His eyes popped open and his hand was back around my throat.
“You think you know me,” he said, his voice even and so damn controlled, it sent a flutter of fear racing down my spine. “You think you can control me by jerking me off?” His hips thrust into my hand. “Stroke me hard, Eve, because that’s all you’re getting from me.”
With my hand wrapped around his dick and his fingers squeezing my throat, we controlled each other. His cock swelled, the heavy muscle hot and dripping.
I struggled beneath him, my pussy aching with the need to be filled by him.
“Eve,” he growled. “Stop moving.”
“No.” I hooked a thumb into the waistband of my leggings. With a little maneuvering, I had the fabric down one leg. Just enough that he could finally fuck me like he said he wouldn’t do.
“Eve.” His cold gaze roamed down the length of me, landing on my waist. He licked his lips, his big body shaking as he lost that control he craved.
Greyson grabbed my right leg, spreading me open. “Say it, Eve.” His gaze snapped to mine. “Say it and mean it.”
“Fuck me.” I didn’t get those words out before he thrust into me. I cried out, arching beneath him, taking him even deeper.
“Fuck,” he bellowed, pulling out slowly and slamming back into my heat before I could even comprehend what he was doing.
The impending orgasm rushing through me didn’t simmer. No words left my lips. No sound. Nothing.
As Grey fucked me on the floor, I was lost to him.
(Greyson)
I was inside her. I was in the woman who had invaded my dreams since she arrived at my club.
She was so damn wet, I had to take several breaths. Fuck me, I had never felt something so tight. So hot. So perfect. It made me wonder if she was a virgin. That thought made my cock swell even more inside her.
Fisting Eve’s hair, I held her head in place and stared into her eyes as I fucked the shit out of her cunt. I didn’t want this to happen. Not on the floor. But when her hand had wrapped around my cock, I could feel the control slipping away.
“Harder,” she demanded, gripping my hips and meeting me thrust for thrust. “Greyson.”
“Shut the fuck up.” I rose to my knees, leaned on my elbows on either side of her head, and powered into her. “This is what you wanted, Eve. You wanted my fat cock inside of you. Did you think begging me would work?”
“It did work,” she threw back at me.
“Nah.” I kissed the corner of her mouth. “You see, Eve.” My hips picked up speed. “I’m only fucking you because you have a hole.”
“Fuck you,” she growled. “That’s not true, and you know it.”
It wasn’t but it didn’t mean that I didn’t want to mess with her a little. “You’re lucky we’re not in my room,” I said, ignoring her. “I’d tie you to my bed, spread you apart so wide that I could see right into your soul.”
Her eyes darkened.
Hmmm … someone liked the sound of that. “Would you like that, Eve? Are you a slut for pain too? Maybe I could cut off your air supply.” I reiterated my words by squeezing her throat.
She gasped, her eyes widening.
I released my hold on her neck. “You’re making me second-guess everything and I don’t like it.” I cupped her thigh, spreading her open. “The next time I’m inside this pussy, I’m going to show you exactly what I’m capable of.”
“Greyson,” she whimpered.
My name leaving her lips set me off. I fucked her hard. Fast. Powering all of my strength into her body until I had her coming undone around me a second time, and only then did I let myself go.
I HAD BEEN living at the club for over a month and Greyson finally let me tend the bar. I kept to myself mostly but Trixie and I became fast friends. She was fun, vibrant, and full of the sunshine I needed in the darkness that surrounded my life.
It had been a while since Greyson and I had sex on the floor in my room. But no matter how much time had passed, I could still feel him. Everywhere. Inside of me. All through me. It was intense.
Delicious. Mind blowing. Powerful.
That moment with him, even though it was fast and hard, made me feel like a human again. Like a woman. And I wanted it again.
But he never kissed me. As much as I wanted to feel his lips on mine and his tongue deep in my mouth, a part of me was happy that he didn’t. I knew it was a battle of control. I wasn’t sure what kind of woman I was before losing my memory but Greyson being an asshole pissed me off and I lost it.
A shiver trembled through me, remembering the intensity in his gaze as he took from me what he wanted.
“We didn’t use a condom,” I said softly, curling into myself on the floor in my room.
Greyson stared down at me while doing up his jeans and belt. “Does it look like I give a fuck?”
“What have I ever done to you, Greyson? You don’t need to be an asshole all of the damn time.”
He laughed, shaking his head. “Little girl, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
Before I could ask him what the hell he meant, he left the room, and me alone with my thoughts. He treated me like a slut, fucking me only because I had a hole. I would show him that he was wrong.
A throat clearing brought me back to the present.
My gaze landed on a good-looking man sitting at the bar in front of me. His eyes were so dark, they looked black.
“Sorry.” My cheeks burned. “I was daydreaming.” I laughed.
“No problem.” He grinned, showcasing perfect white teeth. “Are you new around here?”
“Yeah.” I swallowed hard at the threat hidden behind his dark eyes. “I’ve been here for a month.”
“Interesting.” He rubbed the black scruff on his angular jaw. “I haven’t seen you.”
“I haven’t seen you either,” I threw back at him, shifting from foot to foot.
“Touché.” His grin widened, his dark eyes twinkling.
“What did you want to drink?” I asked, my stomach twisting. Something about this guy bothered me, but I couldn’t figure out what it was.
“How about something from the bottom shelf, pretty girl.”
I swallowed hard and went to crouch down to grab him what he wanted when a large shadow appeared out of the corner of my eye.
“Don’t,” Greyson told me, his eyes hard and focused on the man sitting on the other side of the bar. “What the hell are you doing here, Travis?”
“I was just introducing myself to this beautiful bartender you now have.” Travis stood from the stool he was sitting on. “It seems you’ve finally moved on up in the world, Greyson.”
“Get the fuck out of here.” Grey took a step toward the man, towering over him, but the man, although shorter, didn’t back down. He crossed his arms under his chest and raised an eyebrow.
My heart raced. I glanced around the room, looking for any of the other guys, but no one was around. Where the hell was everybody?
“Aww, Greyson. But it’s been awhile. Don’t you want to catch up?”
“Nope.”
Much to my surprise, Greyson came behind the bar and stood beside me. “Now get out.”
Travis chuckled. “Yeah. I’ll do that.” He met my gaze. “It was nice meeting you … I didn’t catch your name.”
“That’s because I never gave it to you.” Although my name wasn’t real, he still didn’t need to know it.
Something flashed behind his eyes. Something that set my heart racing and my blood pounding in my ears.
I took a step closer to Greyson, needing his strength. This man utterly terrified me.
Travis looked between us, nodding his head. “Now I get it. I never thought Greyson would settle down. I guess miracles can happen. When you’re done with her, you should send her my way. I’ll show her how a real man feels.”
“Get the fuck out,” Greyson growled, slamming his fist on the countertop.
Travis chuckled, walked away, and left the club.

“Who the hell was that?” I went to grab a glass when strong fingers wrapped around my arm. “Greyson?”
He dragged me down the hall, back to my room.
“Not this again,” I cried, trying to pry his fingers off of me. “Please. We agreed that I could bartend. Greyson. I’m sorry. I didn’t know who he was. I thought … I just … I didn’t know.”
Once we reached my room, he shoved me inside. Just when I thought he was going to lock me in there, he shut himself in with me and came toward me.
“Greyson,” I whispered, holding my hands up to ward him off. I didn’t know what he was going to do. A shiver trembled through me.
“Don’t,” he gritted out, grabbing my hand and pulling me against him. “Don’t fear me.”
My racing heart calmed when his arms wrapped around me.
(Greyson)
I wasn’t a hugger. I didn’t even like cuddling. After Travis Breault showed up and I found Eve talking to him, I needed to make sure she was okay. But first, I needed her warmth.
It drove me crazy to avoid her like I did, but I didn’t want to hurt her. Seemed that backfired where Travis was concerned.
“Greyson?” she whispered, her voice muffled by my shirt. “Hey. What’s wrong?”
I only held her tighter. This went against everything that I was about but, at that point, I didn’t give a shit.
With my hand at the small of Eve’s back, I pulled her even harder against me. My body reacted to hers because she was absolutely breathtaking. How could it not? But this wasn’t about sex. This was about protecting her and making sure she stayed far away from Travis.
“Greyson.” She struggled against me which only made my dick lengthen even more. “Who was he? What’s going on? Why was he here?”
I was going to kill my men for not being around to protect her. How the fuck did Travis even get into the house?
Like Eve had burned me herself, I pulled away and started pacing back and forth.
“You need to talk to me.”
Talk. Everyone wanted to fucking talk. “His name is Travis Breault. Powerful. Millionaire. Has his hand in everyone’s pockets. Same shit, different day.”
“He’s dangerous, isn’t he?”
I met Eve’s gaze that time and nodded. “Yeah. He is.”
She sat on the couch, patting the spot beside her.
My feet moved on their own accord, slumping my ass onto the worn leather.
“Why did you drag me in here?”
“I wanted to make sure that you were okay.” My jaw clenched as I imagined what could have happened to her if I hadn’t shown up. “He didn’t touch you, did he?”
“No.” Eve reached for my hand but hesitated. “He scared me. I don’t know why but it’s like he was looking into my soul and could see all of my dark and dirty secrets.” She shivered.
“He should scare you, Eve. I wish I could say differently. No one knows how he made his money, but there are rumors.”
“What kind of rumors?”
I dropped my head in my hands, let out a hard sigh, and turned to her. “Snuff films. Porn. Women. Sex. Drugs. Weapons. You name it, he’s probably done it. But he’s good. There’s no proof. He’s never been charged with anything because he has the cops on his payroll. That’s why we have Trixie as our in-house doctor.”
“What do you mean?”
“We want to make sure everyone is treated without police involvement.”
“Oh …” I paused. “You don’t trust anyone, do you?”
I glanced at her. “I trust very few people and even then …”
“It’s hard,” Eve answered for me.
“Yeah.”
“Oh.” She ran her hands down her thighs. “Well … this sucks.”
I chuckled, shaking my head. “Woman, you are something else.”
“What?” She shrugged. “I can’t let some fucker scare me. I’m not sure how I know, but whatever I was running from was far worse than him.”
“True.” I sat back, kicking my legs out in front of me and crossed my ankles. “Do you remember anything yet?”
“No.” She wrung her hands in her lap. “Not yet. I’ve had a couple nightmares but that’s all they are. I hope, anyway.”
“Maybe you’ll remember in time.” As much as I wanted to reach out to her and comfort her, I didn’t. I couldn’t. For fear that she would see a vulnerable man who was just as broken as she was.
“Why, Greyson.” She tilted her head. “Are we actually having a conversation without us yelling at each other?”
“Looks that way.” I grunted. Rising from the couch, I took a step toward the door when her voice stopped me.
“Please don’t leave.”
“I have to see why the fuck my men left you alone,” I grumbled. “And how that bastard got into my house.”
“Stay with me. Just for a little bit,” she insisted. “And then you can talk to them. I don’t want to be alone.”
“Why?” I spun on her. “Why would you want to spend any time with me?”
“Because although you’re an asshole, you make me feel safe. I …”
“What?”
“We have a connection.” Her cheeks reddened. “I don’t know what it is but I know you feel it too.”
I sighed, sitting back on the couch beside her. She was right. There was something different about her than the other women I had been with. She pushed me, fought me every step of the way, and, at the same time, welcomed me with open arms.
“Thank you,” she said a moment later.
“He wouldn’t have done anything.” Although I said it, even I didn’t believe it. “But it’s still better to be safe. You need to stay away from him.”
“Okay.” Eve moved a little closer toward me, her hip only a couple of inches from my hand that rested on the couch. “Are you going to protect me?” she asked, glancing down at my mouth.
“Eve.” I could feel her before she touched me. When her fingers wrapped around mine, my heart skipped a beat. One side of me wanted to pull away while the other wanted to push her back and fuck the shit out of her.
She looked up at me, her tongue licking along her bottom lip. “Greyson.”
My nostrils flared. Every damn time she said my name, it was like a jolt of pleasure hitting me square in the dick. But I couldn’t do this. I refused. I jumped from the couch, pacing back and forth, and blew out a slow breath.
“Grey.” She came up behind me, placing her hands on my back. “Sit with me.” Which was code for fuck me.
“Don’t.” I spun on her, forcing her to take a step back. “Don’t fucking touch me.”
“What the hell is your problem?” she demanded. Instead of running away like she should have, she grabbed onto my leather jacket. “Talk to me. Tell me what I’ve done.” Her hands roamed down my chest, sliding beneath my shirt. “Please.”
“Stop.” I grabbed her hands, stopping them from going any higher. “You don’t want me.”
“Yes, I do.”
“Eve.” I backed her up until she hit the wall. “You could do better.” My lips brushed over her forehead.
“I don’t want anyone else.” She arched against me.
“You shouldn’t want me,” I said, my voice rough. Running my hands down her sides, I gripped her hips, pulling her against me.
“You can’t stop this.” She kissed my cheek, brushing her mouth down the length of my jaw. “You may be in control of everything else but this is something neither of us have control over.”
I shivered at her words, knowing she was right. Cupping her ass, I ground into her.
“Tell me why you’re fighting this.” Eve leaned into me, matching the slow movements of my hips.
“I’ll hurt you.” My breathing picked up. “I’ll destroy every innocent inch of you.”
“What if that’s what I want?”
Her words set me off. Shoving away from her, I put some distance between us.
“Greyson,” she plea
ded, taking a step toward me.
“Stop.” I held up my hand.
“Why is this so hard for you?”
“You don’t want me, Eve.” I rubbed the back of my neck, needing to gain back some of the control she stole from my very fingertips.
“I know you want me.”
“Of course I fucking want you,” I growled, my voice coming out rougher than I would have liked. I wouldn’t have sat outside her room all those nights if I didn’t. I wouldn’t have kicked my own ass for not going to her when she clearly needed me.
“Then talk to me.” She closed the distance between us, grabbing onto my jacket.
“Eve.” I shoved out of her grip and headed back to the door. “Leave it alone.”
“Greyson, dammit, tell me what’s wrong. Why are you fighting this?”
“Because I don’t fucking deserve you,” I yelled, ripping the door open so hard it creaked on its hinges. Slamming it closed, I stomped down the hall.
When Catch came around the corner, I grabbed the collar of his leather cut and shoved him up against the wall.
“If I ever find her alone again when I’m not with her and when she’s not in her room, I will skin you alive.” I released him roughly and stomped off.
Once I reached the meeting room, I let out a curse and punched the wall.
Fuck.
HER WHIMPERS DROVE me insane.
She was having a nightmare, but I couldn’t do shit-all about it because I was a pussy.
Dropping my head in my hands, I waited it out. Why was I torturing myself? I had gone to see if she was awake, hoping to … talk? No. I wanted to fuck her. Again. Her pussy was the best thing I had ever felt and, like an asshole, I wanted her again even in her difficult state.
I had approached her door but saw that there was no light coming through the bottom of it. I turned to head back to my room when I heard her. She was mumbling something. Nothing that I could make out through the closed door.
