I would first like to start by thanking God. Without His guidance and wisdom, I wouldn’t have even been able to come up with the idea for this book.
I also would like to thank my family, especially my father. I love you, Dad. Observing you reaffirmed my belief that we can achieve anything we want to achieve in this world and still be a good person while doing it.
I want to thank my brothers from other mothers, Sampson and George. Thanks for being there for me when I needed you throughout my life, as I will always be there for you. I love you guys.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge those great fathers and men who contributed to this book (and you, too, Monica). Not only those who contributed to this book, but the many fathers out there who are great dads. You are terrific examples for all of us.
Now I want to do something unconventional.
Although we wrote this book from a male’s perspective, I have long realized how important fathers are to daughters. So I want to acknowledge the different women I’ve met who’ve inspired me to write this book. Even if you weren’t fortunate enough to have your dad play an important role in your life, know this: You are God’s gift to this earth. You are a blessing. A father’s love is so important for a woman’s self-esteem and self-worth.
