“Carte…” She took it out, with her heart hammering faster than a freight train.
“Tonica, will you be my wife?” he asked.
She looked up from the enormous diamond and noted Carte had slipped to the floor on bended knee. Nude as the day he’d been born.
Be married to a man who made every day feel like she was a princess? A man who understood her unlike anyone else. Despite how new their relationship seemed to be, she knew without doubt she wanted Carte forever. No one had ever fit with her personality like this. “YES!” Tonica screamed.
Carte shot up and tackled her onto the bed. He rained kisses down on her.
“Don’t worry about the flowers for the wedding,” Carte said, snuggling against her.
Tonica grinned. “Of course, tulips.”
