Without Fear

“My turn,” Macy said.
Logan wasn’t sure what that meant because the last time Macy had said something similar, Logan had ended up topping. Not that he gave a fuck who topped, but he’d follow Macy’s lead.
Sure enough, Macy pushed him back and rolled a condom down his dick. He clenched his teeth at the slender fingers on his cock.
“We’re going to need to work on your communication skills.”
“Why?” A cute frown furrowed Macy’s brow.
“Because usually when someone says me first, they mean they’re going to pitch.”
“Spoken like a true top.” Macy grinned down at him and straddled his hips.
A squish and a snick and lube was dumped into Macy’s hand and the man was reaching around to ready himself.
“Let me help you.” He caressed the silky skin at Macy’s hips.
“No.” Macy shook his head, lips pursed. “I want to be tight.”
Logan groaned and dropped his hands away from temptation. All he could do was lace his fingers at the back of his head and enjoy the show.
Macy licked at his lips and reached for his covered cock. Logan hissed when the man’s slim fingers closed around his length and slathered him up.
Macy leaned forward and his hair spilled like silk over his skin. Each lick and brush of the long, dark strands felt like fire.
“Macy,” he growled, yanking his hands from behind his head to grip the slender man’s hips.
Macy smiled and lifted up, reaching around to place his crown at his tight entrance. His dick popped inside and Macy’s tight channel gripped and sucked him deep when Macy seated himself.
“Oh fuuuuck,” he groaned, sliding his hands along the top of Macy’s thighs before he closed one firmly around Macy’s thrusting cock.
Macy sat upright and tossed his head back, riding his dick like he’d been born for it. Taking him so deep that Logan thought his head would explode. He twisted up the length of Macy’s cock, collected the precome at the tip, and then slid to the base.
“Yeah.” Macy undulated, thrusting into his hand while moving his tight ass up and down his dick.
Logan sent his hips upward with a careful thrust. Macy gasped and slid his palms up his forearms before bending forward to tease him with light, taunting kisses.
Logan chased those delectable lips until Macy crushed into the kiss hard, hot, and loving. He fisted Macy’s hair and parted his lips, their tongues tangling. His other hand closed around Macy’s cock.
Macy gasped into his mouth and sent his butt grinding down.
Macy yanked his head back. “I can’t, oh god, I can’t hold it.” His emotions were getting the better of him.
Logan tightened his hand around Macy’s dick and the man came hard. Warm come spilled over his fingers and Macy curled forward, lost in the throes of orgasm. The grip of Macy’s channel around his cock squeezed and Logan lost his ability to think. His own release rolled up and over him and he shuddered with a long, low groan.
Much like a wet noodle, Macy sprawled forward against his chest and Logan closed his arms around the younger man. He carded his fingers through the loose, dark strands, enjoying the silky feeling.
Macy’s head lifted, and he crossed his arms and propped his chin on them. Blue eyes gazed at him with emotion swirling in the depths.
“We’re involved.”
“Agreed.” He tightened his hands.
“You love me.” There went that impish smile he absolutely adored.
“Yes.”
“We’re a couple.”
“Yes.”
Macy smiled. “I love your one word responses.”
“I get my point across,” he teased, loving the soft look in Macy’s eyes, and he gladly returned the series of gentle, loving kisses.
They lay like that for several long moments, enjoying the feel of each other.
“Where do you live?” The curious frown on Macy’s brow brought a snort of laughter.
“In a house.”
Macy smacked his arm.
“Can I see it?”
“Of course.” Nothing would give him more pleasure than showing Macy his home and hopefully someday, the man would call it his own.
“Hey, you two,” Jaxon’s voice came muffled through the doorway after a brief knock. “I hate to break up this Hallmark moment, but we need to plan. We don’t want them coming here.”
“Let them come, we’re ready,” Macy called back.
“Not yet, we need to get to a safe place,” Logan whispered, tightening his arms.
“So, we can hide away?” Macy edged back with a glare.
Hell yes, he so wanted to snarl. He didn’t want Macy anywhere near Siegel and his band of fucking mercenaries. He had enough money at his fingertips to make him and Macy disappear forever if needed, but he couldn’t do that. That way of thinking had sent Macy from him and he wouldn’t risk it again.
“No,” he said, because he truly knew when to fold.
Macy was his own man and Logan respected the hell out of the guy. “We need to take it away from my headquarters. So, we need to make a plan and I can get you geared up.”
“Well,” Macy’s beautiful face cleared, “alrighty then.”
Logan groaned.
Yep! Hooked, line and sinker.
Logan
Whenever Macy moved, he moved with him, like an overprotective papa bear. Call him crazy, but he feared letting Macy out of his sight.
They’d taken over one of the US Marshals’ safe houses that was located in a warehouse district in Denver. It was semi-deserted, but wouldn’t be for long. Both he and Macy agreed they’d call in SWAT and local DPD when or if Siegel decided to breach the building.
Macy moved gingerly to the table that held the weapons. The slow movement wasn’t only from the rough pounding earlier. If Macy thought he was fooling him by plastering on a smile and acting like he wasn’t hurting from the bullet wound, then he had another think coming.
Logan wasn’t fooled, and shifted closer. The decadent scent drifted on the air between them and he drew in a slow, deep breath. Macy had ordered a bunch of stuff delivered and had used his shower. The sweet-scented body lotion had gone straight to his cock like a breath of sunshine and stayed there.
One of the alarms on the back door went off, effectively crushing his slight daydream.
“It’s them,” Hayden said.
“I want to know how the hell they breached the back door.” Hitch spun around in his chair before touching the middle of his black rimmed glasses and moved them up his nose. Equally dark hair fell over his brow and he shook that back before adjusting the glasses again.
“We invited them in,” Jaxon rasped.
“We what?” Hitch looked aghast.
“We left the side door unlocked,” Hayden offered as further explanation.
Macy snickered when Hitch’s throat moved with a hard swallow.
“Oh, okay.” Hitch blinked, wide eyed.
“You’ll be fine in here with Jett and Nathan. They can’t get through that door unless you let them in,” Logan assured the young agent before pointing to the steel plated door.
The door was one of many that led into the warehouse and was built to withstand an attack. The warehouse had been in the possession of the US Marshals for a decade and had seen many a battle. Or so Marshal Mac Mackenzie had told him.
“Good.” Hitch gave a huge sigh of relief.
“I got your back,” Nathan offered the skittish young man.
Hitch chewed on his lip before he turned and continued setting up his laptop, plus a monitor he’d brought to help with the visuals. Hitch had been able to tap into the outside monitors, but hadn’t as of yet hooked up inside access. It wasn’t the best view because parts of the building’s exterior were hidden from the camera angle, but it was the best they could do on such short notice.
Jaxon slapped a cartridge into his semi-automatic weapon and Hitch jumped.
“Easy,” Hayde
n scolded the big man. “You’re scaring the children.”
Jaxon shot Hayden a flat look, causing the smoking hot guy to laugh.
“How much damage is too much?” Hayden turned to Alexander.
“Don’t worry about damage, I’ll cover the cost,” Logan interrupted before Alexander could respond. He tucked extra clips into his windbreaker.
Macy took several clips from the table and shoved one into his Glock and the rest into his pockets.
“I’ll help with the cost since this is my shit show,” Logan explained.
“Absolutely not!”
He thought it would be Macy who argued, instead it was Alexander.
“I spoke to the Assistant Director. Forest is prepared to cover the cost of apprehending Siegel.”
Alexander turned to Hitch. “Did you get the news out?”
“I did. The word on the street is that Cobalt Security has moved to a temporary location, reason unknown.”
“Think Siegel will buy it?” Macy asked, strapping on an FBI bulletproof vest.
“I’m not sure,” Logan responded. “But if I were Siegel, I’d at least check it out.”
“The goal is to take one or more of these guys alive. We need to get Siegel’s location out of them,” Macy said, reminding the men.
“If Siegel isn’t with them.” He side eyed Macy.
“Right, that.” Macy grinned at him and he couldn’t help but smile.
The rest of his men agreed except for Jaxon, who sighed. Logan knew the why for the sigh, Jaxon was a fighter. He lived for the thrill of the hunt, but more for the kill.
“Don’t worry.” Hayden, who knew Jaxon best, tossed the bodyguard a grin and cackled, “You’ll get to shoot someone.” He said the words like a promise.
“Such a smartass.” Jaxon squinted at Hayden, but it didn’t seem to faze the smirking man.
The pair had been best friends before coming to work for him. He’d wondered about their relationship, but Hayden assured him they were only friends, and Jaxon insisted that fucking Hayden would have been like screwing his little brother. Of course, the flash of something on Hayden’s face at those words had Logan wondering, but he’d seen no signs of anything other than friendship between the two.
Macy smoothed a hand down a tight-fitting shirt. At his office, the man had changed into all black attire and the material stretched, fitting like a glove to every single bit of his slim, sexy body. It took Logan a second to realize that the room had gone quiet and another second to realize Macy was waiting for an answer from him, but he had no idea of the question.
“What?” he said.
“Ready?” The blue in Macy’s eyes sparkled along with the laughter.
“Of course,” he responded, ignoring the laughter because of the seriousness of the situation, but more than that, he was ready, ready for some payback. Because of what he’d done to Macy, Siegel deserved no less than the full weight of his power.
To make up for his lack of response, Logan lifted Macy’s hand and brought it to his lips. The laughter in Macy’s eyes melted, only to be replaced by a soft, loving expression. The room suddenly got busy, giving them a moment of privacy.
“Stay by my side,” Macy ordered, and the tight, harshly whispered words brought a smile to his lips.
“I won’t be anywhere else,” he assured him.
They left the room in teams of three. The warehouse was three levels plus the roof.
Team one: him, Macy, and Felix, were taking the second level.
Team two: Jaxon, Hayden, and Brick, took the third floor.
Team three consisted of Alexander, Wild, and Storm, who would cover the bottom level. Storm was one of Wild’s husbands and was on loan from Giovanni Rossi. The man had shown up about an hour earlier, and other than a few stony glances accompanied with a grunt, Storm had said nothing. The only softening Logan had noted had been when Wild had flung himself into the man’s arms. Wild was tall, so it was startling to see the size difference. Storm made Wild seem petite. Logan had thought Brick was a giant, but next to Storm, the man didn’t seem so big. It didn’t hurt that Storm was an expert sniper.
Team four was Jett and Nathan, who would be staying back to protect Hitch and the central hub equipment.
“System check,” Hitch’s voice came through the small mic tucked into his ear.
“Roger,” he murmured, as did the rest of the team.
Stepping out of the room, they split up.
Macy
Logan stalked at his side and he couldn’t help but frequently glance over. Like a magnet, he felt drawn to Logan. Even when they moved, he noticed they moved in perfect sync.
Felix slipped ahead of them.
Logan, having felt his gaze, suddenly locked eyes with his. And even though they had much to discuss, he knew they’d get through it. The love shining from Logan’s green eyes was heart stopping and he knew his own love was reflected back.
It was strange how at ease he suddenly felt. He’d tried to keep Logan at arm’s length to protect him from Siegel, but Macy never felt more protective and protected than he did with Logan by his side.
Everything suddenly made so much sense. He and Logan had been fighting their similarities. They’d both set out to protect the other. He was as much at fault as Logan.
“After we get this done,” he whispered to Logan, “we are sitting down and talking.” Logan seemed of the same mind and his lip quirked.
“Definitely.” Logan brushed his fingers against his cheek.
“Son of a bitch!” Jaxon shouted and gunfire echoed through the mic.
“Let’s move!” Logan barked.
Macy lifted his gun and moved at Logan’s side as they caught up to Felix. They cleared the hallway to the stairwell and moved upward to the second floor.
“How the fuck did they get up to the third level?” he growled.
“They climbed up the back of the warehouse,” Alexander responded.
“Hitch? You got eyes on the back of the warehouse?”
“Yes, but they came in out of camera range. I didn’t see them coming,” the techie admitted.
“Copy that,” Logan replied.
They couldn’t blame the techie. Macy had known that there was a good chance Siegel and his men might hit the warehouse before they had a chance to fully setup. It was mostly because they made no move to hide their movements. Siegel, or rather Siegel’s men, had been on their tail since leaving the Cobalt Security office building in downtown Denver.
“Jaxon? Need help?” Logan growled.
“We’re good, there’s only two of them,” Jaxon said cockily and gunfire filtered through the man’s mic.
Entering the second floor, they moved swiftly. Macy rounded a corner and surveyed the empty hallway before he lowered his gun so Logan could step past. He, Logan, and Felix did that, alternating, moving along the hallway until they reached the east side of the building. He checked his watch, clearing the floor had taken them six minutes.
“Charles, you copy?” Logan asked the detective through the mic.
“I’m here,” Charles responded.
“Have SWAT move in.”
“On it, they are two minutes out. We’ll secure the perimeter,” the cop replied.
The SWAT team and their commander had taken up a spot in a vacant lot of a business park a few blocks over.
“Check in,” Macy whispered to the teams, pressing his earpiece.
“Fuckers have dug into the back office up here,” Jaxon responded.
“First floor is clear so far on our end,” Wild said.
“We’re fine in the hub,” Jett replied.
“We’ll make our way up to you, Jaxon.” He caught Logan’s gaze and then reached for the door handle to the stairs and eased it open. With a quick, darting look, he scanned the area and then nodded.
Silently, the three of them entered the stairwell and paused, listening to the sound of muffled gunfire from the level above where Jaxon, Hayden, and Brick were return
ing gunfire.
“Team two heading up the east stairwell to the third floor,” Logan advised as they headed upward.
They reached the third-level door when noise from below drew them to a stop and they flattened against the wall for a moment. Macy darted a quick look over the railing before drawing back. “Two men coming up the east stairwell from the first floor,” he whispered to Logan.
“Team three? You close to them?” Logan touched the mic in his ear.
“On it,” Wild responded.
They moved on and reached the top floor. The warehouse only had the three floors, there was one more set of stairs that led to the roof. Slipping through the door into the dark third floor, gunfire broke out behind them.
“Two suspects down,” Wild reported a few seconds later.
“Get your ass back over here,” Storm grumbled.
“I’m on my way, Stormy.”
Macy could almost hear the grin in Wild’s voice.
“Team three is going up. We will bypass the third floor and take the roof,” Storm rasped.
“Roger that, team three,” Detective Charles came over the mic. “Watch for SWAT on the roof.”
“Copy,” Wild answered.
Stepping into the darkened hallway of the third floor, he paused along with Logan and Felix. Gunfire echoed and Jaxon’s cursing came through the mic.
For one crazy thought, he could have sworn he heard Jaxon laugh and it sounded a bit diabolical like the guy was having the time of his life.
They cleared the few rooms nearest to them and found no visual signs of perps.
The corner of the doorway splintered and wood chips flew into the air. Dust and debris covered him and Macy ducked into a crouch and spat the dust from his mouth.
He swung his arm around the corner and fired off a few rounds. Logan had done the same except he was in the opposite doorway across the hall from him and Felix.
“Roof has SWAT, we’re coming down to help on the third floor,” Wild said, his tone warning them to be aware.
