Stalking the Kilt

He moved slowly, not surprised to find Mason waiting at the bottom of the stage steps. The man had been glued to his side all day, which was growing tiresome. A glance toward the back of the room showed him that Sully remained seated the back row, no doubt waiting for him as well.

Dane’s cock, which had been hard for most of the last hour, finally softening ten minutes before, firmed right back up again as he met Sully’s gaze. He did not see anger or hatred in the man’s gaze, but a questioning hesitancy. Dinner was in an hour so there would not be time for a full-on, naked, bumping uglies apology, but they could at least talk, and Dane could apologize. After a day away from the man, he had realized that any time he could spend with the man would be a special, even if they did have less than forty hours left in which to be together.

Dane settled his messenger bag over his shoulder as he descended the stairs to join Mason, who waited there, bouncing in place like an over-caffeinated puppy.

“Oh my God, you were so great,” Mason gushed as he grabbed Dane and hugged him. “You are definitely my most favorite author in the world.”

Mason continued bouncing even as he hugged him. But Dane’s focus was not on the smaller man, but on the man now storming down the aisle toward them. Sully’s expression had Dane trying to pull back from Mason, but his self-proclaimed number one fan refused to release him. Instead, Mason shifted and pushed his erection into Dane’s hips, which shocked the hell out of Dane.

  Oh shit.

“Get yer dick skinners off him,” Sully growled as he stopped just behind Mason. “Tha’s my man yer squeezin’ like a pillow.”

Mason turned to look over his shoulder without releasing Dane. “Who the fuck are you? And what the hell’s a dick skinner?”

Mason’s lack of understanding did little to soften Sully’s anger, so Dane stepped in before Sully tore Mason’s arms off and beat him with them. “I believe he wants you to let me go, Mason. He does, after all, have prior claim, though I have no idea what a dick skinner is either.”

With that, Dane was able to peel Mason’s arms from around his body. Once free, he backed up two steps so there was plenty of room between them. Mason stared from him to Sully and back again, his expression growing increasingly dark. “He has prior claim? You should have told me you were taken instead of leading me on all day.”

Taking a step forward, Mason slapped Dane’s cheek, hard. Then he turned and ran from the room. Dane thought he heard the man sob just before he disappeared into the hallway.

“Well, I think I just lost my self-proclaimed number one fan,” Dane said as he rubbed his cheek. He blinked several times to keep the tears from the pain at bay. “So, where do you want to talk? I owe you an apology and an explanation.”

“Come with me,” Sully growled as he wrapped an arm around Dane’s shoulders.

The big man guided him out of the now empty meeting room and through the hotel. Neither man spoke until they were inside Sully’s suite with the door closed and the locks securely engaged.

Once they were alone, Dane forced himself to step away from Sully. He crossed the room before turning so he could look straight at him. “So, tell me, what is a dick skinner?”

Sully chuckled as he shook his head in disbelief. He began stripping off his clothes as he said, “Oh, mo run, you may be a creative and inventive murderer on paper, but you are such an innocent in real life.”

“I am not,” Dane said defensively.

He licked his lips as he watched Sully pull off all his clothes, dropping them on a chair just inside the bedroom. He did not stop until he was completely naked. Dane froze when the man turned and crossed the room toward him, his long, thick cock leading the way.

His protest had the man chuckling as he pulled Dane into his arms for a hug. “Yes, you are. A dick skinner is a hand. See?”

Reaching between them, Sully wrapped his hand around the middle of his long, erect, uncircumcised cock. He ran it up the appendage’s considerable length and then back down again. On the down stroke, the loose skin pulled back, exposing the head of his cock. The upstroke pushed the flesh up over the tip once again.

Dane watched, fascinated as the man played the most bizarre game of peek-a-boo he had ever witnessed. Licking his lips again, Dane dropped to his knees so he was eye to eye with Sully’s erection. Even if he couldn’t have the man forever, Sully was his for this moment.

And Dane was all for living in this moment.

On the next down stroke, he smiled as a drop of pre-cum appeared in the slit. Leaning in, he dragged the flat of his tongue across the tip before pulling back and savoring the flavor.

Before he could do more than taste, Sully stepped back. “Get naked, boy. I need in that sweet ass before I hae ta go downstairs and make a fool of meself tryin’ ta entertain the crowd.”

Pushing to his feet, Dane stripped off his clothes as fast he could, not caring where they flew in his rush to get naked. Though they needed to talk, it would have to wait until later. He needed to feel Sully sliding in and out of his ass as much as the man apparently needed to fuck him.

Once bare, Dane hurried into the bedroom, crawled on the bed, and wiggled his ass when Sully followed. “You want in this ass, big boy?”

Sully growled and then strode to the nightstand where the supplies he had picked up that morning waited. As he gloved up and added more slick to the condom, he watched Dane crawl across the mattress before turning and presenting his ass to him.

Dane sucked a breath when cold liquid was dribbled between his ass cheeks, then again when two slick-coated fingers pressed for entrance. Closing his eyes, he relaxed and pushed back as Sully opened him up. By the time Sully pulled his fingers and replaced them with his latex-covered cock, Dane was panting hard.

“Please, Sully. Need you. Fuck me,” he begged.

“Need you, too, mo run. This is going to be fast and hard,” Sully said, his voice deep and growly.

With that, he pushed in. He did not stop until his hard, thick length was fully embedded in Dane’s body.

  ****

Sully stopped once his cock was fully buried in Dane’s ass. Clenching every muscle in his body barely kept the orgasm that was balled up low in his gut from blowing. Taking several deep breaths, he felt it slowly back off enough that he might, just might, be able to give Dane a minute and a half of pleasure before he flew over the edge.

“Move, dammit,” Dane said a few seconds later as he began to rock back and forth on the bed, fucking himself on Sully’s cock.

That gave Sully a grand idea. “You move, boy. Fuck yerself on me staff.” Sully wrapped his hands around Dane’s hips and guided the man’s body back and forth on his cock.

Their grunts and groans and panting moans quickly escalated as Dane moved faster and harder up and down his length. On the edge of his orgasm once again, Sully reached around Dane’s hip and wrapped his hand around his cock. It only took a few strokes before Dane was crying out with his orgasm as his cock pulsed in Sully’s grip.

When Dane’s muscles clamped painfully tight around his cock, Sully’s hips thrust forward twice before he flew over the edge and came as well. His seed filled the condom as he fought to stay on his feet. He did not want to crush Dane by collapsing on him.

By the time he regained the feeling in his legs, his cock had softened. After kissing the back of Dane’s neck, he separated their bodies before going into the bathroom and cleaning up. Once done, he brought back a warm, wet washcloth, which he used to clean Dane up.

Feeling more relaxed than he had since waking up alone that morning, Sully lifted Dane from where he was sprawled the bed. “Come on, mo run. I hafta get dressed, and then we’ll go ta yer room so ye can change before we go downstairs and I make a fool of meself.”

Dane looked sleepy as he smiled up at him. “All right, my Celtic love. Then, when ye’re done, I’ll buy ye drinks, and take wild advantage.”

Sully laughed at the man’s horrible Scottish brogue. “Ye will?”
<
br />   “Aye, laddie, I will,” Dane said.

Sully quickly pulled on the outfit he had agreed to wear for the presentation. Navy blue kilt, white dress shirt, socks, and boots.

Dane was slower in dressing as he watched. “You do know you need to wear something under that kilt, don’t you?”

Sully blinked and frowned. “What do ye mean?”

“Going regimental in Texas could get us arrested. I know you’re a proud Scotsman and all, but I really don’t want to have to bail you out for indecent exposure,” Dane said as he pulled on his own clothes. “Nor do I want to get arrested for assaulting anyone who tries to play kilt inspector.”

Sully chuckled and shook his head. Seeing Dane was serious, he pulled a pair of navy blue briefs of his suitcase. Once he pulled them on and adjusted his clothes once more, he grinned at the now clothed Dane. “Happy now?”

“Yes, thank you. I wouldn’t want to have to scratch out anyone’s eyes because they had caught a glimpse of what now belongs to me,” Dane said with a smirk as he crossed the room and straightened Sully’s shirt. Then his expression grew serious. “It does belong to me, right? I’m sorry I left this morning.”

“Aye, mo run, all of me definitely belongs to ye, for as long as ye’ll hae me.”

Dane nodded with a deep breath. “Thank you. Now, let’s go. I’m starving.”

  Chapter Seven

After a stop in Dane’s room so he could quickly change clothes, they made their way to the bar. Dane bought them each a drink—a double whiskey for Sully and a beer for himself. Then, carrying their drinks, they made their way through the hotel to the ballroom where dinner was to be served.

Maggie Fields waited just outside the double doors leading into the room. “Oh, Mr. McKellen, I was about to send the Rangers out to look for you.”

“Aye, here I am,” Sully said, sounding like he was going to his own execution instead of a simple dinner and talk about his work. “Now, what’s the plan for the evenin’?”

“You’ll be sitting at the large table in the middle of the room with a number of fans. We’ve already set the table up with the gifts your publisher sent for them. Afterwards, Gwen will make a few announcements about tomorrow and then call you forward. Would you rather make a speech or have her do a question and answer interview type program?”

“Question and answer, please,” Sully responded before looking at Dane. “Where will ye be, mo run?”

“I’m not sure,” Dane answered honestly. He had not thought to see where he was sitting. “Let me go check while you go in and say hello to the people sitting at your table. I’ll be there in just a moment.”

“Hurry,” Sully said, giving his hand a squeeze before releasing it.

Dane watched as Maggie slid her arm through Sully’s and dragged him along behind her into the ballroom. Never had he seen a writer so hesitant about meeting his public as Sully appeared to be.

Turning to the table where another of the hostesses sat with a map of the room, he got in line behind several others to find out where he was seated. When he reached the line, he was disappointed to find out that he was not sitting at Sully’s table, though he had requested it. He was sitting at a table in the back of the room with a handful of others, none of whom he knew.

When he found Sully, the man had finished his drink and looked a little more settled in his skin. He was sitting at his table, talking sports with several of the people closest to him. Dane stepped up and waited until the man to Sully’s right finished a story. Then he bent so his lips were next to Sully’s ear.

“I’m sitting at the table over there.” He discreetly pointed to the table where he had been assigned. “When you’re finished with your presentation, I’ll be waiting.”

Sully nodded without saying a word.

By the time Dane reached the table, the only open seat was the one that put his back to the front of the room so he could not see Sully while he ate. He had barely sat down when Maggie Fields was there tapping his shoulder for attention.

“Mr. Murphy, will you please come with me?” she said. “Mr. McKellen has, um, requested you join him at his table since someone didn’t show up.”

Dane blinked as he processed what the woman was saying. So, Sully had pulled his man-diva card to keep him close. “Um, sure. That would be great,” he said as he stood and followed her back to front of the room.

Sully had rearranged things so the open seat was just to his right. When Dane sat down, the big man gave him a smile. Leaning close, he said in a low voice for Dane’s ears only, “Ye’ll stay by me side from here on, mo run. I’ll not be losin’ ye like I did this mornin’, ken?”

“Yes, Sully,” Dane said with a grin. His stomach jumped, and his cock twitched as happiness filled him.

True to his word, Sully kept Dane by his side during their trip through the buffet dinner. Though he talked with the others at the table, Sully’s right hand was under the table, resting on Dane’s thigh, as if to assure himself Dane was real.

He knew how the Scotsman felt. From the time he had followed Sully through the airport, Dane felt as if he had been caught up in a dream.

Sully’s interview appeared painless, though the man looked nervous even as he answered questions, both from Gwen, the mistress of ceremonies, and from the audience. He kept his answers light and noncommittal when it came to his personal life, other than to acknowledge that yes, he had been knighted by Queen Elizabeth earlier that year, and he did, indeed, live in a castle in the Highlands of Scotland that he had inherited from his parents.

As he listened, Dane felt less and less worthy of the man, even as he found his fanboy lust growing into love. It did not matter to his heart that they barely knew each other and that they would be parting ways in less than a day and a half. None of that mattered. He had the man’s attention now, and instead of running as he had that morning, Dane vowed he would savor every second he could spend with Sully.

By the time Sully finished speaking and wading through the fans who wanted a private word, Dane could see it was time to take the man for a walk outside the hotel so Sully could relax a bit before returning for the evening’s gathering. Or maybe they could just head upstairs and spent the rest of the evening snuggling and talking.

Once the last pair of women walked away, Dane stepped up. “How about a walk?” he asked with a gentle, understanding smile. Being in the spotlight was a draining experience, especially to a private person like Sully.

Sully sighed and nodded. “Lead the way,” he said with a tired smile.

Dane did not look behind him as he wove his way through the crowd and out of the ballroom. Once they were in the hall, Sully caught up and took Dane’s hand. That touch reignited the hunger Dane thought he had reined in during dinner. Dane headed them toward the front door, knowing there were at least two bars just across the street so they would not have to go back upstairs for their coats.

Just outside the hotel, Sully pulled him to a stop. Dane looked up and watched as Sully took a long, slow, deep breath. He held it for a moment before releasing it in a whoosh. Then he smiled as he looked down at Dane. “I did it. I survived my worst nightmare, so now I can relax and focus on you.”

Dane grinned up at him. “You did great. I don’t think anyone else knew you were scared to your knickers. Now, I promised you drinks and debauchery once you finished for the day, didn’t I?”

Sully took another deep breath as he looked around. “Yes, ye did. While we’re walkin’ would it be a’right if we stopped for some food? Now that my belly’s settled, I’m hungry.”

Dane started walking toward the corner. “There’s a great burger place about three blocks away with a drug store and liquor store nearby. We can get you some dinner then pick up supplies.”

“Thanks, mo run,” Sully said as they walked side by side but not touching. “I’ll make it up ta ye, somehow.”

  ****

By Saturday night, Dane found himself fully in love with the big kilt-wear
ing Scotsman. Which hurt more than he could describe when he realized they only had a few hours before they went their separate ways.

He also understood Sully’s hermit-like behavior. The man was so shy he had a hard time speaking to the fans who were lined up across the ballroom waiting for him to autograph their purchases. Dane wasn’t sure if it was because the room had been set up alphabetically, or if Sully demanded it, but Dane was situated at the table right beside him.

And with each person he spoke to, Sully directed them to stop by and purchase one of Dane’s books as well. Once he sold out of the books he had available to sell, Dane left his bookmarks, pins, and other goodies on his table in the hopes other readers would take them and went to play guard dog for Sully. After that the line moved a little faster because it soon became obvious that Sully was spoken for and no longer had to find polite ways to decline invitations from nearly every person in line, male and female.

Once the book signing ended, Dane packed up what was left of his swag and waited while Sully finished speaking to Maggie Fields, who was the last person in line. She was ecstatic they had sold out of all the books Sully’s publisher had sent.

After Sully dumped what was left on his table into a box, he looked to Dane. “Ready, mo run?”

Dane nodded, feeling exhausted and a little spacy. “Where to now?”

“Now we’re going upstairs, ordering room service, and going to bed early.”

Dane could not help the snorty laugh that escaped. “That’s what we did last night, but it was still after midnight when we fell asleep.”

“Aye, but tonight we’ll be sleeping early because I have to leave early for the airport,” Sully said. “I have to board my plane for home at ten-twenty.”

“I love you,” Dane said, then froze as he heard the words that burst out of his mouth.

He watched Sully closely, not sure how the man would react to his announcement. Sully blinked, and then a slow smile spread over his face. “I love ye, as well, mo run.”

Dane sucked a breath at Sully’s words. Then he released it on a sigh. “But you live in Scotland.”
