“Ian asked me out,” she said, a small smile gracing her lips.

“He’s hot,” True said, joining the conversation.

I nodded in agreement, though Ian wasn’t really my type. But he’d stuck by us through this whole ordeal when he could’ve left, and he seemed like a good enough guy. And Coco deserved a good guy.

“That’s great, Coco,” I said with a bright smile.

“We’ve been hanging out,” she admitted, “and I really like him. I think we could have a lot of fun together.”

“Oh, yeah,” True said, waggling her eyebrows like she’d done to me earlier.

“You have a one-track mind,” I said, lightly shoving a hand against her shoulder.

“Of course, I do,” she said. “Have you seen Desmond’s chest and abs? Yum.”

  “Don’t answer that.”

I turned toward the deep voice to see Levi standing in the doorway. He was wearing a loose pair of sweats, and tight t-shirt, and the sexiest smile I’d ever seen.

“Nuh uh. No fair,” True pouted. “You get her alone for the next two weeks, lover-boy. You could at least give us tonight.”

“I’m sorry,” Levi answered, not sounding at all sorry. “But Desmond and Ian are downstairs looking for you two, and I told them I’d come fetch you. They said something about watching a movie in the theater room.”

“Bye, Pipes,” True said, so quickly a laugh erupted from me as she gave me a hard hug. “Have fun on your trip, and don’t forget to text me pictures.”

Coco leaned in next, repeating the order for pictures and telling me she loved me. The two of them scampered from the room, giggling with anticipation. Levi let them pass, then turned back to me with a smug smile.

“Were the guys really looking for them?” I asked suspiciously.

“Of course, they were.” He stepped fully in the room, closing and locking the door behind him. “And while I could have told them the girls wanted to spend some time with you before we leave, I couldn’t resist having you all to myself… starting now.”

Before I could blink, my back was on the mattress and Levi’s weight pressed me down, his thighs settling between my legs as he held his upper body above me with strong arms. His head dipped, his lips devouring mine in a forceful kiss.

I loved it. I loved the fact that he could unleash his passion on me now without the worry that he’d inadvertently hurt me. And I could meet that passion equally.

I bucked my hips and twisted to the side, flipping him off of me and onto his back. I straddled him, pressing my chest against his as I trailed kisses up his neck. His hands latched onto my hips, grinding me against him.

“Did you already say goodbye to your parents?” he asked.

“Mm, hmm,” I murmured, sucking his earlobe into my mouth. “Everyone else, too.”

“Good,” he said, tugging the hem of my shirt up.

I slithered out of it as he pulled, then watched his face as he admired my body. His passion was written all over his face, and I loved it. I loved him.

“Will it be like this forever?” I asked, laying a hand along his cheek.

“And always,” he said, nodding as the fire burned even brighter in his eyes.

“Good,” I replied, leaning in to kiss him again.

Levi and I would cherish, respect, and please each other for the rest of our days. I’d bring him joy, and he’d have my back. He’d make me deliriously happy, and I’d support him in all his endeavors. We’d find our purpose in this afterlife and our roles in our new extended family.

And we’d do it all with unconditional love and devotion.

  Forever and always.
