  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  After years of crafting stories at home and in her grandparents’ blue home in woods of Ellijay, Georgia, Emily Deibler gravitates toward macabre narratives. In her professional life, she studies social media and marketing, having earned a BA in English and currently pursuing an MA in Professional Writing, both at Kennesaw State University. Her short story “Papa’s Work” won first place in the Kennesaw State University English Department’s Undergraduate Creative Writing Awards, and her poem, “Turkey Hunting,” appeared in Z Publishing House’s Georgia’s Best Emerging Poets. She lives in Kennesaw, Georgia.

  Unlike her deceased relatives, she executes only her characters.
