Diving Into Love (McCallister's Paradise Book 2)

“I bet you say that to all the girls your about to screw.” Her eyes twinkled and she bent to sniff the flower.

Parker fumbled in the drawer, finding the package and tearing it open to extract one. “I don’t say that to all the girls,” he clarified, shimmying from his boxer briefs. “Only the one I’m about to make love to.”

  Sierra gasped, clearly surprised.

Parker hesitated a second before sheathing himself in the condom, wondering if that were the wrong thing to say to her.

After a few seconds, she leaned into him, kissing his neck and then breathing into his ear, “Then what are you waiting for, lover?”

  * * *

Excitement trilled through every nerve in Sierra’s body. She’d never instigated something like this before, but for the first time in her life, sex was something she looked at with anticipation instead of feeling duty bound to do it with her current mandatory boyfriend.

Parker had been being soft and tender to this point, but at her whispered encouragement, he grabbed her shoulders and slid her along the shallow desk and into the wall. “Don’t worry,” he said against her mouth as he plastered kisses on it. “I’m done waiting.”

Sierra reached down, hefting his manhood in her palm. “I can see you’re more than ready.” She stroked the length of him. “Just the way I like you.”

Parker nosed her head out of his way, giving him full access to her neck. He nipped love bites along her collarbone, causing intense radiations of pure lust to travel from his lips to the center of her legs. “Let’s make sure you’re ready,” he said.

His hand caressed her inner thigh, making small strokes against her skin as he circled closer and closer to her core.

She was more than ready, but loved the feel of Parker’s hands on her so didn’t protest.

His fingers brushed against the outer edge of her mound and Sierra shuddered, so anxious for him to get even closer.

With a hesitant fumble that made her smile, Parker parted her lower lips and caressed her with a light touch.

While raking her fingernails down his back, Sierra spread her legs wider. “You’re driving me crazy.”

“I can feel that,” he agreed. “You’re so wet and hot.”

“And all for you, lover.” While she tried her best to make her voice husky and seductive, Sierra couldn’t get over the thrill it gave her knowing Parker wasn’t looking at this interlude as friends with benefits or an easy lay. He said they were making love. It was the first time any man ever said that to her, and it made him even more attractive.

One of his thick fingers plunged into her opening. Gasping with pleasure, Sierra rocked her hips gently. “Oh, yeah. That’s nice.”

His thumb flicked against her clit as he put another finger with the first. “Do you like it, baby?”

Nodding, Sierra leaned her weight back into the wall again, gyrating against his hand. Within moments, stars were dancing in her vision and she was close to losing control. No man had ever brought her to orgasm before even entering her.

His pace grew faster, and Sierra cried out in pleasure. Parker’s mouth covered hers, muffling the sounds of her excitement.

As the stars exploded into fireworks behind her eyes and Sierra shook with pleasure, Parker gripped her legs and raised them over his shoulders. His hot hands went on either of her hips and he slid her down the wall, edging her ass to the end of the desk.

Her first orgasm subsided, but then Parker entered her. His girth filled her down low while his tongue dipped into her mouth.

When he had completely filled her, he pulled his mouth away. “You okay?”

  “Better than okay.”

“Good.” The self-satisfied smile gracing his lips made her smile in return. “I’ve been dreaming about this moment, Red.”

Grinding against his pelvis to encourage him to start moving, she nodded. “Me too.”

The smile never leaving his face, he shifted his hips. Slowly at first, and the hot, burning need he’d previously satiated stoked back up inside Sierra. As Parker picked up the pace, her excited moans returned.

Instead of muffling her this time, Parker continued thrusting, grunting each time. Beads of sweat built up on his brow and the smell of man was overwhelming and wonderful.

Sierra reached in between them to tweak the small buttons of his nipples, and his grunts increased.

“God, Red. You’re so damn good,” he panted.

The stars began sparkling in her vision again and every muscle in her body tightened. “Oh, oh, oh. I’m coming, Parker!” she warned as the convulsions once again took over.

Parker let out a loud grunt as he entered her one more time and then collapsed on top of her.

When the tremors faded she finally regained control of her limbs again, Sierra unfolded herself from her contorted position and wrapped her legs around Parker’s waist. She stroked his sweaty hair and kissed the top of his head while he continued panting into her breasts.

After a few minutes, his breathing calmed. He looked up at her, tenderly stroking her cheek. “You’re amazing.”

Suddenly overcome with emotion, Sierra simply nodded, feeling tears gather in her eyes. “So are you, Parker. The most amazing man I’ve ever met.”

He lifted her, holding her steady against him while he kissed her with a tenderness that she’d never known any man had inside him. It sure didn’t feel like her normal post-coital experiences, when the current partner was anxious to shower and leave her apartment. This felt like... romance.

Laying her gently on the small bed, Parker kissed her again and then straightened. “Be right back,” he promised, disappearing into the bathroom.

Sierra propped herself on her elbow, a sudden fear rushing through her that he was about to shower and leave. However, when she peeked over the bottom edge of the bed, she noted Parker had left the bathroom door open. His firm ass flexed in her field of vision.

Forcing herself to relax, Sierra lay back on the pillow and took in some deep breaths. He wasn’t trying to hide his actions. Everything had to be okay, didn’t it? When the water turned on, she dug her fingers into the white comforter beneath her, closed her eyes, and refused to look his direction again.

The water turned off quicker than expected, and a few seconds later Parker’s footsteps padded across the floor. “Scoot over,” he said. “I want to hold you.”

Knowing her grin was probably too wide, she hastened to comply.

Parker plopped beside her, his strong arms gathering her to his chest. When she relaxed against him, he stroked her back lovingly, seeming completely at ease.

He wasn’t leaving her, just cleaning up. It was a unique experience. Sierra wondered if this was always what making love was like. If so, she was tired of the alternative.

“That was wonderful,” Parker murmured, kissing her forehead. “But I think holding you will always be my favorite part.

  Chapter 16

Parker woke slowly the following morning, feeling more relaxed than he had in a long time. Sure, he and Sierra never made it to dinner, and being crammed in her tiny bed wasn’t the way he’d planned to spend the night, but he’d never been happier.

Sierra murmured in her sleep and shifted in his arms, pulling the comforter over her head and smacking him in the face with her flailing hand in the process.

Chuckling, Parker pushed the blanket off his nose and mouth and then kissed the top of her head. If he wasn’t so exhausted from their many bouts of lovemaking last night, he’d want to wake her up for more. As it was, holding her against him and feeling her warm breath puffing against his chest was enough. For a while, anyway.

As the sun rose outside the window, slowly infiltrating the room with its cheery light, Sierra woke. But she came to with a jolt, startling Parker in the process. Her eyes looked bleary as she searched the room, though she appeared to calm when she focused on him.

“I was afraid it was all a dream.” She stroked his lips with her fingertips.
/>   “A dream come true, Red.” He grinned. “Now, scoot your gorgeous body up here and give me a good morning kiss.”

She let out a yelp that sounded like ‘wait’ and rolled out of bed. Sierra scurried to the bathroom and seconds later, the door shut firmly.

Parker couldn’t help but laugh. Sierra must be going to clean herself up before the make-out session began. Didn’t she realize after all they shared last night, he’d want her no matter what, morning breath and all?

That thought brought him up short. What was he supposed to do about his own morning breath? He didn’t have any of his usual things here, since he’d planned to whisk her away to his room last night. It wasn’t like he could call down to the front desk and request a toothbrush. First off, this was employee housing, not a hotel, and they didn’t offer things like that. Second of all, Sierra might not want him advertising that they spent the night together.

Not that he had any doubt about her feelings after what they shared, but she was an odd one when it came to her sense of priorities. She’d wanted to go slow, and she still might think it was too soon to let their coworkers know what was going on.

Then again, half the building probably heard what was going on last night. Sierra got louder as the night progressed and after a while he stopped muffling her cries of pleasure because they sounded so damn sweet.

With a slight squeak of the hinges, the bathroom door reopened and Sierra walked back into Parker’s line of vision. She had pulled her robe back on and her hair was neatly brushed. It was too bad, really. He’d kind of liked her sex hair and naked ass. It was a reminder of just how wild and crazy they got.

“Alright,” she said, walking toward the bed. “Now we can kiss.”

Parker sat up and shook his head. “No way. You get to brush your teeth and I don’t? That’s not happening.”

Her lower lip jutted in a pretty pout and her eyebrows scrunched down. After a moment her face cleared and she shrugged. “There’s no help for it. You’re my man and I want to kiss you. I’m not going to wait until you go home and get cleaned up.”

Standing from the bed, Parker didn’t bother to put his boxer briefs back on. He strutted to the bathroom, loving how Sierra’s eyes followed his every movement.

“What are you doing?” she asked when he reached the door.

“Improvising.” With a wink, he shut the door on her.

Quickly making use of the facilities, Parker then ran his fingers through his hair to tame it the best he could. Upon searching through her medicine cabinet, he found toothpaste. While he wouldn’t have a problem borrowing her toothbrush, some people were squeamish about that. He didn’t want to upset her when he’d finally won her over. Parker put some paste on his finger and scrubbed his mouth as best he could. It would at least hold him over until he got home.

When he exited the bathroom, Sierra stood near the window, looking out at the sunny day.

Walking behind her, Parker put his arms around her waist and rested his head over her shoulder. He was surprised how clearly he could see the ocean from her window. Then again, employee housing only had the bungalows in front of it, which were low to the ground. Here on the sixth floor, the view was unobstructed.

“Nice,” he murmured into her ear. “The view out there is nearly as pretty as the one in here.”

Sierra giggled and reached backward to stroke her hands up Parker’s sides. “Almost. I can’t believe people are already out surfboarding this morning. I’ve always wanted to try that, but I’m afraid at the same time. Especially because of the sharks.”

Judging the tide and thinking back to the weather report, Parker held her tighter. “Now I know what we’re doing today. The waves should all be smaller until afternoon, so there’s no better time to learn. Plus, there have been no shark sightings, so we’ll be safe.”

She spun in his arms, looking up at him with no small amount of fear in her beautiful eyes. “Today? I’m not sure I’m ready. I mean, you must have things to do on your day off. I was just going to explore the island a bit.”

Parker leaned in, kissing her deeply to stop her protests. It worked like a charm as Sierra gave a contended-sounding sigh and ran her hands around his waist. Her fingers dug into the flesh of his ass, and her freshly brushed tongue slipped in his mouth to play with his.

After several minutes, she broke off the kiss. “Is that your way of shutting me up?”

Parker kissed her one more time. “Maybe.”

“Well, it worked.” Her hand skimmed across his hip, making the skin dimple with excitement. She tickled through the patch of hair below his waist and then stroked his rapidly stiffening manhood. “But I think maybe I worked on shutting you up too,” she continued. “Can’t go surfing with this in your way.”

Nodding, Parker swept her into his arms and carried her to the bed. “Guess we better take care of that first.”

  * * *

Sierra paddled on the pink and purple surfboard Parker had presented her with when they met on the beach an hour earlier. There was finally a break in the waves and she was determined to make some progress.

Learning how to dive her board under the waves as they came at her was even trickier than she figured surfing would be. It took forever to make any headway against the ocean. Parker must be bored out of his mind, since he was obviously an accomplished surfer. She couldn’t even get out past the small waves.

Why had she told Parker that random thought about trying this? It looked fun, watching other people surf, but she wasn’t sure she had what it took to do it herself. Besides, didn’t sharks and killer whales attack people who surfed? Maybe she’d get eaten by a wild animal just when she’d found the man of her dreams. That would be ironic.

Parker wouldn’t let it go, though. After they’d made love again this morning, he dressed quickly and told her to put on a bathing suit and meet him on the beach. And the truth was, no matter how badly she wanted to get out of doing the surfing itself, she would have done whatever he asked in order to spend the day with him. She enjoyed the knowledge that she was in a real relationship for the first time in her life, and not something arranged by her dad to close a business deal. It felt good.

After a quick breakfast burrito that Parker also brought with him, he’d shown her some basic techniques and told her what to expect out in the water. Then came the moment of truth, and Parker insisted they test her fledgling skills.

Glancing to her left, she noted Parker lying on his own board, smiling like crazy. The sunlight reflected off his dark sunglasses, and his golden tan body looked even yummier than usual, set off in contrast to his light yellow swimming trunks. His cupped hands glided through the water, shooting his board forward with every stroke in an effortless glide.

Once she caught up with him again, he stopped paddling and reached out for her, grabbing her hand. “You can do this, Red. I know you can.” He pointed to a group of people about ten yards away from them to the left. “We need to get out about that far, and then we’ll try standing up, okay?”

The warm water flowed around her, feeling like a nice bath, and it was hard to feel afraid in that setting with Parker’s encouraging smile egging her on. The waves they’d cut through were basically small swells of white water, nothing like she’d seen professionals ride in magazine pictures. She could handle this. Besides, if it was something Parker enjoyed, she needed to learn. Real couples shared each other’s passions and did things together besides sex. She’d master this for him. Maybe next weekend he’d go horse riding with her.

“Okay. I can do this.” Sierra let go of his hand and paddled harder, heading to the deeper water as fast as she could while they were in between wave swells.

When they finally reached an area Parker was satisfied with, he took her hand in his again, stopping her from floating away. “The key to this sport is balance,” he said. “You’re an expert horse rider, so I’m sure you know about moving with the animal and keeping yourself centered.”

  She
nodded. “Of course, but I think a horse is a bit more predictable than a wave.”

“Maybe, maybe not. Shadow wasn’t predictable when he bucked you off.”

She snorted. “And look how that turned out. Slammed into the ground with a headache for days. You’re supposed to make me feel like I can do this, mister.”

He grinned. “Have you ever stayed in the saddle when a horse bucked? If not, we might have a problem.”

Of course she had, she’d been riding since she could walk. Instead of answering that, Sierra just stared at him.

Parker chuckled and held up his free hand as if to say he surrendered. “I can see that you have. Well, think of this board like that. Your job is to keep your balance and stay calm, just like you do when riding. The hardest part is popping up to your feet, but I happen to know you’re very athletic.” He squeezed her hand. “And flexible. I know you can do this.”

“Okay,” she agreed. “I can do this.”

Parker pointed his chin in the direction of a wave just forming. “That’s our ticket back to shore. You ready?”

What if she wasn’t? That likely didn’t matter. “Sure.”

Parker dropped her hand and paddled in a circle, facing back toward the beach, and Sierra followed suit.

“As soon as you feel the wave move you, do the pop up and gain your feet,” he instructed. “Remember, don’t stand upright. Stay sort of crouched like we practiced on the beach.”

Sierra’s heart rate sped up and she waited for the wave. Parker promised she wouldn’t be able to miss the feeling, that she’d know when the ocean lifted her. She sure hoped he was right, because she shook so hard, it was difficult to tell if the board was moving from a wave or from her fear.

Soon, her back end lifted in a stomach-turning jolt.

  “Now!” Parker yelled beside her.

Planting her hands on either side of the board and extending her arms fully, Sierra then leapt up, spreading her feet with one in the center and one near the back of the board. For a split second, she stood and a victorious joy overcame her.
