Agent Eve

by Julie Huleux

She admired the nuances of his green eyes and the rugged grain of his skin, scarred in places. Six smiled at her softly. Intensely and sincerely. Before covering her chest in kisses, he continued on her stomach and she followed him with her gaze, astonished. He had the same lightness on his lips when he went down to her sensitive groin. His agile hands finished with her jeans that ended up abandoned on the floor. His mouth made a stop several times down her legs. When he touched the top of her thighs, Eve trembled. Six lifted his eyes to her, on his knees at her feet, and it was his turn to raise a playful eyebrow as he rolled down her panties.

At the moment he kissed her there in an infinitely suave kiss, placed like an offering on her, Eve could no longer take the gaze of her lover. The tension abandoned her body as her pleasure mounted. She who never gave in completely, who considered sex as a combat sport, suddenly surrendered. It was almost despite herself, her body deciding to leave room for a bit of love.

Six held her back when he felt her swooning at the edge of an orgasm. He straightened up, trailed kisses back to her mouth to collect each of her moans as he stroked her, his fingers still inside her.

Soon the softness of the bed received them. Eve smiled, overwhelmed. Fifteen minutes ago she would have demanded the man take her with no forward, stood against the wall or even on the floor. Now, she appreciated each murmur, each kiss, and each languorous second. Passion burned of a different fire. Intense but not violent, and that unsettled her. She wanted him, intensely wanted to feel him inside her, but that was not the animal satisfaction she desired… It was union. And that had not happened to her for a long time.

Doing what she did, continuously risking her life on perilous missions, she did not take the time to love. Not even for a night. Assuaging her sexual thirst was nothing like what happened in that room. It was beyond a carnal meeting. Being the exaltation of adrenaline and of feeling alive.

The expression “making love” suddenly made sense.

Their intertwined bodies, shared glances, the beginning of a silent conversation. They moved in agreement like in an indolent dance, they discovered previously unknown sensitivities and revealed themselves.

Eve and Six were perfect strangers. They had been a team for only a few days. He did not know her whole story, she did not even know his real name. The connection between them however was obvious.

With the full length of his penis in her, with all the impatience they had, he taught her to use the treasures of finesse.

He moved harder when she encouraged him, accompanied her in changing positions that she initiated and held her against his heart when she finally arched, at the height of an orgasm. Blinding and invaluable.

He liked the velvet of her skin on his. He liked it even more the second time, tangled in the sheets and the mix of their colours. The brown and the pale, so intimately fused. He found the contrast had a stunning picturesque, but did not formulate his wonder at their differences. No more than he dared express his trouble at everything that brought them together.

Exhausted and emotional, he fell asleep holding Eve in his arms, rocked by her soft breathing in his neck.

When he woke up, daylight was growing weaker though the curtains. The bed was still warm from their embraces, but he was only holding thin air.

  She was gone.

It was like a slap in the face. He got out of bed, pulled on his trousers quickly and opened the door to the bedroom wide.

She was not in the sitting room either, playing cards with the other agents. No visible trace of the young woman.

“Where is she?” he asked more brutally than he would have liked.

His colleagues at their posts in the apartment stared at him incredulously. They had not moved from the sofa and did not make a single comment on the few hours of pleasure that Number Six had just had with the unknown beauty he was with.

“The spy, for crying out loud!” he exclaimed at their silence. “She can’t have left this room without you noticing?”

“No one has left the apartment! Not even to order food, damn it! Calm down, Six.”

Number Six was known in the service for his composure and professionalism. They had never seen him loose his calm, and instantly worry could be read on the faces of the other agents. If the girl had ran away on their watch, they would be in for a rough time and the anger of the boss would be worse than the outburst of her favourite agent.

Hands on his hips, stood with a bare torso and feet, Six grimaced.

  Eve was gone.

  Alone, disobedient and emancipated. Feline.

She needed nothing nor anyone to live her life as she saw fit. She took or gave what she wanted, fled what she did not. And he finally understood it completely.

His gaze brushed over the sitting room, until it reached the kitchen in the corner and the tiny bathroom embedded into the space of a cupboard. The sliding door showed the mirror above the small sink. And in the middle, a splendid trace in lipstick, placed there for him to see.

  A kiss.

  A promise?

The still-fresh mark of the Panther.
