“You are so badass now.”
“Yeah I know.” Scar shrugged. “Stay sly fox, cause I got big plans for you.” Scar winked and licked her lips. Max watched her walk away and he waited until his brother walked up. They waited for Scar to pull away first and then they followed her out of the motel parking lot. They turned out but in the opposite direction.
EPILOGUE
S
car was back to the place that she now called her home. She had no idea how long she would be here but Drack had made her believe that she could come and go as she pleased. That was just as long as she didn’t stray too far away.
Scar hated to admit she found a sense of comfort in being a part of Drack’s protected few. She had learned many things being a part of his crew. She learned that she wasn’t the only one under Drack’s protection but she learned that Max and Ryan were also under his cloak of protection. Why would a hybrid protect hunters wasn’t clear but whatever Drack ordered was gospel. It was unwritten law but the Fox Brothers were off limits. Scar wondered if that was because Drack wanted to kill them himself. She would never dare ask. You were never allowed to question him.
Scar never told Max anything about Drack. She didn’t see what good it would do. She had a mission and Drack made it clear her vampire brother would be safe as long as she pledged her loyalty to him above all others.
Scar had full access the Drack’s mansion. She passed vampires and demons and they all nodded their heads at her when she approached. It was weird going from a low level vamp to the right hand of the King.
Scar had been summoned and she walked the long halls to get to the wing of the mansion that Drack spent the majority of his time. The heartbeat Drack gave her heightened her senses and she followed the sounds until she was close to her Lord.
She walked past his bed and stopped outside the opulent bathing room. The door was open so she didn’t bother to knock.
“Scarlet come.” Drack called out to her in a whisper that echoed in her chest. His voice was just as powerful as his presence and so difficult to resist.
Scar walked through the doorway. She stood before a huge pool of pure milky white water. What was it with the color white? All the furniture was white, his clothing was white everything was white.
Drack was nude, partially submerged in the pool. His head was tilted back. His eyes were closed. Scar tried not to stare but she couldn’t help it. She was just happy he wasn’t staring back at her.
“I am here, my Lord.” She rolled her eyes. She couldn’t help it. It just sounded so stupid and strange. She hated to say that bullshit but Drack took that Lord mess seriously.
Drack slowly opened his eyes and peered up at Scar. He may have smiled but it was difficult to tell, he was so rigid, so stiff, so undeniably attractive but still odd.
