Exacting Revenge

She squirms, owning my cock. Dipping forward, I trail my hungry mouth along her stomach, inhaling her intoxicating, natural scent. Rolling my face, I memorize the texture of her perfect skin as she digs her fingers into my hair, pressing me further into her flesh.
I lose what little patience I started with and snap the side of her silky underwear.
Maneuvering a knee between hers, she allows her legs to fall open. I snake one hand around her ass where I grab a handful. The other fondles the folds of her wet pussy.
She gasps, and I can’t wait any longer. I bury myself in her pulsing slit, using my tongue to taste her juices.
She tastes just as perfect as she smells.
I grip her ass cheek tighter as my tongue finds her clit. The flawless little nub is stiff.
“Goddamn,” Jolene moans.
I sink a finger into her begging pussy while massaging her strumming, firm bud. She grabs a chunk of my hair, bucking wildly, pressing herself into me.
That’s my girl.
“Fuck me,” she pants.
I pull my mouth away for a brief second. “Oh, darlin. It’s coming.” I promise.
Her body bows, and I know this is the end.
“Ronin, shit. I’m gonna come! Shit. Shiiiit….” Her hands are buried in my locks as she holds my head down.
Not that I mind.
When she’s done, I stand at the foot of the bed. Somewhere in all the excitement, I’ve already lost my t-shirt. I pop the button open on my jeans and release the zipper. Her mouth parts and she wets her lips with her tongue.
I feel the liquid from my hard dick almost thanking me as I drop my jeans, stepping out of them, leaving them in a heap on the floor.
Her gaze is locked on my hard-on. She’s not shy and that’s fucking hot with two t’s.
“You ready?”
She gives me a hungry, lopsided smile. “I think I should be asking you that.”
“Why do you say that?”
“Because sucking your dick makes me sloppy wet.”
Fuck, it’s going to be a long night.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
(Jolene)
“Jo, hey!” Jessa flings open the bedroom door. She throws her hands in the air and panic agitates in her make-up smudged eyes.
“What the fuck?” Ronin grows heated. Grabbing the sheet, he tucks it tightly around his bare waist and flies out of the bed.
“Ok, hold on,” I start, also attempting to shield my naked, sex ravaged body from my sister. I would have kicked her out myself if it weren’t for the haunted expression draped across her face. “Let me see what she wants. It might be important.”
He breaks his gaze from Jessa, frowning at me. “More important than this?” He asks, wide-eyed, waving a single hand down his rock-hard flesh.
I can’t help but giggle at his lack of modesty.
“Are you two fucking kidding me right now?” She stands in the doorway, gawking.
I raise my brow until he groans and relents.
“Fine.”
I ignore his sarcasm and follow Jessa into the vast hallway.
“What the hell?”
“Jo, I don’t know what to do. I’m freaking the fuck out.” Her tan legs wobble as she struts up and down the hardwood.
“What has you so worked up?” I shake my head, struggling to make sense of what’s going on.
“Ruth is really fucked up. She’s not talking to me or anyone else. Pop got pissed and told me to deal with her. He’s out back with his head buried deep in convo with Wizard.” She halts, folding her arms across her narrow chest. “Jo, I don’t like him.”
“Wizard? Why not?” I think for a moment. I can’t recall ever really getting to know the man. Just days ago, he was still a prospect. He does seem to be riding under the radar since the vote.
“I don’t know. I get a bad feeling in my gut when he’s around. And this shit with Ruth? When have you ever seen her lose her cool like this?”
My shoulders slump. “Something’s not adding up. I’ll admit that. In the meantime, we can’t leave her alone. Try to stay calm. Keep your eyes and ears open. Got it?”
My sister nods, still dazed.
I step forward, swaddling my arms around her frail neck, I pull her close. The overpowering scent of pungent gardenias assaults my senses, watering my eyes and striking my nose. Her signature perfume.
“Everything will be fine.” I take her tense face in my hands and make eye contact. “You have to trust me.”
Jessa pauses before dropping her head and stomping away.
I gather myself, standing up straight with my chin in the air. This is not the time for weakness. I’ve never looked at myself as the VP’s old lady. Being the president’s daughter easily overshadows that fact, but there’s been a shift. My connection to Ronin is growing. I crave him. His happiness. His safety. It’s all that matters to me. I may not know what’s at the root of this shit, but I know it’s my job to be at my man’s side. He needs me to remain strong. He deserves at least that.
“Hey, darlin.” Ronin is fully dressed and sitting on the edge of the messy bed lacing up his boots. “Everything good?”
“Yep, all taken care of.” I pop my lips, teasing him. “Where you headed?”
“Time to check on things. I need to have a word with the old man. Get some shit lined out.”
Air stalls in my throat. “I think he’s out back with Wizard.” I wait for a reaction.
Instead, he stands, offering a sexy grin. “Cool,” he says, fixing a heated kiss on the side of my neck before disappearing, giving nothing away about Wizard.
If only I could forget the fear in my sister’s eyes.
I opt to get supper started. With Ruth out of commission, I intend to make the old woman proud.
“Jolene, there you are.” Brad slips up behind me, not giving a shit that my head is buried in the refrigerator.
“What do you want?”
He squints his malicious eyes. “I was thinking it’s been a while.”
“A while?”
“Yeah, you know.” He leans in, blocking my escape. The stench of liquor and cigarettes pour from his gaping mouth.
What did I ever see in this fuckwad?
I squint back.
He grins, assuming I’m flirting. The old song and dance.
The rage I’ve been harboring for this man boils up from my belly and into my gut.
I return the smile, really fucking with his head. I wait until I believe he’s taken the bait before raring back my knee and planting it square between his legs.
“OWW! Fuck!” Brad doubles over. One hand on his wounded sac and the other on the kitchen floor.
I toss my head back in laughter. I don’t know why I waited so long to give him what he deserves.
Bonnie rushes into the room. “What happened?”
I follow her gaze as it lands on the heaping pile of shit crumpled on the tile.
Her eyes round. “Oh, never mind,” she says, causing me to laugh harder.
“Why don’t you get a group together and get a meal going for the boys. We have stuff for chili. Something hearty might be good for the alcohol soaked bellies.”
“On it.” That’s Bonnie, no nonsense.
I peer out the window. Apparently, just in time.
I observe the three men, deep in conversation. Pop, Ronin, and Wizard.
Where did this guy come from?
Ronin is standing before the other two. His stance is wide, rigid. He’s on guard as he spins and marches toward the house.
Here we go.
He storms passed me and busts into the living room. “Clint, a minute.” His words are brusque, garnering the attention of everyone around.
Clint looks to me.
I shrug.
The men vanish into the garage. I find it the perfect opportunity to check on Ruth.
I knock on the heavy, wooden door, waiting for a response. I’m surprised when Jessa pops her head out of a small gap.
r /> “Oh, come in.”
She’s in protection mode. It’s a rare occasion when she thinks of someone other than herself. She must be seriously upset.
Ruth is lying on her side. Her hands are folded under her cheek as she stares at the wall.
“She’s been like this for hours. No talking, just laying there.”
I survey my mother-figure. Her color is still pale and ashen. Her eyes are dull and glassy.
“Ruth,” I start, resting on the edge of the bed. I spot the untouched tray of lunch. “You’re going to have to eat something.”
Jessa shakes her head. “She hasn’t eaten all day.”
I give a loud sigh. “Come on. You know, if you don’t eat, you’re going to get sick. Sooner or later you’re going to have to talk to us. We’ve let you rest and take some time, but we’re going to want answers about the pill bullshit. You know we didn’t tell Pop.”
Ruth rolls over, huffing. “Yeah, I gathered.” Anger falls across her face. Hard lines settle around her mouth and along her forehead.
“Ok, that’s enough. What the fuck is going on?”
Jessa moves from the corner where she retreated to when I came into the room. She positions herself on the bed as Ruth props herself up against the ridiculous stack of pillows. This entire house is ridiculous.
“Fine. What do you want to know?” She asks defiantly with her hands clasped in her lap. I struggle to keep my composure in check, not wanting to send her crawling back into fucking isolation.
“First, the pills. What were you thinking?”
Jessa scoots closer to the woman.
Ruth peers at her before glancing back to me. “You both think you have everything figured out.” She scoffs. “You don’t know shit. You know nothing about this life, only what they let you know. Everyone thinks it’s all fun and games. Playing outlaw…” Her words trail.
My heartbeat hastens. The air in the room becomes thin.
Ruth shakes her head. “My entire life has been a lie.” She blinks, releasing the mounting tears to spill down her sagging cheeks. “Girls, you have to listen to me.”
She sits up straight, darting her concerned gaze between her two daughters. She taught us long ago the word ‘step’ had no place in our family. The day she and Pop got married, decades earlier, she made it clear that she did not have step-kids, only the children who were meant to own her heart. And she has lived by that every day since.
I remember thinking it was sappy, but not today. Not thinking back on all the years of sacrifice and giving of herself for others. No, her words from that wedding day ring in my ears.
“You have to watch your backs, both of you. Shit’s getting real deep and I don’t know where I’m gonna land. I can’t say any more than that right now.” She drops her face in her into her trembling hands.
I seize her wrist, forcing her to look me in the eyes. “Now it’s your turn. You listen to me. Everything is going to be ok. Ronin and Pop will handle this shit with the Pistol Kings and…”
Ruth breaks away from my grasp and leaps up from the bed, bounding across the room with force. “No,” she shouts, sending a shudder rippling through my core. “Don’t you get it?”
“As a matter of fact, No, I don’t”
“You can’t…” Ruth’s words die in her throat as the bedroom door flings open wide.
Pop spots the three of us. He furrows her graying brow. “Secret pow wow going on?”
Ruth steps away, her body still sluggish from her time spent indisposed. “No, they were just catching me up on what I’ve missed. I think I’ll get a quick shower and check on the girls.” Her gaze lands on me.
That earlier shudder is now a full-blown quake.
“Ah,” Pop rubs his non-existent belly. “That shit they got going on in the kitchen has got my stomach screaming.”
The huge house smells of searing meat and a surplus of deep, fiery spices.
My own tummy churns, mercilessly reminding me that I haven’t eaten since the night before.
“I guess I’d better see if they need help. Jessa?” I jerk my head toward the door.
“Oh, yeah, following you.” She drops her head as we leave the two of them alone. Maybe that’s what Ruth needs. Maybe that’s what they both need.
Jessa grabs my shoulder, spinning me half-circle to face her. “Seriously? What the fuck was all that about?”
“I really don’t know, but nothing has changed. Stay alert. Eyes and ears open. And remember, a bitch knows nothing.”
She twists her lips to one side. Tears well in her dark gaze.
I snap, shaking her by the shoulders. “Stop it!” I quickly lower my voice, my chest heaving. “You need to get your shit together. Do you hear me? I don’t what the hell’s happening, but I refuse to let this family fall apart. I refuse to let this club fall apart. Now, you are a goddamn Miller. Start fucking acting like it.”
Adrenaline pumps through my veins. Her wide-eyed stare and gaping mouth signals that my brash words take us both by surprise. I don’t wait for a response.
I march away with a new purpose.
***
I scrape the bottom of the large bowl with the butt end of a rolled-up flour tortilla before going back for a second helping. The males have retreated behind locked doors, something that probably should have waited until the sober light of day.
“Hey, you want some help with that?” Patsy smirks, catching me struggling to eat from my bowl while still ladling from the large vat of chili.
I laugh, wiping stray sauce from my bottom lip. “No, thanks, I’m good,” I say, strategically placing the lid on the simmering pot. “How about you? Get enough to eat?”
“Too much.” She busies herself by putting away food and cleaning up trash. “Actually, I’m glad to get a minute alone with you.”
I cock my head to the side. “Something on your mind?”
“Yeah, I guess. Things are moving pretty fast with Clint. You probably noticed.” Heat flushes across her already rosy cheeks.
I chuckle at the visible admission of what can only be love.
She gazes at her feet, clicking the tip of her chipped boot against the other. “I’m really into him. And I think he feels the same way.”
“That’s obvious.”
“Well, I’m not so sure everyone sees it as a good thing.”
Her statement puzzles me. “What do you mean?”
“Some of the girls have been talking. They think I still have a loyalty to Zombie. You know that’s not true, right?”
“Hey, you have nothing to prove. Not anymore. I’m sure the bitches talking shit are the just thirsty and they’re just pissed because they thought they were due. That next in line bullshit, but we know Clint’s not like that. He doesn’t play games. Look,” I pause, waiting for her to make eye contact. “I know you’ve been an old lady for a long time, but that was with Zombie. You lived by a bitch’s mentality. You need to start owning your shit.”
“Do Jesse and Ruth feel the same way?”
“Is that what you’re worried about?”
She nods without hesitation.
“If that’s what’s been holding you back, woman, let it go. If they had a problem with your budding romance, you would know about it by now. They’re not exactly known for their subtlety. Now, pull up those old lady panties and know your role.”
A full smile breaks out across Patsy’s face.
“Can someone come do something about this dipshit?” Tammy stands in the middle of the large entryway that connects the kitchen to the living room.
“Who?” Patsy and I ask in unison.
“That idiot that owns the house. For real, someone needs to put him out of his fucking misery.”
Tammy’s cryptic message creates a heaviness in my chest. I’m ready for this damn day to be over.
Patsy and I follow Tammy to find a shirtless Brad, laid back on the couch, attempting to whisper disgusting pickup lines in a girl’s ear, only his words are loud and
breathy. I recognize the woman. She’s made her rounds – a bitch working her way through the soldiers in search of locking down a patch holder.
Now, the unsuspecting female looks more like a terrified animal caught in an agonizing trap. Brad’s hand is halfway up her skirt while the other grips her by the back of the neck.
“Get the fuck off her!”
He rotates, snarling in my general direction, too drunk to focus. “Oh, joy. The has-been is here. Don’t go getting all jealous. There’s enough Brad to go around, ladies.”
“Fucker.” Tammy moves to the girl’s side, who is now leaning against the wall opposite the couch, brushing her open hands along her legs as if she were trying to wipe away his unwelcome touch.
Patsy sweeps past me and plants herself toe to toe with Brad.
His typically cocky demeanor gives way to inebriated confusion.
My newly confident friend levels her gaze, drawing her mouth into a hard line before finally speaking.
“You lay one more hand on a female in this house without her permission and I will personally make sure you have nothing left to touch a female with, you got it? Nothing.”
Her promise is simple, calm, yet it still manages to send waves of chill bumps across my flesh. Brad’s cold, small eyes are now the size of saucers.
Patsy doesn’t wait for confirmation. No, she spins on her heels, strutting back to the kitchen with a new glint dancing in her gaze. A teasing grin curls in the corners of her lips. She holds her head high and her frail shoulders back.
Looks like it’s a new fucking day.
“Hey, there she is.”
I turn to see who Bonnie is referring to, pleased to see Ruth has showered, dressed, and is ready to make a necessary appearance.
“I couldn’t resist that yummy smell one second longer. Any chili left?”
Patsy giggles. “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask Jolene about that.”
Ruth whirls around, catching me mid death glare. “What’s she talking about?”
I shrug, realizing my tummy is now rebelling against the spicy combination of chili peppers and seasoning. “Nothing. I was a little hungry, that’s all.”
