  A big thanks to John J. Thompson. I’ve written plenty of songs and even a musical with a stage play, but never a book before. When I completed the first draft of the manuscript, I wanted an experienced writer with another set of eyes to help me make it better. I asked John J. Thompson to take that job. He acted as my editor, sounding board, and clean up man. We worked together for several months re-arranging, editing, re-writing, and sanding on the manuscript endlessly. I thank John profoundly for his contributions. The book is much improved due to his selfless work.

  About the Author

  Throughout his over fifty years in music, EDDIE DEGARMO has had a storied career with success as an artist, songwriter, producer and businessman. He was one of the leading pioneers of contemporary Christian music as part of rock duo DeGarmo and Key, which was recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. During his seventeen years with D&K and a successful solo endeavor, DeGarmo sold millions of albums and garnered nine Grammy nominations and dozens of Dove Award nominations. He went on to co-found ForeFront Records, where he developed multi-platinum-selling and Grammy-winning artists such as dcTalk, Stacie Orrico, Audio Adrenaline, Geoff Moore and The Distance, and Rebecca St. James. He was then recruited to lead Capitol CMG Publishing. Under his supervision that company went on to change the face of modern worship music. Eddie and his wife Susan enjoy their daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids in Nashville, TN.
