Jennica got up and glanced at Linex courageously. “Linex get everything, you need to go” she said.

“Mom… right!” Linex got out his bags and his jacket and he proceeded to wear it.

“I need a jacket too” Lysie whined, eyeing Linex's leather jacket.

“Don’t worry, I have a few here if you need” Jennica chipped in smiling.

  “Thanks” Lysie squealed happily.

“Oh forgot to tell you my name is Jennica and is a pleasure to meet you uhhh” Jennica said introducing herself officially.

“Lysie and it’s a pleasure too” Lysie said still smiling.

“So tell me are you Linex’s girlfriend or something?" Jennica furthered.

  "Mom!” Linex groaned.

“Uh no, I’m just his friend” Lysie winked at Linex.

  “Yes! Yes…” Linex agreed.

Stephen knocked the door and Lysie quickly opened it.

“Hey, Linex” Stephen waved. He was standing at the entrance of the room.

  “What's up? Steve” Linex said.

“No time for happy moments, we need all the information of the place quickly” Lysie urged.

“Sure” Stephen replied sitting at the PC.

Two people showed up at the door covered up and Linex unleashed his powers for protection.

“Who are you?” He asked cautiously.

“Hey, Hey, Hey. It’s us” Markson said soothingly.

“How could you not recognize us? Noob” Joe chided him.

“I’m just nervous with all of this” Linex grunted shaking his head.

“I can see that” Joe muttered.

“Ok then, I’ve got the road for you guys to get hiding spot, there is a part where is going to be risky because in these days there is a festival occurring in the streets and it would be difficult, but I know you guys can go through” Stephen announced, his fingers moving rapidly on the keyboard.

“Let me get the information in my watch” Markson said taking a picture of the screen with his watch. “Perfect, all is set”.

“We still have Markson secret laboratory, if we just stay there…” Linex suggested.

“It won’t hold for long until the military discover the pipes” Joe pointed out.

  “You're right” Linex agreed.

“Very well, you guys have all prepared are you ready to get over there?” Stephen asked.

“Yes we are” They all chorused.

“I’ll be guiding you guys if it’s necessary” Stephen informed them.

“Alright then, welcome to the team then Stephen” Linex said.

“Thanks, and what is the name?” Stephen asked.

  “Team Magna” Lysie chipped in.

“Good name for a team with only four people” Stephen commented.

“We are just getting started with it” Linex grunted.

  “Ah got it”

“Ok then pack up everything!” Linex instructed. "Let's get ready to roll"

“Linex…” his mother called to him.

“Mom…” she hugged him so tight, he could almost feel his ribs crack.

“Please be ok out there” his mother said kissing him on the cheek.

“ouch ha-ha… I will mom, thanks for everything and for believing in me. I’ll be back I promise” Linex replied handing her his necklace.

“Here for you… too...” she replied also giving him a bracelet.

“What is this for? It’s strange” Linex regarded the bracelet.

“Whenever you are in trouble use it, your father gave it to me if something happened, but for now I haven’t been in trouble so please take it, maybe it can be useful for you” his mother explained.

“Ok then, thank you mom… Love you” Linex nodded wearing the bracelet.

“Ok then let’s go” Linex said.

Team Magna headed out of the house towards the hidden building.

In another planet; not too far off from “Earth”. An unknown figure shrouded in dark amour kneels before someone.

“My lady…” came a salient whisper. “What is it you seek?” was the reply.

“When will I get to fight them again” there was impatience in his voice. "I want to confront them again"

“Now is not the time, let it be and get more Smokelings"

“Ok my lady, pardon for my impatience” the figure apologized.

“Let them have their fun for now, soon, my body will be perfect…” this was inadvertently followed by a loud cackle.

  CHAPTER 14

  A SOCIAL TROUBLE

As soon as they got out of Linex’s house, everything started going downhill. They were already halfway across the main street and headed for the narrow intersection. Most of the mini-marts, gas stations, and shops were almost empty and deserted.

Stephen stopped suddenly. He had this apprehensive look which made the others stop.

“What is wrong Steph?” Linex asked with concern.

“Come on, hurry and get moving” Joe urged.

“We need to go down the sewers” Stephen said pointing down at the tunnel which was barely covered at the other side of the street. It was section of the street that had been destroyed during the last fight between the smoke monster and Linex and Sensei Aiden. It was that very route that led to the sewers.

“What! Oh no, no, no, no!” Lysie protested.

“Lower your voice Lysie and besides it would be better if we don’t want to get caught by the cops around the city, going underground is the best option for me” Linex scolded her.

“But I don’t want to!” Lysie groaned. "THERE COULD BE RATS DOWN THERE!" she added quite scared. The thought of those scuttering hairy animals creeped her out.

“What’s with girls who are so afraid of going to the sewers is like if we find some creepy clown down there” Joe shook his head and picked her up. She climbed onto his back.

“Don’t make things worse, Joe” Linex said.

“Shut it Linex, she has to be forced to get rid of that fear” Joe shot back.

“What are you going to do Joe?” Linex asked regarding his friend.

Joe didn't reply but said. “No girls allowed in the street!” and proceeded to drop Lysie just at the entrance of the sewer.

  She uttered a shrill scream.

“Why Joe?” Linex asked trying to catch Lysie and he stared at him with a poker face.

“What? Now she is fearless because of me” Joe replied chuckling.

Markson grabbed both Joe and Linex by their shirts. “Come on, let’s go” he hissed. "We're wasting time"

“Hey! Wait for me!” Stephen shouted after them.

They moved ahead through the sewers, which stank of mold, stagnant water and dead rats.

“By the way where is Lysie? She supposed to be here by now, right?” Joe asked peering around in curiosity.

“She is probably way ahead” Stephen offered.

“I totally agree with him, if she was scared I can imagine her running for her life to get out of this place” Markson nodded.

“Urgh. LYSIE!” Joe croaked, wishing he had not dropped her into the sewer.

“You scared her away what can you expect? Is like you think you’re a professional psychologist” Linex said with disinterest.

“Oh shut up Linex I was just trying to help” Joe rolled his eyes.

“Well that surely was indeed helpful of you” Linex added sarcastically.

A scream came sharply, piercing through the dark sewer.

“What the…?" They all stood transfixed.

“Run!” came the voice of Lysie. She was being pursued by hundreds of red eyed bugs flying after her.

“Oh no!” Linex turned and bolted.

“Lysie are you kidding me?” Joe gasped joining him, alongside Markson and Stephen.

“Markson do you have something useful, so t
hat we can go faster!” Linex shouted as they bounded through the sewers.

“Yes I have three hoverboards, powered by hydronium” Markson declared. He proceeded to open his bag and handed out the skateboards.

“Perfect! Give me one” Joe grabber the skateboard and rides on it. “Lysie hop on quickly!”

“Why with you? Jerk!” she refused still running and panting heavily.

Joe ignored her and grabbed her hand, pulling her on to the board and they move forward.

“Linex take it quick!” Markson threw the board at Linex.

“Alright got it!” Linex said mounting the board.

Markson jumped high and threw the skateboard and moved forward.

“Stephen quickly grab my hand!” Linex stretched his hand towards him.

“I can’t go faster!” Stephen cried still panting hard. The bugs were getting closer.

“Come on!” Linex screamed. “Stephen at the count of three, slide down quick!”

  “Got it!” Stephen affirmed.

Linex boosted the board and charges a super fire beam. “Play with this” Linex blasted the fire beam, obliterating the bug and grabbed Stephen at the same time.

“You should do some cardio Stephen” Linex commented.

Stephen only laughed. “Knock it off”

They finally reached the other side of the tunnel and Linex could make out while Markson, Joe and Lysie were waiting for them.

“Hey!” Markson shouted slowing down. “You made it, took you long enough to catch us”

“I know, just I couldn’t control the board very well and Stephen was going to be bug meal” Linex replied breathing hard.

“Yeah I thought for a moment that I was a goner” Stephen heaved a sigh.

“Both of us were going to be, but thanks to me we made it out ha-ha” Linex winked.

  “True” Stephen nodded.

“Well then let’s get moving” Markson said. They headed towards the other side, which led to the exit. Linex glanced at Joe and found Lysie holding on to him, he felt a pang of jealousy.

“Have we got there yet?” Linex asked.

“Almost… the exit is right ahead for a few seconds” Stephen affirmed.

“Ok then, thanks Steph” he replied.

Soon, they could make out light just at the end of the tunnel.

“We’re here prepare yourselves” Markson advised.

  “Alright” Joe replied.

They got out of the sewers and they could see the festival going in the streets.

“Well then Steph, are we closer?” Joe asked again, he was starting to get quite nervous.

“Yes, we have to go through the festival now” Stephen replied checking the map readings.

“Ok then, I guess this won’t be that hard” Linex noted. They forged ahead.

  ***

While Linex and the others were going to the festival, Sensei Aiden was talking himself in his cage.

“I can sense they are coming to the military, If they break in the military they will be target to be the dangerous beings out there, if they stay they will be captured soon, it would be an end for them and if they escape they’ll probably have to leave the planet for sure” Aiden said.

There was a knock on the door. And in, popped the Commander.

“How you’re doing?” Commander Alderson asked quite seriously.

  Aiden stayed silent.

“Very well then. You’re okay for what I can see, and I want you to know something about the teens” Commander Alderson furthered.

  Aiden looked up in shock.

“I have sent four hunters to hunt them down” Commander Alderson added with a grin on his face.

“NO!” Aiden screamed punching the wall. “How could you… you will pay for what you’ve done!”

“Who? Me? If you were the one who failed to be hidden from the society, and now you want to be forgiven? You got that wrong, my friend… plus you don’t belong in this world” the commander sneered.

“I’m not your friend, and even if I don’t belong into this world I gave my live to protect it” Sensei Aiden replied.

“Nonetheless, who is that boy you protected?” Alderson asked.

  Aiden only remained silent again.

“Oh and just you know get yourself to be prepared, because what is coming for you is nothing easy” Commander Alderson said walking away.

  ***

“You know this festival looks pretty great!” Linex commented as they made their way through the mammoth crowd.

“We don’t have time to have a good moment now” Lysie replied. Although, she had eyes on some necklaces that were on display in a nearby shop.

“Exactly, and we need to find some masks, or we will be busted” Stephen added.

“Let me see… Oh there is a mask store!” Markson declared excitedly.

“Why should I wear a mask for? If we are close already?” Joe asked.

“It’s necessary, because the social media is going around the festival and if we get caught we might even appear on TV” Markson explained.

“Well then go and buy it” Joe shrugged.

Stephen and Lysie went off to the store and while Joe, Markson and Linex waited.

“What is this feeling? I can’t move…” Linex wondered to himself.

“Linex! can you hear me?" Urilion asked.

“What is it Dray?” Linex asked.

“I feel someone is pursuing us” Urilion admonished.

“I don’t think it’s these people” Linex trailed off then suddenly, someone dressed in black glanced at Linex. Then as people passed, he disappeared.

“We have to go” Linex said alerting Joe and Markson. Lysie and Stephen got out of the store.

“Linex what happened? we got the masks now, let’s go” Lysie displayed the masks.

“Uh, oh well… ok then” Linex agreed.

“Took you long enough” Joe chimed in.

“Shut it” Lysie snapped at him.

“Ok then, we are close now” Stephen informed the group, he was squinting hard at the map.

“What is it Linex?” Joe asked observing Linex who seemed quite restless. He had been looking around furtively.

“Oh! It’s nothing really, nothing to worry about!” Linex said.

“Hmph, if you say so" Joe shrugged.

Suddenly the figure who saw Team Magna got out a communicator. “I’ve found them” a voice said addressing the other two shrouded figures.

“Very well done, tomorrow we will make our move so get prepared” the figures replied still watching Linex and his friends.

  “Understood” the voice agreed.

“Soon everything will be over” the shrouded figure smiled, and they vanished.

After a while, Linex and his friends arrived at the abandoned building.

“Alright we are here” Stephen announced.

  “Finally” Lysie sighed with relief.

“Ok then, now we have to prepare the computers to hack the military and find Aiden’s location” Markson instructed.

“I can help you on that” Stephen offered.

“Oh no, I mean you are too little for these beautiful and genius works” Markson replied dismissing him.

“Well I can see you are underestimating me; I’ll show you when we start the work” Stephen said.

“Stop the arguing and let’s go in” Lysie scolded.

“Move it already I am starving” Joe groaned. Holding his belly in a mock imitation of a dying man.

“We didn’t bring food Joe by the way" Linex teased.

“You didn’t bring WHAT!” Joe slumped down and punched the wall.

“I thought mom put something to eat but probably she forgot to” Linex replied disappointed.

The mission to rescue Sensei Aiden was now in progress.

  CHAPTER 15

  AWKWARD PLACEr />
Team Magna arrived at the building by 5:00 p.m. and they began to look around to see where to put the computers, but first they needed to check if there was any power source.

“So you said that there is power in this building, are you sure?” Markson asked doubtfully.

“Huh? Of course, I’m sure there is, don’t doubt my calculations” Stephen affirmed.

“Well let’s see” Markson responded taking out his big computer out of the little metal box that he had carried. Linex and the others were confused about that box.

“Uhh… how did you do that?” Linex gaped at the computer in astonishment.

“Scientific secrets my friend, well then let’s see if he is rig…” Markson winked at Linex.

However, Stephen turned on the lights with his laptop. “Got it functioning!” he exclaimed quite excited.

“Who did you? Wait… you turned the lights on with that little trash!?” Markson glanced down at the laptop in shock.

“It’s not trash, it's my laptop, can you be a little gentle with your words?” Stephen chided.

“Oh well forget it, at least everything is functioning. Ok now… we must continue with the placements of the machines” Markson dismissed the issue and settled down to work on his computer.

“What about us? What can we do?” Joe asked, feeling left out.

“Ok then, I need you three to go to the technology store because I need a special hard drive called H-B90, just in case I need additional information of the base” Markson instructed them.

“Ok then, let’s go” Lysie nodded her head in agreement.

“I’ll draw a map quickly so that you don’t get lost” Markson said taking out a pen.

  “A’ight” Linex said.

Markson started drawing the map in the desk, Linex was however still thinking about the shadow that he had seen back at the festival.

“Who could that person be? I wonder if the base ordered that figure to follow us, but I have to stay in guard” he thought to himself, shuddering uncontrollably.

“Linex what’s wrong? You’ve been like that since we got here is there something bothering you?” Lysie's voice broke through his train of thoughts.

“No, it’s nothing I was just thinking of all of this computer things going on now, I wish I could be like them he-he…” Linex replied, smiling nervously.
