Alexander’s hands went around his body right away. He worked them up and down Sebastian’s back, and the strength Sebastian felt in them excited him. As he settled into Alexander’s lap, he could feel the man’s cock pressing against him. Though Sebastian couldn’t tell how long Alexander’s cock was, he could feel the thickness of the shaft. He broke the kiss and looked into Alexander’s eyes as he rubbed against him, which only made the cock beneath him grow even more.

Seeing the blatant need in Alexander’s eyes, Sebastian said, “Let me make you happy. You need this.”

Alexander ran his fingers into Sebastian’s hair. “You’re in my arms. I’m already happy.”

Sebastian smiled down at him. “Don’t be shy.” He ground against Alexander’s lap. “I can feel you. Let me suck you off.”

Alexander looked briefly stunned, but then heat came to his eyes. “How could I deny that request?”

Sebastian slowly rose from the couch and knelt on the floor. He hadn’t exactly planned this part, but seduction was his ultimate goal. He couldn’t help smiling as he noticed how affected Alexander was by all of this. He gripped the couch with one hand as the other still stroked Sebastian’s hair. And he was trembling. Sebastian freed his cock, which was pretty intimidating, though it wasn’t so long that Sebastian couldn’t take it down his throat.

A few drops of pre-cum dripped from the head, and Sebastian licked them away before he began sucking. Alexander’s hand tightened in his hair, and he massaged Sebastian’s scalp. Sebastian went slow, wanting to draw it out and give Alexander as much pleasure as possible. Alexander arched into his mouth and gripped his neck, and Sebastian swallowed around the head of his cock. The warmth from Alexander’s hand seemed to radiate down his neck, his skin tingling a bit. Sebastian sighed at this tangible proof of how right touching Alexander felt.

The hot cum hit the back of his throat, and he pulled back a bit to start swallowing. He milked Alexander’s cock gently. When he drew back, he smiled as he wiped the corner of his mouth. Alexander sat there panting and gazing down at him.

“So glad you enjoyed that,” Sebastian said as he rose up to kiss Alexander.

Alexander cupped his cheek as he adjusted his pants and partially tucked himself away. “You were beautiful.”

Sebastian climbed up on the couch on Alexander’s left and kept kissing him. He could tell Alexander had really needed that, his body now so much more relaxed as they touched each other. Sebastian couldn’t get enough of touching and tasting him, his entire body tingling as they came together.

Alexander still felt dizzy from his release as he returned Sebastian’s sweet kisses. He had never needed anything as much as he needed this man right this moment. Peace washed over him, despite all the worries he had. He drew back and caressed Sebastian’s beautiful face.

“I’m sorry I came so quickly,” Alexander said.

“You needed it. Don’t apologize. I’m flattered. The way you respond to me.” Sebastian brought their lips together again for a series of brief, light kisses. “The way you feel. And make me feel.”

Alexander had no desire to fight it as the kisses grew longer. But when they took a chance to breathe, he said, “I want to do that to you.” He let his hand wander down and over Sebastian’s straining cock.

Sebastian smiled and pressed closer. “You definitely have permission.”

“But … I should tell you something.”

  Sebastian went still. “What?”

  “I’ve never done that before.”

  “Sucked a guy?”

He shook his head. “You’re the first man I’ve been with. The first one I ever wanted to be with.”

  “You’re straight?”

  “I thought so. Until you.”

Sebastian looked at him without blinking for a few moments. “What’s so special about me? The way you kissed me this morning … I’d never have guessed. You seem pretty experienced.”

  “I am. With women.”

“But it’s more than curiosity, right?”

  “Yes. Much more.”

Sebastian hesitated a moment before he said, “Most of it isn’t that different. You saying you’re nervous?”

  “Yes.”

Sebastian ran one finger over Alexander’s lips. “You don’t have to be. I love your mouth already.” As if to prove it, he drew Alexander into another kiss.

The lingering kiss relaxed Alexander, but then Sebastian drew back and clutched his head.

“What’s wrong?” Alexander noted that Sebastian’s erection had flagged a bit.

“My head hurts all of a sudden.” He cringed. “Fuck, it really hurts.”

“What do you need? Do you get headaches often?”

“No. Hardly ever.” He looked up. “Some water, please. There’s aspirin in the drawer by the sink.”

Alexander fetched the aspirin and got a glass of water as well. But as he sat down, he felt a little wave of power come from Sebastian. He reached out a bit, wondering if the intimate contact could’ve done something to Sebastian. When he picked up on the magic radiating off Sebastian, his palms began to sweat.

“How do you feel?” Alexander asked once Sebastian had taken the aspirin and drained his glass.

  “Weird. Really weird.”

How can I explain what might be wrong? I’m not sure myself. He’ll think I’m insane. “What can I do?”

Sebastian wiped at his brow, which was beaded with sweat. “I don’t know. I need to lie down.” He looked up. “Can you stay a few minutes? In case something’s really wrong?”

“I’ll stay as long as I need to.” He hesitated as he tried to think what he’d say if he didn’t suspect this was his fault. “Do you need to go to a doctor?”

Sebastian stood up. “I hope not.” But then he wobbled on his feet.

Alexander didn’t ask permission. He simply lifted Sebastian into his arms. “Where’s the bedroom? There?” He turned toward the partially closed door by the kitchen.

“Yes.” His hands rested lightly on Alexander’s shoulders. “You’re strong.”

“I exercise a lot.” Alexander put him down on the bed and eased his shoes off. “Do you want to undress? I can turn around.”

“This isn’t how I pictured this at all.” Sebastian slumped on the bed.

“What, our first time in your bedroom?” Alexander asked softly.

“All of it. You just carried me to bed and asked if I wanted my clothes off. I’m all for it, but not like this.” He clutched at his head. “It’s easing, but I still feel odd.” He began to unbutton his shirt. “And I am sorta hot.”

Alexander began to turn away, but Sebastian stopped him. “It’s okay,” Sebastian said.

Sitting beside him, Alexander helped Sebastian out of his shirt and then his jeans. Once Sebastian sat there in only his boxers, it was obvious whatever was happening had drained all of his desire, yet Alexander still wanted to push him back on the mattress and kiss every inch of him.

“Would you like more water? A cool cloth?”

Sebastian lay back on the bed. “I … don’t know.” He stared up at the ceiling a moment before reaching for Alexander. “Lie down with me? Just for a bit.”

Alexander kicked his shoes off right away and climbed onto the other side of the bed. “As long as you want.”

Sebastian linked their hands, staring at them. “Feels better when I touch you.” He chuckled, then winced. “Silly, huh?”

“No, it’s comforting. When you were sick as a child, didn’t you feel better when someone sat with you? You know it didn’t help your sickness, but didn’t it feel as if it did?”

“Yeah. I guess.” Sebastian rolled to his side to face Alexander. “If you stay the night, I promise not to puke on you.”

  “Do you feel nauseated?”

He frowned deeply, then his lips twisted. “A little. But more than anything I just feel strange. Unbalanced. I don’t know.” He sighed and closed his eyes. “Stay
close.”

  “I will. I promise.”

A few minutes later, as Alexander was admiring the lines and curves of Sebastian’s body, Sebastian shifted closer and opened his eyes. “Some first date, huh?”

Alexander brushed a damp curl off Sebastian’s face. “I had a great time. Eating with you and talking. Among other things.”

“You owe me.” Sebastian’s fingers traced Alexander’s lips again. “Want to feel your mouth on me.”

“As soon as you’re better, all you have to do is ask.”

Sebastian smiled, though he looked very drained. He closed his eyes and soon drifted off to sleep.

Alexander examined his face, wanting to leave and get answers but unable to do so. He could only hope whatever he’d done would pass or at least stabilize until he could get back home and talk to Edmund and his family.

  Chapter Four

Sebastian rolled over in bed. He felt as if he was floating just above the mattress, but he shifted to reassure himself that wasn’t the case. His skin tingled, and he swore he could feel the blood pumping through his veins. He sat up, glad not to feel the dizziness that had plagued him the night before.

Though it did get Alexander to carry me to bed. He looked at the handsome man sprawled beside him, wishing they were both naked and cuddled together under the covers after a long night of fucking. Learning Alexander had never been with another man had been both scary and exciting. Sebastian didn’t mind how that might intensify the emotions—he was already expecting that with Alexander. Sebastian longed to sink into him and just rut him into the mattress. He laughed at his own thoughts and gave standing up a try. A brief wave of dizziness was all he experienced. He made his way to the bathroom and emptied his bladder. As he washed his hands and then his face, he felt better.

Until he noticed something odd about the water in the sink.

Colors seemed to dance in the large droplets of water as they came together and flowed to the drain in thin streams. He turned the tap off and stared into the sink. The colors all faded as the drops and rivulets of water slowly went down the drain. He blinked several times, wondering if maybe his eyes were just a bit sensitive.

But then he looked into the mirror. There, instead of his reflection, he saw himself and Alexander standing in a field together. They weren’t dressed in normal clothes—they seemed to be in costumes of some kind—and Alexander wore a silver crown on his head. It kind of looked like something out of one of the Lord of the Rings movies, and Sebastian couldn’t help staring. Alexander kissed him, and then the image began to fade.

  Another soon replaced it.

He saw another man wearing a much larger gold crown, an older man in a flowing cloak. The man dragged a child in a hooded coat by the arm. An old woman chased after them, barely keeping up. Then the man rounded on her, throwing the child down as it screamed and tried to hold the man back by his long cloak.

The man who wore the crown grabbed the old woman and stabbed her. She crumbled at his feet and clutched at her stomach. The child came forward and tried to protect her, screaming and kicking at her attacker, but the man dragged him away again. The hood fell back, and Sebastian saw the face of the child.

It was a boy. And it was a face Sebastian knew all too well.

Sebastian stumbled back and nearly fell, half tripping over the slightly open door. His hands shook, and he thought he might throw up as his stomach pitched.

“Sebastian? Are you all right?” Alexander called.

Sebastian stared at his reflection in the mirror, which now seemed to have returned to normal. “No. I’m not.” The shaking seemed to subside, his stomach settling as well.

Alexander was at his side almost instantly. “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know.” He couldn’t articulate what had just happened, but he turned to Alexander and eyed him warily. He barely knew this man, and Alexander had been with him when he’d started feeling odd. He’d also been immediately willing to stay with Sebastian. What if his motivation was more than kindness or physical attraction? “What did you do to me?” The words simply came out, a deep defensive feeling washing over him like a wave. You were in that hallucination or vision or whatever the fuck that was I just experienced! I don’t really know shit about you. You better have a damned good answer.

Alexander’s eyes widened, as if he knew what Sebastian was thinking. That worried Sebastian as well, since it was the second time something like that had happened.

“Do to you? I did nothing but watch over you last night.” Alexander looked him up and down. “Are you hurt? You look terrified. What happened in here?”

Sebastian didn’t want to say what he’d seen, not yet. “Who are you? Have you been following me? Watching me?”

Alexander looked a bit guilty. “Why do you ask that?”

“Because you did something to me. When you touched me. Your hands … they felt so warm. I thought it was because of how I felt about you. But your touch … it was strange.” He swallowed, trying to keep the trembling from starting again. “Everything’s been a little strange since the first time I saw you. People watch me everywhere I go.”

Alexander searched his face, his eyes taking on a pleading look, though something in his expression still looked guilty to Sebastian. “Will you believe the truth if I tell you?”

“Is it so weird you think I won’t?”

“It’ll be weird to you. Tell me how you feel right now. Do you need any—”

“Tell me who you are!” Sebastian hadn’t meant to raise his voice, but fear had crept in.

Alexander actually looked a bit afraid, though Sebastian couldn’t imagine why. It had to prove he was guilty of something. Alexander cleared his throat and said, “I already told you, though you thought it was a joke. I guess I meant it playfully, but I was hoping it might trigger something in your memory.”

Sebastian tilted his head. “What are you talking about?”

“What I told you yesterday before I kissed you. That’s who I am. My name really is Alexander, and I’m the eldest son of the king and queen of the fey. I’m the crown prince of the Veiled Court, the world you were born in. The seers of our world—”

“Stop right fucking there.” Sebastian shook his head. “Don’t give me that load of shit. There’s no such thing. No such place.”

“If that’s true, then what are you saying? That I drugged you? Tell me what’s wrong. Last night you wanted me to stay. You said touching me made you feel better. What changed?”

“I saw something. You and me together in some field. But then I saw something else. I saw me as a kid. I was being kidnapped. Same age I was when I was found on a beach with no fucking memories. Some woman was trying to save me—an old woman—and the man killed her. A man wearing a crown. You wore one, too. In the vision of us.”

  “What were we doing?”

“Kissing.” He shook his head and backed up. “Did you not hear me? How is that more important than me telling you I saw someone murdered?”

“Why don’t you come and sit down? I’m confused as well.” Alexander reached out his hand. “Please.”

“No. I don’t want to sit. And I don’t want you touching me.”

Alexander looked devastated. He let his hand fall to his side. “All right.”

Sebastian watched Alexander. “What did you do to me?”

Sighing, Alexander said, “I don’t know. I think touching you awoke your own powers a little bit. Maybe your memories are trying to push through.”

  “Powers?”

“Yes. What I said is true. There is magic. There is a race of beings called the fey. And you’re one of us. You made the connection yourself moments ago, when you were talking about your vision. Doesn’t this answer all the questions you have about the first ten years of your life?”

“Not hardly. What the fuck am I doing here?”

  “You really want to know?”

Sebastian backed Alexander against the doorframe. “No, I’m asking b
ecause I’m bored.” He pounded the wood with his fist. “Of course I want to know.”

“I think what you saw had two purposes. One is a potential future, the one of us. But the other may be a memory. Possibly your last memory before a spell was put on you. Even if you saw it as a spectator.” Alexander’s brows came together. “You must be a seer. Only seers have visions.”

“Forget that for now. I want my answers first. Who was the man?”

“My father,” Alexander said softly. “The king. He found out ten years ago that my cariad—that’s what we call the person we’re fated to love—was a male. He didn’t want that. Because of pride and superstition. Because I’m his eldest son and he didn’t want me to be with someone who couldn’t give me a child. He did kidnap you and bring you here. That woman must’ve been your grandmother. No one told me she was dead. A friend has been trying to find her but had no luck. My father wouldn’t cooperate. We’re not really speaking right now.” Alexander had tears falling from his eyes now, though his voice remained soft and steady. “I learned recently that your parents died when you were a baby. That’s why your grandmother raised you. In my world, at least.” He wiped at his cheeks. “I’ve known about what my father did for less than a month. And ever since I found out, I’ve been watching you. Had others watching to be sure you were safe. Waiting for a chance to be a part of your life so I could tell you all of this. In a much nicer way, of course.”

Sebastian backed away and wound up sitting on the edge of the tub. All of Alexander’s words tumbled around in his mind, mixed with the images he’d seen in the mirror. After several minutes, he looked up. “I said I wanted to know.” He laughed, the sound hollow and without humor. “Fuck.”

Alexander knelt beside him but had the good sense not to touch him. “I’m so sorry. It’s my fault.”

“Yes. It sure as fuck is.” Sebastian looked down at him. “How could you think I’d want anything to do with you after what your father did?”
