He desperately wanted to touch her. But she’d made her decision on that. “It isn’t easy being this close to you and not touch you.” He told her. “Everything in me, tells me you are my mate. That you respond to me like no other male would make you. And my logic tells me exactly how much you’d want me in return. My cybernetics and computer can do all that and more. I can tell how hot you are. When your desire heightens, I can scent your moods and emotions. Your skin tells me exactly what you are feeling and your body language, is a map to your body and feelings. Not much, can be hidden from a Cyborg.”

Chris blinked. Really? “That doesn’t leave much mystery does it? No faking it either.” She mused.

“I’m afraid not. Faking anything is a lie. Lies are not logical and a waste of resources. They do not have a function in our world.”

“Brutal honesty it is then!” She told him raising both eyes. He cracked a smile at her. Chris liked it. It looked good on him. He smelled good too. Clean and fresh like after rain. “Are you all so good looking? I’d not noticed it much before but today, you couldn’t fail to notice it with so many coming and going. I think most of the female population is going to go a little nut’s.”

“Umm. That wont matter if our DNA isn’t triggered.”

“I wouldn’t want to be the one that tells them that.”

“You won’t be. If we annex this world with the Empire, the Admiral will come calling. We look the way we do for a reason. They picked human men with genetic types. Looks, strength, endurance and combined them. The more appealing we were, the more successful we were at infiltration. It’s easier to get what you want with a pretty face.”

  “They used you like that?”

  “They used us for everything.”

Chris shook her head. “I never read that. I don’t know how you don’t hate us?”

“In the beginning, all of our emotions were off. It was the only way to cope with what happened to us. And for many, hating humans was the only way to survive. But they couldn’t function like that so, we severed all our emotions. It helped. We had to survive out here and humans ran the universe. ”

She could see that. “How’s the annexing going?”

“Most of it looks good from the reports my men are sending me. There are pockets of problems and we’ll give the Mayor and Order a chance to clear them up and in the end, it will either work or not.”

“I don’t want to leave here. This is my home. Sonny and Cally have been through enough. I can’t drag them off somewhere else. This is all they’ve known. My business is everything to us. Racle needs us too, now Meity…”

He reached out and took her hand. He system overloaded with the need to calm her. He didn’t like her upset. “Shush now, calm yourself. You are not going to do anything you do not wish to do. Whatever happens we can work this out.”

They were quiet for a moment. Him just brushing his thumb over the back of her hand. Her enjoying his touch. It was comforting. Then she yawned and tried to hide it. CraZ stood reluctantly breaking contact. “You should get some rest. Lock the door behind me as I go through. My men will be stationed around the place. You won’t see them, but they are there for your protection.”

She got up with him and walked to the door. Before he opened it, he turned to face her leaning down to her ear and whispered, so only they could hear his words. His men had very good hearing too. “The last thing I want to do is leave you but if I do not go now, I will take advantage of you being alone with me and before you draw your next breath, I will have killed the lights and be buried deeply inside you, drawing every ounce of pleasure from you until we’re both satisfied and when one is not enough, as it will not be, I will be on my knees with your legs around my face, eating you until you scream my name.” He pulled away and looked into her face. He could smell the heat of her body in response to his words as he’d spoken. The slight ‘o’ of her mouth told him he’d shocked her with his honestly. It was nothing compared to what the real thing would be but, he’d given her fair warning.

Holding on to every once of will power he had, he quickly swept his lips across hers savouring her taste and was gone, through the door. “Lock the door,” he called out roughly as he went. Then stood at a distance in the darkness near his man, as he watched her slowly close the door and lock it. Walk through the restaurant, turn off the lights and heard her ascending the stairs. “Nothing gets near them,” he gritted out to Bliz. The warrior standing with him.

Affirmative Commander. On my life I will protect your family.

He felt the ping on his neuro net and opened to the message. Taln. We need to talk.

  On my way.

Sleep had eluded her until the small hours. His words rolled around in her head over and over again. Images of CraZ doing exactly as he’d told her kept her awake. She’d never been so turned on in her life. Never before had she thought a man could make her come with just his words floating across her mind or that she’d crave one because he could. It seemed a little crazy, just like his name. Was he named CraZ because of this? She wiped that thought away with a huff. It was stupid thought. Thinking. The words kept rolling around in her mind. She’d tossed and turned all night. Eventually taken a cold shower. The need to come had been so intense. Her breasts heavy and aroused, her clit pulsing. She’d fought the need to touch herself. Embarrassed by needing it so badly. Damn the man! She’d never wanted anything so much in all her life. And never a man. Around 5am she’d given up trying and made real coffee. Not her normal practice but she needed something.

As expected, downstairs was quiet. Only her foot steps could be heard in the dim morning light streaming in through the windows as she made her way across the floor to the kitchen. Pushing the doors open she stepped through determined to take her mind off things. Perching in her stool, the grabbed a couple of cookery books and flicked through. There were a couple of recipes she’d been wanting to try. Picking one, she listed the ingredients. She could have pulled them up on her datapad but, it wasn’t the same as feeling the pages of a book and connecting to all those cooks who done the same thing. Like her nana told her, you couldn’t feel the love on a datapad. And good food had to be made with love.

Moving to her cold store, she checked she had all the items then got to work. She had a hankering for sweet pastry.

They’d spent the night following Cho. He was a busy man. There was no doubt that he had many business interests. It seemed the data on his holdings didn’t include everything. That wasn’t surprising. Logic dictates that anyone with clandestine business wasn’t wholly honest with those in charge. They tended to have something to hide. Cho certainly did. They’re observations told them many things. He was into extorsion, robbery, theft and had a gang who worked for him. He also had contacts at the Shipping Port and the Galactic Space Port areas. Then there were the warehouses, from which he sold on stolen goods. He had plenty of people working for him and a large reach. Including some of the Order, they witnessed him paying off. It was likely, that wasn’t the extend of it.

He’d put several of his men on the different enterprises Cho was running. They would keep him informed. CraZ had returned to the off-worlder to make his report to the Admiral. He waited for the connection.

The Admiral came up on screen. “CraZ, what do we have?”

“Sadly, the usual. There are a number of players either the Order and Mayor are unaware of or they are working with them or ignoring them. We found several of the Order being paid off last night. In the other towns, we hear similar things. The further out we get, the better it is. We also have a number of gang related businesses led by a couple of individuals. We have both under surveillance. There is a large illegal trade in stolen goods and people being targeted and extorted.”

The Admiral didn’t look happy. “Keep me posted. Do you need more men?”

CraZ shook his head. “No, they’re not weaponised passed basic weapons. We can handle that.”

  “Doesn’t lo
ok promising,” the Admiral told him.

“There are good people here Admiral.”

He looked at him directly. “A female?”

  “Yes. Maybe more than one.”

The Admiral nodded. “Ok, give me the data on taking out those we need to in order to make this work.”

  “Affirmative.” The screen cut off.

CraZ downloading the latest information supplied to him from his teams. He opened the ping on his neuro net from Bliz.

The female is up and appears to be working in the kitchen.

  Any problems?

  Negative.

  I will be there shortly.

The sweet smell was delicious. It permeated the kitchen. The timer went off on the old-fashioned oven. Getting up she donned heat proof gloves and walked over and pulled the doorway open. Inside, several trays of pastries looked lightly brown and fluffy. Chris pulled them free and placed the goods on cooling racks. She was ecstatic. They looked just like the picture! She’d used her usual substitute ingredients and had to come up with a couple of new ones, but they smelt heavenly. A loud knock on the front door interrupted her smell fest. She stilled, wondering who’d be knocking at just after six in the morning. Cautiously, she made her way out the kitchen and looked towards the front door. It was lighter now. To her surprise, CraZ stood in her doorway.

She was still in her nighty! She hadn’t expected anyone. Butterflies assaulted her stomach. He looked so good standing there. He cocked his head at her as if asking, ‘well’ and looked so cute. Chris couldn’t help but smile and walked to the door opening it quickly. Her apron her only cover.

CraZ stepped through the door. The female looked fine and had the most delicious scent about her. He’d watched her approach the door. She was still in her night ware and she’d been cooking. It mixed with her own natural scent and was an intoxicating combination. “You were cooking?” She looked down at herself and suddenly seemed to be aware of her lack of clothing. It registered on her face.

She nodded closing the door quickly behind him. “Something new, come and try it.” He watched her walk away back to the kitchen and everything in him hardened. The female was far too tempting.

He entered to find her placing some pastries on a plate, shaking something over them and asking if he’d like some coffee pointing to the stool. CraZ took it. She placed the coffee and plate beside him and sat with her own. “Tell me what you think?” He watched her bite into her own pastry. Her eyes sparked as the flavours hit her tongue. She chewed and swallowed. “O my god, you need to try it.” She told him pointing at his own, while devouring the rest. Her mouth working arousing him further.

He did. It tasted as good as it smelt. He’d never tasted anything like it. His system diagnostic gave him the exact breakdown of the pastries content. It seemed the perfect balance. He ate hungrily. The female re-filled his plate as she took another for herself. The sounds of her enjoying the flavours, rocked right to his cock. He wanted to hear those sounds as he fucked her. CraZ polished off those pastries too, washing it down with the coffee before he did something stupid. The bitter, sweet combination worked for him. But it didn’t take away his need of her.

As she moved to take his plate, he reached for her. She had the sweet power on her face. CraZ slowly reached for her face and brushed the power away from her cheek with his thumb and before he knew it, his thumb was in his mouth savouring the taste of the pastry and her.

Chris watched him taste the coating that had been on her face. His eyes closed for a moment then opened and gazed at her. He slowly removed his thumb, his eyes never leaving her. “You are a temptation female that I am losing the battle over,” he told her.

Chris moved towards him. “You are playing with fire CraZ and I am wanting things that are not safe for us. Why do I feel like this, I hardly know you?”

“There are theories. The Doctors believe that humans can recognise who we are to them, if it’s right.”

“Is this going to harm you?”

CraZ smiled at her. It looked good on him. “I think I’m passed that female.”

“I’m a big commitment. The children?” she whispered.

“Who I will cherish as my own if they let me. If not, I will be their friend.”

Tears came to her eyes. She didn’t understand why. She looked up at him as he leant forward and cradled her face. “I promise, I will love you and protect you and make you happy.”

She believed him. How could she not. Her body on fire for him, his words in her ears and his hands so gentle on her face.

“It all seems a little fast….” She murmured.

“To you maybe. For me, I’ve waited a lifetime.”

She nodded. “How can you be so sure?”

“I’m Cyborg. Its who we are. Data doesn’t lie.”

He believed it. She could see that. And everything in her told her she should believe it too. Chris smiled. “Ok then.”

CraZ couldn’t believe he’d heard her right. “You accept me?” She nodded and he pulled her in, devouring her mouth. His tongue sweeping across her lips and delving in. Her taste exactly as his data had predicted. Everything he wanted was right in his arms for the taking. Pulling her in closer to his body. She’d be in no doubt how he felt about her. His cock was rock hard. Pressed up against her. He felt the moment she gave up to the sensations flowing through her and opened fully to him. Her tongue joined him in the dual for dominance as he caressed that sweet ass to him in the palms of both his hands.

  “Momma?”

Chris broke away as CraZ looked towards the kitchen door. “How close?” she whispered.

“Top of the stairs,” he told her turning back to her.

  “Stay for breakfast?”

“Thank you I’d like that.” Chris planted a quick kiss on his lips not wanting to tempt fate by lingering and walked through the kitchen door. She found her daughter where CraZ had said. Top of the stairs. “You are up early, is your brother awake?”

  “No, just me.”

Chris ascended the stairs. “Ok well, no time to go back now, wash and dress, I’ll wake Sonny and we have a guest for breakfast this morning.”

She ushered her across the landing. “Is CraZ here?”

Chris blinked. “What made you think that?”

“He told us he was your friend last night and hoped to see more of us.”

“He did?” Cally nodded. “Well, you are right, he popped in for breakfast and I have some lovely new pastries for you to try.” They reached the bathroom. “In you go and get ready, I’ll wake Sonny.”

CraZ listened to his female with her children. A warmth spread through him. They were his family now. A fierceness he’d not experienced since the war flowed through him. His diagnostic told him how close to the edge he was. His protective instincts in full flow. He would give his life for them…

Breakfast was fun and interesting. Chris watched as the children put CraZ through an interrogation worthy of the best investigator. He looked at her for help more than once and she’d stepped in, but they were on a mission and loath to give up. She’d had to call time out and pull things back to normal. For a Cyborg who didn’t show much emotion, CraZ looked relieved. Scared by two small children. It was so normal. They’d loved their pastries and talked about their day. The school was taking them on a trip to see the salt marches. Both were very excited. Making up the packed lunches, she kept an eye on things while CraZ asked them some questions about their school. Sonny asked him about an equation he was having trouble with. CraZ had an answer of how to find the answer. Sonny was ecstatic saying he was going to share it with his friends. Both children appeared to like him. It was a weight off her mind. When he came into the kitchen to kiss her deeply, saying she had wonderful children he would love, made her heart leap. He had to go. Duty called.

Sonny gave him a handshake again. Being very grown up. Cally threw herself at him hugging his legs telling him to be ‘careful’. That he ‘was their
Cyborg now’. CraZ had looked at her and told them, he was. Then was gone.

Rounding them up, Chris got them ready for school. How had she got so lucky?

We have a problem. Whispers from several quarters say Cho is making a move against the females. The tipping point was taking the new waitress.

He’d entered the off-worlder coming straight from the shop. There were no problems there this morning I’ve just come from there. Taln had been waiting for him.

He’s planning something. Words like, an example needs to be made, females need putting in their place, a reminder of who runs things, are being spoken of.

  Any idea what?

  Not yet.

  Our men know?

  Already on it.

  Chapter Six

The children had a sparkle about them she’d not seen for a very long time. They’d talked about CraZ all the way to the school. Both had been so excited. Not just about CraZ but the field trip too. She’d wanted to cling to that excitement, hold the moment close for a very long time. But, they were all to eager to go and she had to accept that. They were growing so fast. Soon, she realised, they wouldn’t need her at all. It was the way of all women.

Walking back to the shop and seeing it, had lifted her spirits. She was being silly. She would always be their mother and the shop had been their salvation. Looking at it, she had the feeling that things might actually work out. With lifted spirits, she opened up and got to work with more vigour than she’d had in a very long time. Racle came in shortly before Meity, and lunch flew by in a series of orders. All too soon, Racle calling out she was off to pick up the children from school. Chris smiled, as she got on with the dinner prep. She wanted to surprise them with something special.
