  “Yes, and I want to capture that old guy and the boy who have this strange power, I want them now” the commander instructed.

  “Yes, commander” the soldier agreed and saluted.

  Linex, Lysie and Joe went to Markson’s house and talked about the dire situation they were in at that moment while Linex was being tended to by Aunt Stacy, who saw how banged up he was.

  "I don’t understand, why would they be after Linex?” Lysie asked rather confused.

  “Why after him? He is weaker than me” Joe smirked, he grinned at Linex.

  Linex twisted his lips in a snarl. “Yeah right, don’t get cocky Joe”.

  “What are you mad? You injured baby” Joe teased further.

  “Enough!” Lysie smacked both boys on the head and they fell silent.

  “Maybe they are after you because of your ability, they would not go after someone with nothing extraordinary” Markson chimed in, he had been listening on the conversation of the boys.

  “True, but why? I mean they don’t look like they have the type of power to steal his ability, right?” Lysie asked astonished.

  “Weird…” Joe simply muttered.

  “Anyways Linex I’m done, you should take some rest for now ok?” Aunt Stacy announced wrapping the last bandage around Linex's upper arm. It smarted a little, but he didn't mind.

  “Alright, thank you Mrs. D.Freink" Linex said quite grateful.

  “Oh well, I’m leaving… here is my number if you all needed for help, see you all later” Joe said, he waved to his dad and headed out of the house.

  “I’ve saw the news and the city is going crazy with the trouble that happened there, and that old man was oddly familiar… do you know him Linex?” Markson noted.

  “Who!? I don’t know what you’re talking about… I don’t know him” Linex replied chortling.

  “Linex stop lying, he is probably his friend” Markson chided. “If he got so fast to where you guys where… why would he get so worried for Linex? Is there something more in Linex than the power he has? Linex I need you to take me to him”.

  “I don’t know really; I mean he doesn’t allow people to enter his hideout” Linex replied in a sullen manner.

  “I might know him, so please take me to his place” Markson insisted.

  “Alright then, let’s go… but if something bad happens I going to blame you” his voice had grown grave, he felt like he was betraying his Sensei.

  “Don’t worry, with me on your side there is nothing to worry about" Markson assured him, patting his back.

  “I’m going too” Lysie added. Linex simply nodded in agreement.

  It was a long walk to Aiden's place in the forest, but Markson, Linex and Lysie didn't mind.

  “So, tell me Linex what is he protecting you?" Markson furthered.

  “Well to tell you the truth he is my master” Linex confessed.

  “What! So, he has been training you all these days?” Lysie asked genuinely surprised.

  “Yeah… my bad I have not told you” Linex apologized.

  “It’s ok…" Lysie muttered.

  “We are getting close, be aware that there could be traps around this forest” Linex warned as they made their way towards Aiden's house which had appeared in a distance.

  After they got closer to Aiden’s house they found Aiden all wounded sitting under a tree, all of them ran to him.

  “Don’t get close! If they find you, you all will be caught!” Sensei Aiden croaked looking at them with a terror scribbled on his face.

  “Calm down Sensei, explain what is happening? why do these people suddenly want to capture me?” Linex asked.

  “You want to hear the truth… I am… the protector of this city, there are five protectors and each protector are far away from each other, we can’t stay together because the military would think we are joining forces to destroy their home and we must protect this place at all cost, or we would get killed” Sensei Aiden explained.

  Markson gasped, he could recognize Aiden now. “Oh no…”

  “You… you were the one who started ALL OF THIS!” Aiden cried pointing at Markson, they could both recognize each other now.

  “I… I’m sorry, I should have destroyed the laboratory quickly” Markson shook his head sadly.

  “I may not be one of them, but I heard of you, you were…” Aiden trailed off, they heard people talking and approaching their position.

  “You all have to go” Sensei Aiden coughed long and loud, barely able to mouth out the words.

  “I’m not going to leave you behind!" Linex insisted.

  “Exactly, we need you” added Lysie.

  They ran as fast as they could, but Sensei Aiden was getting dizzy he couldn’t move anymore.

  “Leave me please, they are getting close don’t worry about me. I will get a chance to escape them, trust me” Sensei Aiden urged.

  “Please don’t!” Linex cried.

  “Trust me my child, there is a machine in my house where it makes everything around its invisible hurry and turn it on" Sensei Aiden instructed.

  We must go Linex!” Markson said grabbing Linex and both escapes leaving Aiden behind.

  “NO! Aiden!” Linex screamed loudly.

  It wasn’t that easy since the soldiers were after them as well, but they managed to escape them completely and hid in Aiden’s house with the machine turned on and disguising the house, making it appear to be a forest.

  “What kind of machine is this?” Linex wondered.

  “Don’t know, but I must analyze it” Markson grunted, his eyes sparkled with fascination.

  “STOP! What do you you’re doing Markson, what did you do before? Why would the old man scream at you for no reason! Explain everything” Lysie demanded.

  “Right! What have you been hiding for years?” Linex chimed in.

  “I can’t say it” Markson said, he pushed a button summoning Joe.

  “You have been hiding to much stuff from us! And now I’m asking you… have you been hiding so many information from you son too?” Linex asked almost angrily.

  “Don’t drag my son into this Linex” Markson replied.

  Joe soon arrived shortly and entered the area since he knew how to access it. “What happened? I gave you my number!”

  “Yes, we haven’t forgot about it, but everything was all of a sudden” Linex said still shaken.

  “Well and where is Aiden?” he asked.

  “The military captured him, and he is all injured that we couldn’t get him here” Lysie quipped.

  “Pathetic of you Linex, you couldn’t get him safe” Joe muttered bitterly.

  “Don’t say that Joe” Lysie said quietly.

  “It was my fault I know… I should have been stronger to carry him, but he was so heavy I don’t know” Linex mumbled in anguish.

  He was starting to get angry and his white aura unleashed through his arms, his body had grown extremely hot and fire spun around him like a shield. “I should… I should… AHHHH!”. His aura exploded with rage and he manage to control it through his whole body. The force of the power sent a wave blast that enveloped the entire planet and someone else sensed it.

  “Well I guess someone is having the same issue, well since you are one of them you wouldn’t be living in those problems for long" the person clad in a hood muttered and unleashed blue flames on his hand.

  “Linex calm down, the machine is probably getting weaker because of the power” Markson said.

  “It’s alright… I’m getting ready" he replied turning to face Markson. “To save Sensei Aiden”.

  “Hmph, we must leave and let this place alone, for now must we separate alright if something bad happens take this when you press it Markson, Lysie and I will get the alert ok” Joe said handing the device to Linex.

  “Alright thanks Joe, let’s leave” Linex said.

r everyone left Linex headed to his house in Wollvalley and got to his mother.

  “Linex!” She hugged him tight. A look of worry on her face, she had feared something bad had happened to him.

  “Where were you? And those wounds! you are so grounded” his mother great abruptly.

  “Mom I can explain” Linex started.

  “Yeah right…” his mother sneered. "ALWAYS LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE"

  Urilion materialized right in front of her eyes, popping out of Linex's body. The dragon had a faint smile on its face. “Actually he really needs to explain”

  “Ahhhh! What is that?” his mother asked pointing at the floating Flaredragon.

  “I can explain that too” Linex hung his head low.

  “Kill that thing!” his mother retorted.

  “Hey, I’m not a bug you know” Urilion said quite disappointed.

  “It… it talks!” Jennica stammered pointing at the flying dragon.

  “Mom! Calm down, he is basically my guardian of my powers" Linex explained. His mother's eyes only grew wide.

  “Exactly like he said, please let me introduce myself my name is Urilion but Linex calls me Dray and I am his protector” said the dragon, with a dash of style.

  “Anyways mom, we have a big problem right now and we don’t know how long I going to be around the city” Linex said sadly.

  “Don’t tell me you showed your powers” Jennica broke down in tears. "So just like your father"

  “Mom, I’m sorry. But I have no choice and now I have to rescue my teacher from the military base, and it has to be quick before something awful happens to him" Linex said.

  “No, you are staying here at all cost, I don’t want you to get killed!”

  “Mom I’m not alone, I’m with Joe, Lysie and Markson we can rescue him trust me”

  “Linex no! you won’t go” his mother insisted.

  “MOM! Please! He is my teacher; he is teaching me how to control and become more stronger… then I have no choice… Sorry mom”. Linex recharged a fiery smoke around himself without burning anything nor hurting his mother but jumped out of the house.

  “Linex!” his mother called after him.

  “I cannot stay mom; I can put you in danger too that’s why I must leave… now… I’m coming for you sensei, I’m going to let you know I’m capable of saving you, you’ll see!” he called back and became a red streak of fire moving at top speed.

  CHAPTER 10

  UNITE THEM

  Linex kept running towards Markson’s house. He had to get to the others; especially Joe and Lysie. They had to come up with a plan.

  It was 8:30 p.m. and Linex was getting closer to Markson. “Mom and probably the rest don’t understand that there is something inside me that tells me to save him and I just can’t think about it and need to get to him quickly” he muttered to himself.

  “Linex is too late to be around here…” Markson said quite astonished to see Linex.

  “No time to say it” Linex declared pushing his way through into the house.

  “What are you trying to plot now Linex?” Markson asked.

  “We need to make something… like a huge machine for us to save Aiden” Linex said hastily.

  “Hey, take it easy they won’t just kill him quickly, probably they would ask some specific questions or torture him… testing him… Shot… you’re right Linex, we must really save him” Markson agreed.

  “Yeah so get everything ready and…” Linex trailed off.

  “Wait… we must have a plan, a team or… I know!” Markson said leading the way to his empty laboratory with Linex.

  “What happened here?” Linex asked looking around the deserted laboratory. “Did you park up, all of a sudden?”

  “Ever since I knew something bad was going to happen to me, I changed the location of my laboratory; it’s underground now” Markson said to Linex as they boarded a large tube in one of the secret hide outs of Markson.

  The tube went so fast like light; making Linex scream with terror, and then – it slowed down when the destination had been reached. It was one of Markson’s recent inventions.

  “I probably shouldn’t have screamed all the way” Linex grunted.

  “Yeah, right” Markson agreed. “But it’s always pretty crazy the first time, it’s a wonder you didn’t puke”

  “And where is Joe?” Linex asked,

  “He is sleeping, and I don’t want to disturb him, or he would knock me out like before while he was dreaming” Markson replied turning on the lights in the underground laboratory.

  “Alright then” Linex nodded in understanding.

  “I will have a suit for Lysie since she doesn’t have powers, but this suit has some combat skills set and some great abilities and let’s not forget the shield… and it’s ready to go all out” Markson explained as they planned on how to infiltrate the military base.

  “Alright so I need to get Lysie and Joe, right?”

  “Yes, and please don’t call them through phone calls or we will be goners, ok?”

  “Alright I understand; I’m going to wake Joe and find Lysie in her house I doubt her parents would let her go out at this time” Linex noted.

  “Take this” Markson handed him a taser gun. “Should come in handy”

  “What’s this for?” Linex gaped at the gun in wonder.

  “It’s just a toy alright, just shoot them and in five minutes they will be all fine” Markson assured.

  “Sure?” Linex asked doubtfully.

  “Just go!” Markson retorted and Linex bolted away.

  First he headed to Joe’s. Now, it was always really hard to get Joe to wake up in time once he had fallen asleep. “Hey Joe, we have to do some work… wake up”

  Joe only answered with a snore.

  “Joe, wake up… I know you are exhausted, but we need you now” Linex said nudging him.

  “Linex I’ll beat you up…” Joe mumbled groggily, pushing away Linex and hit on the wall.

  “Even I see the stars right now” Urilion commented telepathically.

  “Shut up Dray” Linex snapped.

  “What just trying to help a little” the dragon offered, chuckling hard.

  “That is no help. But, thank you”

  Linex got a stick and poked at Joe with it.

  “Enough!” he cried breaking it almost immediately.

  “You want it the hard way then…” Linex said gravely.

  “I don’t think that’s a good idea Linex” Urilion chimed in, Joe only rolled on his back and continued sleeping.

  “You’ll see, this will wake him up” Linex replied charging up a super punch which he slammed straight into Joe’s back. “Sorry buddy”.

  “Ow, ow, ow, what was that for! Who did… you –” Joe started up angrily, his face contorted with pain.

  “My bad Joe I…” Linex was saying – the words were hardly out before Joe slammed a punch in his face. Of course, this made Linex howl in pain.

  “Now we are even” Joe said quite satisfied.

  “Ow! That hurt man, we need you Joe!” Linex groaned rubbing his forehead, a small lump had started to form right there.

  “For what…?” Joe asked.

  “Your father is calling, he’s down in the lab” Linex informed him.

  “What for and why? At this time… totally weird” Joe said rolling his eyes. He headed to the kitchen to eat some sandwiches. “So, where is dad at this time again…?”

  “I told you in his laboratory”

  “Well I don’t see it, all I see is emptiness”

  “He moved all quickly before something bad happens here, the soldiers are now targeting us” Linex replied.

  “Yeah I know that, and I’m prepared for that” Joe said dismissively.

  “Joe…”

  “Yeah…?”

  “Does your father… hide things from you?” Linex
asked.

  “Well, I don’t know because most of the time he is very sincere to me” Joe replied with utmost caution.

  “Well I think he is hiding something that Sensei Aiden was saying the moment he got captured” Linex replied thoughtfully.

  “Like what?”

  “I don’t know but we have to get him back and ask him what is going on” Linex muttered silently.

  “We are ready to leave” Joe affirmed wearing his jacket. “Let’s go get him”

  “Right” Linex replied.

  While Joe and Linex were just finishing up and getting ready to pull of the escape plan, Commander Alderson and the other soldiers were also meeting Sensei Aiden in the military base.

  “Hello, you sick freak” Commander Alderson grinned, addressing the old man.

  “I’m not one of them you know” Sensei Aiden replied.

  The commander pummeled him in the face. “Even if you’re not one of them we still going to capture you and put to test your power”

  “You humans are the worst” Sensei Aiden spat at the commander.

  “Thank you! Now, take him away” Commander Alderson ordered. The old man was led to a secure box guarded by several soldiers.

  “At least Linex and the rest will be safe” he thought to himself, that alone – was comfort enough, in such trying times.

  “Commander, while we captured the old man there were three people with him probably they were like him” one of the soldiers, a bald-headed sergeant informed the commander.

  “For now we don’t know their location and there were two young boys and an old person” another soldier chipped in.

  “Very well, I need you all to get to work and find this people and bring them in” the commander instructed.

  “Yes, Commander…!” they both saluted and headed away.

  After the soldiers had left, Commander Alderson looked at the sky. “Soon the Earth will be recovered, and we can return”.

  “Well we are here” Linex announced.

  “I’ll knock the door” Joe stated heading towards the door.

  “NO!” Linex cried softly, blocking his way. Joe only gaped at him in utter confusion; he wondered what was up with Linex. Calling Lysie had been his idea.
