  An Erotic LitRPG Adventure #2

"For the glory of Kali!" I shouted, lifting my sword high as my horse reared up.

"For the glory of Kali!" my army shouted. "Hail King Artimus! Hail General Carly!"

I grinned at my lord and master, the notorious Wizard Artimus, King of Kali. He'd been teaching me how to more effectively use magic in great battles for the past six months. We were both trapped in the game forever, so were making the best of a bad situation.

"Commanders!" I shouted, using the spell Loud Speak to project my voice so that it sounded like thunder to friend and foe alike. I grinned at the castle before us. It was completely surrounded by our army of orcs, goblins, and liches. "Take command of your companies, and advance! The castle falls today!"

A great cheer rose up. The officers shouted their commands. The army turned away from the hill where Artimus and I sat astride our warhorses. As the troops began marching toward the castle, and arrows rained down upon them from the battlements, I checked my Heads Up Display. In the upper left was a picture of me as my elven avatar. To the right of the picture it showed who and what I was: Carly. Elf. Wench of easy virtue.

I scrunched my nose, still not liking the fact I was a "wench of easy virtue" but Artimus couldn't change it anymore. He lost a lot of his control of the game when he was disconnected and trapped in the game. Because of his tinkering, there were quite a few players permanently stuck in the game. I was just the first. Yeah, not a particularly great honor.

Despite my lowly class, I'd been the wizard's favorite apprentice for the last six months. I now had command of powerful spells, and even more powerful items of power. This wench of easy virtue was a force to be reckoned with. Even better, I'd long ago rid myself of that skimpy Princess Leia slave girl outfit. I wore silvery armor protecting my chest and back, with thick black leather covering my arms and lower body. My armor was enchanted to fend off magical attacks. On my forearms was a pair of enchanted bracers. The left bracer produced a shield when I needed it, and the right a sword.

Turning to my right, I willed my sword into my hand. I pointed it at our battery of catapults. "Ready the shot!"

An orcan mage stepped up and placed his hand upon the bundle of wood. A second later, that bundle ignited with arcane blue fire. Then he went down the line, enchanting the shots on all ten catapults. As soon as all ten were glowing blue hellfire, I lifted my sword high.

"Fire!" I shouted, swinging my sword forward. "Sound the attack!"

The catapults boomed as they released their missiles. Balls of hellfire thundered through the air as they arched over to the castle. Each hit with explosive power – Boom! Boom! Boom!

Tall ladders rose up from the charging army. The enemy crowded on the battlements anywhere there was a ladder. I nodded as my troops scurried up the ladders, much faster than mere humans could. But then men with long poles showed up atop the castle, and started pushing the ladders away from the walls.

"Shall we join the battle, my lord?" I asked with a sultry smile. "It looks like fun."

"That it does, my pet," Artimus said. His eyes narrowed when he slanted a look down at my steel-sheathed boobs. "The one who kills the most men gets to be on top tonight."

  "Challenge accepted!"

There was an elaborately carved, pale-wood staff sheathed on my saddle. I pulled it out, watching the icy-blue crystal on the end come to life. It glowed as bright as the sun as I stood up in my stirrups and pointed it at the castle.

Aiming at the men pushing the ladders away, I shouted, "Destroy!"

A lightning bolt shot out of the crystal, streaking over in a flash to strike down a dozen men. Then I aimed at another group, and started striking down as many as I could. Artimus watched me with admiring eyes for a moment, and then he unleashed his own kind of hell upon that castle. He threw super-powered bolts of reddish-yellow lightning. Each bolt struck the stone walls with a thunderclap of power, blowing great holes in the stonework. It wouldn't take him long to reduce that castle to rubble.

Yeah, it looked like I'd be on bottom that night.

Another great shout rose up. Only it was behind me. I froze, and then looked at Artimus with big eyes. Together, we slowly turned in our saddles to find another army charging our rear. Not good.

"It's your old company," Artimus snarled. "The Red Death Warrior's Guild."

I saw the Guild's flags and pennants snapping in the air as they ran towards us. The Red Death Warrior's Guild had almost doubled in size since Artimus killed me in battle, and cursed me to be trapped in the game. Since then, I'd submitted to my lord and master, and joined him in battle and bed. There was little chance my old comrades would see that as a good thing.

"I was hoping I'd never have to face them," I muttered. Then more loudly, "But today is as good a day to slay as any! If you take command of the assault on the castle, I'll deal with the Guild."

"No mercy, Carly," he commanded. That command was backed up with magic, and I felt it in my bones. The magic flowed through me, hot and demanding, sucking my breath away. "Kill them all, but I'll reward you handsomely if you can capture Duke Corvan and give him to me."

  "Challenge accepted!"

Reining my battle steed around, I shouted for my personal guard to follow me. We thundered down that hill. The lead elements of the Guild stopped and set, prepared to repel a cavalry charge. But they didn't figure on facing a powerful warrior-mage.

"Charge!" I cried, swinging my staff in a great arch. Intense energy shot out of the crystal and spread out before me. I smiled with wicked glee, and shouted the trigger word, "Smash!"

That wall of blue-white energy surged across the ground, straight at the middle of the Guild's line. When it hit, men, women, and horses went flying in every direction. At the same time, the Guild's mages unleashed on me. Fireballs, lightning bolts, and glowing tendrils of power leapt at me. I threw one splayed hand forward, throwing up a powerful arcane shield. It glowed purple, flashing brighter when struck by a spell or bolt.

My troops of mounted lancers were protected. The rest of my host were liches and goblins on foot, but they were doing a good job of keeping up. So I led the mounted men straight into the Guild lines, shattering them. We plowed in deep, deep, deep. My warhorse began kicking and spinning, while I lashed out with sword and spells, slaying any and all who challenged me.

  It was glorious!

"Here come the monsters!" a Guild warrior cried.

Liches were the first wave. They slammed into the disorganized rabble, swinging their scimitars and shields to great
effect. The Guild recoiled, and a great shout of dismay rose up. Then I heard Duke Corvan shouting orders, rallying his troops.

The goblins split up and hit the Guild's flanks. I was so proud. Months of hard training was finally paying off. Suddenly a drow mage jumped in front of me. My mount reared up when fireballs sprang to life in both of his hands. Then I noticed the script above his head.

  Drow. Mage (Lvl 30).

"Oh my god, is that you, Jax!"

He paused, and cocked his head. His eyes moved above my head and read the script there. I cringed just a little, since it was kind of embarrassing.

"You're a level 85 wench of easy virtue? In battle?" He looked confused, and then realization dawned. "Carly? Why are you fighting for Artimus?"

My face heated up. I'd leveled up quite a bit in the last six months. Mostly in the Skill of Sex. Kind of embarrassing, but my avatar was a natural for that skill. It was more unfortunate, since no one but me could see I was also a level 22 spellcaster and level 29 swordfighter.

I shrugged. "He defeated and, um, claimed me. I didn't really have much choice, and it's really not that bad." I grinned down at him. "I am his favorite apprentice now."

Despite admitting that to a man I knew despised Artimus, just as I had before my capture, I felt a visceral pleasure at telling him that. Maybe some of Artimus' evil was rubbing off on me. But then again, I've always kind of enjoyed shocking people.

His dark eyes flashed. "Well, you are about to be his favorite corpse!"

I balled my left hand into a fist, pointed it at Jax's chest, and sent a fireball at him. The drow mage threw up a shield, which glowed blue upon my fireball's impact. He dropped into a fighting stance, both hands glowing with fiery intensity.

"Duh," I said, leaning over and pointing my staff at the drow. "I'm a player. I don't do corpse. I respawn."

Jax opened his inventory. Nice try, but I wasn't going to give him time to pull out anything powerful enough to stop my attack.

"Blast!" A huge bolt of energy shot out. It struck Jax's shield with a loud report.

  BOOM!

  So I hit him again.

  BOOM!

  And again.

  BOOM!

More Guild warriors charged towards me. That forced me to spur my horse forward, straight at Jax. He dodged to the side, and then hit me with a fireball. My armor protected me, but I felt a hit on my Health and Mana. The mana fed the enchanted armor, stealing a point with every defense of my body. Thanks to the armor, I only suffered a few points off my health.

Turning the warhorse around, I spurred at Jax again. Two warriors leapt out to either side of me. One was a huge half-ogre. The other a tall Viking Valkyrie looking woman.

  Half-ogre. Warrior (Lvl 16).

  Human. Battle-maid (Lvl 28).

Ogge and Isobelle? I thought, and that brief second of distraction was all they needed. Ogge threw his shield. It was a mundane item, so the magic in my armor didn't kick in. It struck me in the breast plate, caving in the armor above my left boob. At the same time, Isobelle darted in and thrust her sword into my right thigh. "Aaaiiee! Dammit all."

The stupid, well-trained horse cut right suddenly, and I went tumbling to the ground. Rolling upon impact, I came up on my feet. Ogge, Isobelle, and Jax froze, staring incredulously at me. I guess they were still trying to fathom me being one of the bad guys. That gave me time to fish out a healing potion. It tasted bitter, but my health immediately jumped up ten points, and then started ticking up a point every ten seconds. Yeah, that potion was some powerful shit.

"Perhaps we've gotten off on the wrong foot…" I said, giving them my best winning smile. "Can't we just be friends?"

I covertly looked around for help. They had me cut off from my men by a good twenty feet, and every foot counted in battle.

"We're not your friends as long as you serve the Dark Lord," Isobelle sneered.

"Oh. Yes. Um, he doesn't really like being called a 'Dark Lord,'" I said. "Artimus doesn't think of himself as evil at all. He's really just a misunderstood – "

They didn't allow me the courtesy of finishing. Isobelle lunged at me. She led with her long sword. I parried with my staff, which sent a jolt into her blade. I couldn't stop the grin from spreading across my face when the tall, gorgeous beyond belief blonde cried out and was knocked a dozen feet back. She slammed against a tree, and slumped to the ground.

Ogge was on me in a flash. He wielded a huge Claymore as long as I was tall. Again, I swung my enchanted staff to parry, but the power of his stroke knocked it from my grasp. My fingers were numb, but I was still able to point my Ring of Fire at his chest and send a fireball at him. The half-ogre was knocked down, furiously patting his burning chest hairs. Jax attacked before I could finish Ogge off.

"You've gone evil, Carly," Jax said. "I'm so disappointed in you."

That hurt. It wasn't my fault if he saw me as evil. I was just playing the hand the game gave me. All I could do was my best, and try to advance and level up. What did he expect? Besides, he was playing a drow.

"Hey, blame the game," I said. "Not the player."

Excruciating pain ripped through my chest. Three feet of blood-smeared steel erupted from my chest. The pain sucked the air out of my lungs. Jax smirked at me, looking so self-satisfied despite not being the one to deliver the killing blow.

"Yeah. Don't blame me, Carly," Ogge said in his deep base. "Blame the game, and die."

It was his blade piercing my heart. I felt the life flow out as I crumbled to the ground.

Why is it taking so long to die! I wondered. Damn, that hurts!

"When you respawn," Jax said, dropping to a knee beside my head. "I suggest you reconsider your choices."

Darkness slammed into me before I could summon the air to respond. It was cold for the briefest second. And then light exploded in my eyes.

"Aaiiee! Ooohh," I cried, and sat up.

I was in the middle of a common room of a tavern or something, though it was the brightest, most gaudily decorated tavern I'd ever seen. I saw lots of male orcs, goblins, kobolds, but no humans or elves. Everyone was staring at me in surprise. Mostly, though, there were women. Lots and lots of scantily clad women of several races: elf, human, drow, etc…

I didn't recognize where I respawned. It wasn't the respawn inn in Ankor. Then I remembered that while I was battling Artimus six months back he cast a spell that changed my respawn site. Where did he say it was going to be? I struggled for a second, and then the memory slammed into me. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.

"Noooo! Artimus, you idiot! You forgot to change my respawn site to the castle!"

  Chapter 2

"Respawn site?" a kobold said, looking at me curiously. "You're a renny?"

The rather large kobold started towards me. He was a giant at five feet tall, with thicker limbs than I'd seen before on one of his kind. Did they have a larger race of kobold on this side of the world?

I looked around at all the garish décor. Memories of the knock-down, drag-out fight I'd had with Artimus returned. The wizard changed my respawn site in a fit of petty rage, designating a new site on the other side of the world. Worse, he told me it a dockside brothel. I noticed a pole on one stage. The fact most of the young women around me were topless spoke volumes.

"I'm going to get you for this, Artimus," I snarled, rolling to one knee. Giving the kobold a fierce look, I asked, "What's a 'renny?'"

I was back in my Princess Leia slave girl outfit. Perfect for working in a cathouse. The skimpy purple "skirt" barely covered my most private spot. My boobs bulged out of the top, barely contained in the best of circumstances. My waist-length brown hair was back in that long braid, too. Though, I was shocked and delighted to see my bracers were still on my forearms. Did Artimus bind them to me when he returned them? Yet it didn't occur to him to change my respawn site back to his side of the world.

Jax, Ogge, and Isobelle got lucky killing me. I dropped my Ring of Fire, the staff, and all of that gre
at enchanted armor. They'd each get one dropped item, but would split the very heavy purse full of gold and silver coins I left behind. Hell, I'd never been so lucky with a kill.

"A renny, or renner, is anyone who reincarnates immediately upon death. I'm Taks Daarkin and the owner of this fine establishment," the approaching kobold said. The reptilian-dog looking creature wore a red tunic and trousers. His feet were halfway between paw and human foot, so he was barefooted. He had several tattoos on his light brown scales, and lots of piercings in his snout and ears. I didn't see any weapons on him, but the kobold had a mercenary glint in his eyes that was quite alarming. "What's your name?"

"I'm Carly," I said as I rose to my feet. I pointed at the kobold, giving him a steely gaze. "Stay back. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I'm more than willing to do so."

One of the other girls, a gorgeous drow in midnight blue, handed the kobold some manacles. A chill slithered up my spine, and my insides clenched. Most of the other girls in the room smiled with wicked glee, though a few looked sad.

"Don't be like that, my pretty," he said. "Can't we just be friends?"

That statement made me examine him more closely. Normal NPCs don't generally speak like that.

  Kobold. Brothel owner (Lvl 32).

  "You're a player?"

He paused and looked above my head. "Guilty as charged. Who sent you here to me? A wizard? I'll have to thank him for such a beautiful gift."

"You must've really pissed him off," the drow bitch said, wagging her brows at me.

I ignored the drow. She wasn't a threat to me. Not yet. My only concern was Taks and his manacles. If he got those things on me, then I had little chance of escaping.

"Good guess," I said, looking around for help. The kobold slowed his approach, but he was still moving closer. "He sent me here as a joke or something. So back off." I gave him a curious look. "So, why did you choose to play a kobold?"
